In an alternative DCAU movie (New 52) timeline, set during Son of Batman, and then a few months before Teen Titans Judas Contract. The daughter of Felix Fuast is found by Ra's al Ghul, the leader of the League of Assassins. When she goes back home she joins her sister, then she joins a villain school run by Lex Luthor where she is expected to fight her old friend Damian Wayne.
Intro
My name is Jyn but I was not named at child birth like any normal kid, well I was not like any normal kid at all. I was abandoned by my father when I was born and I only saw my mother once when I was a baby.
My father just put me on a plane to the League of Assassins with one possession, a small dark red ruby with my father's name engraved in the back of it. The name on the back of the ruby was Felix Faust.
Chapter one
I am Jyn al Ghul
I was originally abandoned by my father because I did not have any powers.
"Where could she have got this from!" He thought.
I was just a normal human girl when my father shipped me off to the League of Assassins where he hoped I'd get some training and later reunite with him so we could be a villain partnership, a father and a daughter. I thought.
He put me on a plane with a horrible pilot and put me on my way to the League of Assassins. He probably didn't think about the plane crashing, or maybe he didn't care.
When the Headmaster of the League of Assassins Ra's al Ghul saw a crashed plane on his land, he originally thought it was a threat, maybe a bomb, but when he went up to it with great caution, he saw a crying baby girl stuck in a crashed plane. Me.
When he saw me he instantly called for some of his men to get me out of the plane and bring me to him. When they brought me to him he saw a hopeless baby girl with a dark red ruby in her palm with the words engraved in it, Felix Faust.
The grand master took me in as one of his own, the granddaughter of Ra's al Ghul. That day he named me Jyn.
I grew up being best friends with Damian, the headmaster's grandson. We were like brother and sister, inseparable.
Even though I was adopted I looked very much like Talia they say. I had the same black hair, pale skin and the same little smile as Damian and her, although they hardly ever used it.
I loved my life at the League of Assassins. I was an excellent fighter, climber, and even the second smartest student in the league after Damian. Although Damian always had a need to impress Grandfather and always lived up to his standards, I felt the same way but Damian would never let himself be happy, he would stay serious all the time, but if I was happy I would not push that happiness away just for standards, but I still loved being in the league.
Until my life completely changed one day. I was training with Damian and I did not block a fencing swing because I broke my wrist a few days prior, and I got stabbed in the stomach accidently. Pain exploded through my body and I fell into his arms, tears ran down my cheeks hitting my stomach where my wound was.
"I don't think I ever cried before," I whispered.
"It's ok, it's ok," he responded sounding scared.
Tears kept flowing from my eyes onto my wound, but after two minutes of unbearable pain I felt my wound healing, I did not understand what was happening. However once my wound was fully healed I had the magic powers of my birth mother, Zatanna Zatara. I was no longer just a human girl that could fight, I was a girl with backward magic.
Now that I had powers, I decided to go back to my father and be with him like he wanted, a father and daughter partnership.
I asked Damian to come with me but he needed to stay with his mother and grandfather, so I left, hoping I would see Damian and grandfather again.
Three days later the League of Assassins's base was infiltrated by Death Stroke and Grandfather died fighting. However, 2 weeks after that Damian emerged as Robin, Batman's sidekick. What a traitor!
Chapter two
Surprise
It took a few days to track my father down and even longer to get there. When I was standing on the doorstep of the base he was in, I thought it was all worth it, but once I came inside I found a horrible surprise. The whole place was wrecked, broken walls, blood everywhere, "-wait blood!" I thought "oh no, father!"
I went into the next room and found a girl looking around my age crying over my fathers DEAD body! I was just a few moments late! If I did not stop off to rest and ran maybe I would be able to get here in time, to save him.
"Oh no, what happened here?" I asked in a fearful tone.
The girl said, "Two people came in here and murdered my father. I was in the other room reading when I heard something. I'm not sure what it was, but I just came running and I found him lying here dead!" She was crying even more now. "Who are you anyway?" her voice was shaky.
"I'm his daughter, apparently just like you." I answered with my voice just as shaky.
"Daughter? That can't be, he said I was his only child. By the way the name's Amanda Faust." She wiped her tears away and stood up, she had short blond hair with purple highlights up in a high ponytail, it spun around as she stood up. She had hazel brown eyes just like mine. We looked alot alike, we both had about six small freckles on each of our checks and we both also had the same pale skin.
"Jyn." I said even though she did not ask. I extended my arm to shake hands, but she never extended hers. I just asked, "Did you see the people that killed our father leave? " Even though I knew the answer was no.
She confirmed what I feared, and then I knew that was it officially over-I was completely out of options. "I guess you can stay here in this base, since you have no place to stay." She said with her voice weak and the same amount of sadness in her voice as before.
It was like she read my mind, I guess she realised I was not just coming for a visit and my face told her when I walked into the room I was scared too. "Well since I have no other family, it would be best to be with my sister. Maybe we can get to know each other a bit better, I mean I just met you." I answered. "Also what is your birthday?" I asked, because she looked the exact same age as me and we looked so similar to each other.
"March 3rd, why?" she responded.
"Um, that's my birthday, I think we might be twins. I mean like since we're sisters and we have the same birthday." I said happily, with a small grin on my face. Amanda also had a smile on her face.
It took my mind off my dead father.
Amanda told me about her background in crime, her villain name was Rider, and she explained her powers. "No wonder father decided not to put her on a plane on the way to the League of Assassins as a newborn, she can create lightning for god's sake!" I thought.
We became partners in crime, I took the villain name Phoenix because I was able to heal myself with my tears and I was magical just like a phoenix. We were the best villain partnership in Gotham, and when we were not being villains we were, Jyn and Amanda Fhath.
She made me a purple mask and outfit, it had protective armor, but it was two pieces so it also let me do my flips and other moves.
I stayed with Amanda for three years until disaster struck, again.
I was in the house getting ready for our little night out (of crime). Amanda went ahead to try to get a head start, I walked ahead behind her.
I heard Amanda say to two people, "get out of the way!" One of them was wearing a beige trenchcoat and the other one was wearing a weird outfit I couldn't describe.
They said, "no." I walked up behind the two people and tried to get them away. Once they said no again one of them chanted a spell, but backwards. Then she said it again and Amanda and I went into an instant flashback.
Three years ago, our father dying. I'm recognising the clues, both of them walking on the street, and a face, someone I could never forget.
"Mother?! Why did you kill him?! Yes I get it, he was evil but he was also the father of your twins!" I shout, shaking out of the memonry, but Amanda was still stuck in her flashback.
