"So, where are we going today?" Asked Harry as he rested his head on his hands. They were in the Great Hall for breakfast and Hermione was reading as per usual and Ron was just eating as much as he could. Harry hadn't been listening until he caught a bit of what Hermione was saying.
"Hogsmede obviously, we need to go shopping for new supplies. Ron do stop stuffing so much food into your mouth, it's putting other people off their appetite." Hermione replied before repreminding Ron.
Ron looked up from his plate and swallowed down what was in his mouth before muttering a quick sorry. Hermione rolled her eyes knowing that he would probably go back at it by lunch time.
"Oh okay. Can we go to the spring festival?" Harry asked after a moment of silence
"What spring festival?"
"Apparently there's a separate part of Hogsmede and every year they host a spring festival. I thought it would be cool if we could go."
Hermione thought about it. "I suppose it would do any harm to take a quick look. There may be something interesting." She concluded.
Soon breakfast was finished and they walked out of the hall. Hermione stopped them as they were about to leave Hogwarts and conjured up scarves for the three of them.
"Just because it's sunny doesn't mean that it's necessarily warm. I've heard a couple of people say that it's a bit cold out, so it's better to be safe than sorry."
Harry and Ron, who were not really bothered either way, shrugged their shoulders and simply followed Hermione out of the castle. They walked slowly, talking about random things and grinned at the new buds and flowers they hadn't seen last year.
After a while they finally reached Hogsmede. Hermione dragged the both of them onto Scrivenshaft to buy some new quills and parchment, then to Times and Scrolls for some new books. Next, Ron convinced them to visit Honeydukes and Zonkos for some sweets and pranks for Ginny.
After all of that, Harry eagerly led them to the Hogsmede spring festival. They weren't far off when they started hearing music. They could hear the Faraway Owls song, A Flowering sped up towards the area.
When they got there marvelled at the things they saw. There were multiple different stalls and huge bouquets of flowers in every place possible. Crawling up the houses and wrapped around the stall tables.
They paused for a moment before letting excitement take over them and running to different stalls. They ran looking at everything there was from types of jewlerry they had never seen before to funny little creatures who did silly dances.
Eventually, they stopped in front of a fortune seller's stall. Harry raised an eyebrow in question.
"Why not? It could be fun." Answered Hermione before promptly dragging them inside it.
They looked around at the weird decorations and the prominent theme of stars that ran around the place.
"Welcome."
They all jumped at the sudden voice and looked to the middle of the tent to see a rather petite woman sitting down smiling up at them.
"Come. Come sit, it's been a long time since I last had people here. People often forget about little old Celeste."
Hesitantly, the three sat down. As they did a bowl of biscuits and three cups of pumpkin juice appeared in front of them. Celeste still kept on smiling, not even reacting to the unexpected appearance of the biscuits and juice.
"Now, who wants their fortune told first?" Her blue eyes shone as glanced over them. Her expression seemed dreamy, as if she was there physically but not there mentally. The loose and floaty clothes she wore added to that image.
They looked at each other unsure. She kept her dreamy smile as she waited.
"I'll go." Spoke Hermione.
The fortune teller's eyes snapped towards Hermione. Her smile slowly grew.
"Pass me your hand."
Hermione held out her hand and Celeste gripped it. She instantly felt soothed as she felt Celeste's cool hands on top of hers. Celeste hummed as she closed her eyes and laughed lightly.
"Aren't you a clever one. Sharp as an owl yet with a heart loyal as no other. You hold things close and treasure things such as knowledge. Your life may be filled with difficulties but your will is strong enough to get you through. Don't overthink, you may find things easier at times. Your fears should not hold you back. It's better to say things as it is at times. Pain is a part of everyone's life but it will heal. You have got a bright future ahead of you dear."
"Thank you." Hermione whispered, rather awestruck.
"I thought you didn't like people like that." Ron whispered playfully.
"Maybe not all of them are bad, maybe it was just trelawney."
"Who's next?" Interrupted Celeste.
"Me." Answered Harry.
"Hand please."
Harry stretched out his hand and like Hermione he was soon soothed by the fortune teller cool hands.
"Bravery of lions and the passion of a tiger, you are truly marvellous young one. A life of hardship is all that you know. I will not hide it, it may get worse but eventually it will all pass. You will get a new chance at life, things will get better-"
"Will I defeat Voldemort?"
"That I can not tell you. Young one life will be tough for you, it has been tough in the past but learn to open up. That is what helps you most. Closing the doors on others does not do anything. Your future is a hard but bright young one."
"Thanks." Grinned Harry.
"Me now." Said Ron. He'd been listening to the good things said to his friend and was excited to hear what would be said to him. He quickly struck his hand out.
As she grabbed his hand he felt a shiver run down his back.
"A heart that's warm as a fire but with thorns and nettles that grow around it. There is a whisper in your heart. It is so quiet that it often gets lost in the wonders that surrounds your heart. You doubt and your fear your future with those you hold close. You hold the thorns and nettles close by but refuse to tell their secrets to your soul. If you let them keep on growing, your small traitorous ways shall be shown to all and you shall lose it all. This is a warning only you can decide to follow or not."
Ron's mood plummeted and he yanked his hand out of Celeste's hand.
"Ron are you okay? We could hear anything she said for some reason. What did she say?" Asked Hermione.
Ron abruptly stood up. "I'm fine. It doesn't matter what she said. She's barmy anyway. Let's go." He said.
Confused, Harry and Hermione stood up and walked out of the stall, leaving Ron and Celeste.
"You're wrong by the way. I'm not evil, I'm not going to lose anything. You're just crazy."
Celeste simply smiled again. "I can not tell you how to live you life. I can only advise you. Do as you wish Ron Weasley. I just hope you do not regret it."
