Unlucky for who

I'm sorry if there are a lot of mistakes as I have partial Dyslexia I am using a dictionary/google and Word to help with some of it.
The main entrance to the Detroit Police Department was noisy with the countless public trying to get through. Katies black high heel boots thunked across the light blue vinyl floor till she came to the front desk, the android behind the desk had never been given a name so Katie had designated her name to be Jessica "hello Jessica how is it going this morning?" Katie casually asked, Jessicas blonde ponytail swished as she put Katie's gate pass up on the counter "it is very busy this morning Lieutenant, Richard Perkins said to tell you another body was found behind a dumpster at Samuels burger joint he will send you a copy of the report" Jessica replied. Katie grabbed her gate pass and proceeded into the precinct Katie had been working for the Detroit department since she had been promoted to lieutenant three months ago her other precinct had too many lieutenants and they had all been asked if anyone wanted to transfer elsewhere, Katie had opted to go to Detroit so she would be closer to her best friend and now co-worker Detective Sarah Marshall.
Katie was about to sit down at her desk to read over the file she had just picked up from the printer when the Captain Jeffrey Fowler called out for her to join him in his office at the front of their control room, She entered the glass office shutting the door behind her and sitting down opposite the Captain "how are the current homicide cases progressing?" Jeffrey asked Katie crossed her blue jeans and straightened her shoulders "not very fast as Hank Anderson doesn't seem to come in before lunchtime and when he does come in he smells of alcohol" Jeffrey sighed "he's had a lot of things happen in the last six months first his wife left him then he had a car accident and lost his little boy Cole, cut him a bit of slack I know you will be a good lieutenant and I'm sure Hank will help you to learn the ropes" Katie smiled and left the office to get back to work but accidently walked into a man trying to enter the Captains office, the man had brown hair brushed back except for a strand that hung over his left eye, very velvet brown eyes, he wore a very sharp grey suit which he straighten up his black tie "I'm sorry I didn't see you" Katie stammered out an apology to the man who smiled "there is no problem Miss" he then shifted out of the way so katie could continue on.
