Elise was afraid to admit it, but she liked her brother. No, not like her brother as in a better relationship with him compared to most, she means like, LIKES him. It's been driving her crazy since the day her father had found him in a snowstorm and brought him home. She's not related to him by blood and is only two years younger than him, so does that make it okay to be—what's the word? Romantic? Eh, close enough—in a romantic relationship with him, or does Erebonian law forbid any form of family romance?
"Hey, Elise." Rean said.
She froze up.
"Oh shit, It's him!"
Elise's face turned red and began sweating profusely as she locked eyes with her brother. "Y-Y-Y-Yeah?!" She squeaked.
His lilac eyes scanned her face. "Whoa, you don't look too good. Are you feeling alright?"
She nodded as fast as Princess Alfin's autoclicking abilities and said, "Yes!" smiling nervously.
He tilted his head. "Hm, alright then."
She quietly let out a sigh of relief.
Rean scratched the back of his neck. "Listen, there's been...something I've been meaning to ask you for a while now."
Elise began wildly shaking as the sweat jetted out of her pores. "W-W-W-W-W-W-W-What c-c-c-could th-th-that b-b-be?"
He smiled warmly as he towered over her. "Elise..." He licked his thumb and placed it on her cheek, gently dragging it across.
"There's a crumb on your cheek. It's been there since this morning." Rean said, showing her the brown spec and flicking it off his thumb. He turned around and said, "See you later!" as he walked away.
Elise turned black and white as she froze completely solid, then collapsed onto the ground like a ragdoll, becoming catatonic.
