I always thought death would be a while away, not soon. But then again we all have to die sometime… even if it was ultimately hopeless. I think even deep down I knew I would not be able to beat her. She was a maiden after all… I guess what I'm trying to say is death isn't so bad.
Just the feeling of being submerged in water and sinking. It was nice, not feeling like my body was on fire and all. My limbs felt of a dull roar of pain, like they were all exhausted or had been frozen up. But I'm pretty sure I was turned to dust so I guess having limbs at all was nice. Just the gentlest feeling of sinking in cold water… While ignoring what felt like the worst failed back flip into a pool ever.
A dull roar of pain… as I sank… in cold water… pain in death… I tried to breathe but when the only thing to enter my body was water I came to the sluggish realization.
NOT DEAD! DROWNING! DON'T WANT TO DIE... AGAIN!
In an instant my eye snapped open and I began flailing around trying to not only remember how to swim but figure which way was up. When I broke the surface of the water I struggled to keep upright in the pool. Looking up I could see the strangest orange light on top of a cliff… in a cave… I don't like it here. I dragged myself from the pool of water where I found myself.
A dark dank cave the size of a mountain… Where am I, Mistral? That would actually explain a lot. But it would raise even more questions. How did I get here? Where is here? Did Cinder teleport me to Mistral? Could Cinder teleport people? Why does my head hurt? Why to all of it? No seriously WHY?
Jaune.
Where was Jaune? Hopefully not still in that locker I shoved him in Vale… I have to apologize for that. I tried to massage my temple with my left hand but felt nothing… If the adrenaline going through my system was preventing me from realizing I lost an arm I'm going to be- it's gone… and not in a recently chopped off numb way either. This is a healed over numb that had been scorched beyond recognition. So, Cinder chopped off my arm to spite me… GrEaT.
Well… that was better than death… so… it evens out I guess. I was tired of this and if the noises I heard from up top were Cinder and her cohorts then I want nothing to do with it. Got to get away from here… But how? I was trapped in a cave with only the clothes on my back, weirdly shaped dress and all. Punching the ground was my only option as I came to the realization of my futility.
*CHIc
Looking up I could see a small ray of light as it broke through the cave wall. Well… that was lucky. A few jabs at it and I was able to make the hole just large enough to crawl through. It was… a tight squeeze. Enough moaning and groaning later I was out.
In a watery ditch. Well that screams like my luck, next thing you know I'll get recognized as the invincible girl and someone will take a selfie with my soon to be unconscious body. NO. Stand up. I basically had to order what was left of my limbs to stand. It was an arduous task that felt like I was being torn apart bit by bit but when I stood it became clear that I should have stayed on the ground.
The dull pounding in my limbs was replaced by a fervently determined need to collapse and crumble to the ground. But I wouldn't let that happen. I struggled for what felt like miles but in reality it was probably just a few feet. In my semiconscious haze I tilted my head up and confirmed that I was in fact in Mistral. With it's big old mountains, the tall buildings carved into them, the suspension bridges that were converted into condos, or the massive blimps that floated like they weren't massive eyes sores. Looking at you Schnee Blimp.
The distraction was good, it detracted from the incredible pain. But hey nothing like pain to tell you're alive. Until it slapped you in the face and called you a baby. I collapsed under my own weight. I'm going to slip into unconsciousness soon. I should at least try to will myself into some cover. Because I'm so capable of moving right now…
"Gods!" Who was that? "Are you alright?" Tilting my head my vision was filled with a woman. Simply dress with a handful of groceries. When was the last time I ate? Questions later body, ask for help now.
"Help-" And that was it. Unconsciousness followed.
Death was not so bad, at least you didn't have to deal with the impending ramifications of dealing with the boy you confessed to before dying. That was more scary… Oh right I'm still alive. Could I call him? Would he pick up? Where was I now?
"Haven't you seen the news! She had something to do with what happened at Haven!"
