Under the Stars

This fanfic is inspired by Haikyū! Champions - A HinaYachi FanFic by ReddyP on Wattpad.

Takes place during their second year in the summer of July 2013 after Karasuno lost to Date Tech High in the finals of the Interhigh Preliminaries.

It is a wonderful night in Miyagi Prefecture, Tōhoku Region, Japan as the stars were bright and revealed beautifully.

Enjoying them were two second years of the Karasuno High Volleyball Club: Shoyo Hinata, the once baby crow and Middle Blocker (now an Opposite Hitter), widely known as The Greatest Decoy, and his girlfriend, the cute and kindhearted manager Hitoka Yachi. The couple were laying together on a field to see the stars themselves, with Yachi laying next to Hinata with her head on his chest and their opposing hands interlocked together.

"It's really beautiful." Hinata said.

"What is?" Yachi asked, trying to be playful.

"The stars. And you." Hinata replied, giving a cheeky grin.

Yachi giggled, snuggling closer.

"You never cease to amaze me." Yachi commented.

"I'm like a sun, which my name comes from." Hinata explained.

"And that sun is what gives a little flower like me the strength to move forward." Yachi explained.

"Suga-san mentioned us being a 'SunFlower'. It's really cool when people call us that." Hinata explained.

"It suits us." Yachi said.

Hinata chuckled before seeing some constellations that he does recognize.

"Oh! I see a Leo! And a Cancer!" Hinata hollered, pointing to the Lion and Crab constellations that just showed up.

Yachi looked up in awe.

"Pretty." Yachi said.

"I kinda remember what my constellation is since my birthday is June 21st. It's, um…" Hinata explained, trying to figure out the constellation that goes with his birthday.

"It's Cancer, Sho." Yachi said, letting out a sigh of slight annoyance.

"Oh, yeah! It's Cancer from June 21st to July 21st! That's the one!" Hinata hollered.

"Gotta remind you, don't I?" Yachi asked.

Hinata smiled and kissed the top of her head. "And that's what I love you for, Toka."

Yachi giggled once again.

"And don't forget, my constellation is Virgo since my birthday is September 4th." Yachi explained.

"That makes you 2 months younger than me. No offense." Hinata explained, being reasonable without sugarcoating his words.

"None taken." Yachi said.

The two lovebirds began watching the stars some more for a little while longer before it's time for them to leave.

"We should get going, Sho. It's getting late." Yachi explained, being the first up.

"I know." Hinata said, pushing himself up from the ground and following his girlfriend to his bike.

The two held hands again, walking to Hinata's bike together.

"The next Springhigh Representative Playoffs will be happening in 3 months." Hinata explained.

"Yeah. We may be facing some tough teams again." Yachi said.

"I wanna play against Date Tech again. They made it to being the Top 16, and we'll face them again." Hinata explained.

"And not just them, but also Seijoh and Shiratorizawa." Yachi explained.

"I can't wait!" Hinata hollered, pumping his fist into the air.

Yachi giggled at Hinata's cheerful spirit and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Blushing, Hinata returned the favor and took a quick stop and turned to face her much to the blonde's confusion, before he gave her a passionate kiss on the lips with one hand on her waist and the other around the back of her head, reaching to her ponytail and stroking it between his fingers gently. Yachi returned the kiss with her arms around his neck to deepen it.

The kiss lasted for at least two minutes before releasing for oxygen, and Hinata letting go of Yachi's ponytail . They were still blushing and now back to holding hands.

"You really are something, Sho." Yachi commented.

"That's just who I am, Toka." Hinata said.

The two laughed as they started walking to the bike and got on with Hinata in front, and Yachi holding onto him tightly.

"You ready?" Hinata asked.

"Always." Yachi replied, her laying against his back in a soft tone.

Hinata began peddling with Yachi holding on; the two began making their leave to head home.

The skies show the zodiac constellation signs of Cancer and Virgo came together, signaling the union of the two Karasuno crows, known as "SunFlower".

This is by far my favorite ship in the entire series, though I won't deny that KageHina is one of the biggest ships. I don't judge and respect all ships equally regardless of how other people may think of them. Congrats to ReddyP for creating such a wonderful story called "Haikyū! Champions" and can't wait to see how the sequel "Haikyū! Victory Lap" (that just started 3 weeks ago) turn out as our two baby crows reach the early stages of adulthood in their third year!

For the link of Haikyuu! Champions, go on Wattpad and type in Haikyuu! Champions, and it will be the first thing to come up in your search. Read and respect, but do enjoy the all the wonderful moments Hinata and Yachi went through together in their first year.
