Things were different, Percy realized. The change was obvious. The shift in the whole camps attitude. The shroud of worry and dreadfulness that seemed to loom over Camp Half-Blood like a dark cloud was gone. Now that Kronos was defeated and the war was over, campers couldn't be more happier.
His eyes went to the shore, where he saw one of his best friends, Grover, with his girlfriend Juniper, holding hands as they walked down the shore and talked.
This was paradise. Everything was finally over. Now, he could focus on being an actual teenager. Percy loved camp Half-Blood but he knew that he wanted to go back to school. He wanted to see his mom and Paul, he wanted to be with his family.
He thought about what had happened earlier, up on Mount Olympus. How he had turned down immortality. It was hard to say no to something as eternal as immortality, but he knew that he wanted to be with his family, with his friends, with-
"Hey," Annabeth said, sliding next to him on the bench. She was holding what looked like a brown brick with blue cement sliding down the sides. "Happy birthday, Jackson."
Percy gave her a confused look. "What?"
She moved a stray blond curl behind her ear with her free hand. "It's August eighteenth. You're birthday, right?"
Percy was surprised. With everything that had happened, he had completely forgot that today was his birthday. He realized that the prophecy had come true right on time.
"Make a wish, Percy," She said.
"Did you bake this yourself?" He asked.
"Tyson helped."
"That explains why it looks like a chocolate brick," He said smirking. "With extra blue cement."
Annabeth laughed, and it was a nice sound.
Percy blew out the candle, and they shared the cupcake, eating with their fingers.
Annabeth smiled at him. "You saved the world."
"We saved the world," He corrected. "If you weren't there I don't know how we would've won."
"True," She said, smirking. "I always swoop in at the right time to save your ass. Also Rachel is the new oracle which means she won't be dating anybody."
"You don't seem disappointed."
"Oh, I don't care," She said shrugging her shoulders.
"Uh-huh."
Annabeth dusted off her hands, and quirked an eyebrow at him. "Got something to say to me, Seaweed Brain?"
"You'd probably kick my butt."
"You know I'd kick your butt."
Percy brushed the cake off his hands and looked at her. "When I was at the River Styx, turning invulnerable... Nico said I had to concentrate on the one thing that kept me anchored to the world, that made me want to stay mortal."
Annabeth was looking at the horizon now, her grey eyes following the crash of the waves on the rocks. "Yeah?"
"Then up on Olympus," Percy felt like he was nervously rambling at this point, "when they wanted to make me a god and stuff I kept thinking-"
"Oh you so wanted to."
"Well, maybe a little. But I didn't, because I thought- I didn't want things to stay the same for eternity, because things could always get better. And I was thinking..." Suddenly Percy felt like he couldn't speak. His throat felt like sandpaper, and he was struggling to get so much as a syllable out.
"Anyone in particular?" Annabeth said softly, her eyes seeking him out, intently boring into his.
It was obvious that she was trying not to smile. "You're laughing at me," He complained.
"I am not!" She said really laughing now.
"You are so not making this easy," He said.
That's when she looked at him, really looked at him, not the way she was before. He was pretty sure his heart had stopped beating when she moved her arms around her neck. "I am never, ever, going to make things easy for you Seaweed Brain. Get used to it."
And then she kissed him.
It was so many things all at once. He reveled in the taste of her mouth and the way it moved against his. The hands that had laid idle around his neck, played with his hair as they kissed, and Percy never wanted it to stop.
"Well, it's about time!" A gruff voice spoke up from behind him.
They pulled away from each other and turned around to see Clarisse standing there with other eavesdropping campers.
"Oh come on!" Percy groaned. "Is there no privacy?"
"The lovebirds need to cool off!" Clarisse said with a grin.
Connor Stole, who was somewhere in the crowd of campers shouted, "The Canoe Lake!"
Before Percy could comprehend what was happening, he and Annabeth were being thrown into the lake.
He made an air bubble for them at the bottom of the lake. Annabeth smiled at him and they kissed again, determined to make it last longer.
The campers kept waiting for them to come up, but Percy was a son of Poseidon. They had all the time in the world.
And it was pretty much one of the best underwater kisses of all time.

Annabeth woke in a cold sweat. Another nightmare. Ever since Tartarus, the nightmares had become unbearable. She was hoping that they wouldn't be a problem anymore since the war was won, and the giants and Gaia were defeated, but they didn't. If anything, they were worse, so bad, that she struggled to make it through the night without running to Percy's cabin.
