Portal-Maniacs
~Chapter 1~
(Before we start, I'd like to say that this was entirely because I was bored, so unless you're just DYING for more, I'll probably take my time with this. Don't expect weekly updates, because I made this in my free time. Also, I just wanted to do something with Portal and Animaniacs. I felt like it. Anyway, enjoy.)
Dot had woken up in the Aperture testing facility. You see, in this world, Toons were made not just for cartoons, but also for testing. Their Toon properties made it easy for them not to get hurt falling from high places, getting slammed in to walls, getting squished, etc. She had been muted for quite a long time now, and forgot what her own voice sounded like. She had woken up to the same routine for years now. Get up, test, test some more, sleep. Eventually, they made N.O.R.I.T.A. N.O.R.I.T.A stands for N-Nonliving O-Operating R-Research I-Intelligence T-Testing A-Apparatus. (Referencing the new CEO in the reboot.) She was strict, and a jerk. Dot was testing until one day, she had enough.
Dot was testing like usual, until she messed up. N.O.R.I.T.A criticized her, as usual. Dot wanted to talk back, but she was literally speechless. She fixed her mistake and passed the test chamber, and she found something odd about it. A wall plate was out of place. She shot a portal into the strange room. Once she was inside, she found out it was a maintenance room, and she saw controls such as levers, dials and much more. She didn't dare touch them, or N.O.R.I.T.A would most likely know.
She noticed an odd door to the right of the controls. The sign on it read 'Employees only'. She was an employee, right? I mean, she was a test subject, so it only made sense. She entered the room, and to her surprise, it was files about her. She picked them up and hid them in her Hammerspace. (Although she called it a portal-gun space, because she didn't have a hammer.) Once N.O.R.I.T.A noticed she wasn't in the next chamber, she immediately went searching through the cameras. Once she found her, and in the employees only room no-less, she was furious…