Mother chanted a spell, "Eid taht tonnac eb desrever," then she made a wave of a red something, it hit me and Amanda. I was able to stand the hit but then Amanda fell to the floor!
I tried to run up to her but they held me back in a force bubble. I used a spell to try and reverse it. To my surprise it worked. I ran up to her with tears in my eyes, last time I cried it was three years ago when I was stabbed in the stomach. I thought maybe I could stop her from dying. I was not going to let her die like I did my father, and especially not by our MOTHER!
I pulled off my mask. I didn't care if anyone could see my face. I didn't care about anything but saving Amanda. I tried to save her with my tears but it would not work. I instantly translated the spell Mother used from backwards, "Eid taht tonnac eb desrever, that translates to, die that cannot be reversed. Cannot be reversed! Oh no!" I still tried again but it didn't work, then I knew all of my family that loved me was gone.
I turned around to yell at my mother, "That was your DAUGHTER! Why did you kill her?!"
But mother just chanted, "etativel!" and the pair levitated up into the air and were gone.
Chapter three
Villains Academy
Since I now had no place to stay I decided to enroll in a boarding school called the Academy for Gifted Rogues. It would give me a place to stay, good food to eat and I would hopefully make some friends that would help me get over whatever I'm going through now.
When I got to my room that a really mean teacher escorted me to, I saw a girl on the other side of it sitting there in a chair chewing black licorice, with dark blue lips, and her feet on a coffee table. She was wearing light blue leggings, her really long dark blue hair down to her stomach.
"Oh gosh, I'm in trouble," I thought to myself.
"I'm Frostbite, but you can call me Maya since we will be spending the whole year together. Jyn I presume, right?" She said confidently.
"Yeah, Jyn Faust, but you can call me whatever you want. My crime name is Phoenix." I responded, even though I think it was a rhetorical question.
"Nice, Phoenix, you make it up yourself?" She asked.
"No my sis, she recently was killed by our mother." I responded sadly but with a hint of anger in my tone.
She must have heard the anger in my voice because she instantly changed the subject, or she didn't want to talk about my mother MURDERING her own daughter.
"So what are your powers? Mine are making ice, controlling it, and making ice portals." She said excitedly.
"Magic and tear healing, like a phoenix." I responded.
"Cool. Can I see your schedule?" She asked changing the subject again. I pulled out my schedule I got from my purple duffle bag and handed it to her. She examined the piece of paper.
"Lucky for you we have all of the same classes except for tech, but that's fine. OMG, I almost forgot, you've got to meet the team, I'll show you around, I got some free time anyway. I really think you'll like them!"
She was talking so fast I did not have time to respond. So I just gave a quick, "Ok," and went with her. Usually I wouldn't act so shy, I would be shouting my commands at her and screaming that I was the granddaughter of Ra's al Ghul, but I didn't want to ruin a friendship I hoped would last.
I started to walk to the door, then Maya just said, "No we don't need to do that." Then she created an ice portal, it dropped down over us and we just jumped out of the portal every time she showed me a place in the school.
We almost saw the whole place, the math room, library, Villain hall. I even got to see the principal, Dr. Luthor and the other professors, but now she brought me somewhere I did not recognise in any school, it looked like a secret base.
"What is this place?" I asked as Maya dropped the portal and we walked into the room.
"You'll see." She responds sneakily. I started to worry, what if this was a big prank and her being nice to me was the trap, but I'd be ready if it was an attack. I took a big gulp of air as I stepped in. I looked around, there was nobody else there but four kids in the back of the room maybe mine and Maya's age. I braced myself for an attack or something but nothing happened, Maya waved up to the four kids in the back.
"Hey guys come meet Jyn, she is my new roommate." She introduced every one of the kids once we had walked over. "This is Echo, she has superspeed, but her real name is Gabi although she likes Echo so we just call her that. Also she is really nice in school, but when fighting heroes don't bother her, she can be scary." Maya told me with a crack of a smile on her face.
Echo, gave me a slight wave. She had no freckles on her face but she had bright emerald green eyes and her hair was caramel brown and almost as long as Maya's.
"This is Wolf, she has telekinesis, sometimes she can be violent, but she is friendly. Her real name is Kim and she likes that, so Kim is fine for her." Maya explained. Kim gave me a little smile, she had a lot of freckles unlike Echo, and had shoulder length wavy ginger hair and very light hazel almost green eyes.
"CJ, he has super strength and yeah, he is just CJ He didn't let us make up a villain name for him." Maya pointed at CJ, he didn't wave or smile, he just had his head down. It was hard to see his whole face, I only saw his pale skin and part of his glowing bright blue eyes, his hair was a dark gray with a few streaks of black in it. "Yeah he's very inhibited."
"Around Maya." Kim teased under her breath. I gave her a confused look. Then the last boy that looked a bit like CJ gave Kim a scary look. Kim just rolled her eyes.
When Maya introduced me to the scary kid that gave Kim that look, "Invasion," he raised his hand and said, "Hey kid," but his lips were not moving, he had short blond hair and sky blue eyes.
"Hi?" I said back confused.
"Hey I told you not to use your telepathy on the new kid!" Maya said angrily to Invasion as she nudged him in the shoulder.
"Telepathy!" I thought, hitting myself in the head. I was glad Maya already introduced me to them. I was embarrassed from falling for the telepathy trick but I did not know why.
"Ya, his name is Dominic and we call him that!" Maya said, still angry with Domanic. "He and CJ are identical twin brothers, you don't need to worry about getting them mixed up because they have different hair color as you can see, but well they have the same face."
"Like our little base?" CJ asked, lifting his head.
"Yeah it's cool, how did Dr. Luthor allow this? I mean does everyone else have one?" I asked curiously.
"Well," Maya started.
"He doesn't allow it?" I finished her sentence.
"So what are your powers?" Kim asked, changing the subject.
"Well I have logomancy magic, which is if I say a word backwards like… book, backwards that would be, koob." Then a book appeared in my arms. I continued, "And I can heal myself and others with my tears." I answered, then I took out my magic wand from my pocket and expanded it.
The bottom was a dark purple instead of black and the tip turquoise instead of white. It was only my training wand but it was easier to use and made my spells more effective so I used it a lot.
"So when do we start robbing banks and killing supers?" I asked excitedly.
No one really answered me. Echo just said, "Oh she is going to fit in great."
Chapter four
Old friends
Today was my first day of school at the Academy for Gifted Rogues. It was a good thing I had Maya with me for almost all my classes because from her ice portal I didn't really know where everything was.
