My Girlfriend Can Kick Your Ass

Norman sighed tiredly to himself as he walked through the halls of the large school.

Being president of the student council constantly kept him busy due to the many issues that always needed solving, including ones he was pretty sure were really the jobs of the teachers that they just shoved on him and his peers so they could sit in their lounge drinking coffee and gossip about student lives to make up for their lack of own lives.

Still, he loved his position and the trust everyone always had in him.

Now he was on his way to meet up with his girlfriend Emma at the entrance.

He grinned to himself as he thought of her sweet smile that she would surely greet him with along with a hug like always.

Only then he jumped at hearing a loud bang and turning to the left he frowned upon seeing some stairs where three boys were sitting.

He easily recognized them as a group of delinquents who were always getting in trouble in and out of school, laughing and insulting each other.

Still, at the moment they weren't doing anything other than being a little loud so Norman decided it wasn't something he needed to get involved in and went to leave, only for one of the delinquents to spot him.

"Huh? What are you looking at, nerd?!" he sneered at Norman who mentally groaned while outwardly shooting his usual friendly close-eyed smile.

"Nothing really. I'll be going now. Have a good day." he answered with a small wave and started walking again, hoping they'd leave him alone.

Of course they didn't, however, as rapid footsteps came closer, signaling they were following him.

Sure enough as soon as they reached him a hand grabbed his shoulder and roughly spun him around to face all three punks glaring at him.

"Where do you think you're going?! You think you can just walk away from us?!" the one holding him growled.

Norman stopped smiling, knowing guys like this would only see it as an insult.

"My apologies. I don't want any trouble and thought I should leave you be without trying to bother you." he told them, hoping they'd back off.

Honestly, he wasn't surprised when they didn't, the one holding him letting go but not leaving.

"Don't go trying to act cute! You think you're better than us, don't you?! Like we're some stupid monkeys or something not worthy of you time, right?!" the one on the left snarled, reaching out and shoving Norman.

'I couldn't have said it better myself...' Norman thought dryly but lightly bit his lip to be completely sure he didn't say it out loud.

"Hey, hang on a sec... I know you! You're that president guy!" the middle one who had grabbed him earlier suddenly said and Norman tensed, knowing them recognizing him could go two ways.

They'd either figure they could get in trouble again for messing with him and finally leave him alone or they'd decide his position was a motivation to harass him.

"One of my buddies got in detention last week because you had to snitch on him when he just wanted a smoke!" the thug yelled.

Norman remembered how he'd told a teacher how another student had been smoking inside the halls, something strictly against the rules.

"He seriously told a teacher instead of even saying something himself? Ha! I can see him being scared to anything on his own! He's such a weakling he can't even hold his own bag!" the thug on the right laughed obnoxiously as he slammed a hand against Norman's schoolbag, making him drop it on the floor.

'Real mature, asshole.' Norman thought as he went to pick it up only for the other guy to sadly be faster.

"He's like a girl! I mean, look! He's even got one of those toy-thingies attached!" he laughed as he held up the bag to his friends, showing off the tiny giraffe plushie he had tied to it.

Now Norman was starting to get frustrated.

After all, Emma had given him that plushie so in her own words, 'he'd always have her with him in a way'.

"Hey." he called, making the three snap their gazes back to him.

"That thing is really important so could you please be careful?" he asked and right away wanted to slap himself for it because really, telling guys like that something was important?

That would guarantee they'd be anything but careful!

Sure enough the one holding his bag barked out a laugh.

"Oh, it's important, is it? Then I guess I better put it down!" he pretended like he was going to put it slowly on the floor only to then throw it through the air down the hall.

Norman winced as his bag his the ground with a loud thud while the thugs laughed together.

Still, at least his bag was now out of their reach so they couldn't mess with it more and he didn't really have anything in his bag that could have broken from the fall.

Seeing it was also thrown in the way he had been heading he figured he could kills two words with one stone and both get his bag back and get away from these losers.

Praying they'd accept it and let him go he asked them, "Listen, I'm really sorry about what I did to you friend. If I promise to from now on let you do as you please without getting involved, may I please leave?"

"Awww! You wanna go already? You're breaking my heart, man!" the middle one pouted mockingly.

"Yeah, you got somewhere to be? Got a little date or something?" the right one snickered, obviously not believing that.

"Tch! Like some loser like this guy could get a girlfriend! Just look it him! He's a literal chicken-bone without an ounce of muscle!" the one on the left scoffed.

Obviously he was the one who disliked Norman the most.

"You got a point there and look at that crazy white hair! He looks like a grandpa!" the middle one added and once again the three were laughing at him.

Norman mentally rolled his eyes.

Jabs at his appearance had stopped bothering him years ago.

"Norman?" a familiar feminine voice suddenly called, surprising Norman.

"Emma?" he turned around to find his girlfriend standing in the hall, by his fallen bag.

"Hey, you were taking a while so I went looking for you. What's going on here?" she frowned as she looked between him and his bag before noticing the goons with him.

She frowned harder and Norman knew she understood what was happening as while she might be a bit air-headed at times, Emma was very smart.

He knew he had to say something before she could start something.

"Nothing is going on, Emma. Excuse us, gentlemen but we really need to get going." he flashed the goons a smile and without waiting for a response started walking towards Emma who had picked up his bag.

"Wait, hang on! You really did have a date or something?!" he could hear the right guy cry out from behind him.

"Yeah he did. What about it?" Emma answered for Norman with a glare.

