I...never thought I'd actually do this. But here we are! This is an idea...I will write another chapter definitely. If you have any questions after reading you can ask! I'll answer them without spoiling. It's rated T for now, until we get to the juicy stuff ;) until then, enjoy!

The ride back to Ponyville was a long one. They had visited Princess Cadence and Twilight's brother, Shining Armor, after they requested they come and babysit their 3 year old daughter while they ran some 'errands' as they called it. They did have a visitor though, Cheese Sandwich, not that the married pair minded. He was a good guy, especially good for Pinkie, and the other mares didn't mind his presence. Pinkie always had time for her boyfriend and her best friends, never slacking one bit.

The others were doing their own thing while the pair was snuggled in a comfortable silence, watching the scenery fly past them, small smiles plastered on their face.

Spike was on Twilight's lap, eyes closed in content as Twilight pet him with one hand, her nose deep in a book that was held by the other. She yawned, but it went unnoticed to the other girls.

Rainbow Dash was playing a game on her phone, Applejack as well. Their brows furrowed in concentration, it seemed they were competing with eachother. It never failed really, Rainbow and Apple were always trying to be better than the other.

Rarity was busying herself with Fluttershy's hair, braiding it, twisting, even pinning some parts up. Somehow the shy girl's hair never knotted, it remained silky smooth, something she envied. But nevertheless decided it was a good canvas to experiment with new hairstyles that would match her current projects.

Soon the train stopped, the six of them walked off, bags in hand. Well, except Rarity. Applejack had the task of carrying the fashionista's wagon full of unneeded items. "Do ya really need all this stuff, Rarity?"

"But of course Darling. One could never be so prepared" there was a smug look on her face as she examined her blue nails.

The farmergirl just rolled her eyes. She expected she was burdened with her stuff, having been the strongest of the group. "Next time, You gotta carry ya own stuff"

"Of course"As usual, she didn't mean it. Applejack would still do it, she was too kind to decline. Not that Rarity wanted to use her for that of course, but she did it for reasons she'd never say out loud.

Truth be told she never expected to gain feelings for the tomboy she had so little in common with. She was unsure when it all started, maybe with the sleepovers the duo had with Twilight once a month. Just thinking about it caused her to sigh, taking a few bags from Applejack, ignoring the confused questions she shot at her. She just shrugged and walked ahead of the group, hiding her blush.

Sunset Shimmer, who stayed behind from the trip and came to the station to greet them, noticed the expression and they both locked eyes, but spoke of nothing.

"Sunset! There you are! How was managing the library?"

"-and caring for the animals?"

"Did Big Mac take care of the buckin' while I was gone too?"

"Slow down you guys! I took care of everything- Rarity! Leaving so soon?"

The purple haired girl turned at the voice with a tense grin. "I uhm...have a few new outfits that need finishing and.." She trailed off, laughing nervously.

"Ya sure sugarcube?" AJ piped up, stepping towards the now blushing girl. That nickname was something she hadn't heard her say in a long time..especially directly to her, "We were all plannin' on goin' to Twi's for the night, ya know, a lil' sleepover?"

Sleepover..a night..with Applejack. She's done it before, why did the mere thought of it now send butterflies to her stomach. But her eyes..they bore into her, but she had to say no-

"Okay okay. Maybe for the night"

Rarity what are you doing no!!

"Yay! We can have a party the whole night!" Pinkie bounced.

"Oh oh! I'll bring the balloons!" Cheese added.

"S-slow down you two! We can go there and plan on our way there" Twilight began to make her way to the castle.

Rarity sighed and glanced at Applejack, who seemed to wait for her with a warm smile. Her heart stopped but her legs moved without a second thought, trotting beside her and walked. Her hand glanced at Applejack's own and twitched; wanting to hold it. She blamed the exhaustion really, but her pinkie grazed the country girl's hand, which drew back at the contact.

Applejack glanced at Rarity, who had the same blush she had, then looked ahead of her, at the others. The two of them were at the back of the group, silent. Swallowing thickly, her own pinky wrapped around hers, and the walked the whole way there like that.

It was going to be a rough night.