When I finished all my classes Maya showed me the real way to get to their base. I was glad I was finally a part of the group. Dominic even added me to their telepathic conversations. Before I thought it was weird having five other people in your head, but I got used to it. We were a team, a family, just what I needed.
"Jyn, want to have some fun? There is a jewelry store in downtown Gotham about to close-" Echo said slyly.
"Rob it? Of course!" I finished.
"Well then no time to waste let's get going!" Dominic said through the link.
Maya put up her hand and created an ice portal to bring the team in.
Once we got there I created five bags and gave it to each of them. "Evif sgab!"
"You're not looting?" CJ asked.
"No, I got to keep watch" I responded. "Just pack some extra for me." I said playfully. They all just gave a little smile and started looting the store.
I went outside to keep watch and a few seconds later I saw Batman grappling up to the shop we were robbing.
"Guys, we got company, it's Batman!" I said through the telepathic link.
"We'll be right out!" Maya responded, they were out of the store a few seconds later and joined me. By that time Batman was swinging onto the building rooftop and looked at the six of us for five seconds before Maya broke the silence. "Well if it isn't the Bat-" then Robin swung onto the rooftop with us. "Oh and the brat." she finished.
"Damian?" I whispered under my breath, then through the link I said "Guys, the brat is mine!"
"Sure we'll take the bat." Domanic and Kim say at the same time sneakily.
I walked over to Damian, and I said without thinking, "Hand to hand, only one weapon."
Damian puts down his utility belt which left only a wooden staff. I was surprised he actually listened, so I thought I would make it fair, and so I conjured up a wooden staff and put down everything else,"doow ffats."
We started to fight, he recognised my fighting style, "You fight like you were trained by the league of assassins." Damian blurted.
"Oh really, I wonder why?" I responded menacingly. I fought more, blocking every swing and hitting every chance I got. Then I blocked a head strike which made my arms go up showing a scar on my stomach. I only healed my flesh but not my skin so I needed to give myself stitches afterwards before I left the league.
"I only know one person that was stabbed in that part of the stomach and survived," Damian said while kicking my mask off.
"Jyn, what are you doing?" He said sadly.
"Oh you know, just continuing your grandfather's legacy that you couldn't!" I responded angrily. "Why did you betray us like this Damian! We were the GRANDCHILDREN of Ra's al Ghul! Oh and then you just decided to be Robin, the great son of Batman, huh?! And join a team of teenagers that call themselves the Teen Titans, and one of the members is the daughter of TRIGON! I thought we were still going to be friends after I left, but obviously not!" I said not getting any less angry.
"That's not how it was, and it was your choice if we were to be friends with each other after you left. Come join me, you don't need to live in the dark any longer, come." He said, extending his arm and opening his hand.
I felt the temptation to take his hand, be his sister again, but things had changed. I was no longer that girl with a family, a home. No, I was now a girl filled with vengeance and pain. I could not join him, I could not be susceptible to the light.
"No, I can't, I just can't. I am vengeance, I am pain, I was the daughter of a god, you have no idea how many people I have lost!" I said while opening my mouth to make what I hoped would be my last spell at him, "Ei-"
Then Maya screamed "Retreat!" and created an ice portal that brought us back to base. Stopping me from making that last spell at my old friend, Damian.
Chapter five
Wayne manor
(A/N: Jyn does not know Bruce Wayne is Batman.)
"What were you thinking?" Maya screamed at me, "You let Robin see your secret identity?"
"Well, I know his!" I blurted out.
"You could have knocked him out with one little spell! You're a witch!" Domanic shouted at me clenching his fists. Kim stepped toward him and gave him an 'it's okay' look and slipped her hand into his.
"Since when are they a couple?" I thought. Although I couldn't let this thought get in the way of what I needed. I opened my mouth to defend myself but nothing came out. "I-I-," but I just could not talk, and I did not know why.
"You could have helped us to take on the Bat-" Kim started.
Then without thinking my voice came back and I said, "Look I'm really sorry, it's just-"
"We don't need your explanation. We take you on your first fight with us and you blow it! Come on guys let's go." Maya said back sadly.
"Wow Maya, that's as cold as ice." I said, "Ouy evah ot eveileb em!" I shouted.
Then Domanic kicked me off of the telepathic link and I felt something I did not feel since Amanda died, loneliness.
I went up to my room but then I remembered that I was roommates with Maya, so I decided to get back into my Jyn outfit and ask Mr. Wayne for a place to sleep for the night. He could never resist a poor little girl that needed a place to stay.
I walked up to his house and rang the doorbell. His butler opened the door. "Um hello, I don't have a place to stay tonight and I was wondering if I could stay here." I said with a sniffle.
He didn't say anything to me, he just got Mr. Wayne. "Hello honey what's your name?" He asked me gently.
"Jyn," I responded with a sniffle.
"And your last name?" Mr. Wayne said back with an equally gentle voice as before.
"Oh ya, Fhath, Jyn Fhath." I responded quickly.
"Well, Jyn you can stay in one of the guest rooms. Alfred, my butler will show you where it is, you can stay in the one right next to my son's room. You look his age, I think you will get along well." Mr. Wayne said to me as Alfred showed me to the guest room.
"You may get settled here," Alfred said while opening the door to the room.
I peered into the stunning room, there was a golden chandelier, an amazing silver bed and so much more I could not describe.
"If you need anything I will be downstairs." Alfred said as I walked into the room.
"Um, by the way where is the bathroom?" I asked sweetly.
"Oh yes, down the hall and to the left, it is the blue door." He answered right back like it was muscle memory.
"Thanks?" I said back in a weird tone.
Alfred then walked down the hall and said to the boy in the next room, "We have a guest, say hello."
I saw the back of the boy's head, as he said, "I would love to but I got to get to the team, Kori is going to kill me if I'm late again!"
The boy went back into his room and came back out three seconds later with a black duffel bag with the name Wayne sewed into the back of it. He started to walk down the hallway where I was going, so I decided to go introduce myself to him before he left for his team thing.
I ran up to him, I wanted to meet a rich kid, I was about to say something like "Hey, I'll be staying for the night, have fun," or something else unlike my usual self. Then I saw his face. "OMG Damian! What the-!" I shouted.
"Jyn what are you doing here in my house! If you're here to hurt someone, then you can just forget about it-" He started, I sense his anger rising.
"Oh I'm not here to do anything to your family! I got kicked off my team because of you! And I needed a place to sleep for the night with no violence or anything! I didn't know you would be here!" I answered back angrily.
Then I realized something, it just snapped, "Wait, if your Damian WAYNE, and your dad is Bruce Wayne, and Robin's father is Batman, then Bruce Wayne is BATMAN!" I said with a shocked expression.
