Okay so this is the rewrite of A Twist In Time...
After rereading the last version I wanted to slap myself, what the hell was I thinking?
So I deleted to start over on it...
It's a different storyline/plot...
Also real quick before we start the story, I would like to say I do not mind reviews that have constructive criticism in them, really I don't what I do mind is complete and total bashing of a person and their preferences of what they choose to write about and how they write it...
It's simple if you do not like a certain ship then don't read it...
You don't read it or act like you read it and then put a person down for what they choose to write about and what characters they put in relationships with other characters...
Personally I love LaLu/LaxLu just because I do there is no real reason behind it...
Personally I do not like Gray and Lucy pairings or Lucy and Gajeel pairings and so on...
I like Nalu don't get me wrong but I prefer LaLu I'm sorry if you don't like that pairing then don't read it!
Don't be complete Assholes and bullies towards a person!

And without further a due on to the story!
Deep in the forest stood an abandoned building covered in vines. Some of the stones were missing indicating the building had been abandoned for many years. But there in the middle of the building stood a blonde woman standing in front a 2 blonde toddlers that clung to her legs crying. Lucy was in a defensive stance looking at what looked like a dark shadow with one red eye. Lucy and the children were protected by a barrier of water that seemed to be holding up for the time being. The shadow kept attacking the barrier trying to get the 3 people inside.
Lucy turned quickly picking up both children and jumped to the side as the shadow was finally able to break through it. Lucy took off running with the shadow hot on her heels. Lucyn was determined to keep the children safe. She knew of only one way to do that currently, which she didn't like that fact.
'I Don't have a choice! He'll kill me later I know it... But this is the only option...' Lucy thought to herself. She kept running till she ran right into a clearing. She skidded to a stop in the middle. She looked all around herself seeing the shadows from the trees slowly growing closer to her. "Damn it..." The woman muttered. "Loke! Virgo! I Need you now!" Lucy yelled.
2 Flashes of light appeared next to Lucy leaving behind a pink haired maid and a ginger haired man in a black suit with a white shirt and red tie with blue tinted glasses.
"Princess..." The maid said looking at the surrounding area. "I don't see an enemy... What is it would you like assistance with?" The maid asked in a monotone voice.
"The shadows! I need you to take these 2 and get them out of here!" Lucy said frantically.
"The shadows?" The ginger haired male asked looking at the shadows that surrounded them. The shadows were moving slowly closer to them. "Never mind I see what you mean..." He said with a sigh taking the one child from the woman as the maid took the other.
"Please! Get them away from here!" Lucy shouted.
"Virgo..." The ginger haired male said after a moment of thought. "Take them I'll help our princess..." He added handing the child over to the maid.
Virgo nodded taking the crying child while stepping back. Before she could get too far away the shadow shot up quickly closing the distance fast. Virgo covered the children's heads but as they were consumed Virgo and the children disappeared.
Somewhere In The Middle Of The Forest
Virgo and the 2 children appeared in the middle of the forest. As they landed Virgo looked around and noticed something strange she wasn't where she was originally and the woman and the ginger haired man and the shadows were gone. She held the children close as she walked cautiously through the forest. As she was slowly walking through the forest she heard twigs snap indicating someone was coming. She ducked behind a tree trying to keep the children quiet.
"Who's there!? I know you're there come out now!" A loud booming voice sounded. There stood a large muscular male with blonde spiky hair and a scar in the shape of a lightning bolt over his right eye.
Virgo came out instantly as she recognized the voice. "My Lord..." Virgo said in a slight bow.
"Huh?" The blonde male said with a raised eyebrow.
Virgo looked up and studied the man. He looked younger then he did the last time she seen him. Younger and a bit scarier.
Before she could say anything 2 small but loud voices sounded from her arms. "PAPA!" They yelled trying to get out of Virgo's arms.
The blonde male looked at the 2 children that managed to escape the arms of the woman in the maid uniform as they ran to him yelling 'PAPA'. He blinked several times as they latched themselves onto his legs. The blonde male looked from the children to the maid with a dumbfounded expression.
Virgo narrowed her eyes at him. "Are you Lord Laxus?" Virgo asked.
The blonde male blinked in confusion at the name. "Well... That's the first time I've ever been called Lord... But yes I'm Laxus Dreyar..." The blonde man said in a voice that would normally scare others but the children nor did the maid flinch. "Who are you? You smell familiar... And these 2..." Laxus said as he sniffed the air around the children. "They smell like me..." Laxus stated it more as a question.
"Where is my princess?" Virgo asked looking behind him but seeing nothing. "And where did the shadows go? As well as big brother?" Virgo asked looking around defensively.
Laxus was eyeing the maid, she seemed suspicious but the smell of her and the children were familiar. Laxus sighed as he bent down the children's level but once he was in reach of them he found himself on his back with 2 sets of small arms around his neck. Again he blinked being surprised that they actually were able to knock him over in the first place.
"PAPA! PAPA!" The children yelled as they cried into his shoulders.
Laxus was beyond confused at this point. One minute he was on his way home after waking up in some random woman's bed. The woman was still asleep so he slipped out before she could catch him and beg him for more. He still needed a shower since he himself couldn't stand the smell of the female's scent that was on him.
