… I concentrated, holding the picture of the Gungan in my mind.

The first change I noticed was that suddenly the skin on my hands changed colour. Their usual creamy white soon became a creamy yellow. Then the patterns, dark red swirls formed from my hands all the way up my arms, my legs…neck! Like a tattooist had gone mad! My skin thickened, stretched like a pair of tight fitting jeans, spreading out across my whole body. My hands melded to form the four fingers of a Gungan instead of five. My nails hardened, becoming a blue-grey tinge.

I was getting taller; my whole body just seemed to explode upwards. I stared at my trousers that now ended up at my knees! Yet, I didn't feel unsteady, not as if I were standing on stilts. The bones in my legs changed, becoming elastic. It was as if I was standing on springs. I could simply do a back flip, landing perfectly on my feet, no problem!

I grinned, going to say something to my awe struck audience but suddenly my neck extended… simply grew. My tongue being pulled down the back of my throat stretched like an elastic band. It simply lolled from my mouth like that of a dog's tongue. My face bulged out, forming into a huge, long orange-red snout.

My ears crawled up the sides of my face, melding with my brown hair. Hardening into the long, slender Gungan ears.

My hearing changed, not much, but enough to notice. Every sound seemed amplified almost… like there was an echo or something.

My eyes slowly climbed up my face as stalks formed on the top of my head. And for a moment I was a blue eyed Gungan until even that changed when the brilliant gold filled into every portion of my eyes. My black pupils becoming like that of a cat almost. My vision changed… for a second blurring and then clearing. Sharpening. But it was no longer how well I saw that mattered. It was what I spotted. Gungans saw colour but that wasn't their main concern. I saw movement, edges. I could see every blade of grass, animals hiding in and amongst the forest surrounding us.

I looked into the swamp and instantly had to blink… the water was no longer murky… It was clear, like I was looking into glass. I could see creatures hiding under the water… wanted to catch something.

"You ok in there?" I glanced over at the others; they looked short now. My own Gungan form towering over them all.

"Wow!" I squealed, realizing that my voice was no longer my own. It was high pitched, not ear piercing. But rather, it was like that of an over grown child… yes that's what I felt like! A child in an adult's body. I wanted to run around; I wanted to leap about... I felt as if I could conquer the world!… I wanted to swim.

I put my first step forward. My stubby foot slamming into soft ground… not gripping anything. I slipped splatting face down in the mud…
