AN CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR SEASON 7 EPISODE 4 ON!
I got the idea for this wondering how Caitlin's mom Carla Tannhouser might react to the split between Caitlin and Frost.
SURPRISE MOM WE'RE TWINS NOW!
After the split of Caitlin and Frost, their mother Carla Tannhouser comes for a surprise visit. But she is the one that is in for a surprise when she finds her daughters no longer share a body but each have their own.
Caitlin Snow walked into the apartment that she now shared with her former other half. Frost who she use to share a body with now had her own. They had split after Frost took a blast from Eva McCulloch. Best guess was that the blaster she used is what caused the split due to the reflective mirror chip in it causing Frost's cell to replicate creating her a body of her own. Had this happened years ago when her counterpart first made her icy presents known Caitlin would have been over joyed. But now she was a little sad. She was beginning to miss Frost's voice in her head. But she was growing use to only having her own thoughts in her head again. She knew Frost was home due to the loud hard rock music playing. But at least it wasn't deafening loud today. She walked over to the stereo and turned it down as her phone rang. Seeing that it was her mother she answered. They had only talked once since her mom finished treating her and Frost for the injury caused by the new Dr. Light and regenerated by Sunshine. Frost came out of her room as Caitlin answered.
"Hi mom. Is everything ok?" asked Caitlin
"Everything is fine honey. I was calling to let you know that I am going to be in Central City tomorrow. I thought we could catch up."
"Um yeah that would be great. There is actually something that Frost and I need to tell you anyway. I think it is something best done in person. How about you come over to my apartment for dinner? I'll cook." Said Caitlin looking at Frost
"Sounds good honey. Six thirty good for you?"
"Should be. If anything comes up I will be sure to give you a call."
"Good see you then. I love you. Give my love to Frost too."
"Love you too mom."
Caitlin hung up and looked at her sister as they have come to call each other.
"So Carla is coming?" asked Frost
"Yeah. You do know that we were going to have to tell her about our split at some point." Said Caitlin
"Yeah well at least she should be able to understand that science mumbo jumbo about how you think it happened."
"Frost, I thought that you two started to bond while we were getting treated."
"We did. But we still have a long way to go in becoming mother and daughter."
"You do know that my relationship with our mom is still not that great. But it is getting better."
"Yeah I know. I just don't know how Carla is going to react to the fact that she now truly has two daughters."
"I think that she will be ok with it. Frost, we are all going to need more time to adjust to how things are now. Though you might want to think about coming up with a name other than Frost. I mean we do need to figure out a way to give you a real identity."
"Oh yeah like that is going to be any help. In case you forgot that Kristen Kramer is hunting me. Tell me why didn't Oliver Queen erase my criminal past when he rebooted the universe? I mean he took the time to bring back his old buddy Tommy, his mother and half sister from the dead. Not to mention giving Diggle and Lyla back the daughter Barry erased when he created Flashpoint while keeping their son."
"I don't know. Maybe because it was not something that could be changed."
"You do know I didn't really live up to the name Killer Frost. The only killing I actually ever did was those Earth-X Nazis oh and Black Flash. You know that zombie Hunter Zolomon. He is actually the only one I enjoyed killing. I enjoyed it because of the pain he caused you."
"I know you didn't actually kill anyone. I don't count the Nazis because that was a kill or be killed situation. It was self defense in my opinion. As for Hunter seeing as he was already technically dead he doesn't count."
"Thanks."
"Frost, you are my sister. I know you better then most people. I know that you aren't the person you use to be."
"Caity, think Carla will be cool with us being this way?"
"I hope so. You deserve to have a life as much as I do. Neither of us should live half a life. I mean it's not like either of us can actually date when we are merged. We have different tastes in men."
"Well Ronnie wasn't too bad. But Zoom in disguise then that argent brit. I wasn't lying when I told him we didn't love him and never did. You didn't love him. You were using him to see if he could get rid of me."
"I know and I am sorry about that."
"Ralph told me that when Devoe locked me away you tried everything you could think of to try and get me back."
"I did. All it actually took was the threat to the people we saw as our family to get you to break free."
"Yeah you tell any of them how much I actually love them I will freeze your This is Us DVDs."
"Wouldn't dream of it. But I think they already know."
Frost rolled her eyes and headed back to her room.
Caitlin tossed her purse down and went into the kitchen to check on the dinner she had put in the slow cooker that morning. It was just after six. Things were just weirder than normal. Not only was the speed force in human form. But there were these other forces causing problems. She turned and noticed that the table had been set for three. Frost walked out into the living room.