"You're really going out with a nerd like that? Come on, girl! You could do way better!" the right guy told her and she growled.

"What? Like someone like you who does nothing but laze around and cause trouble?" she huffed.

"Why not me? I'm a pretty good looking guy who knows how to have fun, unlike this girly bitch that looks and acts like an old man!" he smirked back, cockily pointing a thumb at his chest.

"What did you just call Norman?!" Emma cried out with wide eyes.

She started marching towards the thugs but Norman stopped her by holding his arm out.

"Easy, Emma. You don't have to so anything." he told her gently, hoping to calm her down.

"Look at that! What's there even to like about a coward who just wants to run away? Just dump him already, babe!" the thug yelled and now Norman had to physically restrain Emma from charging at him.

"You take that back!" she yelled, face red from anger.

"Yeah, bro! You can't say that!" the middle one surprisingly seemed to agree with Emma, catching them both off guard.

"Why you gotta go and call that ugly chick a babe?" he added, revealing himself to only want to throw more fuel to the fire.

"What?" Norman asked tensely because while he didn't mind and could deal with getting insulted himself, insulting Emma was a whole different deal.

"He's right, man!" the left one snorted, "If it weren't for the uniform with the skirt I'd have guessed she was a dude! Look at those her! Tiny tits, tiny ass, no curves at all! And what's with that weird spiky hair?!"

"Ahem!" Norman loudly cleared his throat, making them stop to stare at him.

"While I couldn't care less about getting insulted myself, I really don't appreciate what you just said about Emma so you better apologize." he told them, glaring coldly now instead of a fake sunny smile.

Meanwhile said girl was struggling against his hold.

"What?! You threatening us? Some guy who makes his girlfriend fight for him?! That's pathetic! " the middle thug sneered, only stopping when Norman chuckled darkly.

"Tell me." he smirked at them, "What would be more pathetic? Allowing your girlfriend to fight or getting beat up by said girl?" he asked.

"Huh?!"

Norman chuckled a little more before letting go of Emma who had stopped struggling and threw an arm around her shoulders.

"My girlfriend can kick your ass." he told them with a grin.

"HUH?! YOU THINK YOU CAN TALK TO US LIKE THAT?! GET THEM!" the middle one roared and with that the three charged at the couple.

As they got closer Emma looked up at Norman.

"Does this mean, I can?" she asked.

"Yes, you can. Go ahead." Norman nodded.

"Yay! Could you hold my bag, please?" she asked sweetly.

"I've got your bag, Em. Kick their asses." Norman answered just as sweetly as he took both his own and Emma's bag.

The thugs meanwhile had reached them and the right one was about to try and punch Norman only for Emma to grab him by the wrist, stopping him with his fist a hair's lenght away from Norman's chin.

Norman didn't even flinch while the thugs stared in shock.

"Just so you know, I really don't like it when someone bothers those I love so I'll teach you a lesson!" Emma told them with a bright smile that really didn't fit the situation.

Then she pounced.

"There we go! I hope you learned your lesson!" Emma stood with her hands on her hips as she glared at the three thugs who were laying on the ground covered in bruises.

One even had a nosebleed.

"Emma, I'm not sure they can hear you. In fact, I think they're all unconscious." Norman told her from where he stood leaning against the wall as he fiddled with his phone.

"But I do think you got your point across. Now we really should get going." he told her, approaching and gently wrapping an arm around her which was already enough to make the girl loose all tension and completely relax and cuddle into his side.

"Okay~" she chirped, making him chuckle again as he started to lead her away.

"Though I really don't think you had break that one guy's nose." he tutted.

"Hey, they had it coming! I know you so I know you did nothing to deserve them harrassing you like that! Besides, you know I'll always fight to defend those I love! Especially you..." she mumbled the last part softly as she looked down with a light blush.

'So cute!' Norman thought to himself tenderly.

Pulling her closer he pressed a quick kiss on top of her head.

"My heroine~" he cooed as she giggled.

"Now, there's one more thing to do." he straightened, confusing Emma.

"There is?" she blinked up at him.

"Yes. there is. Right... here!" he guided her into a random hall and knocked on a door that Emma recognized as a teacher's lounge.

"Yes, what is it?" one teacher known from his strictness asked as h opened the door.

"Ah, please excuse us but there are students fighting over there. We thought we should let you know before any lasting injuries could form." Norman told the man, wearing his usual friendly perfect-student smile while Emma, having caught on to what he was doing made a show of pretending to look worried as she looked back at where they came from.

"What?! Fighting?! Good job on coming kids! We'll handle it from here!" the teacher barked before storming past them, a few other teachers on his heels.

"There. Now we'll be sure thy won't bother us or anyone ever again." Norman pretended to dust of his hands before putting his arm around Emma again.

"Yeah, after a good beating from me and now whatever punishment they'll get they wouldn't dare!" Emma cheered.

"Actually, I know for a fact they've all been warned multiple times regarding violence and destruction of property and if they'd end up getting caught again they'd get expelled." Norman told her cheerfully, surprising her.

"Expelled?!" she blurted, "Don't you think that's too much? I mean, I-"

"You got insulted by them too. Just because I may not be as strong as you doesn't mean I won't do anything to avenge you." he told her.

Emma blinked and stared for a moment before laughing and reaching up to kiss his cheek.

"Now you're my hero!" she giggled.

"Then if I'm your hero, why don't you reward me by letting me treat you to some cake at that new cafe you've been wanting to visit?" he asked and this time got a kiss on the lips.

Happy with themselves and each other the couple left the school.
