A/N: Hey guys! It's the first story that I have ever written in my whole life so please bear with me. Also, English is not my native language so please make this also easy for me. I started to write this because I was left hanging in the final episode of TBBT. All credits to the original creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady.
Okay maybe before I go on, this story came from my imagination and how I would like the story have ended and started in this case cuz' this is season 13. I hope you will like it ! _
As the Nobel ceremony was about to end, all Nobel laureates, including Sheldon and Amy, were led to another room where the press conference is about to happen. All winners excitedly sit down in their respective sits which had a label of their names and Nobel Prize Winner 2019 print below it.
"Oooh…isn't this fancy, we look like panelists from the Comic-Con you go to every year." Amy said as the couple began to sit down.
"I know!" Sheldon exclaimed excitedly.
When all people in the room were completely settled down, Amy looked around the room to find the sight of their friends. They were seated in the very back of the left side of the aisle happily and excitedly watching their friends answer questions about winning a Nobel Prize.
Amy whisperedly told Sheldon where their friends were seated and also smiled upon seeing the sight of them. Penny in return then gave a huge smile and thumbs up at Sheldon and Amy, like what Leonard does when she comes out of the shower.
As the press conference was starting, Sheldon and Amy both started to feel excited but nervous at the same time.
"Amy, I'm nervous..I can't answer their questions with a bunch of eyes staring at me." Sheldon whispered to Amy.
"It's alright, Sheldon. You take a sip of that wine." Amy ignoredly answered Sheldon as she was listening to the Nobel laureates answering questions thrown at them.
"Amy!" exclaimed Sheldon in a soft low voice, "You know I don't drink alcohol and I can't drink alcohol when I'm going to talk to the public, I may remove my trousers again with the whole world watching."'
"Alright..I know you're nervous, but I'm definitely nervous too." Amy began to reassure him.
"You are?"
"Of course..okay, imagine they are all subatomic particles and focus only on the questions thrown to you by the interviewer" Amy proposed as Sheldon begin to think a counter proposal. He couldn't think of any.
Sheldon whined, "Fine."
They began to face in front and Amy listened to the interviewer while he was starting to imagine them as subatomic particles. He was surprised that Amy's idea worked and imagined that the interviewer was in the form of muon with eyes and mouth like the Annoying Orange.
Just in time for the interviewer to finish questioning the other winners, he then began to call the name of the couple and the crowd started to give them laud applauses and whistles.
"Dr. Cooper…first of all you had a very great speech out there honoring your friends and your wife.." applauded the interviewer
"Thank you." Sheldon thanked the interviewer as the crowd began to applaude them again
"Dr. Cooper, how does it feel winning the work you created with your wife during your wedding?" The interviewer started to ask.
Amy turned to Sheldon as the interviewer finished asking the questions only to find him all nervous again. She quickly held his hand under the table slowly gripping them tightly in order to assure Sheldon that everything was going to be fine. Sheldon looked at her and smiled beginning to realize that he found comfort in Amy.
Sheldon answered the question confidently while holding Amy's hand under the table.
"Honestly, I've always dreamt of winning a Nobel Prize someday. I never thought that I could win it because of her. She's the only reason why I deserved one." Sheldon let out a sweet answer while turning to his wife slowly letting out their linked hands under the table and placing it on the table.
The crowd started to let out a huge gasp and applauded Sheldon and Amy again. Sheldon and Amy look at each other with love in their eyes as the interviewer commented, "Awwww…"
The couple diverted their eyes back to the interviewer as he questioned again, this time it was Amy's turn.
"Dr. Fowler, how do you feel about being the fourth woman winning the Nobel Prize in Physics." he questioned Amy.
"Frankly, I feel honored to be the fourth woman to win the Nobel prize in physics. I am honored to win my first award in Science with my husband in which we came up at our wedding. Even though we encountered a lot of trials like the one we had with Doctors Pemberton and Campbell and the citation complication, we still managed through to get to where we are today with the help of our family and friends." Amy answered the question with a lot of confidence and received a proud look from Sheldon.
