Ghislaine Dedoldia

Unknown - Time unknown

Ghislaine groaned as she clutched her pounding head. The sounds of running water and birds chirping resonated all around her. As the pain faded away, her crimson eye flickered open to the sight of a beautiful, albeit unfamiliar forest.

She was instantly on her feet in the next second, after years of being an adventurer and one of the best ones at that. She could tell that this wasn't a forest you wanted to take a simple stroll through. There was plenty of animals that would see her as lunch. She couldn't see any of them, but she had been born as a beast-woman, so she could definitely smell them lurking.

Her mind began to wander as she stood there in the clearing, staring at her reflection in the stream.

She had gotten looks from both sexes when she walked by, not that her outfit helped any with that. All she wore on a day-to-day basis was her black jacket, a pair of olive or brown pants that rested comfortably on her hips. She didn't even bother with a shirt because she'd die of heat in one. So she opted to wear a simple red and black covering over her chest, it did little to cover her breasts, but it was much more comfortable.

Many had thought that she was a promiscuous woman with how she dressed. Not that she cared what they thought, though they were dead wrong. She wouldn't just sleep with any man. She had self-respect. Hell, she hadn't even slept with Paul, regardless of what he said.

Ghislaine shook her head to rid herself of those useless thoughts. Thinking about what people thought was stupid. She decided to use the time she was given to think about her current circumstance and how she had ended up here.

Rudeus had taken her and Eris out of Roa to show them his Saint-level water magic. Initially, she was stunned by his abilities, per usual. Rudeus was an amazingly gifted child. Though, after a couple of minutes, she had begun to worry for their safety. The amount of mana that had built up dwarfed even her mana reserves. The sky was a myriad of colors before a beam of blue light shot down and enveloped everything.

One thing she noticed before the blue beam of light surrounded her and everything turned black. Was that the "harmless" red orb Rudeus had asked about was gone.

"Harmless my ass," she remarked bitterly. That red orb is definitely involved somehow with what happened.

Then there was the masked man, Almanfi, who had snuck up on the three of them. That person was dangerous. There was no doubt about that. They had not only managed to sneak up on her but, then they dodged one of her fastest attacks with ease. The man had even blinked away in a flash of white light before that calamity hit.

Ghislaine ground her teeth against each other in frustration as she continued thinking. Had she grown too relaxed during her stay in Roa? As she paced back and forth, she chewed on her nails as she thought of Rudeus and Eris. She was responsible for their wellbeing, but she had no clue where they were.

Inhaling a deep breath, Ghislaine calmed her beating heart. Panicking here wouldn't help. Rudeus would be able to take care of Eris and himself. She had faith in him. For now, she needed to take care of herself and find out where she was. She looked for the tallest tree around her, one that broke through the canopy. If she could find a settlement, they could tell her where she was.

Just as she was about to sheath her sword and climb up the tallest tree close to her, Ghislaine heard a loud familiar-sounding scream echo throughout the forest. Hilda-sama?!

Then the smell of blood hit her, human blood. Ghislaine didn't hesitate to get on all fours and run at full speed. If she could smell it, so could all the other predators around her. As she closed in on the scent, the smell of wet fur and human blood permeated the air.

Ghislaine picked up her pace until she was a mere blur to the untrained eye as she quickly made her way through the winding forest. Hilda wasn't a fighter, and if something got their hands on her. She'd die.

In a few seconds, she found herself at the mouth of a rather large cave. There was torn clothing and blood, signs of a fight. Though the torn cloth looked like a shirt, Philip wore.

Her ears perked up as she heard someone shouting deep in the cave, followed by a yelp of pain. Without any hesitation in her stride, Ghislaine rushed into the cave. Her lone eye easily adjusted to the dark nature of the cave.

As she ran around a winding turn, Ghislaine was in awe. She had found herself in a massive cavern. Stalactites and stalagmites lined the roof and floor of the cavern as water dripped down from the ceiling. Though she found something odd about the place.