"Seth. Zoey. Come here..." Virgo said in an unnatural hard voice. She sensed something wrong.
The children lifted their heads and looked at the maid with tears in their eyes. "But andie Virno..." The girl (Zoey) said.
Laxus narrowed his eyes at the maid for some reason he felt like growling at her. "Tell me what's going on..." Laxus growled sitting up with an arm wrapped around each child. He didn't understand why he was being defensive and protective of the 2 toddlers but he wasn't going to argue his instincts.
"I need to see my princess now..." Virgo said taking a step forward.
"Mama..." The boy (Seth) whimpered as he buried his face in Laxus' neck.
"Who are you?" Laxus growled tightening his hold on the toddlers.
"I'm Virgo... If you were Lord Laxus you would know that..." Virgo stated.
"Virgo..." Laxus whispered in confused tone. He knew he heard that name before. 'Virgo... That's a Zodiac sign... Blondie? Doesn't she own that one?' Laxus thought internally. "You belong to Blondie?" Laxus asked out loud.
Virgo tilted her head slightly as she nodded slowly. She remembered that's what he would call her key-holder from time to time, normally when he was teasing her.
Laxus sighed. "My house isn't far from here... I need a shower and from the way these 2 smell so do they..." Laxus cringed at the smell.
"Papa swells woo fowery..." Seth said as he scrunched up his nose. Zoey sniffed Laxus' neck and cringed as she nodded. "Woo dun't swell ike mama amyores..." Seth stated.
Laxus was way too confused and had a pounding headache from the scent as it was. Laxus stood up picking up the children with him and started walking deeper into the forest. Virgo followed behind him eyeing the man. She needed to make sure the children were safe.
Once they came upon a cabin he went inside which was bigger on the inside then it looked on the outside. "Freed!" Laxus yelled as he slammed open the front door. "Freed! I need you down here right now!" As he walked further into his home toward the kitchen he used his magic to turn on the lights. "Freed!" Laxus yelled impatiently.
"I'm coming!" Freed, a male with long green hair yelled as he ran down the stairs. "Laxus what is…" The question fell from his lips when he saw Laxus standing in the middle of the kitchen holding 2 toddlers and a Maid standing next to him. His expression betrayed nothing, but it was his eyes that told a different story. He could see the desperation in them.
"What the hell is going on in here!?" A brown haired woman yelled as she rushed down the stairs with a tall male wearing a visor hot on her heels, but both came to a halt when they saw Laxus.
"I need your help..." Laxus pleaded as his hold on the toddlers tightened when they whimpered again.
"Clearly..." Freed said a bit amused as he and the woman were the first to break out of their stupor. They both reached for the toddlers at the same time, but once the little ones were taken from Laxus they began to cry again.
"Papa!" Zoey cried out desperately and struggled in the woman's arms. Small hands tried to reach for Laxus. "Papa!" Zoey continued to cry.
"No! No!" Seth screeched in Freed's arms and kicked out his feet while small hands clawed at the air trying to get back to Laxus. "Mes wand Papa!" Seth cried.
"Papa!" The children cried.
"Laxus..." The male with the visor stepped up beside him. "Who are they?" The male asked.
"I don't know..." Laxus said clearly agitated as he curled his hands into fists. He looked over at the maid. "I just found these 2 with her..." Laxus said pointing a thumb towards Virgo.
"They called you papa..." The male with the visor said in a disbelieving tone. "You have kids?" The man with the visor asked.
"They can't be... You know that I…" He made sure that there wasn't a chance for him to leave one of his past flings pregnant. He took the precautions necessary and made sure that the women he took to bed did as well.
"Did you see anyone else there?" Freed asked with a raised eyebrow. "And Virgo what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with Miss. Lucy?" Freed asked as he narrowed his eyes at Virgo.
"My princess was running and had called me and big brother out to take the twins and run... Shadows... The Shadows is all my princess said before they attacked... I covered the twins heads and when I opened my eyes again everyone was gone... Then Lord Laxus found us..." Virgo said in a monotone voice. "What I sensed before we came here was the same thing I sensed when my princess called me and big brother..." Virgo said.
"Shadows?" Freed said in confusion. "Last I saw Miss. Lucy was at the guild helping Mira clean up after Levy's Birthday party..." Freed wondered out loud. "What was it you sensed?" Freed asked in curiosity.
"Death..." Virgo answered simply.
All 4 mages looked at her with wide eyes. Virgo tilted her head slightly and then looked around. She recognized the house but it wasn't the house they had lived in for some time. Virgo looked over the group they all looked younger as well. At least 5 or 6 years younger. Virgo's eyes widened as she was thinking about everything.
"Andie Eva! Wet go!" Zoey growled as she kicked her feet and pushed on the woman's arms.
"Un Fweed! Me want Papa!" Seth cried also kicking his feet.
"Andie Virno! Tell Andie Eva to wet mes go!" Zoey growled baring her tiny fangs.
'Fangs? Only...' Laxus thought internally before he turned to Virgo and glared at her. "What's going on?" Laxus growled. "They growl and they have fangs! Only dragon slayers have them..." Laxus stated.
"Boy these 2 are squirmy..." Evergreen muttered as she adjusted her hold on Zoey.
