A/N: I literally haven't written a fanfic in thirteen years. However, I never stopped reading. No networks up here in Canada were showing original Law & Order for years, and I pined. I really did. Then Yes TV started showing the later seasons, and I was in love all over again.
This is a drabble, so 100 words exactly.
Beginnings
This is going to be trouble, Mike Cutter thought. So much trouble.
Most Assistant District Attorneys were hired straight out of law school, practically children. Mike had been one of those, but he grew into the role, matured, became a better version of himself as he worked his way up within the ranks of ADAs.
But this new hire had clerked, had experience, was mature, whip-smart, savvy.
And she was beautiful. Easily the most beautiful woman Mike had laid eyes on.
He knew he'd best do what he could to stay far away. He didn't need those kinds of entanglements.
