It was nearing 6 am, Corine's alarm was louder than ever that early morning. The sound of Manhattan traffic was blaring through her window that had been cracked open. She groaned, rolling over to slap her alarm clock, silencing the blaring alarm. It was Saturday, she didn't have to show up at the firm that morning. It probably would have been best too, considering she had only been home a total of two hours. The previous night she and group of girlfriends had found themselves bar hopping at various hotspots in the city. They were celebrating Corine finazling her divorce. She had been married for only a year. She married at the age at 25, to a man who thought it would be wise to sleep with his wife's secretary. Several bottles of champagne and many glasses of Malibu and Sprite, she had wound up hungover as hell that morning. Corine sats up slowly, stretching out her arms as she gazed out of her apartment bedroom window. The sun was rather bright that morning, and the cool autumn air crept through the cracked window, sending chills up and down her arms. Suddenly, Corine felt some sort of movement in her bed, right beside of her. "Fuck..." She thought to herself. She had wound up back in bed with her ex husband. She didn't even want to look over. She knew the sight would disturb her, ruin everything she had literally finalized. The auburn haired woman turned her head slowly, to find to her surprise...it wasn't her husband. Instead, a raven haired man, with chiseled features. Both lying naked in the bed. Good job Corine...bringing someone new home after being a newly single woman not even twenty-four hours later. She jumped slightly grabbing the sheets to cover herself up. Emerald hues flutter open, as the an glanced over at her. She nervously smiled, "Umm...good morning," she said softly. He groaned softly, as he regains full consciousness. A charming smile crept upon his face, "Indeed it is." Oh, so he's one of those kind on hookups. Corine perked a brow, "I...I am so sorry for...anything ridiculous that may have happened last night. I usually don't go and drink that much." The man chuckled softly, "You said that, at least thirty times last night." Oh god. That is embarrassing. Corine's cheeks turn a blush color. "I am sorry."
He smirked, sitting up slowly, stretching his arms out. Her blue hues widen. He was rather put together...physique wise. Not overly muscular, defined features, nice eyes, the dark hair. Not typically the type most folks would see Corine with, but change is always good? Right? He raised a brow at her gawking, with a smirk painted across his face, "See something you like in particular? If you can't remember last nights events.." he trailed off, as he pulled her ontop of him, straddling the woman onto his lap. He grinned up at Corine, finger tips trailing all over her body,"...I'd be glad to give you a second round." Corine was trembling. Damn...this guy was smooth. Real smooth. She was already rather sore, suppose it was from their little...session last night. "I...I would but, I don't think I could take a refresher course this morning. But you could jog my memory on one thing...what even is your name?"
The man laughed softly, placing his hands on her waist, "Loki. My name is Loki." His name definitely...different. "Lo...ki," her English accent made it sound so eloquently, sending chills up his arms. His hands gripped her hips slightly, "Say it again...say my name." Corine purred, leaning down to brush her lips against his, "Loki." It drove him mad. He flipped them both over to where he was now on top of her. The Bering covering both of their lower halves of their bodies. His knee began to slowly slide between her thing to spread her lovely, long legs. "I could here you say my name all day...all night," he growled softly, before he started placing kisses down her jawline, then down to her neck, then down to her collarbone. His kisses sent her over the edge already, a quiet moan slipped from her lips as his trailed further down from her collar bone, to her breasts. A smirk crept upon his lips, "I must say, you are incredibly receptive to my touch. I can stop, considering you..." Her blue hues widened, "No no no...I have changed my mind. I think a refresher would do the trick." Loki chuckled, his fingers tugging at both buds, causing Corine to moan once more. "But, unfortunately I have business to attend to, this morning." Corine sighed a disappointing sigh, "Can't it wait?" Loki chuckled, as she climbed out of the bed. He quickly grabbed his leather trousers, sliding them back on. He leaned over the bed, "Not to worry...I shall come back for you." Corine, covering her body up, she smiled, "And why is that?" He raised a brow, because you now belong to me." With that, he placed a soft kiss onto her lips. He quickly dressed himself in the green tunic and leather vest he had on the night before. Corine could have swore he was in costume from some big Broadway show. She giggled softly, as she sat up on her knees in the bed, still covering herself up with the white sheets, "Off to Broadway you go I suppose?" He look dumbfounded, but he just played along, "I suppose you are right," he stated leaning in for yet another kiss. "I'll see you soon, Corine."In that moment, the mysterious man slipped out of her apartment. She looked over at the side table, noticing a silver ring. "Shit," she stated. Corine grabbed the ring, quickly flinging herself out of the bed, making her way to the already opened window. Her apartment was on the sixth floor, her view came from the entry side of the building. She waited a while...waiting for him to come out so she could toss his ring back to him. She waited...and waited...and waited. "Did he fly out of the building?" She crawled herself back into bed, he head resting against the headboard. She carefully observed the ring, it had what appeared to be another language inscribed into the metal. Corine grabbed her phone, pulling up Google. She quickly attempted to type in what she could comprehend from this ring. "GOD OF MISCHIEF." Her brow perked, the words sending chills up her arms. "He must be entirely full of himself then." Suddenly her phone rang. She groaned, "No...not today. Please just let it be another traffic ticket..." She hit the little green button, placing the phone to her ear. "Good morning Mr. Stark..."