Virgo sighed and walked over to the wiggly children. "I think we need to go to my princess..." Virgo said but gasped. She looked down at her feet and saw that they were slowly fading. "I'm afraid I don't have much time left..." Virgo said in a monotone voice turning towards Laxus. "If I'm correct in my theory I'm going back to my time..." Virgo said as the rest of her began fading.
"Your time?" Laxus asked.
Virgo nodded, "You all are 5 or 6 years younger then I remember... And last I knew you were on a mission across the country according to my princess... But it seems something has brought us here..." Virgo said and looked back to the children. "Watch over these 2... Protect them from the shadows..." Virgo said before fully disappearing.
"What was that all about?" The male with the visor asked breaking the silence and snapping everyone out of their stupor.
"The hell if I know..." Laxus said with a sigh finally taking the wiggling toddlers from his friends. They climbed up and wrapped their small arms around his neck and hung on for dear life. Laxus sighed as he rubbed his thumbs in circles in the middle of their backs.
"From what Virgo said I'm guessing we have a time issue..." Freed thought out loud.
"Time issue?" Evergreen asked.
"Still doesn't exactly explain why they called you Papa..." The male in the visor said. "Maybe they're confused? Hell, lord knows I am..." He added.
Laxus lightly shrugged his shoulders. "I would like to say they are... But they have the same scent as me..." Laxus said with a sigh.
"That doesn't make any sense..." The man with the visor crossed his arms. "Are you saying that they're your children?" He asked.
"That's not possible..." Freed shook his head. "I have kept a close eye on all of Laxus' conquests and not one has ever shown signs of pregnancy..." Freed said in a matter-of-fact tone.
Evergreen and The male with the visor looked at their self-proclaimed leader in shock. They knew that Freed kept tabs on Laxus, but not to that extent.
"Does Mira know you do that?" The male in the visor asked curiously with a raised eyebrow.
"She knows that there are no boundaries when it comes to protecting Laxus..." Freed admitted causing them to shake their heads.
"If we are going with what Freed said..." Evergreen spoke up before the male with the visor could comment again, "Then it's not possible for them to be your children Laxus... It may be that this is a trick..." Laxus narrowed his eyes at her, but remained silent. "But it can also be that it's not..." She said quickly. "They have your blonde hair and the girl has your eyes... The boy, he has honey brown eyes..." Evergreen explained.
"They're fraternal twins..." Freed added on. "So if they really are Laxus' kids then he has a boy and girl..." Freed continued his thought out loud. "We should have known..." Freed said with a sigh.
"In his first try he would get two instead of one..." The man with the visor cackled as his tongue hung out of his mouth
"A boy and a girl..." Evergreen mused.
"Since we have come to an agreement that these are Laxus' children..." The male with the visor and Evergreen nodded with Freed's words, "And they are not from any of his past conquests then we can assume they come from the future..." Freed concluded.
"The Future? Really? That's the best you can come up with?" Evergreen asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well there's also what Virgo said... She was going back to her time... So I believe it would be a logical explanation..." Freed explained.
They all turned to look at Laxus who had stopped paying attention to them and watched the little ones who were now nuzzling his neck. Laxus felt their gazes on him and looked up to see them all looking at him wide eyed and smiling at him affectionately.
"Why are you guys looking at me like that?" Laxus asked with a raised eyebrow
"We always knew you had a kind and big heart under all the gruff exterior!" Freed said blinking back tears.
"If the three of you are done spouting nonsense I would like you to help me clean these 2 up so we can go ask Gramps if he can help figure this out and find out how Virgo was involved..." Laxus said with a sigh.
"He's already a caring father..." Evergreen wiped her tears away with a napkin the male with the visor handed to her.
"If these 2 aren't the end of me, it will definitely be the 3 of you..." Laxus grumbled at his team. He knew that he should be panicking about the task ahead, but having the Thunder Legion with him made it seem less intimidating. His gaze once again went to the two toddlers that were dozing against his chest.
"Papa swells..." Zoey said sleepily.
"Swells woo fowery..." Seth said finishing Zoey's sentence with a yawn.
"What are their names?" Evergreen asked. "Surely you should know that much..." She added.
"Virgo called them Seth and Zoey..." Laxus said as he started to think about it.
"Cute..." Evergreen chirped. "Alright cuties let's go give you 2 a bath a while... And you Laxus go take a shower... Even your own children think you stink..." Evergreen said going up to take the twins from Laxus.
"Ewww... No baff... No!" Zoey cried clinging to Laxus' neck. Evergreen decided to tickle the little girl which made her break out into a fit of giggles effectively letting go of Laxus.
"I'll give ya a hand there Ever..." The man with the visor said as he walked up to the boy. "Come here you..." He said.
Seth instead jumped into his arms, "Un Billow!" Seth cheered as he latched onto Bickslow's neck causing the man to cackle as he followed Evergreen to the guest bathroom.
"Well I must say they are adorable... No surprise you would create adorable children!" Freed said watching as the children get carried off.
Laxus rolled his eyes, "Yeah yeah... This shit is still confusing as hell..." Laxus groaned. "I'm going to take a shower..." Laxus said as he headed to his bedroom.
"I take it you were with another female last night?" Freed said in a disapproving tone.
