The darkness surrounded Harry from every side, the only thing he had was his wand, which he held in front of him, trying to see down the dark alleyway. Where was he? He didn't recognize it, perhaps it was Knockturn Alley? He hadn't frequented it enough to recognize it in the middle of the night. His footsteps sounded loud in his ears, and he cursed his racing heart. He needed to get to safety. He needed to get out of the open, this was the time when they came out…

The monsters that stole his husband from him, and his twin daughters. The fact that they died instead of turning was something of a small blessing to him. Draco, however, wasn't given the mercy of death. It was bad enough he needed to face the truth that if he came face to face with Draco Malfoy, the man was no longer the wizard he once knew- but nothing more than a mindless zombie. The outbreak of the Zombie Plague among the wizarding community had spread rapidly, despite zombies being unable to harness the magic one held within them. They were empty shells, killing to survive.

A sudden image overcame him of his two five year olds being killed and eaten, and he had to choke back the urge to vomit. There was nothing as far as his eyes could see, and he attempted to Apparate, Harry's focus was still too much on his present, and instead of feeling the knot in his stomach pulling him, nothing happened. "Can be thankful I didn't splinch myself," he said quietly, cursing himself for attempting it in this state. So he continued on foot, was there perhaps a chapel nearby? He knew the old school wood bolts would keep them away, that and the simple fact that they wouldn't think to enter a holy building.

He managed to get within a couple of blocks from a chapel when he began to hear the whimpering of a child, he looked around, but could see nobody "Curious", he whispered. He held up his wand lighting the pathway, and then suddenly, he heard a scream. He rushed towards the source of the noise, and his heart sank into the pit of his stomach. It was Luna, and she was being pinned down by one of those creatures, he couldn't help it, he screamed at it.

"Get away from her!"

The walking corpse that used to be his husband, the love of his life. His blond hair was dirty and when he turned, Harry could see the lifeless grey eyes that once held such happiness when seeing him. "Draco! No!" Harry shouted, approaching the scene.

"Harry," Luna gasped. "He isn't Draco anymore." She was badly injured, and could hardly stand.

"Draco, I don't want to do this," he cried, tears streaming from his eyes. He could hardly see as he raised his wand to point it at Draco's shell. The zombie growled, and seemed to realise that Harry was conflicted, and was starting to grow weary of the man shouting at him and not acting. He turned his back on Harry.

The memory of the day their twins were born flashed before his eyes, their surrogate looked flushed and covered in sweat, but she seemed to be doing just fine. He was handed a tiny little bundle of blankets that held his one daughter, and he saw the pride in Draco's eyes as the other baby was given to him by the Medi-Witch. Then suddenly, he was there, watching Draco and the other zombies over the bodies of his small children, he didn't have any way of helping Draco or the girls. Harry took a last look at his daughters. One was looking right at him, tears making long tracks down her small face. She reached her equally small hand out towards him and it was all he could do not to run over and grab it. The other Daughter, Casey, was already gone. It was too late for her, It was already too late. They hadn't seen him, so he had to leave them, he had to run away from his own home like a thief in the night.

Another memory caught him, the day he had admitted to himself, and his friends, that he had fallen for the blond haired git. He remembered how he blushed when Ron teased him, and thinking how happy he was that his best friends accepted his feelings and didn't want to force him into a relationship with someone like Ginny, not that there was anything wrong with her, it would just be like marrying his own sister.

That Draco, however, was gone. The light stormy eyes were now empty and dark. The alabaster china china alabaster skin was gray and sallow with black veins pulsing around his face. It was time now, he had to do it. "Avada Kedavra!" he shouted, he knew it was a small blessing, that he managed to avenge Draco's memory in some way. Now he could face the fact that his husband was gone, and no longer be tortured by the memories of losing his entire family, helpless to stop them.

"Harry," Luna cried, as the corpse fell on top of her. "Help me!"

She was covered in dirt and scrapes, but she seemed to be okay. He wondered if it was too late, but she seemed just fine.

He was walking towards her, and then he heard a voice calling his name, and he felt something on his shoulder, he woke up in a cold sweat, looking into the concerned eyes of Draco. "Harry, it's okay, it's all fine now, you're safe." Draco pulled the still somewhat bewildered and struggling Harry into his arms, and Harry let out a breath, trying to calm his racing heart.

"It's not me I was worried about," he choked out.

"Oh, I heard, you have been screaming in your sleep for at least fifteen minutes before I managed to wake you," Draco spoke softly, trying to calm Harry. Harry nodded, allowing his breathing to slow back to normal. Draco was right, everything was alright now, they were all safe and the horrid zombies had been nothing more than a nightmare.