"I know… now. But she was injured. What was I supposed to do? Leave her?"
"Call the cops maybe." I wonder what they were fighting about. Opening my eye once again I felt the headache grow. I was in a bed, and from the sway of the room I was either on a boat or on one of the suspension bridges. The room was plain but in a "just moved in" way, not a "hey we're going to harvest your organs and we don't want you to know where we are if you escape" way. The dull throbbing in my body was still there but the incredible pain was gone. That meant painkillers, which meant my perception was going to be wacky. Without being able to feel pain I sat up and found the window.
The view was nice. A gentle little town built onto the suspension bridge, this was classic Mistral architecture. Which was where I was… not Beacon. Mistral. How did I get here? Stop asking so many questions and start finding answers. Giving a cursory check over my body I found plenty of bandages wrapped around the important bits but at least I wasn't naked with the brown cloak covering the rest of me. The window was what drew my attention as I watched the streets. All those people roaring through the street as if there wasn't a care in the world. I missed this. Then through the crowd I saw Jaune.
Heh, of course it wasn't him. I was hallucinating because of the painkillers. What were the chances he was in Mistral... wearing a new set of armor… that had a distinct bronze accent to it… Wouldn't I hallucinate him in his regular armor or uniform or the footie pajamas? Oh gods that's really him, "JAUNE!"
He may have heard me through the glass but he shook it off and began walking away. I rushed the window and threw it open like it was made of paper. If he wouldn't come to me I'd go to him. Jumping out of a second story building was child's play. I just needed to brace myself and use my arms- I only have one arm and the other is far to numb. Oh this was not good.
Crashing into the streets I fell HARD. But I wouldn't know for a few more minutes at least. Thank the gods for painkillers. I righted myself before coming face to face with several civilians as they gasped at what they just saw. Well it wasn't every day you see a presumed dead woman jump from a building and eat shit in the newly collapsed food stall, "Sorry!"
I couldn't falter, I had to rush. Which meant a lot of apologies on the way, "Excuse me! Sorry! Pardon me!"
I may have been causing a commotion in the streets but I didn't care. I wasn't dead and Jaune was right in front of me. I wanted at least a little to enjoy this hallucination. He turned around as I continued to cause a commotion behind him. His eyes lit up immediately. He sees me! I couldn't wait, "CINDER! Everyone get away!"
"What! Where?" Why did she have to show up now? I was so close. So very close. And if she was here then- No I had to try maybe this time she'd roll over and die. My eyes darted to every corner of the immediate area as I searched for her. Jaune was rushing to my side, that was good we could fight together. I even looked up but she was nowhere to be seen. I was panicking until I was hit by a train. Jaune had rammed me.
WHY?
"I thought we'd seen the last of you!" Rolling back to my feet I looked him up and down. Focus, Cinder's around and he attacked you. It made no sense, I was L- don't worry about that now. He was standing defensive with his shield and sword up, not high enough but up. Crocea Mors had my crown embedded into it now. Oh that was nice. I shook my head drawing my attention to Cinder. She was there in a store. I was about to rush in when I raised my fist and she did the same.
Was she mocking me? Of course she was. That's what reflections do. Oh no. I rushed over to the glass and came face to face with my reflection. Well her reflection. The face of Cinder stared back at me. Why? What? How? Was her eye green originally?
I brought her hand to her face and gave it a little pinch. Nothing, oh no was this all a terrible nightmare where I couldn't feel- painkillers. Right painkiller induced hallucination. I was high and had run face first into a truck. I turned to look at the truck only to see Jaune rushing towards me. He swung high, I may have not trained him how to properly fight people more how to fight monsters.
"Why. Do. You. Keep. Coming. Back?" He said a word every time he swung Crocea Mors and I with a little gentle polarity redirected it slightly away. He didn't notice.
"This is the first time I came back. Please I need-"
"Need what, Power? The Relic? Revenge?" Every word he spit out would have hurt me if I cared about any of those.