Her sock-covered foot pressed lightly on the creaked, hardwood floor, careful as to not make any noise. She stepped over to the chest of drawers where her invisibility cap sat, and she slipped it over her messy curls.
As quiet as she possibly could, she slid on her ratty sneakers, and slipped out of Cabin 6. She walked over to Cabin 3, and slowly slid inside. Percy was awake she noticed, and he looked to be in the same position she was eight minutes ago- hunched over in a cold sweat with his face buried into his hands.
"Seaweed Brain," She spoke up, taking off her invisibility cap, and his head popped up to look at her.
He scooched over to make room for her on the bed. "Wise Girl, are you okay?"
She climbed into bed next to him, pressing her face into the crook of his neck. She breathed him in, the scent of the sea filling her nostrils. "I am now."
They stayed said nothing for awhile, and stayed in that position. "It hurts," Annabeth whispered, breaking the silence.
He didn't have to ask her to elaborate. "I know, Wise Girl, I know."
She looked up at him now, eyes filled with tears, and whispered, "Sometimes it feels like it will never get better."
"It will Annabeth," He whispered back, his hands running soothing circles over her back. "It will because we have each other."
She nodded, a single tear sliding down her cheek. "I love you so much, Percy you don't even know-"
"I love you too, Annabeth. I love you so much it consumes me. My every thought, my every action. It's all because of you. I would be a physical and emotional wreck if it weren't for you."
She kissed him then, soft and slow. They had each other, and that was all they needed.
Suddenly, Percy asked, "Do you want to go down to the shore?"
She pulled back. "Right now?"
"Uh-huh, right now."
"Why?"
"Because as much as you hate to admit it the ocean calms you down." He pointed out.
"I do not hate to admit that, Seaweed Brain! I just had one bad experience with a jellyfish when I was five."
He chuckled softly. "Alright, come on then."
They knew that they shouldn't be so smug about this, but making it past the harpies was one of their special talents. They made it down to the sand, and as if it was a routine, they began stripping down to their underwear to get ready to go underwater. Annabeth knew that Percy could keep them from getting wet even even if they had their clothes on but this was way more fun. And it was good for... activities.
She peered over her shoulder and saw Percy pulling his AC/DC shirt over his head, revealing his back to her. She allowed herself to look a little longer, her eyes tracing the muscles and scars. She managed to turn back and resume taking her clothes off before he could catch her staring.
Annabeth however saw him shamelessly eying her ass, and she rolled her eyes at him. "Pervert," she muttered loud enough for him to hear. She pulled her lilac tee shirt over her head and turned around to look at him.
He smirked and stepped closer to her. "It's nothing I haven't seen before. Or touched."
She rolled her eyes. Something that Annabeth had come to realize over the times where they were intimate was that Percy was a cocky motherfucker. But it was a cocky that she sort of liked, a cocky that she weirdly found hot. But she would never tell him that.
They were so bad.
When they made it underwater, he made an air-bubble for them to sit in. Annabeth loved doing this with him, sitting with him and watching the sea creatures swim by, some even doing special tricks.
It was a nice way to get away from everything. From the stress of keeping her whole cabin in check, from doing regular camp duties, like teaching sword-fighting to the younger demigods, and from past memories that seemed to keep catching up with her, that plagued her every nightmare.
"Anna, do you know why I take you down here?" He asked her, his voice breaking the bubble of silence that had surrounded them.
"Because you lo-o-o-ve me?" She asked in a teasing voice.
He laughed softly. "Well, yes, but also because it reminds me of the first time we were down here together. The first time we really kissed."
"Perseus Jackson, you big sap," Annabeth said playfully punching his shoulder.
"Oh don't act like you weren't. You've had a crush on me since we were twelve."
"Yeah, and I made the first move on you, because you were too oblivious to see."
"Can't say I'm surprised you had a crush on me when you first laid eyes on me."
Annabeth let out a wistful sigh. "I have sex with you a few times, and now you think your the gods' gift."
He laughed. "I would say more than just a few times."
He kissed her slowly. It was the kind of kiss that induced desire within her, where she could feel the fiery passion licking up her sides and into her brain. She straddled his lap then, and she could feel him, the hardness beneath his boxer shorts. Her hands found purchase on his broad shoulders and his hand moved up her back, a trail of goosebumps forming in his wake.
