TINKERBELL'S MAGICAL ADVENTURE
CHAPTER ONE: THE ADVENTURE BEGINS
In the magical forest called Pixie Hollow lived an adventurous fairy named Tinkerbell. She loved adventure and stopped at nothing to have one. She and her friends had already been through many adventures. This time, Tinkerbell wanted to have an adventure by herself. She had met a human girl on her first adventure but it was a short-lived friendship. Tinkerbell was in her home packing her things for her trip. She knew that Queen Clarion would not allow her to go to the Human world and that was because the queen did not want any Humans knowing about fairies, mostly because she feared that they would hurt fairies if they knew about them or would try to use their magic for bad reasons.
Once her things were packed, Tinkerbell waited for night to fall so she could fly off without being noticed. When the sky was dark, the little fairy flew toward the nearest Human city: New York. She loved all of the skyscrapers and cars and everything to do with Humans. "Oh, wow!" she gasped when she reached a large park in the center of the city. "I love this place!" She flew around, gazing at the passing cars and the large buildings. She stopped, after a while, and landed on a street lamp to rest and slept the rest of the night.
The next morning, Tinkerbell flew around the city hoping to see some Humans. She found a whole bunch talking but she knew that they would probably just swat her away as if she were a fly or something, so she left them alone. She flew some more and hovered in front of a school. There were a bunch of children in there and she smiled. The last Human she met was a child. She heard the loud ringing of a bell and the main doors opened as the children ran out cheering. Tinkerbell dodged the children as they sprinted out of the building toward their parents' cars or to their bicycles. One child accidentally smacked her with her bag. "WHOA!" Tinkerbell yelled as she fell to the ground. "Ow!" She tried to fly but one of her wings was bent at a strange angle and it hurt to move it. "Oh, no! My wing's broken!"
"Whoa!" said a soft voice from above her. Tinkerbell looked up and saw a little girl standing over her. Tinkerbell, scared, started to back away. "Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you." The girl gently picked Tinkerbell up and held her in her hand. "Here. I'll take you home." Tinkerbell sighed and sat down in the girl's hand as she walked down the street. "You're a fairy, aren't you?" Tinkerbell nodded, though she knew that she was breaking one of the laws of Pixie Hollow: never reveal that fairies exist. "My name's Molly. What's yours?"
"I'm Tinkerbell," said Tinkerbell timidly. "It's nice to meet you and, thank you. I think I broke my wing."
"Yeah, that was my fault," said Molly sadly. "I didn't mean to. I was so excited to go home and accidentally hit you with my bag. I'm sorry."
"Don't worry about it," said Tinkerbell. "I know you didn't mean to. My wing will heal after a while, but I won't be able to fly until it heals." She shivered at a bad thought. "I just hope Hook doesn't know I'm in New York. If he found out, things will be bad."
"Wait." Molly said as she walked. "Are you talking about Captain Hook from that story called Peter Pan?"
"There's a story about him?" Tinkerbell asked in awe. "No, not the story. Captain Hook is a very evil man, though. A few months ago, I was on an adventure with a new fairy in our land called Prilla. She was so heartbroken about not fitting in that she wanted to go to the creator of a powerful egg named Mother Dove. The egg prevents everyone in Neverland from growing old. Well, a hurricane hit the land and the egg was broken which meant that everyone in Neverland and surrounding areas grew older, even Captain Hook. Hook was so upset that he wanted to find a way to restore the egg. Unfortunately, a couple of men took something of his to someone to restore the egg themselves. After that, Hook met Peter Pan and they've been fighting ever since then. The last time I was with Peter, Hook tried to kidnap me."
"How can I protect you from Hook?" Molly asked. "Is there some way that I can?"
"I'm not sure." Tinkerbell admitted. "The only safe place for me is Pixie Hollow, which is where we fairies live. No, I can't take you there. Queen Clarion would flip if I brought a human into our land." Molly sighed sadly. "Look, Molly, I don't mind staying at your house until my wing heals, but I want you to promise me that if Hook comes after me, you stay out of the way. I don't want anything to happen to you."
"I promise." Molly said solemnly. "I won't do anything to put myself in danger."
"Good." Tinkerbell said with a smile. "I need to rest. My wing is starting to hurt pretty badly and I need some sleep." The two went to Molly's house and Tinkerbell, once a bed was made for her, fell asleep instantly."