Damian just stared back at me equally shocked. Then he reaches for something in his bag.
"I said I don't want to fight! but I can't turn down a good offer, well not from the great son of Batman!" I said back sarcastically with a smile. I took out my wand, I wanted to win this fight by a longshot.
"Wait, not out here, you think Alfred, or worse father, will appreciate me and you fighting in the hallway of Wayne manor?" Damian pointed to the door of his room.
I walked into the room, it was even bigger than the guest room, but I couldn't allow myself to get distracted. I had a mission to achieve.
"Nust sllab," I start to throw little stun balls out of my palms. He dodged all of my hits. Well I guess I should have expected that.
"Ok, let's step up the game!" I said while blasting my wand to get it powered up. I pointed it at him, "kcuts!" I snapped. He tried to duck, but the spell kept him stuck in one place like a magnet. I snapped again and Damian was knocked out on the floor. I checked to make sure he was breathing. I didn't want him dead, in my mind he was still my brother.
I threw him onto his bed, "Steehs." Then his sheets covered him, I didn't want it to look so neat or it would be suspicious, but this is Damian we're talking about.
I put my index and middle fingers from my right hand on my forehead and my index and middle fingers from my left hand on his forehead, and erased his memories of the last five minutes, then I started to read his memories of the previous three years.
Before I could finish, I heard the sound of footsteps, so I quickly disconnected from his memories and grabbed his Robin mask from his bag. I slipped out of the room without being seen.
Alfred opened Damian's door, I was hoping he only thought that Damian was sleeping. "Oh Master Damian… you must be having a little nap." Alfred whispered while closing the door.
"I guess he never sleeps, let alone takes naps, well that is sort of expected, we both grew up in the league of assassins." I thought to myself.
I couldn't leave now as it would look suspicious, so I decided to stay the night anyway. Even though I had just what I needed to get back on the team, I squeezed Damian's mask in my left hand with a smile on my face, "I will get back on my team!" I thought happily.
Chapter six
Take me back!
I did all my homework, then I slipped into bed. I needed to get up early the next morning and I thought maybe I'd get up and slip out of the house before anyone woke up.
I lay in bed thinking about my plan to get back on the team. I actually missed them. Then I started to doze off.
All I heard was my alarm beeping off in my ear. I jumped up like there was a fire. I could not risk losing this. I got changed back into my casual clothes from the pajamas Alfred gave me.
I left a note on the bed stand saying, "Thank you for the place to stay for the night, but I have to get going." I grabbed Damian's mask and ran off to the academy.
I ran right down to the base, too see Maya opening her mouth to say something, but right then I slammed Damian's mask onto the coffee table in the center of the room. Everyone stared at me, jaws dropped.
"Ekat em kcab!" I shouted.
"You-you." Echo couldn't even finish her own sentence.
But CJ finished it for her, "You k-killed him?"
"Better, I even saw most of his memories!" I stated proudly.
"How did you get into his house, and-wait how did you know his secret identity." Maya said in a disbelieving tone.
"Well I already told you I knew his secret identity last night, remember?! Well whatever, to start, the brightly colored bird's name is Damian Wayne and rich papa Bruce Wayne, is Batman." I smirked.
"So that probably means that all the other Robins are related to or friends with the Bat!" Kim looked excited and disgusted at the same time, but I can't blame her.
Then I told them my story from the beginning, how I became Jyn and how I became Phoenix.
Chapter seven Justice League POV
Meeting at the hall
"And two bank robbers escaped out of Bell Rev but that's an easy fix so meet here next week?" Cyborg proudly announced.
"That is not everything." Batman cut them all off. "It's a pattern."
"You mind cutting us in?" Hal said while throwing a football up and down.
"All the kids we've been facing, all of them know our moves, our weaknesses. When to run and when to fight. Someone must have taught them that." He clicked a button on his wrist to pull up a green screen of villains. "Every single one has gone missing until now." He clicked another button showing the market value chart of LEXCORP.
Flash wiggled in his seat. Batman asked "Is it normal for so much money to go into pencils and folders? No, the answer is No, they aren't even being delivered to LEXCORP but to a school on the border of Gotham and Metropolis."
"Any more proof brainy black" Teased Hal.
"I put a tracker on some kids, proof enough?" Batman retorted. "We take them down once and for all."
"We don't kill." Superman stated.
"I don't mean killing. I give Damian lectures about justice not vengeance all the time, I want 'justice not vengeance' to be his last words." Batman said.
"Okay let's take these kids down!" Cyborg said.
"Vic, we're taking Lex down." Superman corrected him.
"Okay, let's take them down!" Everyone shouted.
Chapter eight Damian's POV
Remember
My head hurt like crazy and I was really cold. "What happened to me?" I thought. "Last thing I remember was going off to be with the Titans, I probably just got into another fight with little blue."
I went downstairs, Father, Dick and Alfred were all sitting there. It's like they were all waiting for something. They never acted like this.
The second Alfred saw me he said, "Oh Master Damian, thank heavens your safe!" He looked scared.
"Yes Alfred of course I am fine." I answered with the expression on my face that told them to explain!
"Well… I went to your bedroom last night and at first I thought you were sleeping, but when I came back to your room in the morning you were still in bed. Well that is not you, I went up to you to make sure you were okay… a-and you would not wake up. Your pulse was strong, so I informed your father and he said to let you snap out of it, you are strong." He said with a stutter, he could hardly get the words out of his mouth.
My head dropped and I landed on my hands and knees. My head was aching even worse now, I almost fainted, but I was strong. I could not!
Then I remembered, "Jyn, no!" I mumbled.
"You know Jyn? She was at the house last night." Father informed me.
"Okay now I have two things to say to that!" I struggled to my feet. "One, why would you let a criminal into Wayne Manor, and two, DO I KNOW HER? I trained with her in the league!" I continued, my voice getting louder.
"That sweat girl? A criminal trained by the league of assassins?" Father could not believe it.
"Oh and it gets worse, her father is Felix Fuast, and she has her mother, Zatanna's powers plus tear healing. I have seen her use those powers. I am sorry I did not tell you about her before, I did not think she would be this important. She was like my sister!" I continued, my voice getting lower. I felt a little tear dropping down my cheek, but I fought it back. I told myself I will not cry, I am strong. "She must have put a curse on me." I chuckled quietly. Dick looked like he just saw an elephant fly, he could not believe there was a small tear coming down my cheek. "She was my first friend, I cared for her. She was one of the kids robbing the bank yesterday, she was the one fighting me. I asked her to join me, be brother and sister again, but she is still Vengeance. I wish I could help her." I started to feel really sad but I still didn't let any more tears trickle down my face.
