Chapter 1: Wild Witches

Hey everyone I'm here with a new story. I saw this comic of an AU of Owl House called Witches Among Us and I knew I had to make my own version of it and I decided to use characters from my Wild Wind Warlock. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.

Now I know I'm sure you've all heard a story about a human girl and a hybrid boy going to a world of magic at some point in your life. Learning magic, discovering secrets and tons of other cool stuff. Yeah that sounds like a great read, but sometimes the opposite can be just as great.

In the world of magic commonly known as the Boiling Isles every myth humans have is caused by a little of this world leaking into theirs, griffins, vampires, and don't get me started on giraffes. Those freaks were banished to the human realm a long time ago.

The Boiling Isles was born from the flesh and bones of a fallen titan, this power allowed all those who lived there to evolve to the point all could wield magic and for a long time the people were allowed to explore those powers freely.

Until one day, it was decided that a coven system would be created in order to restrict witches and seal away their potential and it was declared that anyone who didn't follow this system was a wild witch and faced harsh punishment.

But even so, some people didn't like the idea of being kept from their true potential.

Late one night, we find ourselves on the streets of the Boiling Isles as the Emperor's guards were dragging a teenage girl through the streets.

"Please no! I didn't mean to!" She begs.

"You know the rules, when you are assigned a track you cannot choose another." A guard said.

"But I was curious, I wanted to try something new." She begs.

"New has no place here. We follow the rules." The second goon said.

"No! Please!" She yells trying to break free.

Little did they know two figures with pointy ears were watching them.

One figure was a teenage girl who had tan skin, brown eyes, brown hair with two bangs going down the front, a blue cloak that covered the lower half of her face, a white shirt under, black pants and boots. In her hand was a brown witch's staff with an owl on the top of it.

The other was a teenage boy the same age in a matching blue cloak but with wild spiky red hair, emerald eyes, white skin, a pair of goggles around his neck, and a silver witch's staff with a raven atop it.

"Looks like they're at it again." The girl said.

"Always trying to keep everyone else down." The boy said before putting his goggles over his eyes.

As the carriage was on its way to the Conformatorium the witch looked inside to see 4 others were in there with her.

"We better take it in folks, I don't think we'll be seeing the outside again for a long time." A girl sighs.

"We are victims of fwee expwession! They will never siwence us!" A small white creature with a big nose said.

"Oh shut up you little runt, they have silenced us." A teenage boy said.

Frowning the witch looked out the window hoping to get her last look at her home when suddenly she noticed two figures flying in. "Huh?"

At the front, the guards were holding a big sack of goods: snails, food, jewels, etc.

"Look at what they thought they could sneak away from us?" A guard asks.

"Idiots." They all laughed.

Flying above the carriage the two witches look to each other.

"You handle the carriage I'll get the goods." The girl said.

"You got it." The boy said as they dived down at full speed.

As their shadows dropped down the guards look to see the figures flying in.

"Incoming!" One guard yells.

Making a magic circle fire shoots out at them but at the last second, the male witch drops down and lands on the roof of the carriage.

Flying in the girl witch dodges enemy fire before dropping in and kicking on guard off before grabbing the sack of goodies.

Getting up the boy stood down three guards.

"I should have known you would show up. The two most wanted criminals on the Boiling Isles." A guard declares.

"Oh thank you, I'm flattered you guys know us." The boy smiles when the girl drops in next to him.

"Now fellas, we can do this the easy way or the fun way." The girl said.

"Attack!" One yells.

"Fun way it is." The boy said getting in front of the girl as he makes a magic circle and a gust of wind blows them back.

Aiming down at the carriage the girl makes a green magic circle causing a giant vine to appear under them throwing all the guards up into the air.

"And happy landings!" Making another both witches fire magical blasts of lighting zapping all three guards.

Flying off the guards crashed to the ground hard while both witches use their magic to stop the carriage.

Gulping all the people inside look to see their saviors by the door.

"Come on people, this is a prison rescue. Everybody off." The girl said

"Divide these up and make sure everyone gets some." The boy said tossing the sack to the witches.

"Thank you sir." A witch said as they all divided up the stuff from the sack when the big nose creature looks to them.

Walking over it holds up two loaves of bread.

"Tribwte for the hwroes." It said giving it to them.

"Aw thanks little guy." They smiled as the three prisoners ran off.

"Thank you, you both saved my life. How can I ever thank you?" The witch asks.

"Lay low for a few days with your loved ones and keep your head down." The girl said.

"If you want to study other types of magic, go to library and do some independent studying but keep it to yourself we don't want you thrown behind bars." The boy warns.

"I will, thank you so much." She smiles before running off.

As they turned a corner, they saw two new Wanted Posters of them on the wall.

Pausing both grab their posters and flew off.

At a house hidden away in the forest, both witches arrive.

Pausing both look around before slowly opening the door and almost immediately they smiled.

"Whoo! We did it!" Both cheered as they stamped their feet excited before leaping up and high fiving each other before doing a little victory dance and taking off their cloaks.

"Aw yeah that's how we roll. Those Guards never stood a chance against us, Minato." The girl sighs laying down on the couch.