Laxus sighed, "Hey if I knew I was going to run into something like this on my way home I would have the left the bar alone and came straight home..." Laxus called over his shoulder. Laxus himself was getting sick of the smell that was on him from the night before and he needed to clear his head. Too much has happened for him to try to even begin to process everything.
While Laxus was in the shower he thought back through the morning. 'Virgo called me Lord Laxus...' Laxus thought internally. 'Next those 2 called me Papa... Weirder yet they smell like me...' Laxus continued to recount the events. 'Another weird thing is Virgo... She belongs to Blondie so why the hell was she with 2 children that smell like me and would call me that... And if Freed's theory is correct and they are from the future... What does that mean exactly then?' Laxus continued to go through the events and theories and was getting more confused by the second.
By the time he was done with his shower and he was sure that the woman's scent was long gone he went downstairs to see the children sleeping on the couch surrounded by pillows. He shook his head and went back into the kitchen to where the rest of his team was.
"Laxus nice of you to finally join us... I need money..." Evergreen said holding out her hand. Laxus blinked at her several times looking at her like she has lost her mind but before he could say anything she spoke again, "For the children..." Evergreen rolled her eyes, "They're going to need clothes and such..." Evergreen added.
Laxus rubbed his temples, "Yeah, yeah..." Laxus said as he grabbed his wallet out of his back pocket and threw it to her. "Don't go too overboard..." Laxus said as he watched her walk towards the door.
Evergreen waved her hand over her shoulder dismissively, "Yeah yeah I know..." Evergreen said shutting the door behind her.
"I have a bad feeling she's going to make me broke..." Laxus muttered.
"It is Ever..." Bickslow said shrugging his shoulders with a chuckle.
"After they're done napping we'll take them to the guild..." Freed said looking over a book deep in thought.
Laxus rolled his eyes. "So you believe they're from the future?" Laxus asked and with Bickslow's nod he knew he was on the right track. "So they could honestly be mine... But better question..." Laxus began gaining Freed's attention. "How does Blondie fit in on all of this? Virgo belongs to her..." Laxus asked.
"Maybe she was babysitting... She did say that you were on a mission across the country at the time they were attacked... And who better to babysit then cosplayer?" Bickslow suggested with a shrug.
"That's likely but the children called Virgo andie which I'm guessing means Auntie... Adorable but horrible grammar..." Freed said going back to his book.
"They are what 2? Give them a break..." Bickslow said with a snort.
"How did you get them to sleep?" Laxus asked curiously.
Bickslow grinned, "Rocked them..." Bickslow said and his babies spun around his head chanting 'Rocked Them' over and over.
Laxus raised an eyebrow, "Please tell me you didn't..." Laxus asked but by the grin and the nod he got from Bickslow he knew he as sure as hell did.
"Hey how do you think we got them to settle in the tub?" Bickslow asked as his babies flew into the living room. "I can't help that they like the babies..." Bickslow said with a shrug.
"They look like toys of course they're going to like them..." Laxus said with a sigh. "I'm hungry... Breakfast?" Laxus asked as the 2 males nodded. Laxus walked over to the fridge and pulled out eggs, bacon, sausage, honeydew, grapes and milk. "Bicks pancakes..." Laxus said as he pointed to the on cabinet. Bickslow nodded as he got up and got out the pancake mix.
Half way through making breakfast the 3 men heard giggling from the living room. "Sounds like they're awake..." Laxus said as he flipped a pancake.
3 little totems flew into the kitchen and circled Bickslow's head. Bickslow chuckled, "I'll get them..." Bickslow said as he got up and walked into the living room.
"Un Billow!" Laxus and Freed heard from the living room.
"Get the hell out they know my name!" Bickslow yelled from the living room.
"You're just now noticing this? They called you that earlier..." Freed mumbled as he rolled his eyes.
"I guess that proves they're my kids... But how? And with who?" Laxus asked as he plated the last of the pancakes. "Freed grab the fruit for them..." Laxus said walking into the living room
"PAPA!" The children yelled throwing their arms up in the air.
Seth got up to run over but Zoey jumped at him knocking him to the floor. The kids rolled around while growling at each other.
Laxus sighed, Bickslow cackled and Freed watched with amusement. Laxus put the plates and bowls down on the dining table as Bickslow went over to grab the children that were growling and rolling around while baring their tiny fangs at each other.
Bickslow went to pick them up but yelped as he jumped back. "Dude! That fucking hurt..." Bickslow all but shouted as he blew on his hands.
Laxus and Freed raised an eyebrow. "What happened?" Laxus asked.
"They electrocuted me!" Bickslow whined.
All 3 men watched as a barrier of lightning began forming around the toddlers as they rolled around. Laxus walked over and picked them up by the back of the shirts causing the lightning to disappear.
"Do you think they realize they're using magic?" Freed asked in wonder.
"With the way they were acting I doubt it..." Laxus said setting the 2 down one on each side of him. "Let's eat then head to the guild..." Laxus said setting a bowl of grapes and honeydew in front of each of them.
Zoey looked over the fruit and sniffed it. She pushed the bowl away with a growl. "No! Me dun ike! Me wands Stwawbewwies..." Zoey pouted.
"What are Stwawbewwies?" Laxus asked.