There were stone fireplaces every couple feet or so that looked like they had been built ages ago. Even though they looked aged and worn from erosion, some were even destroyed. Even so, Ghislaine could still see the intricate designs on them. Something even stranger was the blue flame that still burned on some of the fireplaces. She'd never seen blue fire before, and it intrigued her.

Then there were the blackened surfaces all over the place. As if someone or something had been launching fire spells all around. Ghislaine shuddered to imagine the agony of being hit by that blue fire. Even though the closest fireplace was twenty or so odd feet away, she could feel the intense heat that radiated from it.

Though she wasn't here for some sightseeing. Ghislaine quickly filed those thoughts away for later as she rushed down the stairway beside her. Her mind was solely focused on finding Philip and Hilda as she ran into the cavern.

It wasn't long until she found the two of them, along with a nasty, furry friend. Hilda was standing behind Philip, whose upper body was riddled with wounds, doing his best to fend off a massive bear with only a knife. The bear was one of the largest animals she'd ever seen.

Unsheathing her katana, Ghislaine cut the beast into multiple pieces, showering the ground with blood, guts, bones, and hide.

"I don't think I've ever been happier to see you, Ghislaine," Philip said with a strained smile on his bloodied face as she sheathed her katana.

Not sure how to respond, Ghislaine just nodded her head. She was just glad she had managed to get to them in time. Eris would be devastated if they died.

"Let's put some bandages on those cuts, dear," Hilda said as she ripped off parts of her dress.

They had moved away from the gore that resided on the floor as both she and Hilda wrapped the makeshift bandages on Philips's wounds.

"Have you seen Rudeus or Eris?" Hilda asked as she adjusted the bandage on her Husband's back.

Ghislaine could see the fear in the woman's eyes, and even Philip was staring at her quite intensely.

"No, you and Philip-sama are the first people I've come across," she answered quietly.

Sorrow and worry was evident on their faces as Ghislaine lowered her head. She was responsible for their protection and welfare, yet here she was. With not a clue of where either Rudeus or Eris were. If they were injured or safe. If they were together or separated. She lowered her head in shame.

"It's not your fault, Ghislaine. No one could've seen this coming," Philip said while shaking his head.

"He's right, don't be too harsh on yourself. We should just get back to Roa and find out what happened," Hilda said while helping her Husband off of the ground.

A rare smile graced Ghislaine's face as she bowed her head to Philip and Hilda. Besides the Greyrat's abnormal... fascination with beast-people. She could tell that they were genuinely good people, despite there being some bad apples.

Her smile quickly faded away as her body froze. Every instinct in her body screamed out to her to move. But she remained frozen in place as a bead of sweat dripped down her brow. What she had thought to be a series of boulders cracked as something pushed itself out of the earth that had encased it and let out a mighty roar. A four-legged, grey dragon emerged from the cavern's floor.

Ghislaine stood frozen in shock and awe as she laid her eyes upon the rare, mythical creature. She had seen them before, though they were high above the sky. Not right in front of her. She let out a gasp as the Dragon opened its eyes. Blazing yellow eyes that brimmed with intelligence she hadn't expected gazed upon her.

The Dragon stepped away from them as it shook its massive body. Dust and rubble fell from its body, revealing dazzling, midnight black scales. The way the blue flames radiated off of its black scales was nothing short of breathtaking.

Suddenly, the Dragon let out a snarl as the heat in the room increased even more.

Finally getting ahold of herself, Ghislaine grabbed both Hilda and Philip. She ran to the opposite side of the cavern to avoid both the Dragon and the rising heat. The blue flames in the fireplaces acted spontaneously as if being beckoned by something... or someone.

Ghislaine yanked Eris' parents down as a wave of blue flame rushed over them. The sheer heat from the blue wave made the oxygen almost unbreathable. She pushed herself into the ground as much as possible to escape said heat.

Relief washed over her as the heat faded away. Ghislaine breathed in gulps of fresh air as she laid on the stone. Her heart was rushing as the room dropped in temperature. Then suddenly, a voice was heard throughout the cavern.

"Ahh, it's good to be back," said the unknown voice with an enthusiastic tone.