A little later in the lobby...
Leonard, Penny, Howard, Bernadette, and Raj stand in beside the doorway of the entrance of the hotel waiting for Sheldon and Amy who were bidding their goodbyes to the Nobel laureates.
Sheldon and Amy walked towards them all excited to meet their friends once again and show them their medals. It was their third time seeing them since they went on stage but first time talking face-to-face to them since their argument.
"Hey guys!" Leonard greeted with a proud face for the couple.
"Hello." Sheldon replied.
"Hey!" Amy replied.
"That was great you said out there you guys!" Penny exclaimed
"Thank you!" Sheldon and Amy said in unison.
Amy looked at Sheldon indicating to tell the group his proper apologies about what happened yesterday.
"FIne." Sheldon agreed, "Okay, guys about yesterday—"
Howard cut him off with a pat in his back, "Look we know you don't necessarily know what you do and say so we deeply understand."
"And it was sweet of you to give us special mention out there in front of the whole world." Raj added
"Awwww… we love you guys!" Amy exclaimed indicating a need of group hug.
As the group was ready for a group hug, Sheldon was a bit hesitant. Amy gave a glaring look at him and directly complied.
As the group was hugging, Sheldon shockingly spoke and said, "I love you guys!"
The group was half shocked and flattered since that was the first time Sheldon said that very word to all of them. Each of their eyes grew big, including Amy, because she knew that Sheldon only said I love you to her, his mother, and meemaw.
Sheldon broke the hug and went directly to his and Amy's room running. The group was shocked and silent for a minute, then Bernadette let out a word with her small squeaky voice, "Did Sheldon just say I love you to us?"
"He really did." Penny replied in a shaking voice out of astonishment.
Everyone returned to their respective rooms and prepared for dinner. Once everyone was done preparing, they agreed to meet at the corridor….
"So..where are we heading?" Amy asked the group.
"Amy..do you still have to ask that question? It's Pizza Night, we're going to a pizza shop and buy pizza." Sheldon complained to Amy's ridiculous question.
"Do they have pizza shops in Stockholm?" Raj asked and received a your-question-is-stupid look from the group.
"Do you think we're in North Korea?! Of course there are pizza shops here in Stockholm!" Howard interjectedly answered Raj's stupid question.
"Guys, I was thinking maybe we could go to a mall and eat in a fancy restaurant so that we could buy some souvenirs easily." Penny proposed in which the group thought was a great idea.
"Oh that's a great—"
"Great idea? Are you guys crazy? On a pizza night? Fancy restaurant?" Sheldon cut them off indicating that he is upset of Penny's proposal.
"Why what's the problem?" Penny asked which had the don't-say-it reply from the guys
"No, no, no—" the guys said in unison.
"What's the problem?" Sheldon questioned Penny.
"Here we go…" Leonard replied as the guys groaned altogether.
"Penny.." Sheldon started mansplaining her "..changing pizza night into a "fancy restaurant's food" night can ruin consistency, and if we are going to abandon that then why call it Thursday when we can call it "Entrepeneurs'- way-of-ruining-Sheldon's-day" night."
Sheldon knew his statement was grammatically wrong but did not care anymore since he started running back to their room.
"Again… you're husband's weird.." Howard let out a statement towards Amy.
Amy did not care anymore of Howard's offensive statement but instead apologized to the group.
"I'm sorry guys. Maybe you can wait here and I'll go try to talk and convince him."
Sheldon heard a slight knock on the door and heard Amy's voice.
"Sheldon? It's me. Can I come in?" Amy knocked on the door asking Sheldon to open the door.
Sheldon opened the door and went back to lying in the bed.
"Sheldon, they just wanted eat in a fancy restaurant. You don't need to react like that."
