(A/N): This is my first Bad Girls fanfic, and honestly, I ended up watching this show because I saw some bloopers of series 6 on youtube. And I loved Frances and Colin together, but I felt like it should've been continued, so here is a tiny continuation off of series 6 that I hope you like, featuring the two Julies because I love them too. I own nothing to do with Bad Girls, but please, read on and let me know what you think. Rated T for language and actions, though nothing too graphic, I don't think.
Surprises
"Thank god the evil bitch is gone!"
"Good riddance!"
Colin Hedges managed to stop himself from commenting, just. The prisoners and prison officers both had damn near thrown a party when they'd found out Wing Governor Frances Myers had left, gone to be a number one governor at HMP Whitehouse. He honestly didn't know what would happen in G wing without Frances there. None of the women would ever admit to it, but Colin knew there was a tiny bit of them that had been afraid of Frances, cowed even. Her methods were unorthodox and no one was ever sure how she was going to react to a situation, but she ran her wing with an iron fist, forcing the girls to go along with her way as well. She was hardly more popular with the veteran prison officers, though the younger ones seemed to find her tough but fair as far as they were concerned. Those like Sylvia or Di though, could barely wait for her to leave, though they'd have preferred it to be in disgrace rather than a promotion. It was no wonder they'd celebrate her leaving, celebrate never having to see her again.
He barely concealed a smirk as he commenced lock up for the evening, his last task before his shift finished. Most of the nighttime comments were still victorious ones over Myers' departure two days before, particularly from the Costa Cons and Natalie Buxton. The latter had murmured spitefully to him earlier in the day that he wouldn't get away with being a lap dog to whoever came next, sneering at him with a dark, unsettling look in her eye, and for the first time, he truly understood what Frances had been saying from the start on how evil she was. He had no doubt she was playing everyone, letting them see only what she wanted them to see and manipulating everyone because she could. The only one she couldn't manipulate was Frances, and she was gone. Colin wouldn't be surprised if Natalie became top dog within twenty four hours at this rate. He finished up locking his row of cells, hopping down the steps rather lightly for someone finishing up a twelve hour shift.
"You're awfully chipper this evening." Sylvia commented briskly as he headed into the office just off the atrium to return his prison radio to the docking station. "Hot date tonight?"
"Something like that. Night Sylvia." Colin smiled as he left the room, heading for the locker room to get his things on his way out. Somehow managing to reach the staff entrance in nearly record time, he posted his prison keys through and received his own in return, the guard, Peter, in the office watching him with a smirk. "What?" Colin finally asked.
The guard's smirk widened. "She's waiting for you by your car, Hedges. See you tomorrow."
"Yeah, see ya." Colin exited the building, finding his car parked exactly where he'd left it in the corner of the yard. "Hello?" He called out cautiously, gripping his keys a little tighter in his hand. A shadow stepped forward, being thrown into the flood light's gaze. His face broke into a smile as he stalked forward, dropping his bag and keys in front of his car in favour of wrapping his arms around the visitor's waist. "Frances." He dipped his head to hers, lips meeting in a familiar fierce, passionate dance as his hands pulled her as close to his body as possible. Hers weren't idle either, running up his back to tangle in his hair in order to get him to deepen their kiss. Backing her up to the side of his car, he broke away from her lips to press hot little kisses down the side of her jaw towards her neck as she lifted one of her long legs to wrap round his waist, dragging him even closer with a guttural groan on both sides. Frances' head tipped back as her back arched, Colin nipping and kissing his way down her neck to her collarbone, his hand encouraging her other leg to wrap round his waist as well.
A clatter from somewhere brought them out of their own little world, Colin reluctantly letting Frances slide back down to her feet as they both tried not to burst out laughing at pulling apart like a pair of caught teenagers. "I think we just gave people quite the show." Frances huffed out a laugh. "That'll definitely be on the cameras at least."
Colin tucked a stray piece of her hair behind her ear, his breath hot on the side of her neck and making her shiver. "So, dinner… or straight to bed?"
"Hmm, surprise me."
Colin smirked, finally picking up his belongings so they could leave for the night. Larkhall may have lost Frances Myers, but he sure hadn't.
…
"Ju, Ju, here, come and have a look at this." Julie S beckoned Julie J over to the window, which overlooked the yard the prison officers parked in. She looked out at the night three times a week to send her heartfelt messages to Yvonne, and that night just happened to be one of them. It had also coincided with Colin leaving for the night.
"Why, what's going on?" Julie J climbed up onto the bed beside her, both peering out into the dark.
"There's someone waiting for our Mr Hedges. Near his car, see." Julie S pointed to a small blurry shadow that shouldn't be next to Colin's car, the two Julies sharing a worried look. Thankfully though, Colin seemed to notice, stopping dead a few steps from his vehicle. Whoever was there stepped forward, though neither Julie could make out who it was. "Who is it, can you see, Ju?"
"No, it's too dark out, Ju. We'd need their face in the light to identify them from up here."
Both returned to watching the scene just as Colin dropped his belongings and surged forward, clearly embracing whoever it was. The Julies both watched in astonishment as he leant down and hands reached up to tangle in his hair. "Here, he's snogging them." Julie J commented in stunned surprise.
"Got to be a woman then, and a screw. Ain't that many to pick from and I thought Hedges would have better taste than any of our officers." Julie S shrugged. They both resumed watching as Colin pushed the mystery woman against the side of his car, the side in full view of the flood light, so illuminating the way one leg wrapped wantonly round his waist and hands clutched him closer. His head dipped, clearly kissing down the woman's neck in such a fashion both prisoners could tell he'd done it before with whoever the woman was. This was no new fling, not at all.
Both Julies gasped in astonishment and shock as the woman tipped her head back, throwing it starkly into the light, her face clearly identifiable to the two inmates. "Bloody hell it's Myers!" They whispered in unison, their eyes never leaving the scene as Colin's head made its way awfully close to the ex-wing governor's breasts before they hurriedly pulled apart with a bit of laughter, climbing into Colin's car and leaving together. The two Julies turned to stare at each other with wide eyes.
"Did, did we just see our meek Colin Hedges nearly shag our ex wing governor up against the side of his car?" Julie J asked faintly, her hand covering her mouth with the shock of what they'd just seen.
Julie S nodded just as faintly. "I think we did Ju. We definitely saw him snogging Myers' face off with her legs round his waist at least."
"Who'd have thought it eh? I always thought Myers was too uptight for anything like that."
"Clearly not. Here, how long d'you reckon it's been going on for? Only the way he was touching her, they've definitely done it before."
"Who knows?" Julie J shrugged. "Though I suppose if he had to be screwing one of the screws, one who don't work here anymore is the better option."
"Plus, for all she's a hard bitch, Myers is probably the better looking one for him to go for." Julie S managed a smirk. "Not what I was expecting to see tonight though."