Peeking her head over the cave wall. A lone, tall, rather handsome redheaded man was doing stretches amidst the blackened cave. There was a carefree look on his face regardless of the snarling Dragon in front of him.

'Really?' Ghislaine thought as she sweatdropped.

An ear-splitting roar erupted from the Dragon as it opened its maw to bathe the Redhead in flames.

"Now, there's no need to be like that after so long," the Redhead said as he snapped his fingers. A sudden, powerful gust of wind sent the Dragon reeling into the cave wall.

Ghislaine yanked the eyepatch off of her right eye, and her jaw dropped. The amount of mana this man possessed was staggering. There was no way any "normal" man could possibly have that much mana. Add to the fact that he had snapped his fingers, and a wind blow sent the Dragon reeling.

"Come on, where's the rest of them?" the unknown man said with a pout as he looked around.

Seeing that the man had taken his eyes off of the colossal beast. The Dragon had opened its maw once more, and this time it managed to shower the man in orange flames.

"Well, so much for his bravado," Philip said with a sweatdrop of his own.

Blue flames suddenly erupted from where the man stood as it clashed against the Dragon's orange flames. If she wasn't so worried about the heat circulating in the cave. She'd be astonished by the spectacle before her.

One thing that worried Ghislaine was the look in the mythical beast's eyes as their fire continued clashing. It was something akin to fear, the last thing she expected from a mythical creature such as itself. That's when she saw the grin on the unknown man's face. He's enjoying this.

The flames from both Dragon and Man ceased, and that's when something even more mind-boggling happened.

As a Sword King, she had traveled across many a continent. She thought she had seen just about everything. To see someone punch a living, fire-breathing Dragon in the face was something she had never, never expected to see.

Broken teeth and blood poured from the Dragon's mouth as it let out a low whine and backed away from the man.

"What's wrong with you, old friend, tired of playing already?" asked the Godlike Redhead as he paced towards the Dragon but stopped just a few feet away. "Tell you what, you overgrown lizard. I'll let you go if you tell Orsted I'm coming for him,"

For once in the entire battle, the man had a cold, calculating look on his face. Rage was burning in those deep Violet orbs of his as he glared at, as he so aptly put it, overgrown lizard. What kind of madman calls a Dragon an overgrown lizard?!

The Midnight black Dragon rushed out of the cavern as the madlad let out a laugh.

"You three can come out now," the man said as he turned around and looked directly at them.

"Well, fuck," Philip said, perfectly summarizing how she felt at the moment.

Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto rubbed his chin as the two humans and beast-woman came out from behind the stalagmite wall.

'Oh, that one's a hottie,' he thought as the beast-woman came into view.

Her complexion was a delicious light chocolate with dull-white hair that cascaded down her back. Though Naruto's attention was focused on the melons that were her chest. They have to be at least double d's.

Her physique was one fitting for a warrior, though she still retained her feminine look. He was licking his lips when he got to her legs, kami her legs were fantastic, the perfect mixture of muscle and thickness. He was dying to see her ass.

"You can stop ogling me now," the beast-woman said with a flat tone. How cold!

Naruto just shrugged as he shot a smile her way along with a wink.

"So, who're you?" asked the man who had bandages wrapped around his chest.

"Depends on who's asking," he replied as he looked at the man. The man's mana reserves were average for someone who'd never used magic in their life. He didn't look like much of a fighter either.

"Philip Boreas Greyrat, mayor of the city of Roa." the now-named Philip said as he did what Naruto guessed was a formal greeting.

"I don't think Roa was around back then, ah whatever. What're your name's beauties," he said with a grin, though it was more directed at the beast-woman.

"Hilda Boreas Greyrat," Hilda replied with a scowl on her face.

"Ghislaine Dedoldia," Ghislaine said with the same flat tone.

That was something he recognized. The Dedoldia's were around back before he got sealed. The smile left his face as he thought back to his sealing. The Uzumaki's must have lost.

He hoped there were still some Uzumaki's out there. The war that had raged back then was nothing short of unneeded carnage and bloodshed, just like all wars. And it was all for what?

