A creature as old as time.
It awakened upon the first Titan war but laid to rest, as Ymir directed.
But this was not Ymir's creation. It was from another plane. Another realm.
Agitated by Eren Yeager's utilization of the Founding Titan so many years ago, it's reawakened, sailing along shores in search of this opponent.
For he is the King of The Monsters.
No mere man.
The warriors of Marley and Paradis confronted one another steadfast. Eren Yeager clutched in his claws the Warhammer Titan user, a powerful creature capable of summoning creations from the incredibly durable crystalline material it manifests. Surrounding Eren Yeager morphed in total were Marlayen Military units. Zeke Yeager, the Beast Titan, stood erect in the courtyard supported by the Jaw and Cart Titans, each with eyes on Eren and his recently acquired target.
Each one-eyed another with death. Reiner's armored Titan lay buried under rubble, all military units withheld to a standstill as the Founder Titan user clutched the next part of its plan. Unbeknownst to all of them. Growls exchanged between the Cart and Beast were audible to those critical. Low, monstrous huffs, which sounded far less human than the pilots of these things, emanated in place of voices.
Urging vigilance.
Demanding circumspection.
Eren bored green eyes into the crystalline construct containing the Warhammer user. Her name was lost to him at this point, but the woman's eyes stared up at him. But not quite through, unlike how he presented himself.
.
Marley's Navy stood by in their port, prepared to unleash full capability on the Paradis Scout Regiment who've infiltrated their port city. Within this drifting armada of ironclads, a single wooden boat sailed. Shrouded in tarps by a Torpedo Destroyer, one crewmate cast a glare down to it. Witnessing a lone figure wrapped in a cloak, staring deep into the boards. He rushed to the railing, calling out to this figure.
"Hey, you in the fishing boat over there! It's dangerous here! Can't you see this whole fleet here?"
The figure under dark sail and precarious closure did not answer, simply rearing its shrouded head, beginning to unveil itself.
"Hey!"
His final inquiry was answered with the person revealing himself—a blonde with almost smooth, feminine features dressed in grey gear. Underlying harnesses with emblems the man did not recognize. The crewman stepped back, somewhat aghast and bewildered at what he was seeing. Was this their enemy? A second deckhand stopped by, rifle slung over the shoulder to observe.
The boy looked at them, teeth clenched as yellow, crackling electricity surged about his frame. Sudden, vehement displays of light danced around the boy, illuminating an aggressive swath of blinding rays immediately cascading into an ear-fracturing explosion. A sudden, washing wave of light tormented the sky from port to town courtyard. It burned eyes and send out shockwaves, decimating the entire portside fleet into little more petite than sludge and rubble.
And then, it erupted.
Massive, pluming waves thrashed into the sky. Gasses a mixture of red and yellow scythed into the air, billowing smoke and superheated fragments ripping through the immediate townscape as something rose from the explosion. The sight, accentuated with a mushroom cloud and torrents of yellow lightning, gave way to the rise of the Colossal Titan. Its revealed, sinewy frame towering dozens of meters over everything around it, a monolith of death.
Galliard, who'd been vehemently watching, re-merged with his Titan after brief words with Pieck, still in complete Cart form. He dashed forward, down beside and in front of Zeke and directly at Eren Yeager. Galliard exposed the flank in that sudden charge, and twisting, glinting blades ripped through the Beast Titan's neck, forcing it suddenly and violently to the ground.
The Cart Titan glared over it, growling to itself.
Levi Ackerman.
He'd done the deed.
Priming an explosive and darting off, it erupted at the Beast's neck, blowing whatever was there into nothing.
Galliard turned, glaring into what remained of the Beast Titan. Gabi and co were tackled by Magath as shrapnel raked the area. Scout Regiment Soldiers utilizing ODM gear raced across rooftops and along sidewalls in a sudden surprise maneuver, rushing the Cart and the Jaw. Machine gun fire from its four turrets raked the skies, shredding two Scouts before one fired an ineffective missile, the Cart swatting it off.
From the side, Sasha Braun exhaled. Slowly. And depressed her rifle's trigger. Slowly. A K98 make. The gun popped, and her round found its target, punching through the forehead of one gunner: front and port. The crew's abhorred reaction slowly came to life as Pieck turned her Titan and charged directly at Braun.
Leaping up from the side of the building, Jean pre-primed his missile, firing a connection cord from his ODM gear and sliding directly to the lunging Titan. The rocket streaked off, embedding itself in the Cart's eye before detonating violently within. As Jean exited from behind the Cart Titan, he shouted up to commence their next move.
"Now!"
Six Scouts swept up and over the roof, priming and arming their projectiles in a reverse wedge pattern, peppering Pieck's mounts and her Titan in a sudden staccato of explosives instantly devouring her team and catapulting her Titan off the side of the building, dismembered and disfigured. Pieck mainly had pulled herself off, but the brilliant streaks of yellow brimstone and red blood made it seem otherwise. Her form collapsed by Magath, Gabi, and Falco.
They could only gawk.
.
The port and its nearby docks had been reduced to smoldering ruins. Twisted, superheated pieces of metal intertwined with red hot dirt and rock. A crater several meters deep now filled the harbor, red gasses and other examples of the Colossal Titan's absolute judgment showered down on Marley at that time. This destruction ravaged the nearby town, remains of bodies strewn within collapsed and melted buildings, children, men, and women releasing dying breaths. Their bodies perforated in multiple locations from debris, shrapnel, and superheated airwaves.
The Colossal stood among several hundred meters of destruction and death. Simmering red ashes rose from its massive hooves to the crimson ring that separated ground zero from still intact structures. Armin within gazed upon the destruction, sickened. He was sickened that any of this happened. Sickened that it was even brought upon. Because now, they were no better than Marley.