"Thanks for setting the table." Said Caitlin
"No problem. It was the least I could do. Dinner does smell good."
"Thanks."
Just then there was a knock on the door. Frost headed back to the bedrooms out of sight. Caitlin went to open the door.
"Hi mom." Said Caitlin
"Hi honey dinner smells wonderful." Said Carla hugging Caitlin
"Thanks. Um about that thing I need to tell you. You might want to sit down." Said Caitlin
"You are ok right honey? You aren't sick are you?" asked Carla sitting on the couch.
"No it is nothing like that. The best way to do this is just to show you."
Frost walked out then causing Carla's eyes to get really big. It took a couple of minutes but Carla finally recovered enough to regain her voice.
"How did this happen? Is it safe for both of you?" asked Carla
"The short version is that I got hit by Mirror Monarch's mirror ray gun." Said Frost
"Best I can figure is it cased our cells to duplicate. We had headaches until I ended up passing out from one. We wake up and we each have our own body. Medically speaking there is nothing wrong with either of us." Said Caitlin
"So this mirror ray more or less cloned you and transferred Frost into the duplicated body." Said Carla
"Yes." Said Caitlin
"Well it is nice to be able to talk with both of my daughters at the same time." Said Carla
"You are ok with this?" asked Frost
"Frost, of course I am ok with this. You are just as much my daughter as Caitlin is."
"Except you never asked for me."
"No I didn't. But I am glad to have you. I love both of my girls."
Carla got up and hugged Frost. Frost hugged Carla back while Caitlin watched smiling.
"Mom maybe you can help us with something. We need to create a civilian identity for Frost. We just need to come up with a name that she can use. I know a couple of hackers that can create everything she needs. Birth certificate, social security number all that kind of stuff. Well my birth certificate will need to be altered to make us twins." Said Caitlin
"Have you given it any thought Frost?" asked Carla
"Well nothing similar to Caitlin. Cause that would be so lame. I also don't want to be called Khione. That was what that demon that took over Thomas's body wanted to call me. I want no reminders of him. He wanted to kill Caity." Said Frost
"That is understandable. You know Thomas and I almost named Caitlin, Crystal." Said Carla
Both Caitlin and Carla could see Frost thinking it over.
"Well it isn't totally lame." Said Frost
"So Frost do you want to legally become Crystal Snow?" asked Caitlin
"Sure sounds good."
"Then welcome to the family Crystal Snow." Said Carla
"Thanks mom." Said Crystal
"How about we eat? I will call Felicity tomorrow and have her work her magic." Said Caitlin
"You think she can do it?" asked Frost
"Shouldn't be a problem. Though I should warn you I am going to tell her to make you like five minutes younger then me." Said Caitlin as she pulled the roast beef out of the slow cooker.
It only took a few minutes to serve up dinner and for the three women to sit down at the table.
"So mom what brings you to town?" asked Caitlin
"Seeing as I am an expert on cryo medicine as well as genetics I was called in to consult with a woman named Kristen Kramer from the governors police compliance committee in regards to helping capture a rouge metahuman." Said Carla
Caitlin and Frost exchanged a look.
"Mom the meta she is after is Frost. She wants to arrest her for what she did back when she first woke up." Said Caitlin
"Well then I guess I need to make sure that she doesn't get her hands on either of my girls."
"I don't know if you will stop her. She still sees me as Killer Frost. Though I never killed in anything other than self defense. Even when I was going all super villain. I remember even telling Flash once that I hadn't really been living up to the name." said Frost
"Is there anyone you can think of that might frame you for something now that would have her really gunning for you?" asked Caitlin
"Well Snart is dead. Though he did go and join up with the time hoppers. Mr. Freeze is still locked up I think. But he would rather torment Gotham anyway." Said Frost
"There is no one else?" asked Carla
Suddenly Caitlin thought of someone. Someone who had worked briefly at Mercury Labs during the few months she worked there after Ronnie had died for good. But was fired for building unauthorized weapons.
"What about Mark Stevens? He built cryo guns while at Mercury. Tina fired him for it. She didn't approve of him building the weapons." Said Caitlin
"Yeah he could be behind this. He was working for Amunet for a while. I think he was her number 2." Said Frost
"Don't worry I will do whatever I can to protect you." Said Carla
Unfortunately Carla would not be able to stop Kramer from arresting Frost. It was going to be up to Team Flash to prove that their friend was innocent of the crime she was accused of.

Mark Steven aka Chilblane is going to be introduced in season 7 episode 7. While i don't know his history on the show when this is going up I thought it would be interesting if he has a connection to both Caitlin and Frost.
