Tea at Primrose's house

Fifi Forgetmenot lives in forgetmenot cottage. She loves playing with her friends Bumble, Violet and Primrose.

Today she is going to Flowertot market to buy some fruit and vegetables.

Fruit and vegetables are very healthy. She eats some every day. Do you? Good.

On her way she met her friend Bumble. Bumble is a bee.

"Hello Fifi" he said. "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to Flowertot market to buy some fruit and vegetables" she said. "Do you want to come?"

"Ok, Fifi" said Bumble.

So they went to Flowertot market and bought some fruit and vegetables. On their way home from the market they met Violet and Primrose.

"Hello Violet, hello Primrose" said Fifi.

"Hello Fifi" they said.

"Remember you're having tea with us, today, Fifi?" said Primrose.

"Yes Primrose" said Fifi. "Come on Bumble, let's get these fruits and vegetables home!"

"Coming, Fifi!" he said as they went back to Fifi's house.

Over at Violet's and Primrose's house, they were getting ready to have tea with Fifi. They had to make the sandwiches and the tea, bake a cake and go to Poppy's market for some biscuits.

"Right, Violet" said Primrose. "I'll go to Poppy's market for the biscuits, while you start baking the cake."

"Ok, Primrose" said Violet, who was quite shy. So Primrose went to flowertot market and Violet baked the cake. At the market, however, Primrose met Stingo.

"Hello Primrose" he said slyly. "What are you doing?"

"Hello Stingo" she replied. "I'm buying some biscuits."

"Ooh! Can I have some?" he said.

"Certainly not, Stingo" she said. "They're for later when I'm having tea with Fifi."

"Doah!" said Stingo. But he had an idea. He was going to sneak in to Primrose's house like he does with Fifi and eat the food. He is a naughty wasp. He went back off to his house and called "Slugsy!"

"Yes, Boss" said Slugsy, who was waiting for him.

"We're going to go in to Primrose's house and take her biscuits!" said Stingo.

"Oh no! We can't do that Boss!" said Slugsy.

"Why not?"

"Because- because we shouldn't take things that don't belong to us."
"Pah!" said Stingo, and flew off.

Back at Fifi's house, she had prepared her fruit and vegetables, and eaten some with Bumble.

"Right," said Fifi. "I've got a spot of gardening to do, and then I could make a pie to take to Primrose's house."

"Ok, Fifi" said Bumble. "Do you want me to help?"

"Yes. Thankyou Bumble."

"And I could give you a jar of my honey to take with you."

"Good idea! That's very kind of you, Bumble."

So Bumble went to get his honey. On his way, he met Slugsy.

"Is anything wrong, Slugsy?" he asked.

"Stingo wants to go into Primrose's house and take her food" said Slugsy.

"Really?" said Bumble. "I'd better tell Fifi!"

So Bumble went straight back to Fifi forgetting to get the honey.

"Have you got the honey, Bumble?" asked Fifi.

"No, but Slugsy said that Stingo's going to take Primrose's food!"

"Oh no! I'd better warn her!"

So Fifi and Bumble went off to Primrose's house. They knocked on the door. Violet answered it.

"Hello Fifi" she said. "It's not tea time yet."

"I know" said Fifi. "But I came to warn Primrose that Stingo's going to eat her food!"

Violet gasped.

Stingo hadn't dared go into the house yet, because he knew Violet was in there. Violet had gone straight to Poppy's market with Fifi and Bumble to find Primrose, so Stingo saw his chance. He sneaked in and found the cake that Violet had just made and flew away with it. But before he could celebrate for long, Primrose, Fifi, Bumble, Violet and Slugsy were all there.

"Stingo!" yelled Primrose. "Where's Violet's cake?!"

"Er- Slugsy ate it" lied Stingo.

"No I didn't!"

"It's no good, Stingo" said Fifi. "We know it was you. And you're going to make Primrose another one."

"But-"

"Do it!" said Primrose.

So Stingo reluctantly flew away. Stingo is now making the cake. Fifi, Primrose, Violet and Bumble are sitting outside having their tea, biscuits and sandwiches.

"Are you nearly finished making the cake, Stingo?" asked Fifi.

"Pah!" said Stingo, and flicked some of the icing in the mixing bowl in his face by mistake. All the flowertots laughed. I think it's time to say goodbye.

Wait a minute. It looks like Fifi's got something she wants to say.

"Don't forget to come back soon! Bye!"