"It's a good thing I put trackers on her little friends before they fled." Father said coldly. I was on the floor again so I could not see fathers expression but his voice told me everything. "Also does Zatanna know what happened to her?" He asked but did not wait for an answer.
"Oh and I'm coming with you. I'd like to know what she did to Damian, she must have messed him up real bad." Dick said with a smile.
Father gave Dick a bat glare, "Okay-okay, I just want to go, is that okay!" Dick put his head down. Dick and Father jumped into the batmobile and were on their way.
Chapter nine Jyn POV
Choky mood
"Okay, can we get back to base? I need food! Math class makes me hungry, race you!" Kim shouted impationly, already running down the hall.
Echo rolled her eyes. "Who is she kidding? She doesn't have superspeed." Echo started to run down the hall, catching up with her.
"Come on guys," said Maya, then without any warning she created an ice portal to bring the rest of us back to base.
"Hello, kids." A low familiar voice said. We turned around to find Batman holding Echo in a clasping hand choke.
She tried to faze out of the choke, but she always had trouble fazing through bone. She was gasping for air, then her eyes closed and she passed out.
I started to panic, but I needed to play it cool, I couldn't let Batman choke her any more, I could not let Echo die!
"What did you do to Robin!?" Batman shouted at me.
As calmly as possible, I just said, "Oh come on Batsy, you really do need anger management. I gave that traitor what he deserved!"
Then Batman let go of Echo and came at me, just like I wanted, then before I knew it I was in the choke. "Tell me what you did to him!" He shouted, his voice getting louder.
Now I was getting angry, I wanted to punch his guts out! I then snapped my finger and chanted "dezilarap," then Batman was stuck in place, paralized for five minutes.
I ducked out of his 'choke' and just said "I knocked him out, then looked at most of his memories." I winked and smiled.
"Batman, can we now get out of here, we got what we need to know!" Nightwing's ugly voice broke the beautiful moment, he was outside the window sitting on the bat cycle.
"Oh, so that is how he got in! We really need to seal those windows!" I say playfully.
Then something I did not expect happened, Batman broke out of his paralyzation.
"What? Your minutes aren't up!" I screamed at him getting impatient.
He threw a batarang at the window lock opening it even more, then went for Maya and put her in a choke.
"Bring me to your Boss….Principal." He demanded.
"You are sure in a choky mood, Batsy." Kim came running into the room. She levitated the coffee table above him, then dropped it on his head, it knocked him out.
"Took you long enough," Maya said while rolling her neck back and forth.
"Well, you can thank Dominic for that. He told me that the little bat was here and I should come in with a dramatic entrance." She winked while tapping her head.
"Now I get why you were being so useless." Maya shot a glance at Domanic.
We all smiled and laughed for a little. For the first time in a long time I was happy.
Chapter ten Nightwing POV
I'll get him back
I saw those children smiling and giggling, while Bruce was on the floor, unconscious. "I need to go into that room, see if Bruce was breathing and bring him back to the cave." I thought. Doubt rushed through my body, "What if he was dead? I couldn't take on the mantle of the Bat, again!"
"There was only one thing to do. Go in there, fight those stupid kids and get Bruce out of there." I said out loud, but thankfully nobody heard me.
I jumped off the batcycle and hopped in through the window. "Hello, ladies" I said in a cool voice.
"Hey forgot about us?" The two boys in the back were crossing their arms over their chests.
Jyn rolled her eyes, "Oh yeah, we forgot that you were here, Nightwing. Ah whatever, just attack the man. Who cares about him!"
"Can't say no to that!" The first girl that Bruce was holding first said while cracking her knuckles.
I took out my fighting sticks, ready to attack, but Jyn snapped her fingers and they disappeared.
Panic, fear and doubt rushed through my body. "Boy, she has got a thing with snapping!" I thought.
"You should really be more whelmed!" Jyn said sarcastically.
"Oh I'm more than whelmed" I said back with a smirk.
The girl with long dark blue hair came at me first, she started to throw icicles at me, but I dodged all of her hits.
"Now Invasion! Hit him where it hurts!" She screamed to one of the boys in the back while still shooting icicles at me from her palms.
I then started to feel dizzy. My head was spinning. I was hardly dodging the icicles being thrown at me.
I started to see visions, the Titans being tortured, Kori falling to the floor, Damian dieing in Bruce's arms. "Pain!" I screamed, holding my head like I'm going crazy!
"Okay, we don't want to scare him away." A low familiar voice said.
The visions stopped, I opened my eyes and turned around to find Lex Luthor smiling, looking very proud of himself.
My jaw dropped, and I froze in place, and the girl that was shooting icicles at me shot me in the stomach with one.
Then my vision went dark.
Chapter eleven Lex Luthor POV
"You guys were always my best students." I smiled.
"Thank you Dr. Luthor, but Batman and Nightwing are only temporarily knocked out, they will both be waking up soon." Jyn said, looking very nervous.
"Let's get these two into the lab." I said sneakaly.
Everyone looked excited, except Maya and Jyn, they were clearly concerned.
We walked to the science lab in silence until Maya said, "How did you know about our base?" Everyone stared at me.
"Oh, I knew about it the whole time. You think I would let my best students do their crime plotting in their dorms?" I smiled.
They all looked like they saw a bear do a backflip.
"Dr. Luthor look out!" CJ screamed while punching something behind me.
I turned around to see Batman falling back into the cart we were carrying him and Nightwing on.
"Well if you knew about our base… how did you know to come when we were fighting the birds? It wasn't Dominic, was it?!" Maya said, glaring at Dominic.
"Oh no, it wasn't Dominic. Kim ran up to me and said the bat was here, she said to come in after her, I do just love a dramatic entrance." I explained.
Kim looked proud. Now Maya's gaze was at Kim. We stood there for a couple more seconds, then we continued to the lab.
"Ah Miss. Ivy, we have a little problem." I said as we rolled the cart of heroes into the lab.
"Ooh a pest problem, I'd be happy to exterminate them for you." Miss Ivy said sneakily.
I opened my mouth to speak but Jyn talked first.
"Oh, well we would love that but, we'd like to do some analysis on their brains first." Jyn cut me off. I agreed with her.
"Well then, we better get them into the tubes." Ivy said sneakily again. Jyn looked proud of herself. "I think the other students should know of these students' accomplishments, don't you Dr. Luthor?" Ivy asked.
"I think that the team that brought these things in should choose." I looked at them, "So?"
"What is the harm in it? You?" Maya asked her teammates. They nodded.
"Then it's settled, we have nothing to hide!" I had a smile on my face.
