So, here we are, my first foray into Harry Potter fanfiction. For the longest time, I was a Harmony shipper, but I did really love Luna's character. Until one day I realized that Lunar Harmony was a thing. Which plays into both two of my favorite characters (Luna and Hermione) but also my fascination for poly ships. Therefore, my course was clear.

I should give some praise to a fellow writer by the name of .Wolf. Their work "Flash Point" was both heavily inspiring (in a number of ways) but was also what really made me realize how much I loved Lunar Harmony. So, if you haven't already, go read it.

Enjoy.

Hermione bolted upright, an ear-shattering scream tearing from her throat.

In a blind panic, the brunette witch scrambled for where her wand should be, not even pausing for a breath of relief when she found it where it belonged on her bedside table.

Lighting up the tip with a simple Lumos, Hermione scanned her surroundings like a wounded animal, expecting an attack from a predator at any moment, from any direction.

Nothing came.

Slowly, details of her surroundings began to catch up with Hermione, such as the familiar mattress and sheets of her bed in the Gryffindor dooms, the other occupants of the surrounding beds remained sleeping, oblivious and deaf to their dormmate's cries.

Heart still racing and breath still coming in ragged gasps, Hermione found herself once more thankful for the sound dampening runes she'd carved. It had been embarrassing enough waking up most of Gryffindor the first couple nights this happened. It wasn't just the Gryffindor's that had to deal with it, either. The Ravenclaws had been no better o…

Ravenclaws…

Luna!

The panic and terror that had just begun to recede returned in full force.

Leaping from bed, Hermione bolted for the door leading into the common room. While she didn't stop, the only thing she had enough right of mind to do was clutch the silver pendant around her neck so tightly that it might have broken if not for its durability enchantments. Something she added after the first several were broken.

Upon reaching the common room, Hermione felt the panic rising even higher. Harry wasn't here, why wasn't he here? He should be here!

Harry had about five more seconds before Hermione decided to blow the door to his dorm down, she didn't care anymore if she woke up the whole school. He could be in danger right now, someone could be attacking him! What if he'd been kidnapped from the school already while she was stupidly waiting out here?

Hermione was brandishing her wand when out stepped a hurried Harry Potter.

Harry was barely a few steps away from the door before a bushy haired missile crashed into him, throwing her arms around his neck and sending him to the floor, Hermione on top of him.

Harry didn't say a word, his arms snaking around her waist to hold her close while her own seemed determined to crush the life out of him. The embrace lasted only a few seconds before Hermione whispered a single word in his ear.

"Luna."

Hermione was up in an instant, that single word the only warning her mind was able to allow, her hand yanking Harry to his feet with surprising strength.

Hand in hand, the duo left the common room running as fast as their legs could carry them. Then again, it was more like a panicked Hermione running faster than ever, with Harry, despite his more athletic build, trying to keep up with her. Good thing he was able to, because the witch had zero intentions of releasing his hand, and neither did she have any problems with dragging across the stone floor of the castle.

Hermione had lost count how many times her and Harry had run this particular path, at this point it was second nature. Every step, every hall, every turn, it was permanently seared into her brain so well, she could have made the journey in the dark with both legs tied together.

Neither boy nor girl was worried about being out after curfew, either. Ever since they'd returned to finish their seventh year of Hogwarts properly, nobody would have dared try to stop them. Filch did only once, but that night had been similar to tonight, only difference it was Harry leading Hermione in search of their blonde.

Never before in her entire life had Hermione seen Filch so terrified then after the look Harry gave him that night. Not even Voldemort inspired such fear in the man. All of the color had drained from his face and he apologized, Filch himself actually apologized. An action Hermione would not have believed had she not been there. Ever since, he never tried to stop their nighttime rendezvous.

They were almost there and upon rounding the last corner, their goal was in sight.

There she was, Luna Lovegood herself. The blonde stood there, leaning against the railing looking at the full moon overhead, her fingers tapping out some unheard rhythm against the stone railing. To anyone who didn't know her, she looked just like her customary eerily calm and relaxed self.

Except it was the fingers that gave her away. Luna only moved her fingers like that when she was anxious or nervous. Hermione could never blame her, a few times she and Harry got here first and had to deal with mounting worry for their third.

While Hermione's night clothes were a generic shirt and shorts, Luna wore instead what looked to be a white old-fashioned nightgown. With the light of the moon, it gave the blonde girl an almost ethereal glow, like she was a fairytale brought to life.

Right now, to Hermione's current state of mind, it was one of the most beautiful sights she'd ever seen.

Unable to contain her elation, Hermione gasped upon seeing her, tears that had been welling up in her eyes starting to fall freely.

Luna turned at the sound, eyes widening in joy at the sight of the boy and girl.