"Jaune! I'm Pyrrha, not Cinder." He didn't even pause as he tried to slowly chop me in half. Was I really that bad of a teacher.
"Yeah right, and I'm Ozpin."
"No, you're Jaune Arc, the boy who cheated his way into Beacon." I mean he's not a Beacon right now… So does it matter. Oh wait that could hurt-
"Old news, Glynda kicked me out right after Beacon fell." He didn't stop swinging.
"Wait what? Jaune I'm so sor-"
"Now I'm here making sure you get stopped." Was his expulsion public knowledge. Is that why he doesn't believe me?
"Then. You promised to wear a dress if I didn't get a date to the dance."
"Everyone saw!"
"Uh, oh yeah. Even Cinder… Then we trained on the rooftop- Wait Cardin knew that. So there's little chance that didn't get out." Think what was something Cinder wouldn't know. Footie pajamas. No, that was day one everyone knew about that as well. First kiss- I hope she doesn't know about that. Nora, "Nora sometimes likes to 'accidentally forget to wear pajamas.' Especially when Ren is in a bad mood."
"What?" The slashes stopped. That wasn't something everyone knew, alright roll with it.
"Her favorite food is anything Ren makes. Even in spite of her energy one of her favorite hobbies is naps with Ren. And… wait is she in love. I hope Ren knows…" I mean… She has never deliberately said she likes him so… What are the chances she doesn't? Jaune had an inquisitive look but I knew I had him. Just keep going.
"Ren learned to cook for Nora but her rampant desire for sugar made him move into more of the diet food trends. He especially loves those green- algae- swamp juice smoothies." Jaune's eyes were wide, "You wanted to ask Weiss to the dance but when she went with Neptune you went alone. You have 7 sisters. They taught you how to dance, braid hair, and-"
"Pyrrha?" There was a second of recognition in his eyes as he knew it was truly and really me. Even if it was Cinder's body. He leaned in as he inspected my face before coming to look at my eye.
"Yes," I felt the tug of joy in the back of my throat as he recognized me.
"If you are Pyrrha, who was my first kiss?" Ah, I had no idea. This had never come up and I suspect there was a reason for it. I know he was my first kiss but I may not be his, what were the chances that I was his. He was after all a good leader, with great character, along with the confidence and body of… a noodle.
"It was me," I nearly gasped out as I was taken aback by new knowledge that we shared a first kiss. Did he like me back? Oh no I confessed then immediately died? Why was I in Cinder- Our lips met again. This time he pulled me in instead of the other way around. It felt just as good as the first time. Yet it was different. I was shorter than him, Cinder's body is shorter than him, and had to stand on my toes to reach but I would stand on a stepping stool if that's what it took. It felt like time was standing still just instead of a massive amount of destruction going on around us there were hundreds of eye witnesses. To Jaune… kissing... Cinder… in the middle of a street. When I heard the click of several cameras I broke it off and gazed into his eyes.
"How wanted is Cinder?" His eyes went wide at the implication.
Running from the police was the same as running from the paparazzi . The only difference was that instead of getting photos of the Invincible Girl they were firing bullets. The painkillers wore off halfway through but Jaune just picked me up and carried me like his bride. When did he get so much larger and stronger? Probably around the time I died.
We ran through every back street and took every staircase down we could before ending up on the lower levels. I had heard rumors of what they do to people on these levels. It was difficult to swallow my pride as a huntress and make my way to the less than reputable lower levels of Mistral. Jaune didn't know where we were going either, "Well I think we're safe for now…"
"You can put me down now…" I don't think he realized he was still carrying me.
"I know. Now what do we do? I mean how do we explain this to everyone." He didn't put me down.
"I guess it would be hard to explain one soul inhabiting the body of another," Jaune looked away as I murmured, "Wait, others?"
"Yeah, everyone's here. Team RWBY just reformed when Blake arrived. Ren and Nora are here along with Oscar."