We walked into the hallway of my amazing school when Jyn screamed, "Wait! Something is not right!"
Chapter twelve CJ POV
"Something is wrong, something is definitely not right!" Jyn held her head like she was going crazy.
The bell rang indicating the end of second period, students poured into the halls, talking so loud it was hard for even me to hear.
"Freeze, everybody freeze! Before I freeze you!" Maya screamed. Usually if someone screamed as loud as she just did they would be red in the face, but she looked as pale as normal. Her cheeks still as pale as usual, her lips still as blue as usual.
She turned around to Jyn, her hair flowing. She quickly turned her head around back at me, "Would you not stare?" She asked me in a disgusted voice, one that the whole school could hear. She looked the same, her facial expression the same as usual.
I wanted to smile, like every time I see her, but I didn't want to make her angry. I put my head down with a crack of a smile on my face that I couldn't hold back.
She turned back around to Jyn again, all the students watching her.
"What is it Jyn? What isn't right?" Maya's voice was calm and sweet.
"I don't know, I just sense something isn't right." Jyn started to get more nervous.
"I sense it too, before I thought it was just you and Jyn being nervous, but I-I just don't know." My almost identical twin said while stepping closer to Maya and Jyn. Dominic put a hand on Jyn's shoulder, "Don't worry." He sounded so sincere, not menacing like his usual voice.
The students started to squirm, they were getting impatient. "It's like you want me to freeze you out of your skins!" Maya shouted so loud but like before she looked the same. They all stood still again.
Dominic put his left and right index and middle fingers on his forehead and closed his eyes. He opened them again thirty seconds later and pointed to a boy in the back of the crowd.
"Okay, now that you pointed at me can I go back to class, I don't want to get detention like the rest of these people!" The boy said.
"I'll excuse you! But wait, you don't go to this school, what is your name?" Dr. Luthor shouted at him.
"Um… bye!" The boy started to run but as he did it looked like he got covered by a blue suit coming from his back.
"That is Blue Beetle the Titan! How did you let a Titan get into your villain school!" Jyn shouted at our principal.
He looked so surprised, I wasn't sure if it was because there was a Titan in his mostly secret villain school or if it was because one of his best/ newest students was shouting at him.
Chapter thirteen Blue Beetle POV
The chase
They started to push through the crowd, I started to run faster and they started to chase me. "Oh come on, I shouldn't have tried to save Batman and Nightwing from this place I'm in way over my head." I said to the bug.
"Boy, stop right now!" The boy that was pointing at me said.
I started blasting them, I then hit the girl Maya right in the arm with a sonic blast. She screamed in pain, "Ahhh!" The boy that had his head down before dropped down to his knees to help her.
They all stopped for a split second, but the boy that was with Maya shouted, "No get him! Nobody gets to hurt my friends!"
I ran down the other side of the hall and ran into the closest dorm to me.
"This is not a good idea, this room could belong to anyone." The bug warned in my head.
I pressed my ear against the wall, Maya and the boy were on the other side.
"CJ, you don't need to act like you care about me, I'll be fine. I just need to freeze over the wound, AHHH!" Her voice cracked.
"I-I," CJ stutered, I couldn't hear the rest of what he said but I'm happy I didn't, it was probably about him caring about her.
I knew their team would soon find me, I needed to get Dick and Batman out quickly.
The door to a closet opened, I couldn't turn around, what if it was one of them?
"Hello Blue. What are you doing against the wall of a dorm?" A voice I recognised said.
I quickly turned around with a smile on my face "Oh Damian thank-" Then I saw one of the girls that was with Maya and Jyn before, holding a black device up to her mouth, it was making her voice sound like Damian's.
She must have had super speed because she appeared behind me, before she was at the door. She put an inhibitor collar on my neck, I could break out of it any time I wanted, so I decided to play along so I could see where they were keeping Dick and Batman.
She pushed me out of the room and waved her hand, then Jyn appeared from around the corner.
"Oh, you found him." She looked very calm.
"No thanks to your device!" The girl that was holding me said and then threw the black device back to Jyn.
"Hey scarub, scan that device now." I said in my head to the bug.
"Analysis complete. It is a voice changing device made from scratch." The scarab said back.
"Gee thanks." I thought sarcastically.
"Thanks Echo!" It was like Jyn forgot I was there.
"Well um I'd hate to break up a good friendship moment but I should probably get to my boss and teammate, then get out of here. So bye." I said sarcastically while I tried to run out of the room.
"Not so fast. I'm the only one that can do that. " Jyn nodded her head to Echo. She held my wrists together in a firm grip and escorted me down the hall.
"Well you wanted to be with your 'boss and teammate' so here you go." Echo shoved me into a room as she followed 2 seconds after.
Chapter fourteen Blue Beetle POV
Escape
She shoved me into the room they were keeping Batman and Nightwing in. She looked so happy to be 'in charge'.
I wobbled a bit then steaded myself. Nightwing saw me, "Blue what are you doing here!" He sounded angry.
Echo shoved me further into the room, tightened my inhibitor collar, then let go of me with one last shove.
Nightwing was on one couch sitting uncomfortably. Batman was unresponsive on the other couch.
"Don't worry about him, he is just knocked out." He said flatly. He scooted a bit closer to me.
"Na-ah" Echo was holding something with a blue button on it. Nightwing held his neck. When he took his hand off I saw there was a red-black chip.
"It's an inhibitor chip, but I see you have the collar. You can't use your powers and well if I move I get zapped." Nightwing explained.
"I'll leave you guys to it." Echo smiled while rolling her eyes and shutting the door behind her.
"Okay I'm finally free!" I said while breaking the inhibitor collar off my neck.
" I see neither you nor Batman have your utility belts on you, so this will have to do ." I transformed my finger into a lockpick and used it on Nightwing's chip. "Perfect," the chip snapped right off. Now I started to work on Batman's, his came right off like Nightwing's.
I crushed the chips, "Let's get out of here." My voice was firm and quiet at the same time.
"I got Batman." Nightwing said while walking over to him, picking him up and rapping him around his shoulders. I shifted one of my fingers again into a key that unlocked the window, "crackkk," it opened.
I spread my wings, carrying Nightwing who was holding Batman around his neck.
We landed on the floor with a thud, Nightwing and Batman's combined weight was too heavy. " The bug can't hold us all for any longer," I said, catching my breath, " We will have to get back to the team by foot."
"Let's get with the program and run!" Nightwing implied as he brought Batman back on his shoulders.
We started pacing through the dense grass in the yard that we landed on, avoiding the cameras. "We are about 1 mile from Titan tower." I started to walk faster.
