Firstly, I am aware the whole "Pahkitew Island cast with Revenge of the Island cast" idea has been done a lot. However, I feel as to what's being revealed in this chapter should help mix it up a bit. Though, if you want to click off and read something else, that's fine! I'm not forcing you to read this. Also, this takes place before Season 4, so no characters in this cast have met yet, and toxic waste is still on the island. With that out of the way, let's get this show on the road!
In the skies above the sea, Chef and Chris were in a helicopter flying back to Camp Wawanakwa for a whole new season of Total Drama. Chef was piloting the helicopter, while Chris was in his chair, with his arms crossed and a mad expression on his face. All of a sudden, Chris started ranting.
"I can't believe we were only allowed to pick thirteen contestants for this season! What, do the producers think I don't deserve so many teens because I send them through so much or something?!"
"I think you could take a wild guess as to what that answer is." Chef said, keeping his eyes focused on piloting.
"Well, I'm not having it! Thirteen teens means thirteen episodes. That's half of the usual! The show's tagline is "Total Drama", and drama can't be produced when there are barely any people around to produce it!" Chef simply rolls his eyes after hearing that. "Y'know what? I'm not having this, I'm getting more guys for this season!" Chris finishes his rant, and pulls out his phone, dialling a number. When it was dialled, someone picked up from the over end, that being one of the producers.
"Hello- oh, it's you McLean. What do you want.," He asked into the phone.
"Yeah, hi, you're making a big mistake by only giving me thirteen lucky contestants. After all, how can it be "Total Drama" if there's barely anyone around after five or so episodes?" Hearing that, the producer decided to make his counter-argument.
"McLean, in Season Two, you had a much smaller cast compared to the last season. While yes, you did extend the season by adding a lot of reward challenges, you still made a season with plenty of drama and action, no pun intended."
Chris took these points into consideration, but came up with a great counterargument.
"Yeah, sure, I did, but a lot of reviews of the season didn't like me doing that. Besides, all of those guys were previous players in Season One, who had the chance to make some commotion there. With a new cast, if someone gets the boot early on, they're not getting another chance, and will remain just kinda there when people look back on the season. More teens equals more episodes which equals more chances for some pretty heated stuff." The Producer didn't say anything. "...Aw c'mon, there's gotta be something I can do that will let me do this."
"...Actually, there is something." The Producer responded, while Chris began grinning. "See, you know how we barely let you get away with pitting new teens on a toxic wasteland once known as Camp Wawanakwa? Well, we didn't take into consideration what that would change the wildlife. They've become mutants, monsters of their former selves. If we show that on international Television, this will attract the attention of a lot of people. Animal lovers, environmental safety laws, and maybe even the police. My point is, we can't show that stuff to the world. We need a way to cover it up.. at least for the first few episodes." Chris seemed intrigued.
"...How so?"
"Basically," The Producer started explaining, "we've had these robot animals that haven't gone used since our old days of media, like your old talking cat movies," Chris shuddered hearing that, "so who's saying we can't fix them up, place them on the island to make it look normal, and get all suspicions off our backs?" Chris pondered for a second after hearing that.
"Yeah, sure, I can do that, but what's the catch? If I know Television, which I do, there's always a twist that makes me lose something for this deal."
"Well, to fix these old robots up, and install Artificial Intelligence, we'll need some cash… and it'll have to come out of your budget. So, a deal refresher: we give you more contestants, while you lose some of your budget to cover up the toxic waste stuff. Are you in?" Chris wondered for a second. He'd have to lose out on making some pretty intense stuff for this season, but also get a boatload of drama for the show. After seven or so seconds, he responded.
"Well, there's a lot of old junk on that island I could use for the season, soooo… yeah." The Producer chuckled.
"Ah, you know that island so well. Well, we'll get some people to look through the rejected audition tapes and get you… how about fourteen more contestants?" Chris also wondered about that… uneven teams could cause some drama.
"Sounds good."
"Alright, you can expect the results in… let's say, a week. Good luck with your season, and please don't risk any of their lives, alright?" The Producer hung up, and Chris chuckled.
"Well Chef, looks like this season we'll have even more contestants than last time! Though, for the meantime, we should probably call off that Yacht containing our first batch of newbies. I like first impressions, after all." Chris explained, while pulling out a phone. "Well, no matter what happens, I know this season is gonna be GREAT." As he laughed manically, Chef pulled around the helicopter, as they didn't need to go back to that toxic waste dump just yet… but soon enough, they will.
Well! I did say there was gonna be some interested plot points revealed, no? It's kind of like mixing Seasons 4 and 6 (or 5.2, depending on what you like) completely together, not just the cast. Also, you can expect some character development from Beardo, I think he could have been a pretty good character given the chance. Well, see you in Episode 1!
