Welcome to my new FanFic! I know it has been a week or so but I have been busy with school, sports, and coming up with a new story idea that I will stick with. Finally, I have found the perfect story! Granted, it was right in the middle of spanish class, but whatever. I usually come up with the perfect ideas at school when I zone out anyway!
The story is called… You Left Me Behind. How Do You Feel Now?
Summary: Jeb was a psycho scientist. (A/N: No, really? I had noooo idea). Valencia was a friendly vet. Their first son was Ari. Behind Val's back, Jeb injected bird DNA into Ari trying to get him to grow wings. He was a failed experiment. Jeb would punish Ari because he was useless. Eight years later, Emily was born. She too, was injected with the same DNA but from a Cardinal Bird instead of an Eagle. It failed as well. By this point, Ari was going crazy and was scarred emotionally and physically. Two more years later, a set of twins were born. Max and Aiden. They were both Falcon DNA. Aiden failed but for some reason, Max succeeded. She grew wings. Jeb was thrilled. Two years later, Ella was born. By this point, Val began to raise suspicion about Ari's weird behavior. Ella was also a failed experiment. Why was Max the only successful one?
Ari was thirteen, Emily was five, Aiden and Max were three, and Ella was two when Val finally realized what Jeb was doing to her kids. Jeb managed to keep the kids while Val left. One year later, Ari ran away and then five months later, Jeb got remarried to a horrible abusive woman. Max moved into the lab since she was a lab rat and Jeb let his new wife beat up the failed experiments.
The only time Max was allowed to see her siblings was on the weekends and that was about once every month. The three kids couldn't escape the abuse and Max couldn't escape the torture, tests, and cages. This went on until Emily was sixteen, Aiden and Max were fourteen, and Ella was twelve.
One day, Val came back to find what the stepmom has been doing to her kids. She immediately takes the three of them but doesn't go get Max. Since Max was three, she completely forgot she had another kid. The three siblings tried to go get Max but Val wouldn't let them. They had no choice but to leave Max behind and start a new life in San Diego, California with their super friendly stepfather. The siblings vowed to never forget their sister Max.
Two months after Val got the three kids out, Max escaped the lab. She went to the house to find it empty of her three siblings. The stepmom said that they were taken by their real mother. Max left immediately with her super speed. She was angry that her siblings didn't come for her, angry that her own real mother didn't care enough to come get her; sad that she has no own; betrayed at what her family has become; hunger for a new life.
But what Max has learned after years of pain and suffering, is that emotions get you nowhere. The only thing you need to know is how to fight and survive. She buries her memories and emotions deep down and decides to do the one thing she always wanted to do. And that is travel.
For the next two years, Max fights, escapes the clutches of men who are to return her to her father, and travels the world. Fighting and traveling are the only thing that makes her happy. With her super speed and ability to speak and understand any language, she sees everything in a short amount of time. Now, she is sixteen. While she was traveling, she picked up her most prized possessions. Her scrapbook of her family and her travels, and her camera. She captured almost every moment of her travels for her to always remember.
Now, the Marteniz's- Val and John (the stepfather), Emily (18), Aiden (16), Ella (14) and little Jake (6). Ever since Val saved the three siblings, they have been living the life in San Diego, California. They have been enjoying school, sports and other activities, their friends and surfing. Every once and a while, they think about Max. But it usually isn't happy. It's just guilt, regret, and sadness. They have been trying over the years to keep Max in their memories and move on. They keep saying that it isn't her fault that she was a successful experiment. The three siblings aren't even jealous that she was a success, they are just sad that she was. They wish that she could have the same life they are having now. Since she is too hard to think about, they don't talk about her. Val completely doesn't know that she has another daughter, John and Jake don't know she exists and the siblings' friends- Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Angel, and Gazzy- don't know about her either.
What happens when Max decides to spend some time in San Diego? What happens when she stumbles upon and recognizes her siblings at the beach with their merry little lives? Well, You Left Me Behind. How Do You Feel Now? Do You Have Any Idea What I Have Been Through? Nope, that's what I thought.
How do you like this idea? Let me know. Chapter One will be coming soon. This story should be longish? Well, I am hoping it will be. Is the idea unique enough?