"Hey wait, this guy is heavy, slow down!" Nightwing was panting for air, it was the first time I saw him tired.
"Hey, well I can take him, it's just both of you I can't carry." I extended my arms making a motion to come forward and give him to me.
He put Batman in my arms. The scarab suddenly shot out scorpion arms that started pecking at Batman.
"What are you doing!" Nightwing shouted at me.
"I don't know, the suit is doing it itself!"
Batman gasped awake, "What is going on here!" Batman gave me a bat glare. I turned my head to the left, away from his face.
"Put me down!" He demanded.
"Oh, yeah, sorry." I quickly put him down and helped him stand up. "Can you walk fine?"
He did not answer, just gave me another bat glare and started to walk on like he already knew where we were going. We continued jogging forward trying to find the exit.
We sped up our pace even more, "Hey you!" a group of kids were walking across the field in front of the gate. One of them was pointing at us. One other joined him and screamed, "It's Batman get him!"
"Time to run!" I screamed, grabbing Nightwing and Batman and using my last bit of strength and flying them over the gate that the kids we're probably protecting.
We landed on the other side, and Nightwing called out "Come on let's get back to the Tower. The rest of the team plus Alfred is probably worried sick about us." He had a chuckle in his voice, we ran in the direction of Titan Tower.
Chapter fifteen Jyn POV
Anger
"What, NOOOOOO! You let them get away!?" How!?" I screamed at Echo as we walked into the room where Batman, Nightwing and Blue Beetle were held in. "No! Dr. Luthor put his trust in me and I let him down! NOOO!"
"Oh, come on. Nobody knew the inhibitor collar wouldn't work on the beetle." Maya comforted me, but I was still soooo angry I actually had a tear in my eye, I could smash Echo's head into the wall! I wanted to rip her face off!
Maya told me all the facts about how I couldn't have known. That calmed me down a bit although I was still pretty angry.
Maya brought me down to our room and sat on her bed. "Maya, you know when I first came to this school I hoped that I would find friends that would help me through this, but for a moment I thought that, well this isn't a school full of supers, these are villains… but don't get me wrong I do love this lifestyle, it's the best… but I guess what I'm trying to say is that you're the best friend that I could ever ask for, I am the luckiest person to have an amazing friend that doesn't betray me at any moment, you are THE BEST FRIEND EVER!" I said breaking the silence. "Do you know how much your friendship means to me?" I asked.
Maya had a small tear on her face, but two seconds later the tear froze completely to ice, "What can I say, I'm as cold as ice." Now she had five streaks of ice on her face.
Then we did our homework together, since we technically missed all of our classes, our classwork turned into homework.
We did our 'homework' for three hours, then talked even more. By the time we finished talking it was lights out so we went to bed.
Chapter sixteen Maya POV
Wings
"Ahhh, Ahhhh!" Jyn was screaming and tossing and turning in her bed.
My eyes opened for a split second, then closed again. I wanted to curl up into a ball and sleep until spring came again.
"Urgh, it was probably just another nightmare about her mother. Urgh, now I need to get Dominic to kick her out of the dream again! She is going to wake the whole school again!" I thought.
I walked over to the twin's room. I knocked on the door, and six seconds later CJ opened it.
"Oh, Maya what are you doing here?" CJ looked tired but had a smile on his face like usual.
"Jyn is having another nightmare, but it's worse this time she'll wake the whole school." I answered.
"Again!" CJ added.
CJ went back into the room to get Dominic. He shook him then told him that I was here and Jyn was trapped in another nightmare.
Both CJ and Dominic came out of the room, "Okay, lets go." Dominic said flatly.
We ran over to mine and Jyn's room, and Dominic stepped into the room then me and CJ sat on my bed.
Dominic sat on Jyn's bed and placed his right hand on her forehead. He closed his eyes for eight seconds then he opened them and Jyn gasped awake.
"She was not in a nightmare. She was dreaming she was in the perfect life." Dominic looked confused.
"Don't we all? Then why was she screaming?" I asked.
"Anyone think about asking me?" Jyn cut in.
"Okay then what was it?" CJ asked.
Jyn shrugged her shoulders and sat up.
I stared at Jyn, she had light red huge hawk wings, they were like hawk girl's wings ripped through her pajama top.
CJ and Dominic both gasped and had their eyes locked on Jyn's new wings.
Echo and Kim burst into the room, "We heard Jyn scre-" Kim cut herself off when she saw what Jyn had connected to her back.
"How long have you had those?" CJ looked like he was ready to faint.
"What, why is everyone staring?" Jyn looked so confused, "What? Answer me!" She demanded.
"W-w-wings" Echo stuttered.
"Um, D…?" Kim stuttered stepping toward Dominic.
Jyn turned her head to the big mirror on our wall next to my bed. She froze like she just saw the most impossible thing ever happen.
"It must have been from you shouting and getting really angry yesterday." Dominic said.
"Stress gave her wings!?" Everyone in the room apart from Jyn shouted at Dominic.
"Dude, do you need to make it sound like I was a baby having a temper tantrum? But wait, that isn't such a bad theory. Was I crying?" Jyn asked.
"You had a tear in your eye when you were screaming at Echo last night." I answered.
"Wait, then that's it! When I was stabbed and I got my powers, I must not have gotten the full extent of my powers!" Jyn looked so happy. "That's why I was screaming, the pain of growing wings." Jyn rejoiced.
"Wait, but then why didn't you get the wings when you cried trying to save Amanda? Maybe we should go see a professor?" Dominic suggested while still holding Kim in a hug.
"How did you know all of that? I told you not to go into my head!" Jyn shouted at Dominic.
"What I'm a villain, not a hero." Dominic said. "I don't need to listen to you be scared about what I'll find in your head." He continued. "Although-"
"And we're not going to a processor, it's the middle of the night, they will be sleeping." Jyn said cutting him off.
"Fine, tomorrow morning, before first period." I argued. "I don't want to miss school again!" I joked.
"And we're staying, we are helping you through this, we're your best friends girl!" Kim said with a smile lifting her head from Dominic's hug.
Chapter seventeen 3rd person POV
Practice
Jyn, Maya, Echo, Kim, Dominic and CJ all walked out of the school building the second the bell rang indicating the end of last period.
"Okay, well now that we know that Jyn was correct about her amazing crying skills, let's play with the wings! I want to see her in action!" Echo screamed as she ran onto the school field. "Come on!" The speedster motioned for her teammates to join her.
The five other students ran toward her, "Okay, fine. I'll try." Jyn sighed. She tried opening and closing her wings like a bird. It was much easier to master her other powers.