Suddenly she pulled away from him. "You know, I'm pretty bored just watching the fish, Seaweed Brain. Maybe we should go back up."
He grinned at her. "I have a better idea, Wise Girl."
He kissed her again, and she knew that it was pretty much one of the best underwater kisses of all time.
iii.
Percy could easily say that these last two years had been the best of his life. He felt like for once, he had finally been able to get some peace and quiet. Well, as much peace and quiet as you could get when you were a son of Poseidon. Monsters attacked less due to the Doors of Death being sealed, and quests - the few times he was sent on them - were far more easier to complete.
The main reason for his happiness, however, was caused by the blonde bombshell sitting next to him, wearing his swim hoodie, his last name printed across her back. Their hands were intertwined on the center console of Paul's Prius which Percy was currently driving down the road to Camp Half-Blood.
Earlier today, they had both walked across the stage of Goode high and received their diplomas - Annabeth graduating with honors... Percy not so much. With Annabeth's help, he had managed to end the year off with a staggering 3.3 GPA and mediocre standardized test scores. But none of that mattered now.
Percy saw Annabeth in the corner of his eye looking out the window with excitement. Their suitcases were in the backseat of the car. "Would it be weird of me to say that I'm so glad that we're done with high-school?"
Percy faked a shocked expression. "You? Glad that school's over? Who are you, and what have you done with my Annabeth?"
She let go of his hand so he could put his free hand back on the wheel. "I'm not all serious you know. I can be fun."
"Trust me, I know."
She scowled at him. "Keep talking like that and I'll start sleeping in the Athena cabin again."
That's really where she was supposed to sleep, but she was Annabeth fucking Chase. The harpies could never catch her. Percy decided not to say anything else, because he knew from personal experience that she would.
When they made it to Camp Half-Blood the sun was nearly setting, and Annabeth bolted for the entrance with incredible speed considering that she was lugging a nearly 60-pound suit-case behind her filled with battle armor, weapons, and of course, clothes.
Later that night, Annabeth was laughing as Percy took her by the hand, dragging her at an impatient pace down to Canoe Lake. He watched as her eyes became bright with sentiment. "This is where we had our first real kiss," She said.
"C'mon," He said taking her near the water.
"But I'll get wet!" She said laughing, walking with him.
Almost immediately Percy responded, "That's never been a problem before."
Even if his quick wit had resulted to a hard punch in the arm, he would be lying if he said he regretted it. He lived for seeing the slow blush that would start at her cheeks and slowly spread outwards, sometimes reaching the base of her neck and the tips of her ears.
It felt good being underwater.
Annabeth wasn't really focusing much on the sea creatures swimming outside of their little air-bubble, though. Currently, they were making out. She had been quick to realize that Percy had a special effect on her underwater. Out in the open she obviously loved him and wanted him, but underwater those emotions heightened tenfold. Call her sentimental.
The sweatshirt she'd been wearing earlier was somewhere in the sea - she was sure Percy would be able to find it later. His hand's were under the back of her bra strap touching her shoulder-blades. He knew that this was about as far as he could go undressing her when their were still people who were awake and could come down and see them through the oceans crystal-blue depths.
Suddenly it was like a shockwave hit Annabeth. She knew that he had been her best friend, before that her (sort of) enemy. But now, after everything they'd been through, they could be together. They could see each other every day without fear of either one disappearing on the other.
"Percy, I love you so much," She whispered in between passionate kisses.
"I love you too, Wise Girl."
It was pretty much one of the best underwater kisses of all time.
iv.
She was a fucking goddess when she was asleep, curled up next to him. Well, she was a goddess all the time whether her nose was in a book, she was on the battlefield, or curled up against him in bed.
Her honey-blonde curls were scattered around her head like a golden halo, and her nose did this thing where every now and then, it would scrunch up. He could see her bare skin beneath the sheets, and she was glowing, practically radiating.
He wanted to kiss her. Gods did he ever. He really didn't want to wake her up, but he couldn't help himself. He leans over and kisses her softly. He's intent on being a tease and it works when she her eyes (stormy-grey irises that he could quite literally spend all day looking into) pop open.
He knows she wants to glare at him for being so insufferable, but given their current state all she can do is smile up at him, and it's contagious because soon their both smiling like idiots.
He leans down again and kisses her for real this time, warm and passionate, and the softness of her lips against his is doing weird things to his heart. They stay like that for a bit, basking in the silent company, basking in each other's embrace, because it's a second nature to them.