"Of course they didn't Luz, it's because we keep getting stronger and they stay the same." Minato chuckles lifting up his goggles.

"Yeah we do." Luz smiles as she and Minato fist-bumped and he laid down on the couch next to her.

These were Luz Noceda and Minato Nakamura. Both born and raised as wild witches by their families allowing them to become masters of all kinds of magic.

Using their powers, they took it upon themselves to keep the people of the Boiling Isles out of harm's way and taking back what was taken from them.

Taking out the bread they were given the owl and raven atop their staffs climbed off.

"You did great Owlbert." Luz smiles petting him.

"Good work Ayden." Minato smiles as his raven nuzzled him.

Reaching into his bag, Minato pulls out the bread they got.

"And now we feast." Minato smiles as they broke bread and cheered.

Later, that night, Luz was walking out of the shower, in her pajamas and drying her hair with a towel.

"Now that hit the spot." Luz sighs when she looks down the hall to see Minato in his pajamas looking out the window of his room.

Pausing Luz slowly walks up.

"Hey something on your mind?" Luz asks walking in.

"Just wondering, you ever wish things were normal around here? Like if this stupid system wasn't around, we could be normal witches, go to school, make friends, maybe even…fall in love?" Minato asks getting her attention. "Sometimes I wonder if we made the right call being heroes. You ever wonder that?"

"Yeah every day." Luz said walking up next to him and leaning against the window. "And then I realized, what even is normal? If you ask me, we're weird and I like being weird. It means we're different from everyone. You think normal witches would do half the things we've done?"

"Yeah I guess not." Minato smiles.

"Besides if it wasn't for these dumb rules, you and I wouldn't be best friends and partners in crime." Luz smiles wrapping her arm around his shoulder.

"Best witches on the Boiling Isles." Minato smiles.

"Now you better get some rest, we have our big heist tomorrow." Luz said.

"Oh yeah, I am ready for this." Minato smirks.

"You're not gonna hold me back, are you?" Luz asks.

"Hardly, you and I both know I'm the one carrying us." Minato chuckles.

"Oh yeah right." Luz smiles as they both laugh.

The next night, Luz and Minato had donned their witch's cloaks and were slowly sneaking through town before looking across at a large tower.

"Alright Minato, we pull this off and we along with a large handful of witches will be sleeping well. Word is all the good stuff is on the top floor." Luz said.

"Well then what are we waiting for?" Minato smirks.

"That's what I love about you Minato, you're as eager as I am." Luz smiles as they cover the lower half of their faces and Minato puts his goggles on over his eyes.

"Abomination, rise." Making a magic circle, Minato summons an abomination that lifts him and Luz up to the second-floor window.

Peeking her head in, Luz sees two guards on patrol down the hall causing her to duck back.

"Okay on my signal…now." Luz whispers as they leaped in and quickly ran down the opposite direction to avoid being spotted.

Stopping at the end of the corridor, Minato pops his head out.

"How many?" Luz whispers.

"There's 3 right by the staircase." Minato said when Luz sees some potted plants on the windowsill.

Making a magic circle, it glowed green as all the potted plants started to shake.

"Huh?" The guards look at them and suddenly giant vines shot out slamming them into the wall knocking them out.

"Works every time." Luz said as they made their way the stairs.

On the top floor, one guard with his back to the stairs he hears something coming up.

However, when he turns around he sees nothing was there.

"Hmm must be tired." He said not seeing Minato and Luz holding themselves up right above him.

Letting go, both drop smashing down on the guard knocking him out.

"No one ever looks up." Minato said.

"I know right, it's so dumb. You would think they would be more alert." Luz said.

"And these idiots wonder why they never catch us?" Minato asks.

"Alright follow me." As Luz led Minato down the hall, they didn't notice the guard they knocked out had a blinking light on his wrist.

Opening a door, Luz and Minato look to see a room filled with gold coins, jewels and various treasures.

"Jackpot." Luz said.

"Luz have I ever said how awesome you are?" Minato asks.

"Hmm not recently." Luz smiles loving this.

"This place is a goldmine, literally." Minato smiles.

"Oh wow, we could help the entire town with the snails in this place." Luz said running to the gold coins but when she tries to leap in, she falls face first into the pile. "Yeah that seemed like it was gonna be a lot more fun." Luz groans causing Minato to chuckle.

"Come on let's start bagging this stuff up." Minato said when he noticed some jewels and diamonds.

Reaching out he packs a few away for him and Luz before they started grabbing the rest.

As Luz looked around, she noticed something glowing in the back of the hallway.

"Hey Minato, what's that?" Luz asks getting his attention.

"What in the?" Interested Luz and Minato slowly walk over to the glowing object.

Upon getting a closer look they see a green crystal with what appeared to be a key sealed within it.

"A key." Luz said intrigued.

"What do you think a key like that unlocks?" Minato asks.

"Nothing that concerns you both." A male voice said getting their attention.

Turning around they see from atop the staircase a man in a grey cloak with gold shoulder pads, a golden mask with line cut in the top for eye holes and black armor.