More murders, right?
Except something was wrong.
A presence loomed, and as Armin tilted the Colossus's head, it gazed upon something entering the seething remains of Marley's Port and Navy. A shadow soon entered the clouds of ash and soot, of brimstone and fire. But something was wrong. Gravely wrong. There were no Titans this size, and as Armin witnessed something dark and scaly, prehistoric and angry set foot into the crater he created, a swelling, bulging cyclone spurred in his stomach.
Cracked and cragged scales ranging from dark green to charred black surrounded a frame of pulsing, sinewy flesh. Its plates were visibly thick, coating the edge of something crooned over but still much taller than the Colossal Titan. Its snout protruding through the hazy cloud equipped itself with a permanent sneer. Fangs from a massive mouth slowly opened and closed as it breathed. It snorted. This thing, with beady eyes, reptilian features, and such an enormous gait it dwarfed the Colossal Titan.
Sinister humming matched with blue, radiant light. It slowly ascended into a loud buzzing, spines the size of buildings illuminating a gray-blue as whatever happened, happened. Armin's Titan rescinded afoot, but the boy still gawked and stared at this abomination of a creature. These spines increased in volume and light every moment until the final one irradiated an entire, blue mountain over its back.
Black, beady eyes glowed intensely bright blue. The thing opened its mouth, a meaty internal maw irradiating the same blue. That humming and buzzing acclimated with this blindingly bright blue light, hitting a crescendo where it all finally just... Erupted. Armin witnessed his last few moments staring into a blue beam of death as it tore through his Titan's torso. Accompanied with this menacing roar, Armin could only witness as atomic energy he'd yet to understand reduced each fiber of the Colossus's flesh, including him, to the molecular level.
.
Sloshing rivers of crimson accompanied with crystalline shards slid down Eren's Titan throat. Above him, he held the Jaw in a vice, clenching and crushing the construct the woman had hid in. After it fractured, her remains poured en-masse into the new Founding Titan's wielder. Only so many to go, Eren told himself. But, something was wrong in the air. It was heavy and hot. Vehement streaks of blue coursed through the hazy smoke, the remains of the city from being exploded into oblivion.
Tossing aside the Jaw-gremlin Titan, Eren peered into the vast area where Armin should be.
Except he wasn't.
The location previously inhabiting Armin's Colossal Titan form had been uprooted by something twice as massive as that Titan. A long, brilliant blue stream of superheated particles ripped through the flesh of the Colossal Titan and everything behind it. Violent explosions rippled across the ground as these particles slammed into it at superior velocity, reducing the surroundings to mere bubbling lumps.
An extending spike protruded through the Jaw's mouth from Eren's palm, a configuration of the Warhammer Titan residing within. It pried open the cockpit where Galliard lie and his bewildered expression matched everyone else on the battlefield. From Mikasa, Levi, Jean, Sasha, Gabi, Magath... Even Reiner was peering listlessly. Everyone distracted. But Eren resorted to his instincts. Grab everything he could now to fight this new threat.
Galliard's body was ripped from the Jaw's body and tossed into Eren's mouth, teeth-gnashing a screaming boy as his insides were reduced to mush. Before anyone had any clue to what had happened, it was too late, and the remains of Galliard's innards were streaking down Eren's maw. Marlayen forces were only just now reacting to what Eren had done.
"No!"
A barely conscious Pieck shrieked as she was pulled from her Titan's carcass by Magath. Gabi observed in horror. Falco vomited. Eren paid them no mind, sprinting directly for where Reiner watched in pained intervals. His friends were dying. Everything had gone awry. And now this monster... Whatever it was... Arrived to produce a prejudicial judgment. He probably didn't even feel it as Eren ripped him from the ground and shoved him in the Attack Titan's maw, chewing and shredding his body for fuel to the furnace.
Swallowing down the gullet, rapid electrical frays danced across Eren's Titan form, mutating and maligning into something completely different. The four Titans were intertwining, becoming something else. Its own small eruption occurred, flooding the courtyard with hot gas and sharp air as plates, mutated maws, and new limbs began to sprout in large quantities.
It no longer looked normal.
Eren had created an abomination.
The creature's beam had subsided, and its nearly four hundred-foot figure tromped into view. Beady eyes boring into the survivors of the scrap earlier. It peered, searching each one for something. Then it stared at Eren. Bored into him with its eyes. Eren glared back.
Steam hissed off the Titan's neck, and Eren emerged. His green hues searched the sky as Levi soared about.
"Bring him to me! Now!"
Eren wasn't much for commanding things. But now was the time, if there was ever going to be one. He'd acquired what he wanted and more. It was now time to start the rumbling. Levi hauled an unconscious and miraculously still living Zeke to the malformed Titan's shoulder. Zeke's eyes barely parted, looking up into a much gritter sky than he remembered.
Yeager placed his palm to Zeke's forehead. Crackling bolts erupted in the sky as something malignant and malevolent grew, exploding in size. Vehement gasses and shockwaves blasted those near away, and Mikasa could only watch as Eren began this transformation. A swirling tornado of energy began to envelop the nearby area.
In tandem, a hum vitriolically tore through the air. Vivid blues irradiated off this creature's spine, lacing through its dorsal protrusions, across its back, and out its maw. A howl emanated, rippling across buildings as that iridescent blue beam that thing fired speared this new creation through the chest, splitting it in two and rendering bones as it grew into hapless heaps. This energy beam ripped through it in several cross-sections, taking it and whatever was around it down in series of malevolent atomic hellfire.
Mikasa watched in horror as what Eren had tried to become was reduced to ashes.
A triumphant howl berated their ears.
The King of Monsters was victorious.
A one shot. But maybe I will make this one more in depth. Probably not. Hope you enjoyed! Got another one coming, too. Different genres.