It wasn't but many hours later, Corine had cleaned herself up, and sobered up. She was sitting at her desk given to her by Pepper Potts in Stark Industries, the newest tower in the middle of Manhattan. She was reviewing all of the paperwork Tony had left her to review that morning. A will...why on earth did Mr. Stark need a will now, she never understood. Corine had enough on her mind as is. She reached into the pocket of her white cardigan, pulling out the ring. She was once again staring at the inscription. "God of mischief..." she whispered. "What was that?" Pepper's voice made Corine jump. She quickly put the ring back into her pocket. "Oh, nothing! Sorry, I got distracted." Pepper smiled, "You know you should probably get rid of those wedding bands now. Since everything is finalized." Corine smirked, "I suppose you are right. Don't know what I'm really holding onto at this point." She wasn't entirely lying. Was this some ring that he had given himself? The nickname too? Perhaps he's married, and it's a pet name by his spouse. Suddenly, the sound of two men squabbling come from the floor above the two women. A band of security members came in, locking the doors. Pepper turned around quickly, completely flabbergasted. "Woah, what the hell going on?" Hogan quickly made his way over to the two women. "We are under attack." Both of the women's eyes widened, "Bu the same thing that attacked S.H.I.E.L.D. a few nights ago?" Hogan shrugged, "Tony's handling it. It's fine. We are fine. EVERYTHING is fine." Corine perked a brow, trying to keep as cool and composed as she could. "Well who or what is it?" Pepper asked frantically. "He goes by Loki. Some self proclaimed god. One of the newest recruits of the Avengers claim him as his brother." Corine's eyes grew wide. Dear god, did she feel sick in that exact moment. Corine quickly grabbed the trash bin, wrenching into it. Pepper quickly ran by, kneeling beside Corine, who was now pale as a ghost. "Is she...you know what I'm going to give you two a moment," Hogan stated before backing away. "Corine. Corine hey, are you okay? Tony has the situation under control. You don't need to panic." Corine shook her head. "It's not that." Pepper looked utterly confused. "What is it then?" Corine trembled, as she pulled out the ring from her pocket once more. "This belongs to the attacker. We met last night." Pepper's eyes widened. "Oh shit."
The sounds of windows shattering, made the two women jump. Their hearts practically stopped at the sight of Tony freefalling infront of the windows while suiting up. Sounds of yelling and bodies falling down stairs made Corine tremble. The doors of their office fly open, and there he was. His eyes narrowed, and a wicked grin appeared on his face, "Hello pet, told you I would come back for you." In an instant, Loki had appeared behind Corine, snatching her up in an instant. Before Corine could even scream, Loki had made them disappear with a snap of his fingers. Pepper quickly grabbed her phone, dialing Tony, "TONY. He has Corine. He just nabbed her and disappeared! I DON'T KNOW TONY, HE TOOK HER!" It was like a flash of lightning being teleported. They both had found themselves on the rooftop of a Stark Industries building. Corine screams only irritated the God. He placed his hand over her mouth to silence her. "You know, you're a lot more enjoyable when you are inebriated. Those kinds of screams were much more satisfying than these," He growled, looking up to see Tony, full suited. "Let's go reindeer games. Let the girl go, and I promise this will hurt less." Loki laughed a maniacal laugh, "You see, Mr. Stark. She's already mine. So if you take what is mine, I'll have to kill you." Tear were rolling down Corine's cheek. Before they both knew it, a ball of light came flying at them, causing Loki to let go of her. Corine slipped, she was now holding onto to ledge of a window for dear life. Loki groaned as he stood up from rubbles of damage to the rooftop. He looked all over for the girl, hearing her screams. For once he could have been sincerely worried, but before he could move, The Hulk came at him full throttle, tackling him to the ground inside. Tony quickly flew beside Corine, snatching her up in an instant. He flew them back up onto the balcony for her safety. His face shield automatically slid back "You okay?!" Before she could answer that, their eyes avert to Banner, still in his Hulk form, slinging around Loki like he was some kind of rag doll. "Puny God." Some part of Corine wanted to check on Loki, but the other...she was petrified. Hours later, after all of the mass destruction, Corine was seen by an first responder inside of an ambulance that had been called. "I told you I am fine! Just a few scratches and bruises! Can I please just go home!" The first responder sighs, "Alright, you're clear. Just call us if you need anything and we will come take a look." Corine hopped out of the gurney, running into a burly, blonde man, "You are Lady Corine, correct?" She looked confused, crossing her arms, "...I suppose?" The man nods, "My name is Thor, you had an encounter with my brother. I would like to give you my sincerest apologies. Attacks like this is not taken kindly back in Asgard. We will see that his attacks here on Midgard, and upon you are handled." She perked a brow, "Fine. See to that then." Corine brushed by Thor, making her way the side walk, hailing a taxi down. She hoped in that second, she would never have to hear of..or see Loki again. Little did she know...they were about tot be bonded...for life.