"Mes wands Stwawbewwies woo..." Seth said sticking his tongue out in disgust and pushed the bowl away from him. "Me woo! Me dun ike dis!" Seth growled.
"I do believe they are asking for Strawberries..." Freed said watching as the children nodded frantically.
"Wes! Stwawbewwies!" Zoey cheered almost falling off the chair but Laxus grabbed the back of her shirt to pull her back up and sat her down again.
"Zoe! Bayon!" Seth yelled pointing to a plate of bacon. Both kids looked at the bacon and were practically drooling.
"Can they even have bacon at this age?" Bickslow asked.
Laxus shrugged, "Hell if I know..." Laxus said as he pulled Zoey down off the table by her shirt. After fighting with the twins to sit in their seats and arguing with Freed and Bickslow about tying them to the chairs Laxus had finally got them to sit still by giving each of them a piece of bacon.
Evergreen had walked through the front with her arms full of shopping bags effectively making Laxus choke on his own piece of bacon.
"Papa neeb woo tew..." Zoey said as she chewed on her bacon.
"The hell Ever?! I said don't go overboard..." Laxus finally said after getting the bacon unstuck.
"Oh but Laxus! It was all on sale! And they're absolutely adorable!" Evergreen gushed.
"Andie Eva!" Seth said holding his hands up.
Evergreen went to pick up the boy when she caught Laxus' glare. "Don't you glare at me..." Evergreen said picking Seth up hugging him.
"I wuv andie Eva's prillows!" Seth said as he nuzzled his face in between Evergreen's breast causing the Fairy mage to blush, Bickslow to cackle so hard he ended up on the floor, Freed had a matching blush on his cheeks and Laxus had to look away as to not get caught laughing.
"Alright... Alright that's enough of that..." Evergreen said pulling Seth from her chest. Evergreen put him back down in the chair and ruffled his hair. "Now you be good and eat..." Evergreen said until she caught sight of the bacon. "Laxus! Seriously! They're too young for bacon!" Evergreen scolded.
"Don't look at me, they wouldn't stop trying to climb on the table till they got the bacon... So I gave them each a piece... And they calmed down..." Laxus said in between chews.
"Mes trees!" Seth said holding up 3 fingers.
"Mes woos!" Zoey said doing the same thing.
"Okay they're 3 not 2... Close enough..." Bickslow grumbled.
"How did they manage to survive having you as a father?" Evergreen sighed but left it go. "I'm going to go put all of this away..." She said grabbing the bags and walking down the hallway.
"Good then they can get clothes on that actually fit them..." Bickslow said stealing a grape out of one of the kids bowls.
After a while Evergreen came back out with an outfit for each of them. "They better be something I would approve of..." Laxus said as he glared at Evergreen. He looked and caught sight of a picture of panda and cat. "Hell no... They will not wear animals..." Laxus said shaking his head.
"But they're adorable!" Evergreen whined.
"No... They carry the Dreyar name and represent me... That's just not happening..." Laxus said leaving no room for arguments. Evergreen pouted as she made her way back down the hallway.
"Fine you can pick out their clothes for today..." Evergreen yelled from the bedroom.
Laxus rolled his eyes as he finished up the last of the food on his plate.
"Ore!" Zoey said reaching her hands up to the table. Laxus sighed and gave her another piece of bacon and handed one to Seth seeing as he was trying to climb up onto the table.
"Bicks keep an eye on them I'm going to go pick out something that isn't covered in animals for them to wear..." Laxus said walking back to the bedroom to see Evergreen putting clothes inside an all white dresser that wasn't there before. "Where the hell did that come from?" Laxus asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh! I bought it! Their cribs will be here later today!" Evergreen chirped.
Laxus sighed, "Ever you do realize if Freed's theory is correct and they are from the future there is a good chance that they can't stay..." Laxus said but regretted it after seeing the way Evergreen's face fell and tears started to fill her eyes. Laxus groaned, "Ever! No... Who knows there's a pretty good chance that there is a future me freaking out because he can't find his kids..." Laxus tried to gently explain.
"But what if they were sent here because they were in trouble? And the only way they would be safe is if they were here!" Evergreen argued.
"Still doesn't change the facts... We still have no idea how Blondie's involved..." Laxus said but the glare from Evergreen had a small shiver go up his spine.
"Her name is Lucy... And if she's involved who knows what kind of spirits she has in the future one may be able to send people through time you never know..." Evergreen pointed out.
"Okay then explain how Virgo was here?" Laxus asked.
"Well she did say that she was with Lucy, the twins and whoever big brother is and she was to get the kids out of there..." Evergreen suggested.
"Big brother would be Loke..." Freed said as he entered the room.
"Loke has a sister?" Laxus asked out loud.
Freed chuckled slightly, "No... But from what I've over heard Loke makes her call him that..." Freed explained.
"How do you know all of this anyway?" Laxus asked.
"Like I said I've over heard her talking to Mira and Levy... Well and Loke comes and goes as he pleases..." Freed said.
"That's true I've seen him just pop out of no where..." Evergreen mused.
"PAPA!" Yelled the children as they ran in being chased by little totems.
Laxus chuckled as he bent down and snatched them up. "Ready to get dressed and go to the guild?" Laxus asked as the toddlers nuzzled into his neck.