Two gods had taken favor to his clan, granting them longevity, various skills, and abilities. They had soon become the best fighters on all of the continents, though they were warmongers. He knew that for a fact because he was granted the title, God, by one of his Gods. His mother, Kushina, was the other Uzumaki who was given the title, God. Fitting since they were both the strongest in their clan.

'I hope she's alright. I can't sense where she is,' thought Naruto worriedly.

Kushina was his mother, so it was natural for him to be worried. She meant more than that to him than just family. Uzumaki's had always been strange and had never ceased to do what they wanted. So incest wasn't uncommon amongst his clan at all. With their long lives, why would they hurt themselves marrying someone who'd die hundreds of years before they did?

In Naruto's case, he'd outlive them all, so he didn't seek relationships with mortals all that much, neither did his mother. They had always been close, even more so after the death of his Father. But after a thousand years of relying solely upon each other, feelings were bound to spring forth. The line between mother and son was soon crossed, and their relationship went from family to soulmates.

The bond between them was forged by their respective gods. He always knew where she was, and it was the same for him. They could even communicate telepathically.

That was the thing that worried Naruto the most. He didn't know where Kushina was. If she was safe, being held captive, or dead. The last possibility scared him the most. Should that be true, he'd find who was responsible and burn them alive for eternity.

For now, he'd join these three. If they let him. And try to get some information to aid him in his coming journey to find Kushina.

"The name's Naruto Uzumaki," he greeted as he nodded his head at the three of them.

"Uzumaki? I think I've read about them somewhere," Philip said as he rubbed his chin.

"I wouldn't worry too much about it. So what brings a beast-woman and two Nobles to a tomb?" he asked curiously.

"A tomb?" Hilda asked as she looked around.

"Well, who knows how many people I killed while they sealed me away," he said as he looked around the cave. It looked so much different back then.

Naruto just stared at Ghislaine impassively as she ran in front of the two and held her katana out. Beads of sweat ran down her face as he looked her in the eyes. Even she knew that he'd destroy her.

"I'm not looking for a fight," he began as he held his hands up. "I just need some help with a couple of things, if you don't mind."

"Could we discuss this outside?" Hilda asked as she pinched her nose.

Night had soon fallen upon the forest, and Naruto found himself staring into the night sky. The stars were just as stunning as they were before. Whenever he was worried, he'd stare at the gems that shone brightly in the heavens.

Now, after Naruto had been unsealed for a couple of hours. He could feel the loneliness seeping in. There wasn't a doubt in his mind that his clan had lost the war. That all of his kin had been killed or sold off. He was supposed to be their guardian, their stalwart shield. Yet he had failed them all.

"So, where are you from?" Ghislaine said suddenly, snapping him out of his thoughts.

Naruto tore his eyes off of the stars above and looked across the campfire at the beautiful beast-woman.

"What made you take a sudden interest in me?" he asked as he locked eyes with Ghislaine. She didn't seem like someone who'd ever be interested in learning about someone else.

"Who wouldn't be interested in someone who might hold a God title?"

"What makes you think that that's my title?"

"You toyed around with a fully grown Dragon as if it was some Goblin,"

Naruto laughed a little bit at that as a small smile formed on his face. It felt nice to banter with someone again. Though, she had a point. Not many people could do what he did, and he was missing more than half of his power.

"I'm from an Island off of the west coast of the Demon Continent. Back then, it was called Uzushiogakure. Crystal clear seawater, white beaches, it was beautiful. My clan, the Uzumaki clan, lived there peacefully for thousands of years. Then the war came," he said with a grimace on his face.

"It sounds like such a nice place. Why would anyone want to fight your clan if you were peaceful?" Ghislaine asked. Embers from the fire crackled as a gust of wind carried them into the sky.

Memories came flooding back to Naruto. Of him incinerating thousands of people with his azure flames. His ability to control the wind killed even more people. People of his time regarded him as hell incarnate.

They weren't wrong.

"They were afraid of my clan and our gifts," answered Naruto, summoning his blue flames in both hands.