"Ah yes Oscar… Oscar-"
"You've never met him."
"Sorry." I tried to cover the growing blush with the one hand I had left but Jaune just smiled as he looked at me. I didn't know what to do but I wanted to spend time with him. Even if it was just a little before we went to see the others. He however may have had a similar thought when we ended up at the seediest motel in all of Remnant. I gazed with a large eye while he had a similar look spread between two. I turned to him as if silently asking 'are we really going to do this?'
He looked down at me and had the same look. I could say no but sitting down and talking would be nice… just talking. I hope he knew we were just talking. But in what felt like the fastest exchange imaginable we were inside a room discovering the no doubt plenty of stains strewn about. Jaune set me down on the bed before asking, "How's that?"
"Yes I'm great!" I was about to struggle under the covers when the pain fully returned. With a grunt I knew that there was something wrong with Cinder's body. I would need to take it to a hospital where I would get asked questions that I can't answer. What's your blood type? Who's your next of kin? Are you the terrorist Cinder Fall? Jaune saw the discomfort and placed his hands over my stomach, "What-"
"My semblance. You once gave me a piece of your aura so I think it's only fair I give you some of mine back." With a golden glow spreading across my body I could feel the pain fading. The gold eventually mixed into green as it meshed with mine. I felt like I could pull Amity Coliseum out of the sky. Wait what happened after?
"Jaune… what happened… after I-" It was hard to squeak out as I was asking for painful memories.
"Well… how much time do you have?" I gave him the side eye.
"Hopefully forever." He told me all of it, every little Grimm detail. About Salem, the maidens, the relics and even Ozpin. I felt the tears in my eye well up as Jaune finished the tale along with the healing, "So I failed… My death was pointless…"
"No! You did everything you could. And more than that it gave Ruby enough time to come and do well… this to her." He motioned to the missing arm.
"But I didn't stop the fall of Beacon. I didn't stop Cinder, I did nothing-"
"If you did nothing then you wouldn't be here now. Ozpin said even in the face of death true heroes face it with courage. And that is what you did." He gently caressed my arm. I wanted to stop but dying then coming back had taken a lot out of me. What could I say to him? He was so much larger now than back then. He grew not just metaphorically either, his body was larger, more muscular and yet. As he took off the chest piece I could see it, the Pumpkin Pete hoodie. He was still the same underneath. I unknowingly placed my hand on his chest as I felt the hoodie.
"Am I still the Invincible Girl on the box?" I thought lowly of myself. Some sellout that took every endorsement she could get only to fail to actually stack up when it really mattered.
"No." The sharpness of the word hurt but he was right I- "Now you're just Pyrrha Nikos. The first person to believe in me." How did he manage to be that smooth? I've seen him in footie pajamas, I've seen him in a dress, hell I've seen him naked.
"The impact your presence has on my vagina without you even putting a hand on me is quite astonishing, impressive and a little disturbing."
"...wat…"
"Huh," and the blush went from being slight to having my face as bright as my hair used to be. Had I said that aloud? Oh no.
"Pyrrha…"
"I didn't say anything! You are a noodly little-" He kissed me again and this time it didn't feel as if the world was standing still it felt as if the world was on fire and I would gladly watch it burn for this. He broke it off for a second but I didn't want that so in the heat of the moment I grabbed the collar of his hoodie and pulled him back. He lost his balance and ended up on top of me. He caught himself landing his face right over mine.
"Sorry, I'll get-" Jaune tried to stop but I had died once already, I wanted to experience this moment at least once before the next time.
"Well I'm not sorry… Please keep going…"
Of course Raven beat me. She's 50 and has had the power of the maiden for gods know how long. Now I needed to dredge myself out of this cave and get back… to… the… where am I? What happened to Raven? And what is that feeling between my legs?