"Gwild?" Zoey asked.
"To see Gramps?" Laxus asked hoping maybe they would know him at least.
"GWAMPS!" Both children yelled throwing their arms up in the air.
"Me wuv Gwamps!" Zoey squealed as she clapped her hands.
"Mes woo!" Seth yelled.
Laxus chuckled, "Alright then you 2 need to get dressed..." Laxus said putting them on his bed.
"How about these?" Evergreen asked holding up 2 onesies with lions on them.
"No animals..." Laxus growled.
"Un Lodi!" Zoey said pointing to the lion on the onesies.
"Well, if they knew Virgo then of course they'd know Loke..." Freed said.
"Lodi! Lodi is mama's fayvit!" Seth said with a huge grin.
"Could it be possible that Lucy is by chance their mother?" Freed wondered out loud without realizing he said that out loud.
Those words made Laxus freeze and drop the black shirt, camo cargo pants and black and yellow sneakers.
Laxus shook his head, "No... No way is that possible... Gramps would have killed me... It has to be anyone but her..." Laxus said refusing to believe such thing would be true.
"Well he wouldn't have been the only one who would have killed you..." Evergreen muttered under her breath.
"Don't I know it..." Laxus growled. "There's no way Blondie's their mother..." Laxus said shaking his head still refusing to believe it. "Here put Seth in this..." Laxus said handing the outfit he had picked back up off the floor to Evergreen. He walked back over to look through the girl clothes.
"Zoe ikes ink!" Zoey chirped.
"ink?" Laxus asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I think she means Pink... Right?" Evergreen said smiling at Zoey who nodded frantically.
"It Mamas fayvit cowor!" Zoey squealed.
"You know who else like's that color?" Evergreen said giving a sly smirk.
"No. Just No..." Laxus said as he grabbed a pink shirt with a gold shiny lightning bolt in the middle like her bothers did. He found a black and yellow plaid skort with lightning bolt buckles on the one side to hold the piece that made it look like a skirt. He grabbed a pair of black flats that he took over to Evergreen.
"Really..." Evergreen said with a raised eyebrow. Laxus tilted his head slightly in question. "Lightning bolts? I knew I should have never picked those up..." Evergreen huffed.
Laxus chuckled, "Seriously it's me of course you did..." Laxus said in amusement. "I could have always put these on them?" Laxus said as he held up 2 shirts one pink with the words 'Thing One' and a yellow shirt that said 'Thing Two'.
"Yeah No... Let's not and say we did..." Evergreen said with a glare.
Evergreen went to put the shirt on Seth but he snatched it from her, "No! Mes do!" Seth said as he tried to pull the shirt on.
Evergreen giggled, "As you wish..." Evergreen said watching and waiting for him to have enough and ask for help since he was trying to put his head through one of the arm holes. "Not as easy as it looks is it?" Evergreen mused.
"Mes uck! ELP! PEASE ELP!" Seth cried as he tried to pull the shirt off his head.
Evergreen giggled, "Alright I'll help you..." Evergreen said walking over to pull the shirt off and put it on right. "There... Better?" Evergreen asked.
"Yay! Mes can see!" Seth said throwing his hands up in the air. This caused the mages to laugh.
"Alright your turn missy..." Evergreen said picking Zoey up. She dressed Zoey who had no problem letting her. "Alright all ready to go!" Evergreen said putting Zoey down on the ground followed by Seth. They both ran out of the room yelling for Bickslow to play with them. "They are absolutely adorable!" Evergreen gushed.
"Did you have any doubts?" Freed asked as they walked out of the bedroom to the living room.
"Of course not but I can't help but think Laxus might be wrong... I mean look at the boy... His eyes look just like Lucy's... In the entire guild she is the only one who's eyes look like that... Honey brown almost a golden brown..." Evergreen said as they walked into a room where Bickslow's totems were chasing the toddlers around the room.
"I don't want to see them go..." Evergreen muttered to herself as she watched the children run and play.
Laxus sighed, "Look, we'll go to the guild, talk to Gramps and find out how Blondie's involved..." Laxus said coming up next to her.
"I suppose you're right... But I still say they were sent here for a reason..." Evergreen said sadly.
"Alright let's get going..." Laxus said with a sigh.
"Mes wand woo Gros!" Seth said running up to Laxus with his hands up.
Laxus smirked and picked him up and started to walk to the door snatching Zoey up on the way. "Let's get going..." Laxus said while walking out the door.
"This should prove to be interesting..." Freed mused as he followed behind Laxus.
The group along with the toddlers approached the guild. Suddenly Laxus felt slightly uneasy about this whole thing. He was hoping his grandfather would be understanding instead of angry specially if it turns out their mother is Lucy. He had a feeling that was the case but he didn't want to believe it. Lucy was pure happiness and sunshine bottled up inside one person. She isn't called Fairy Tail's Light for nothing. Even Laxus knew it. Which was his reason that he stayed away from her for the most part. Except for the occasional 'Hi' or 'Hello' at the bar when he would get a drink from Mira. He found himself lingering longer then needed at the bar just to be near her and listen to her laugh.
Laxus looked at the guild doors and all his courage that he had, had washed away. He was way too worried about what his grandfather would say not to mention the other slayers. He dreaded Natsu and Gajeel the most out of all the slayers.