"I must say, to be able to elude my capture for so long and even help others do the same is quite an impressive feat." He said walking down the stairs.

"Luz Noceda and Minato Nakamura, you two have been causing me quite a bit of trouble." The man in the gold mask said.

"We've heard you, the witch who keeps this horrible Coven System going and punishes all those who break it." Luz narrows her eyes.

"The Enforcer." Minato declares.

"Oh good, you know me and I know you." Enforcer said stopping at the bottom.

"What is all this?" Minato asks.

"Nothing that concerns you two." Enforcer said.

"We'll be the judge of that." Luz said.

"And what if I'm not in a sharing mood?" Enforcer asks as he makes a magic circle and suddenly a gold blast of magic shot at them.

Acting quickly both leaped on their staffs and flew out of the way dodging his fire.

"Once you two are out of the way, nothing will ruin my plans for the Boiling Isles." Enforcer said making his large blast separate into multiple mini ones.

Pulling out a glyph, Luz makes a wall of ice to deflect the attack.

"Sorry but we don't go down that easily." Luz said.

Swinging his staff, Minato releases a blade of wind that strikes Enforcer making him skid back.

"You two have spunk, shame you're not on my side. I could use fighters like you." Enforcer said.

"Not interested." Minato glares.

"Shame." Holding out his hand a staff with a green crystal flew into Enforcer's hand.

Slamming the staff down multiple green crystals appeared around Luz and Minato before firing a gold blast that ricocheted off the crystals hitting both of them.

Flinching in pain, Luz looks to see more blasts fly in.

Moving in close, Luz makes a barrier appear around them.

Little did they know the magic they were releasing caused the crystal around the key to crack softly.

"Okay this guy is a step up from his guards." Luz said.

"So what do you say we step it up?" Minato suggests.

"Gladly." Luz said as both took out glyphs.

"Glyph papers, how old." Enforcer mocks.

"Never underestimate old school!" Luz said creating multiple fireballs that flew towards him.

Thrusting his staff forward, Enforcer makes the fireballs fly past him but didn't notice Minato fly past him.

Holding out a wind glyph, Minato takes a deep breath before breathing a gust of wind causing the fireballs to turn around and hit Enforcer in the back.

"Especially when you update them." Minato smirks.

Charging in both Minato and Luz swing their staffs but at the last second Enforcer blocks with his.

As the three of them clash staffs magic exploded from their staffs causing the crystal to crack more and more.

When Luz swings her staff, Enforcer blocks it and pushes her back before blocking Minato's attack and kicking him to the ground.

"Minato!" Luz gasps.

While she was distracted, Enforcer blasts Luz sending her crashing into Minato making them fall right next to the crystal.

Groaning both of them are slow to get up when Enforcer glares them both down.

"Farewell." Making a giant magic circle, Enforcer fires a giant golden beam at them.

Acting quickly, Minato and Luz fire powerful orange and blue blasts which upon contact created an epic clash.

Growling both struggled to overcome it but Enforcer was proving too much.

"Luz get out of here!" Minato yells.

"I'm not leaving you behind! Weirdoes stick together! Now push him back!" Luz yells.

Mustering up every ounce of magic they had Luz and Minato started to push Enforcer's attack back making them even.

Suddenly from the crystal, the key glows bright reacting to the abundant amount of magic surprising Enforcer.

"No it can't be! I had so much more time!" Enforcer gasps.

Looking over Minato and Luz saw the crystal shatter causing the key inside it to break right down the middle causing a bright light to engulf Minato and Luz before an explosion went off.

When the smoke clears, Enforcer looks to see Minato and Luz were nowhere to be seen along with half of the key.

On the outskirts of a city, a woman with grey hair and gold eyes with her black cat was driving her car along the path. This was Edalyn Clawthorne.

"I hope you realize how much I had to go out of my way for that dumb chew toy King." Eda said.

"Meow." King said picking up a stuffed bunny with his mouth.

"I just want to get back home and go to bed. I've had enough excitement for one day." Eda said

As they turned a corner a portal opens and from it Luz and Minato fell out smashing into the windshield causing Eda to hit the brakes hard causing both to fly off and hit the ground.

"What the heck was that?!" Eda panics while King gulps in fear.

Reaching into the back, Eda grabs a shovel as she slowly walks out to the two unconscious kids.

"Oh man, poor kids." Eda said when she noticed something. "Wait a minute."

Slowly bending down, she notices their pointy ears causing them to gasp. "They're witches."

As King pops his head out, Eda looks around. She couldn't just leave them out in the middle of the road.

Putting her shovel down, Eda slowly picks them up one at a time to bring them into the backseat.

Looking around King noticed what appeared to be half of a key on the road.

Tilting his head curiously King picks it up with his teeth before running back to the car dropping it on his seat.

Walking back out Eda sees Owlbert and Ayden climb off the staffs startling her.

"Uh nice…scepters." Eda said not sure what to do when the owl and raven flew over to their owners and stood guard.

Tilting his head, King looked at them with an intrigued look on his face.

Loading their stuff into the car, Eda sighs.

"I better not regret this." Eda said before driving off.