My eye shot open, unready to get up, I was expecting knives and tears as the pain set in. All I saw was the warm light of a gentle fall morning leaking through the window. I felt warm, not a burning sensation but a nice cozy lovely feeling. Like I was some common girl getting out of bed in the morning. I hated it, "Wait, bed?"
I looked down and found myself hidden under some ratty covers. No doubt Emerald's doing, find the cheapest place that doesn't ask questions. That sounds like her. But as I sat up the covers came down and my nudity became apparent. Oh lord did Emerald- "Pyrrha. What's wrong?"
My neck nearly snapped as it immediately fixed on the newly awoken figure right next to me. The blonde boy that tried to chop my head off less than a few hours ago. He sat up and his nudity became apparent as well, "You have a nightmare? Do we need-"
"Welp now I need to kill him."
"What! No! Don't!"
"I've never listened to you before now, conscience. Don't expect me to after I've been raped." Very painfully my left arm grew back, "I hate that part."
"Pyrrha..?"
"I'm not your dead girlfriend." I picked him up with my left arm intent on strangling the life out of him.
"Stop it you're killing him!"
"That's the point. It's not like he's a real person. He's a rapist! If anything I'm doing the world a favor." A perfectly reasonable argument I think.
"No, I consented. He didn't ra- wait a minute. Cinder?"
"Yes, conscience. I wasn't conscious and somehow managed to wake in a strange man's bed with no recollection on how it happened. Sounds like consent to me!" It was easy to strangle him but as I did the voice in my head wouldn't shut up. For once I thought it would be on my side about the murder of evil. But no, I had to hate myself internally. Then I felt as if I left my body.
"You are not killing him like you killed me!"
"I haven't killed you, conscience. I just refuse to feed you." I may not be in the best mental state but even I know I haven't killed my conscience just repressed it extensively. So why was it talking to me. Why did I just drop the boy? Why is my arm receding?
"I'm not going to let you kill him!" My conscience spoke in a very annoying preachy tone. I am beginning to think consciences aren't supposed to do this sort of thing.
"Pyrrha! What's wrong?" Why did that boy just call me Pyrrha… Oh gods dammit.
"She's still in here!" My voice sounded less unbelievably sexy and had a more shrill tone that made me think it was someone else. That did not bode well. Wait how did she stuff me in the back seat as if I was nothing.
"Pyrrha. It's okay we can deal with her together." His face was warm as it got closer to mine.
"Don't do it you bitch!" She ignored me as his face collided with mine. Great my first kiss and it was not only stolen by this oaf but someone else was in the driver seat during it.
"Are you not my conscience?"
"No!"
"Don't say it!"
"I'm Pyrrha Nikos!"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I WILL LITERALLY TAKE ANYONE ELSE!"
"Don't worry Jaune already took me!" If I was in control of the face muscles they may have lit up a little. I couldn't let on that I was a maiden up until now.
"Kill yourself!"
"That would just kill both of us!"
"Shut up and get out of my body!"
"No. You killed me now I get you're body. I think that's fair."
"You know that the moment I regain control of my body I will kill everyone you love right."
"Not if you value life."
"I really don't." Cinder was still in my head even if she wasn't dominant she was still able to kill if given the chance. Jaune led me to a large house? Hotel? Box. It was a large box that they were all currently bunking out of.
"Alright this is it. Now they will probably be angry and I'll have to explain but everything should be fine." He said it with such a false confidence that made Pyrrha used to find distressing. Now she found it incredibly adorable.
"I can't believe you slept with this idiot."
"Shut up!"
"Make me." No matter how much I wanted to I really couldn't. Jaune walked up and knocked on the door, "Does he not have a key? I must restate there are better options."
"Name one!" There was a pause that made me glad but I was ultimately terrified of Cinder's answer.
"Neo." The way Cinder mentioned the little girl made Pyrrha happy because that mean she's could literally not think of any better options. But the inner dialogue distracted me long enough for the doors to fling open to the presence of several people.
"Jaune!" They all shouted in unison before breaking off and asking questions individually.