Laxus sighed, "Now or never..." Laxus muttered as he put the kids on the ground to let them walk. As soon as Laxus opened the doors the kids took off into the building. "Shit..." Laxus muttered as the kids ran up to the bar.
"GWAAMPS!" The children yelled as they ran. They came to a screeching halt when they saw the white haired barmaid.
Mira looked at the 2 little toddlers that came to stop at here feet. "Well, hello there..." Mira said as she bent down to their level. "What are your names?" Mira asked with a smile. Before the children could say anything they were snatched out of Mira's sight causing her to look up to see that Laxus had picked them up by the back of their shirts.
Mira went to yell at him but her eyes went wide when she heard the children whine. "PAPA! WETS US GRO!" The children cried as they wiggled trying to get out of Laxus' hold.
"Papa?" Mira asked with a tilt of her head. Mira stood up and crossed her arms and glared at Laxus who was looking between the 2 children. "What do they mean Papa?" Mira asked turning her sights to Freed.
Freed felt a cold shiver go up his spine and looked at Mira. Freed looked to Evergreen and Bickslow who both shook their heads. "Traitors..." Freed muttered before turning back to look at Mira with a forced smile.
Laxus sighed, "It's a very complicated situation... Now I have to talk to Gramps about this whole situation..." Laxus said handing the children over to Freed and Evergreen.
"PAPA! NO GRO!" The children cried making Laxus halt his movement.
He turned to them, "I'll be back I just got to go talk to Gramps okay?" Laxus asked.
"Pwomise?" Zoey asked with watery eyes that clawed at Laxus' heart.
'These 2 will most definitely be the death of me...' Laxus internally groaned. "Promise..." Laxus said ruffling Zoey's hair.
Zoey still looked like she was going to cry. "Mama ays wever ake a pwomise if woo tan't teep it..." Zoey mumbled.
"I do promise..." Laxus said pointing to the door upstairs. "I'll be right in there alright? I'm getting Gramps..." Laxus said and chuckled at the bright smile he was awarded with.
"Papa..." Seth muttered. Laxus raised an eyebrow. "Is Mama dere..." Seth asked. "Da sadow nidn't get her id it?" Seth asked.
"Shadow?" Laxus questioned but remembered what Virgo said about the shadows attacking them. He looked at the children and didn't want to lie to them because he didn't know for sure. "No... She's fine... Wait here for her okay?" Laxus said ruffling Seth's hair before walking away internally cursing himself.
"Freed... Mind telling me what is going on?" Mira asked glaring at him.
Freed gulped, "As Laxus said it's quite complicated..." Freed said.
"Then uncomplicate it..." Mira said crossing her arms.
Freed went to open his mouth but Evergreen stepped in, "We will explain things the best we can but we need something to keep these cuties out of trouble... Something other then Bickslow's babies..." Evergreen said with a smile as she nuzzled Seth's cheek.
"Have they eaten?" Mira asked.
"Yup..." Bickslow said watching his babies circle around the children's heads making them giggle and clap their hands.
"Snack?" Mira asked while in thought.
"Why not... They like bacon..." Bickslow said with a shrug.
"I'm not giving them bacon they are too young for bacon!" Mira scolded.
"You sound like Ever..." Bickslow grumbled. "They ate it fine... Plus it was the only thing that they would settle for at the house..." Bickslow said.
"Fruit?" Mira asked as she tapped her chin with her finger.
"They didn't want the grapes or honeydew at the house..." Bickslow said.
"Stwawbewwies!" The children yelled throwing their arms up in the air.
"Strawberries? We have those... After all we have someone here who loves them..." Mira giggled as she walked back into the kitchen to fetch some strawberries.
Freed and Evergreen walked up to the bar and sat the children down onto the counter. When Mira returned Freed and Ever began telling her their accounts of the events of the morning. Bickslow would throw in a comment here and there.
Master Makarov's Office
Laxus had knocked on the door listening as his grandfather grumbled about interrupting him. Laxus had to bite back a chuckle. When he heard his grandfather say 'Come in' he opened the door and shut it behind him.
"Laxus?" Makarov said in surprise. "What do you need? And why are you here so early?" Makarov asked with a raised eyebrow.
Laxus scratched the back of his head as he sat down. He repeated what he was going to say over and over in his head the whole way from the house till now. But for the life of him now he couldn't figure out what he was going to say, like his whole brain shut down.
"Well... Um... I ran into something interesting on the way home and I was hoping to talk to you about it... If it would even be possible that is... I don't see how it would be but even so..." Laxus rambled. His thoughts were all over the place Makarov had a hard time following along with him.
"Laxus!" Makarov called effectively shutting Laxus up. "What happened? Slowly this time..." Makarov said. This was the first time he's ever seen his grandson this out of sorts.
"I have twins..." Laxus said and mentally slapped himself when Makarov's jaw dropped. "I mean I found twins that might possibly be mine... Virgo brought them to me and they called me Papa and they know my entire team and and and..." Laxus tried to explain.
"LAXUS!" Makarov yelled gaining his attention again internally facepalming himself. "What do you mean Virgo? Like Lucy's spirit Virgo?" Makarov asked. Laxus nodded. "That makes no sense..." Makarov grumbled.