"I know, I'm sorry, I was just really tired." Sheldon apologized.
"Oh.." Amy let go a shock expression. She didn't know her husband was just so tired and didn't bother to make him relax and rest for a little bit. "…so do you want to rest or relax for a moment? I'll just tell the gang we can pass today and eat out tomorrow."
"Yes. It would mean a lot." Sheldon thanked her.
Amy called the gang and told them they should go to dinner and buy souvenirs. She told them that he reacted that way because he was just so overwhelmed. The gang understood and will see them tomorrow morning.
"I called them." Amy said
"What did they say?" Sheldon asked
"Well, they understood the situation and told us that we should go rest for tonight and we'll see them tomorrow." Amy explained while taking a seat on the bed beside Sheldon
"Alright, but are you sure you don't want to go with them?" He asked her worried that she was just obliged to be with him because he was her husband.
"Of course, it's not only you who's tired. Plus, you're my husband, and I know you don't want being alone in this hotel room." Amy smirked because she knew her husband very well.
"Well, although I don't agree with your statement, but I am grateful that you chose to stay with me Amy."
"Of course I love you." Amy said
"Well, I love you too." Sheldon replied
"It's still 5:00, so what do you say we—" Amy proposed an idea but suddenly Sheldon cut her off.
"Amy, I am not going to engage in coitus with you right now." He knew Amy so well that he knew what she would say every time when she begins with those words.
"I was not going to say that!" Amy was mad and shocked at the same time because her husband knew her so well. "I meant since it's still early, why don't we order room service for dinner before going to bed. We can start our long rest at exactly 6:00."
"Well, first of all, I apologize. Second, dinner before bed is a great idea." Sheldon replied
The couple ordered and waited for room service to arrive. Sheldon decided to do some pending work after taking a shower while waiting for the room service so that he won't fall asleep. While doing his work on his side of the hotel bed, Amy just came out of the shower and changed on her sleeping attire. She then joined Sheldon positioning on her side of the bed. They were both silent because Sheldon did his work, while she did not want to disturb him.
Amy then broke the awkward silence by starting a conversation.
"Sheldon, what are you working on?" Amy asked.
"I am continuing my work on string theory." Sheldon answered
"I thought you said that focus is too impossible and may cost millions of dollars to experiment on it?" Amy remembered
"I did, but there's no harm in trying."
The bedroom grew silent again and made Amy feel uncomfortable. Sheldon noticed her a little later because he was unaware of the silence. Maybe his Vulcan hearing was deactivated.
"Amy, what's wrong?" Sheldon asked with concern.
"Oh no, nothing.. I was just wondering—" Amy thought it would be a bad idea to tell Sheldon, "Scrap that. Never mind."
Sheldon turned off his tablet and turned to Amy.
"Amyy..?" Sheldon looked at her with his beautiful blue eyes and his eyebrows meeting his forehead.
"Alright. I've been wanting to tell you this but since now is the right time…I've been wanting to tell you that—" Amy stopped as they both heard the doorbell ring.
Sheldon opened the door and it was the room service. They both decided to eat right away since it's almost 6:00 and Sheldon does not want to be late especially when it comes to bedtime.
They both ate dinner and talked about a different topic since Sheldon did not ask again about it and Amy doesn't want to see Sheldon's reaction just yet. It was surprising that Sheldon was not curious what would Amy say and he forgot to tell her to continue what she was thinking about. Unfortunately, it was exactly 6:00 and the couple finally fell asleep snuggling.
Okay, I know y'all have guesses so just keep it in for now. I know the bedroom part was little short but I was wondering if ya'll are okay with a long chapter. I still have a plan in making the story go around. This is still part A because I plan to make it like an episode so that it would make more sense.
PS: My planned fanfic focuses on the entire cast although I ship ShAmy so hard that I wanted them to end the season with a baby. I'll try my best to post often but I usually do on Thursdays or Fridays it depends.._