"What does this guy have a harem?"
"Where have you been?" Weiss asked all hoity toity.
"I stabbed her, how is she alive?"
"You're bad at killing people."
"We saw a picture of you with Cinder on the news!" Yang inquired as she looked like she was ready for a fight.
"Why does she care? Shouldn't she be more focused on I don't know... The fact her mother doesn't love her."
"Do you just get off on being mean?"
"Yes."
"I found a picture of you making out with Cinder on a conspiracy website!" Nora inquired as she showed several photos from the day before.
"What did you do?"
"I had sex with him in your body."
"AAAAHHHHH!"
"Who is that?" Ruby asked as she pointed at me and I knew this was a bad idea.
"Look I know you're all goody two shoes and all, but I will literally give you absolute control of my body if you kill her right now. No questions asked." Cinder gave the least tempting offer she could have.
"Uh, well don't get mad..." He held his arms out as if to keep them in place.
"No." Ruby said as she glared him down having already figure out who I looked like.
"It's hard to explain."
"Ms. Nikos how wonderful to see you alive again. That doesn't usually happen... But I'm glad for this exception." I turned around expecting to see Ozpin in all his coffee drinking, cane wielding, probably a super villain glory. What I found when I turned was nothing at eye level, and a small child at chest level.
"So that's the new Oz... I honestly thought they abducted a child like Oz would have."
"Then who did you think Ozpin was?"
"Blondie. It would explain how he got into Beacon."
"I don't think Yang and Ozpin are compatible..."
"Ah she's still in there isn't she?" He asked in such a reassuring tone that made her agree that he was Ozpin.
"Yes... Do you know how this is happening?"
"Well, it is a tale as old as time. For now I think we should all go inside and get out of this dreadful weather." His voice was as calming as ever even though it was filtered through the prepubescence of a child. When I entered all eyes in the room turned towards me as they reached for their weapons preparing for a battle.
"Absolute control of my body if you just stab the child."
"Hello again." I raised my hand in a little wave but all eyes remained still while all weapons remained in hand. Ozpin motioned me to the center of the couch... in between Ren and Qrow. How did I know who Qrow was, I had seen him when Ozpin offered me the maiden power but he never officially introduced himself. I walked over but as I arrived I tripped suddenly and barely nudged the coffee table ever so gently nearly knocking over Qrow's tea, "Sorry."
"Smooth."
"Pyrrha?" Ren looked me dead in the eye. His gaze was neither warm nor cold more confused.
"Yes..." I had the look of a child that was being asked a question the parent already knew the answer to.
"When is Jaune's Birthday?"
"That came out of left field. Does he expect you to remember who this Jaune is?"
"I honestly can't tell if it is apathy or general stupidity that makes you like this," I thought before giving my answer, "April 1st, because he's a joke."
"Hey, that's not nice! He may be a screw up and generally unskilled but that doesn't mean you can just make fun of him like that!" Surprisingly it was Weiss that came to his rescue. Ren however didn't even flinch when he asked.
"Jaune when's your birthday?"
"April 1st because I'm a joke."
"How?"
"How what?"
"How was he able to bed you?"
"He bed us... and he was the first person that saw me for me." Weiss still didn't believe even through several layers of suspicion.
"Well he could just be saying that because you brain washed him," Does sex count as brainwashing? "Alright what did I want to talk to Pyrrha about on the first day?"
"The first day..." I don't remember... I'm not actually sure I talked to her on the first day. There was a lot of white noise then I met Jaune and he didn't know who I was. Then I pinned him to the wall... Then a tree.
"Do you not remember this one?"
"Shut up, I'm thinking."
"Ha, Invincible girl isn't so perfect now," Then I was suddenly out of the driver seat, Cinder kicked me into the back of her mind, "Well you sung my praise and wanted me to join your team as you were so full of yourself."
"Pyrrha?"
