Ruby was on her way back from spending time in London with her school friends as her phone rings. It was Iain her husband as she had bluetooth built into her car so she answered the call and said" Hey gorgeous missed me?" Iain smiled and said" Yes I've missed you so how was London?"

Ruby smiled and said" London was great as we did clothes shopping, had lunch at a nice restaurant and then we spent the afternoon sightseeing also got something special."

Iain smiled and said" Well I better go we've got a meeting with Josh see you at home.

Ruby nodded as she saw a lorry tumbling down the road. Ruby tried to brake in time but the lorry crashed into Ruby and other cars causing a road traffic accident.

Meanwhile at the ambulance station Josh was having a meeting with his staff when the phone began to ring as he said" Josh Griffiths speaking" as he wrote the information down on the notepad.

He turned round and said" there's been a road traffic accident so they need all available paramedics on the scene also the police and the fire brigade are already at the scene."

When the paramedics arrived they took in the scene as Josh phoned Harry as Harry answered the phone and said Josh what's going on?"

Josh said" Harry there has been a road traffic accident on the motorway and some people are critically injured, some are unconscious and some are dead so you better warn the team that there will be a lot of casualties coming."

Harry nodded and rounded up his team as Lara, Patrick, Simon, Colette, Duffy, Charlie, Jessica, Maggie, Tess, Maggie, Anna, Merlin, Dillion, Jack and the rest of the team gathered round.

Harry simply said" There's been a road traffic accident on the motorway and I've just been informed from Josh that there are loads of casualties coming also some people are critically injured, some unconscious and some are dead so we need to be prepared."

Meanwhile the paramedics was treating people at the road traffic accident when Iain saw his wife's car and ran over to it as he opened the door and found Ruby unconscious with fatal injuries.

Iain got a oxygen mask from the green bag and placed it over his wife's face as the fire brigade started cutting the roof off the car also they helped Iain transfer Ruby from the car to the stretcher as Penny drove back to the hospital with the blue lights and sirens on.

The door to RESUS burst open as Jessica, Harry, Colette and Simon was waiting for the first casualty.

Jessica gasped and saw her old school friend Ruby unconscious also saw that Ruby had fatal injuries. Harry looked at Jessica and said" are you alright Jessica?"

Jessica simply said" Harry, Ruby is my old school friend as we attended the same primary and secondary school together also we both applied for the same university as Jessica was in tears seeing her friend lying on the bed unconscious.

Harry nodded as Simon put Ruby on a ventilator to help Ruby breath more easier.

When Iain came back from his shift he saw Harry and said" Harry how's Ruby?"

Harry said" Ruby is paralysed as the crash damaged the bones in her legs also she'll need support whilst she is on a ventilator to help her more easier."

Iain nodded and said" can I go and see Ruby?"

Harry nodded and said" Yes you can go and see Ruby as she is on the ICU ward also she'll be monitored closely."

Iain nodded and went up to the ICU Ward where he sat down in the chair and held his wife's hand.