"Tell me about it... I don't understand all of it either... Virgo was there, she was holding the twins, a boy and girl, she said something about shadows attacking them and then when she opened her eyes she was in the middle of the forest..." Laxus explained. He continued to explain everything that happened and what Virgo had said including about how he was supposed to be on a mission across the country.
Makarov listened intently and was thinking how impossible this all sounded. "Boy... Are you sure you're not dreaming?" Makarov asked.
"I'm positive... They're downstairs..." Laxus said and watching in amusement as his grandfather's eyes widened.
"What do you mean they're downstairs?" Makarov asked.
"The twins, they're downstairs..." Laxus said as he watched his grandfather's head turn slowly to look at the door. Laxus smirked, "Want to meet them?" Laxus asked and almost burst out laughing when his grandfather nodded frantically.
When they exited the office they were just at the top of the steps when they caught sight of the toddlers on the bar counter eating strawberries. But before they could descend the stairs the doors crashed opened embedding themselves in the walls.
"I SWEAR I'M GOING TO KILL THE BOTH OF YOU! HOW COULD YOU GUYS DO THAT! AGAIN!" They heard a female voice scream. They watched as Lucy walked through the guild hall with Natsu, Gray and Happy pleading for her forgiveness.
"Now what did they do?" Makarov muttered. Only they could get Lucy this riled up and angry.
Laxus and Makarov sighed as they watched from the top of the stairs..
"But Luce! We didn't mean to!" Natsu whined.
"Yeah Please Lucy! We'll help fix it!" Gray begged.
"We were just trying to make breakfast..." Happy said.
"NO! That's it! I've had it! All 3 Of You are NOT allowed at my apartment ever again..." Lucy snapped as she walked up to the bar.
"But Luce!" Natsu pleaded.
Lucy spun around and glared at the slayer. "I. Said. NO!" Lucy shouted.
Happy flew over to the bar to stand on it. He noticed the 2 toddlers sitting there. He walked over to them and stared at them for a while.
"Who are you?" Happy asked gaining the toddlers attention.
"APPY!" The children yelled. Zoey grabbed Happy and hugged him tight.
"Can't... Breathe..." Happy gasped out.
Natsu and Gray pouted till Natsu's nose twitched. He looked around and noticed the blonde toddlers sitting on the bar. One was squeezing Happy to death, literally it looked like it. The other was hugging one of Bickslow's totems. He cocked his head to the side in confusion. He sniffed the air getting even more confused. Lucy had gone over to Levy ranting about how they destroyed her kitchen and part of her living room.
Natsu went up and sniffed at the boy first. The boy blinked at Natsu before grabbing his hair on each side of his head.
"NATU!" Seth shouted as he laughed at Natsu's failed attempts at prying the kid off him. Natsu huffed and glanced at the strawberries. He grabbed one and offered it to the boy who took it greedily effectively letting go of Natsu's hair.
Natsu let out a sigh of relief but continued to sniff. 'He smells like Luce... And... Is that Laxus' scent?' Natsu thought internally. Natsu looked at the boy's eyes and saw they looked just like Lucy's eyes but Laxus' eyebrows and hair color. Natsu scratched the back of his head and then looked at the girl. He went up and sniffed the girl who grabbed a hold of his nose letting her hold on Happy loosen.
"No Natu! Zoe dun't ike..." Zoey said pushing Natsu's face away but not letting go of his nose. Natsu finally got his nose free after a few seconds. He saw the girl have Laxus' eyes and Lucy's eyebrows with Laxus' hair color. Natsu scratched the back of his head again.
Laxus was watching from the top of the stairs and Natsu glared at him. "Why do they smell like you and Luce?" Natsu asked dangerously low.
Laxus felt a lump form in his throat. He was hoping his team was wrong. Laxus couldn't think of anything to say since his brain was backfiring on him. Laxus' mouth opened and closed a few times while his team watched with great amusement.
"Are you going to answer me, why do they smell like you and Luce?" Natsu asked his tone much harder this time. Before anyone could say anything Lucy came walking up and saw the toddlers who were staring at her their eyes starting to water.
"Oh... Hello..." Lucy said with a smile. Next thing Lucy knew she had 2 sets of tiny arms around her neck crying 'Mama' over and over. Lucy was surprised but pushed it to the side in attempts to calm the children down. Lucy hugged them close while whispering soothing words to them and rubbing her hands up and down on their backs.
"Mama otay!" Zoey cried. "Mama no ain?" Zoey asked with tear filled eyes.
Lucy blinked a few times looking at her, "Mama... Id da sadow urt woo?" Seth asked.
"Shadow?" Lucy asked. The twins nodded. "No it didn't..." Lucy replied. She hated lying but she didn't want them more upset.
Lucy sat down at her teams table holding both of them. She looked over at the group that consisted of The Thunder Legion, Mira, Natsu, and Gray. She noticed that Laxus was at the top of the stairs with his grandfather shaking his head for some reason.
"Someone want to tell me what's going on? And why they are calling me Mama? And asking me if I'm still in pain?" Lucy asked as tightened her arms around the toddlers.
Okay so This is the first chapter of the rewrite I hope this one is better then the last version...
