It was time to start the initiation. A long line of students stood on a grassy platform at the top of a cliff. The headmaster Ozpin paced back and forth with a mug of an unknown liquid in his right hand. Glynda stood near him with a stern expression on her face. The sun shone down warmly and birds chirped in the trees.
"For years you have trained to become warriors, and now you have the perfect opportunity to show it. You abilities will be evaluated in the emerald forest. If you do not fight and destroy everything in your path you wi-" His words were cut off by the very world becoming dyed a dark purple.
Turning around at the sound of what seemed like a heart throbbing in the air behind him, he was greeted by a pulsating portal of purple energy about twenty feet tall and wide. It pulsed every few seconds sending purple lightning that crackled and zapped the air and ground around it, shattering earth, stone and tree.
"So is this part of the initiation?" Jaune asked nervously. He was sufficiently intimidated by what looked like a portal to hell opening up in the sky.
Before Ozpin or anyone for that matter could answer, the portal shrunk seemingly collapsing in on itself to a tiny point bofore exploding outward in a burst of purple.
The purple energy pulsed across the land hitting the students and staff, knocking them back away from the edge of the cliff.
When they recovered and rose again, standing in front of them, taller than the cliff stood something strange. There was no word to describe it other than that.
It was a massive humanoid figure in a purple robe. However, calling it a robe did no justice to what it wore. It had a green metal chestplate with gold colored plates in long lines on the shoulders that pushed up in long plates. The robe portion of it covered the arms and lower body. It wore a hood with the same green metal forming a large round plate on the front. Four oval slits were positioned like a circle in it. however, other than the robes and hood, nothing was seen of the being inside.
"This world. It is full of anima and life. However, I sense a darkness that is not my own. I must investigate" The being said. However, it was not in spoken words, but in the minds of everyone there.
Then the being vanished and the land returned to normal. The sky became blue again, and the birds began chirping again.
"Students of Beacon academy. Please remain calm and return to the main campus auditorium. The initiation is cancelled" Ozpin said, his ever calm persona slightly cracking.
The students were still shocked from what they saw and stood there for a few moments before coming to.
Then, Jaune let out a scream. He was steeling himself for dealing with Grimm. A monumental feat for him in itself, but a giant purple robed being that turned the sky purple and dwarfed the cliff in its entirety.