"Wha-" I managed to wrestle control back before Cinder could take it too far. I shuttered as I finally got into the middle seat. Qrow looked me over and asked a question.
"Why not Amber?"
"Well souls are a tricky thing. A little interference and instead of the previous maiden you get the soul of a third party," Little Ozpin explained as he sat in the nice single chair, "I cannot count the number of times I've had more than one soul in my heads."
"So this is Pyrrha." Ruby asked as she motioned to me.
"I believe so, either that or Cinder somehow learned all these facts about you in the span of 2 days."
"And what if she did?" Yang inquired from a standing position ready to jump into a fight at any given second.
"Then she must have magically learned how to change her eye color as well." Then all the eyes in the room locked onto the one eye I still had.
"What does he mean I can magically change the color of my eye? That power sounds useless."
"Hello again."
"PYRRHA!" They all jumped over each other as they clambered for a hug. With the addition weight and force of several people crashing into it the couch flipped backwards onto its back.
"Please stop, Cinder's ribs aren't as strong as mine were." I croaked out from under the pile.
"Never! I'm never letting my friends go again!" Nora cried out from the top of the pile as she lifted the entire couch up.
"Nora! Be careful I don't think this furniture is as strong as Beac-"
*CRACK*
Pause as several eyes met. Nora gently tried to set the couch down. It didn't work when the couch shattered and everyone was left in a pile of torn up pillows and splinters. But there was not a shout as everyone had a worried look.
"PFFFTPT! AHAHAHAHAHHA" I was the first one to laugh but everyone followed quickly after. I was not only alive and laughing I was surrounded by my friends. And for the first time today there was silence in my head.
"Nothing to add?"
"No I'm just plotting all of their deaths in my head..."
"I'm sure you are." None of us got up for a moment before Qrow tapped out from under the pile.
"AAAAHHHH! LET ME OUT OF HERE!"
"Sorry!" Everything was happy as we climbed out of the pile. Jaune offered me his hand pulling me up.
"Didn't see you in the pile Jaune. What gives? I thought you missed her the most vomit boy?" Yang chastised... Why did she have a metal hand?
"I, uh, already got my hug." He blushed, I blushed she wiggled her eyebrows as she wanted the info.
"Oh hug eh. Well don't leave any details out." I shouldn't rise to her provocations but I also shouldn't falter.
"Call her a slut."
"Oh yes, Yang. We had hot and steamy sex in a club bathroom. Truth is I'm pregnant with his child."
"Fine, don't tell." Yang sighed as she turned away.
"I wouldn't joke about those things around Qrow especially," Little Ozpin interjected, "Raven made those same jokes when she was younger. The last time was only 18 years ago." Yang's eyes shot wide at the implication. Mine did the same as I realized what wasn't used last night.
"I swear to the Gods if you got me pregnant-"
"You will love and care for the child?"
"No." Little Ozpin noticed the pause in me.
"The good news is for now you're back... the bad news is, well, more difficult," Everyone turned to him as they heard it, "I created the maidens years ago by donating my magic to several young girls. That part was intentional... what came next was an accident. They inherited my curse, my reincarnations."
"So you're telling me that the maidens are 4 reincarnation machines running around." Weiss asked confused.
"No... The power transfers easier and more visibly than I do. And usually souls don't attach themselves to the power, still it has happened," So you hijacked a ride into my body. That's so unlike you to not just die right away, "The problem stems from the rest of the curse." He paused to sip from his mug. It felt like hours, did he just not want to tell us or was he just being a little prick. Wait, what?
"Your souls will eventually merge together as one."
"What!"
"Hey go kill yourself so I don't have to be nice!"
Please like, comment, and subscribe. Or you know don't you have free will and I don't control you so whatever.
And Chapter 1 Done. I got this idea from Salem walking up to Ozpin in volume 8 and pausing before she snaps. Then I remembered the maidens are practically part Ozpin. So 1 Plus 1 equals story idea. I also have seen very few stories about this.