"Did everyone in your clan have blue flames like yours?" Ghislaine asked, staring at the blue balls of hellfire.

"No, this was granted to me by a God," Naruto said as he dispersed his blue flames.

His blue inferno was a blessing granted to him by his God. With these flames, he had incinerated thousands of beings from existence, not that he wanted to. While he enjoyed a good fight. If he had a choice, he'd rather not fight at all.

"I knew you were ranked God," Ghislaine said. A rare smile graced her face as she looked at Naruto.

"Wow, so there is a brain in there. I was positive you were just a meathead," Naruto replied with a cocky smile.

Naruto swiftly ducked as a rock flew over his head. He laughed as quietly as he could because of the look on Ghislaine's face. She didn't look too pleased that he insinuated that she was a meathead.

"I'm not as dumb as people think," Ghislaine said with a scowl on her face.

"Sorry, I was just joking... kind of," Naruto said as he dodged another three rocks.

"You're an ass,"

"You've got an ass,"

Ghislaine just looked at him with her singular crimson eye, as if she was criticizing him.

"I thought you mentioned that you have a soulmate when we were leaving the cave?" Ghislaine said with a straight face.

"She's fine with me sleeping around, as long as she remains number one," Naruto replied with a shrug.

Ghislaine was quiet for a moment before she spoke again.

"So does she sleep around with other people like you?" Ghislaine asked with a thoughtful look on her face.

Naruto looked at Ghislaine with dangerously cold violet eyes. His hands twitched as he felt the urge to snap someone's neck. Taking in a deep breath, Naruto closed his eyes as he calmed himself.

Kushina was his and no one else's. No bastard would ever defile her with their filth. Because if she didn't kill them, he'd fucking murder them. He had to have inherited his possessiveness from someone. It just so happened to be that he was her son. She loved to spoil him with anything and everything.

"No, she doesn't, and she never will," Naruto declared with utmost certainty.

"To each, their own, I suppose," Ghislaine said with a shrug.

An awkward silence overtook them after that as Naruto laid on the ground of the forest. Ghislaine was sneaking a look at him every now and then, or so she thought.

"Oh, I have a favor to ask. If you don't mind?" Naruto said as he sat back up quickly.

"If it has anything to do with my body. I refuse," Ghislaine said with an emotionless face.

"No, nothing like that. What kind of man do you think I am?" Naruto said while feigning shock.

The look on her face told him all he needed to know. She wasn't convinced in the slightest. Naruto had to suppress the grin from coming onto his face.

"I was just wondering if you could tell me about all the history I missed out on?" Naruto asked with genuine eagerness.

Despite all the bad things that happened, Naruto still wanted to learn about what transpired after his sealing. He could still hear his mother droning on about how history was important. Like always, she was right, and she knew it.

Kami, he missed her. He could still see that smile on her gorgeous face that never ceased to make his heart skip a beat. Hear her contagious, melodic laughter. Deep down in his heart, he could still feel that she was alive. He was going to find her, no matter how long it took.

That was the promise of a lifetime.

Naruto was brought out of his musings by Ghislaine's soft laughter.

"What're you laughing about?" he asked.

"I just never thought I'd be teaching anyone anything besides sword-play. I guess those lessons by Rudeus are coming in handy sooner than later," Ghislaine said as she returned his smile.

"Well, before we start the lesson," Naruto began as a mischievous smile crept onto his face. "I excel when my teacher works with me hands-on,"

"I knew you were going to say something, bastard," Ghislaine said with a smile as she shook her head.

Authors Note

Just figured I'd put this in here before someone commented on it. Ghislaine probably won't sound or act like she does in canon. Sorry if that bothers you. This story is going to contain Uzumakicest, eventually.

Regarding Naruto's abilities, he basically has crazy wind manipulation, along with Dabi's blue flames from MHA.

If there are any discrepancies in the story. Regarding lore, etc. I basically wrote this on a whim. I saw Ghislaine, and I just had to write this.

I'll delve more into Naruto's and Kushina's lore in the upcoming chapters.

Anyhow hope y'all enjoyed it.
