I was standing alone in the playground blooming flowers in my hand when a boy who looked my age walked up to me.
He smiled and said, "I'm Cedric Diggory. Are you a witch?"
"Yes. I assume that you're a wizard considering you asked the question. Going to Hogwarts? I am."
"Yea, me too. Wanna play wizarding chess?"
"Sure, just so you know, I'm really good."
"You never said your name."
"Cho. Cho Chang."
"COME ON! You're too good!"
"Well, I wanna be a Ravenclaw. So, I guess it's good."
"I hope you are. Friends?"
"Forever," I responded smiling.

"Cho, I wanted to ask. Will you come to the Yule Ball with me?" he sighed. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes!" I threw my arms around his neck. He leaned and kissed me. "I love you."
"I love you too."
"Forever."
"Forever." He agreed with a smile.
"Be careful! Win for me!"
"Don't worry, I will. You're the reason I've come this far."
"Am not. You're just amazing!" He kissed my nose. I giggled, reached up, and kissed his lips as he twirled me around.

Harry appeared, clutching Cedric to his chest. He was crying and scarred as if he'd just come out of battle. His arm was oozing blood. Cedric was limp and unmoving. I tried to convince myself that he was just knocked out, but there was a feeling at the bottom of my stomach like something in me had died. Then, Harry choked out, "He's back. Voldemort. He's back. And he killed him. He killed Cedric." No. No. No! I started sobbing and ran up to him and held his body and Mad-Eye took Harry away. I sat there on the ground, stunned, shocked, and grieving. We were supposed to be together forever. He's gone. A voice in my head said. I knew it was right, but I didn't let go until Dumbledore ushered me inside.

Hogwarts was at war. Death Eaters stormed the castle and destroyed everything in their path. One of them shot a spell at me and I easily deflected it. We dueled for a while. Then, I heard a voice that sounded like Cedric's whisper in my ear, It's time, love. Come join me. I gasped. A spell hit me. I felt my heart stop and I whispered, "Cedric."
"Hi."
"Cedric!"
"I missed you."
"You can't say anything. Two years Ced. Two years! I had to stay alive without you for TWO YEARS. At least you were up, wait, where exactly am I?"
"Heaven."
"It's a place?"
"Yes."
"Well, you were up here chilling, IN HEAVEN, while I-" He swallowed the rest of my rant with his mouth and kissed me the way I'd longed for.
He pulled away and said, "Forever."
"Forever," I responded, remembering that it was the first promise we had made to each other when we were just eleven.