Before her mind could process anything else, Hermione was sprinting to reach the blonde, Harry keeping step right beside her.

Luna met the brunette halfway, her lithe arms flying around her girlfriend. Behind Hermione, Harry's once more encircled her. Luna and Harry would have like to hold both but they could easily tell Hermione was the only in need of the attention tonight.

This same course of events had repeated far too many times for any of their comfort this year. One would awaken after horrible nightmares, then fly into a panic trying to find the other two to make sure they were alright.

The first time it had been poor Harry who woke up all of Gryffindor. Lucky Hermione was among them and was able to calm him down, but only partially. They needed Luna for that. However, with no way into the Ravenclaw common room, the two Gryffindors had been forced to sit outside the paining until morning, Harry's fear reaching new levels with Hermione doing her best to reassure him that their girlfriend was perfectly safe and just sleeping.

Yes, it was absolutely irrational, madness even. But Hermione knew better than most that fear and worry were usually not rational emotions by their very nature.

A couple nights later, it was Luna's turn to wait outside Gryffindor. Only she had no one to keep her company. A bunch of Gryffindors got the shock of their lives when the painting opened for the morning and a nearly crazed Luna charged into the room to tackle Hermione. Harry had only been spared because the brunette was spotted first. He'd been dragged to the floor when he approached wondering about the commotion.

After that, the trio figured out this was not going to end any time soon. Hermione, being the person that she was, came up with a plan for such nights. Step one was the sound dampening rune arrays around their beds, no more waking up their entire house. Step two, the pendants each wore. All one had to do was hold it tightly, and its matching two would begin to vibrate heavily. A simple enchantment, but one that let them know when one of the three was in need of help. Step three was their current location. Hermione had taken a map of Hogwarts and did the math correctly to deduce this exact spot was the best halfway point between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw.

When their necklaces begin to vibrate, the other two knew to come here to meet. At least during the night, they had another location for during the day, but that wasn't used as often.

A simple plan, with equally simple tools, but one they'd availed themselves of more times than could be counted. Hermione wasn't about to deny these meetings were one of the only things keeping her sanity intact. Harry and Luna didn't have to speak for her to know they felt the same.

The plan had a step four, but they didn't need that every night. Although, looking at how this night was going, it was looking more and more certain.

With no clocks in sight, Hermione had no idea how long the three stood there on the moonlit balcony, crushed between two of the most important people in her life. Minutes? Hours? She'd lost all track of time, in addition to her caring about said time.

"The room?" Luna whispered so quietly it might have not been a sound at all.

Hermione bit her lip and hesitated before nodding. While she didn't like appearing weak or emotional, with Harry and Luna, she had no reservations about doing so. Merlin knows she'd seen the two of them at their most vulnerable many times.

"The room it is." Harry shifted his hold so that Hermione was pressed tightly against his side, one arm around her while his other held her hand. Luna took up an identical position on Hermione's opposite side, holding her just as close.

Moving toward their next destination was much slower, haste was no longer necessary. Now that all three were together, Hermione had finally started to calm. She was still more than a little shaken up, though. There was no way in hell she was getting any sleep tonight without her boyfriend and girlfriend present.

Looks like tonight would definitely need step four.

Step four, The Room of Requirement.

Not wanting to let go of their upset girlfriend even for a moment, Harry and Luna used their feet to push the door to the room open. Inside the room was mostly empty, save for the large bed perfectly sized for three, flanked by two small bedside tables each with a scented candle.

Hermione knew the room was magical in ways that boggled even her mind, but she was still surprised the room always knew exactly what scent was needed for a calming effect when they entered like this.

Making their way over to the bed, the trip climbed onto the impossibly comfy mattress, Harry and Luna making sure to have at least one hand touching Hermione at all times. Once they were situated beneath the covers, with Hermione in the middle, Harry and Luna leaned over to blow out the candles on their respective sides, bathing the room in near total darkness.

At first, no words were spoken. Harry and Luna snuggled into Hermione's sides, heads on her shoulders, a hand clasped in both of theirs, and one leg draped over her own. The boy and girl trying their hardest to wrap her in as much tender care as they could.

It showed how successful they were that even at a time like now, Hermione could feel her lips raising in a fond smile while her heart swelled with love.

Which made Hermione's heart sink a little when she came to a realization.

"I…" Hermione whispered, the sound unusually loud in the empty and silent room. "I don't want to go back to sleep."

"We don't have to." Harry replied, planting a soft kiss on her cheek and temple.

"We can stay up all night like this." Luna's own lips found Hermione's chin and forehead. "I certainly wouldn't mind."

"Me neither." Harry brought Hermione's hand up to press into his cheek. "This is better than any dream."

"Way better." Luna added, burying her nose in Hermione's bushy locks and not hiding the slightest bit how she was enjoying the older girl's scent.