She tried lifting off the ground, she got five inches above ground and her wings started to beat really fast, she looked like a hummingbird.
"No. It hurts too much. They aren't supposed to beat that fast, they are supposed to beat slower." The magician dropped to the ground.
"Wait, I think I know what will help." Kim had a crack of a smile on her face. She lifted Jyn up into the air with her telekinesis. "Now please flap your wings! I don't have super strength!"
Jyn flapped her wings slowly but hard, Kim kept her hands up but let go with the telekinesis. Jyn still stayed up, four feet in the air flapping her wings just like Thanagarians would.
Kim put her hands down, now Jyn looked scared but she stayed up in the air, she slowly flew up a few more feet then down back to the ground.
"Wow, nice job!" Maya high-fived Jyn.
Jyn's eyes were warm and thankful, "Thanks Kim, I guess I really needed that confidence boost." Kim didn't say anything she just winked and smiled.
They practiced more on the field for four more hours until it looked like Jyn had mastered her wings. All she needed was to jump up at least seven inches off the ground, then her wings would take control and she could fly up as high as there was air and could fly 87 miles per hour.
They all stayed out in the field except Maya. She went to bed and Jyn said that she would catch up with her soon.
"Dude you're being too obvious about your little crush on Maya." Dominic said with a smile to his twin brother.
"Yeah CJ, it's like she's the only one that doesn't know about it, she'll find out soon." Echo said with an even bigger playful smile than Dominic.
"I might be the one to tell her." Jyn teased.
"You wouldn't?" CJ looked concerned.
"Look, I see that you're not the cool twin that's always in people's heads but that was something called teasing, she wouldn't dare." Dominic lectured CJ.
"And if you do I will pop your brain out!" Dominic told Jyn telepathically. Jyn just rolled her eyes. Then the five of them raced inside to catch up with Maya.
Chapter eighteen. Three years later, Jyn POV
With loss there is sometimes gain
"Maya! NOOOO!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
I only heard Maya's last words, "Get out of here….. save yourself….. fly…..Phoenix…..fly..." She and the others had blood gushing out of their necks from being clawed through the throats by parademons. Right before Maya collapsed to the ground she leaned into CJ and kissed him, it only lasted two seconds before her and CJ both fell to the ground, Maya never knew about CJ's love for her, but she did love him too.
"No, no, no! Not again, NOT AGAIN!" My eyes start to pour with tears. I wanted to heal them, I could, but no, I needed to run away. I didn't want the same fate as them! I couldn't! They would kill me themselves if I sacrificed myself for them and I didn't even know my tear healing would work on already dead people with cuts through their throats.
I heard the parademons growling so I left my friends' dead bodies and flapped my wings and shot up into the air with the parademons right behind me. "Emoc kcab ot em!" I shouted down before I flew so high my view of them was covered.
"I need to go somewhere safe, where the parademons can't get to me. I can't go back to the school because it has been closed for the last two years, ever since most of the Justice League died for some reason. I don't have any family anymore but I need to be protected. I saw what they did to us, they killed them! I'm the only one left! I have to go back to the League of Assassins. My family must be there, the al Ghuls have to be there!" I shout out loud, tears still dripping down my face.
I dropped down onto the visitors entrance. It was a new place, smaller but still home. All at once five people wearing the league ninja outfits jumped out of the shadows. I felt better seeing them, then Shiva walked out to join us, probably head of security.
"Whoa, whoa. It's me, Jyn!" I shouted as they looked like they were about to attack. I quickly took my dark red mask off, which I got from the league. Ever since I got my rose color wings, I changed my outfit from the purple one Amanda made me to a light and dark red outfit made personally for me by the girls. Because of the wings it was hard to wear normal clothes.
"Lady Jyn! Oh, your brother will be overjoyed to see you!" Shiva looked so happy to see me although I only knew her for a year before I left the league. Students that joined after I was adopted by grandfather didn't know I was the daughter of Felix Faust, they thought I was Ra's al Ghul's granddaughter.
Shiva and Damian were also alway the most serious students in the league. "Much has changed. I will call for master Damian." Shiva walked back into the building to get Damian.
Damian appeared, wearing the league assassins masters outfit. My eyes opened wide, I blinked twice. This is probably what Shiva meant by 'much has changed'.
"Damian, I have a good reason to be here! Please hear me out!" I then told him why I came and what happened to my friends.
"I'm" we both said at the same time. "Sorry!" we both exhaled.
I continued, "About everything, I'm just so sorry! I should have never fought you, I should have never tried to do anything, I'm just so sorry-so sorry." I apologized, my voice was soft. "You probably think I've gone soft, but it is just when you lose so many people, Grandfather, my father, my sister, my friends, when I thought I lost you to the hero business. I just…."
"Look, I get it. I lost everyone too. Darksied got my father, killed all of the Titans. Raven and I are the only ones left of them. He killed everyone, Nightwing, everyone! Although I must stay strong, for everybody. You also need to stay strong, and I don't think you have gone soft, people said the same thing about me when I joined my father." Damian placed his hand on my shoulder.
"But still, I was young and stupid, it was three years ago. I still shouldn't have tried to fight you! It was stupid! You were my brother, my best friend and I don't need your pity." I confessed. "Will you take me in, can I stay. Be an al Ghul again?" I asked.
"All right, sister. Although you will need to redo your training tests and prove your loyalty." He said back.
"I am ready to do whatever it takes! I want to be an Al Ghul again, and not just for protection, for being an amazing fighter again. I'm tired of being just the magic girl with wings." I smiled.
Chapter nineteen Jyn POV
The end
"Alright, I don't have anything else to do, so we can do your tests now. Let's see how good you still are." Damian said. He kept a straight face but I knew he was happy to be with me again. "Still remember the test drills?" He asked. "Oh, and also no wings nor magic."
"Yes, I know the drills and yup, I know, no magic or wings." I quickly wiped the smile off my face hoping that I wouldn't get points off for grinning.
We went into the new place and then came out through the back entrance, there were bows and arrows, swords and all sorts of weapons. It reminded me of six years ago when I was back at the league. So many fond memories. "I can't believe I left this place, if I didn't it would be so different and…and." I thought to myself.
"Start." Damian said blankly. He said it like a real master of the league, I was so happy for him.
I quickly started the drill. Then once I was finished Damian nodded at one of the guards and he brought me a league of assassins uniform. "You have passed, you are now one of the league of assassins again." I could see Damian holding back a smile, he never smiled before.
I grinned happily, "I will alter this to fit my wings later, Thank you. You have no idea how much this means to me."
Damian called out the other students and we all trained together, just like old times. A real al Ghul again.