She giggles when he peppers kisses across her jaw and neck. The giggles soon turn into breathy sighs when he pays thorough attention to her collarbones, one of her favorite places to be nipped at during sex. "Percy," She moans, the breathy sigh falling off her lips sounds like heavan and he knows that he will never get tired of hearing her say his name like that. "What are you doing?" She whispers as he realizes his slow advances; they become all to obvious when he pushes the sheet down, baring her naked upper body to his.
"Loving you," Is all he says, and it's all she needs to fuel the burning desire she feels slowly building up in her core, throbbing between her legs.
"You loved me a lot last night," She says, a breathless giggle turning into a moan, yet again, because now he's on top of her, and she can feel his hard body against hers and it's making her dizzy with desire.
"You are my wife," He says grinning. Her legs wrapped around his torso and her nails dug into his broad shoulders when he pushed into her slowly, smothering her small whimper with another kiss.
He was kissing her everywhere now: her face, her neck, her breasts. She knew that she had definitely died and went to Elysium, because this was the definition of true paradise. She loved letting him have this, loved letting him have this control over her.
On the outside, she was the one with the plans and he was her second-in-command, ready to follow her every order to absolute perfection, because Athena always has a plan, and he would be damned if he messed it up. But in bed, things couldn't be more different. He controlled everything that happened, and Percy could be downright cruel sometimes, bringing her right on the edge and making the prideful daughter of Athena beg for him. To be touched by him. To be burned by him. To be marked by him. To be filled with him.
It was just so intense. And she wouldn't have it any other way.
"Wise Girl!" Percy pleaded from within the water. "Please come in with me!"
Annabeth set down her copy of The Beautiful and the Damned, one of the few classics she had yet to read. She was planning on reading it today, tanning on the beach while her chaotic husband was in the water, conversing with the fish.
"I will later, Percy! I'm trying to finish this." She looked up from her book and realized that the beach had gotten a whole lot more crowded then it was before. A few girls caught her eye, girls who were either looking at Percy like they wanted to eat him or pointing at him and whispering to their friends excitedly.
This made Annabeth change her mind in a flash. She stepped to the edge of the ocean and took his hand. She watched him as his eyes fluttered over her profile. She was wearing a white bikini that tied around the neck, and usually she wasn't a bikini kind of gal, but it was their honeymoon so she figured why the fuck not? She didn't know how to feel about it, but she could tell Percy definitely liked it.
Before she knew it, he was pulling her into the water again, just like old times, and not-so-old times. He formed an air-bubble around her head allowing her to breath as he pulled her deeper and deeper into the ocean, diving down into its deep blue depths.
She saw a sea-horse and it fluttered around her hand before quickly swimming away.
She realized that they had stopped, and when she turned around, she saw that his gaze was burning into her. He kissed her then, and it was the kind of kiss that made your heart stop and your brain go haywire. It was passionate, it was sweet, and it was so completely Percy.
He pulled back. "Ten years ago, we were underwater. After you kissed me."
She laughed. "I remember, Seaweed Brain. After you finally stopped being so oblivious!"
"It was still the best underwater kiss of all time."
"Really?" Annabeth asked, arching an eyebrow. She then proceeded to let out a wistful sigh. "If nothing can beat our first underwater kiss, than what's the point of trying?"
"Nothing beats the first times, Wise Girl. You would know."
She grinned. "Wanna see if we can try to beat them then?"
She felt his nimble fingers undo the tie on her bikini top and his mouth was on hers burning into her.
It was pretty much one of the best underwater kisses of all time.
Hey guys! My name is Alexis and I'm new here to ff, so howdy :) Anyways I'm not going to be one of those people who are like "It's my first fanfic don't hate" then publishes an absolute masterpiece (no hate to them though). I've been writing fanfic on these two since I was twelve. Now as you all probably know twelve-year-old fanfics are not it. I was traumatized when I went through my old fanfic, so I knew I had to make these one-shots to redeem myself. I was going to post this on Wattpad but it's way too child friendly and I would most likely get less recognition. So yeah, I hope you guys enjoy this! If you have any Percabeth ideas (that exclude Trials of Apollo because *gasp* I could never get into it) then I would love to hear them! Also Jason is still alive in these one-shots babes. Jason might have been the driest character out of the seven but Jason Grace will never die. Alrighty then, I love y'all thank you so much for reading my fic!