Hermione didn't say anything, but a content and happy sigh did pass her lips. This was certainly better than any dream, in fact the few good dreams she sometimes had didn't hold a candle to times like this. But still… these two needed their sleep, too. It wasn't fair to them.

"How many times have you done the same for us?" Harry spoke, seemingly reading his girlfriend's mind.

"Many times." Luna sing-songed from across the brunette.

"Hey, Luna. I've got an idea." Harry lifted his head from Hermione's shoulder, not before giving her another cheek kiss. "Remember the other night when you couldn't sleep? What did we do?"

"Oh, yes." Luna almost purred, a sound that certainly did things to Hermione's insides. "I remember quite well. Shall I start?"

"Be my guest." Hermione could hear the mischievousness in the boy's voice.

"What's…" Hermione was silenced when a familiar pair of feminine lips found hers in the dark. While her mouth was distracted, she felt a different pair touch her neck. Before she could figure out what was happening, her lips were abandoned but she felt another kiss against her eyebrow.

Next thing she knew, she was under attack by a veritable tsunami of kisses all over her head and neck. For a brief moment she wondered if her shoulders were being spared simply because her shirt covered any skin there. Everywhere else, however, no mercy was shown. If there was even an inch of skin, someone's lips found it.

"Hey! No fa… eek!" Hermione shrieked when a hand, whose she had no idea, found its way to the exposed skin between her shirt and waistband. The attacking hands knew all her spots from many long hours of cuddling, so she had no defense.

On reflex, Hermione tried to raise her hands in a vain attempt to defend herself but remembered too late they were being held prisoner by Harry and Luna's. With her only defenses compromised, Hermione was left at the mercy of her boyfriend and girlfriend.

A hand danced across Hermione's belly while another antagonized her hips, at the same time the shower of affectionate kisses never slowed even for a second. Despite her attempts otherwise, Hermione found herself howling with laughter and squirming everywhere in an attempt to escape. But with Harry and Luna practically laying on top of her, escape wasn't a possibility.

"Luna!" Hermione squealed when she felt someone's teeth nip at her neck. She briefly wondered if her guess had been wrong, right up until she heard the blonde's giggle in the darkness.

Harry and Luna seemed determined to drown Hermione in an ocean of affection and warmth, a goal they were very much capable of achieving. Of all ways to go, it would certainly be a pleasant one.

Just when Hermione thought she was about to suffocate from lack of air, her lovers relented enough for her to catch her breath.

"That… that was… not fair." Hermione sucked in heavy breaths of life sustaining oxygen, her face and throat actually hurting, from smiling and laughing respectively, so hard. "Ganging… up on me."

"You did it to me." Luna giggled as she nuzzled Hermione's shoulder. The blonde's hand again reaching across Hermione's exposed midriff. Instead of tickling, she laced her fingers together with Harry's, their palms laying directly over Hermione's belly. "Fair is fair."

Hermione had no answer for that, so she just gave her a mock scowl before remembering they were in the dark and couldn't actually see each other. She settled instead for planting a kiss to the crown of her head. An action Luna hummed in approval of.

Hermione did have to admit, she was feeling much better. All thoughts and memories of the awful nightmare had already faded away, having been banished by tenderness and love.

Still, Hermione had no intentions of returning to her dorm, tonight. A sentiment the pair beside her shared without speaking when they snuggled in even closer, their legs fully tangling with Hermione's own. Nobody was leaving even if someone had a sudden bout of insanity and wanted to.

"Think you can sleep, now?" Harry asked, fingertips tracing random patterns into her skin.

"Mmmhmm." Hermione answered. "But only if I get to see you two in my dreams."

"Nowhere else I'd rather be." Harry gave Hermione one last gentle kiss on the lips, then sat up a little to lean over Hermione.

"Nowhere else." Luna affirmed, kissing Hermione before shifting to meet Harry in the middle and give him a goodnight kiss on the lips, too.

While she couldn't see them with her eyes, she could hear her lover's kissing. Hermione felt her heart swell with affection again as it always did when they did anything together. The only thing that she'd change would be her ability to see them!

Alas, it was not to be tonight, but Hermione wasn't about to complain when she felt a familiar pair of head sized weights settle over her chest. Giving both one last kiss atop the head, Hermione's eyes started to drift closed.

"See you both, soon." Hermione mumbled as sleep finally took hold.

Now, originally, I actually had a whole nightmare scene planned out for the start of this, but I personally prescribe to the idea that 'nothing is scarier'. Ergo, its up to the reader to determine what it was that horrified Hermione so badly.

Honestly, I've been hesitant for years to write Harry Potter works because I always felt that since they've been out for so long that there would be few to no readers to be found.

Prove me wrong, everyone. I certainly have a few other works in mind, but suggestions are also very much welcome.
