AN: In advance, my editor/beta reader and I warn all readers that this may not be everyone's cup of tea. In that case, we ask that you simply respect that some people will find this concept of interest and move on to find something more to your tastes. Fanfiction should be a celebration of what you liked about a franchise, rather than a reason to complain about what you didn't; do as you would be done by and just don't read this if you find it's not your proverbial cup of tea.

This is a new idea that I originally wanted to come out in Tales of Milikan but the plot of it seemed to complex and long to add as just a one-shot, therefore it's now a multi-chapter story where Ginny and this new OC are the main characters.

I plan to write up to chapter 3 before heading back over to Tales of Milikan and then Double Life once more.

I hope you all enjoy another story about Ginny under hypnosis. Sorry, I just really love Ginny under hypnosis.

Enjoy…

Song of An Egyptian Goddess

Chapter 1- Secrets of the Pyramids

October 23rd, 880 BC

If someone had told this young woman, at any point prior to her teenage years, that one day she would be fatally ill at only the age of 17, she would laugh at you and call you a liar as she was a picture of perfect health. The dark-skinned teenager's change of fortune had occurred during her fifteenth year, too weak to even pull along a barrel full of water back to the small hut that served as her home. She had sent her younger brother and sister up ahead to fetch the horses for them to ride back home which turned out to be a mistake as she was left gasping for breath on the hot dunes.

The young teen hollered for help in varied gasps, but nothing from her lips reached the ears of anyone nearby, except for her pet hawk that landed to see if she was alright. This hawk was old and wouldn't be around much longer, but the dark haired teenager appreciated the comfort the hawk brought her by protecting her for who knows how long.

"He-hel-he-help m-me." came a cry from the girl. It was useless as it still came out in a strangled whisper.

Sensing that its owner wanted help, the hawk took to the sky and left for town a mile away.

Twenty minutes after she had dropped she was discovered grasping her stomach thanks to the hawk getting help from those the family knew. Despite all their efforts, no one could guess what this strange sickness was and how it had just randomly occurred one day out of the blue in the body of this young girl.

Her parents and siblings tried everything to figure out how to save the eldest child in the family, praying, taking whatever help from doctors they could find and or enlist to help. Even military guards tried to help, taking trips to other outlying African kingdoms for aid, but nothing worked to the despair of the family.

Two years have passed since that tragic day the young teen had dropped to the ground. To this day the girl's health was deteriorating, and it was basically agreed among all concerned parties that the dark-skinned girl's strange illness would end her life in a matter of weeks at the most.

Suddenly, with just over a week (if anyone had the equipment and insight to share that view) to go, the girl's father rushed back into the house yelling at her mother to pack whatever she needed as they needed to go on a trip. This trip, her father told her that night, would save her life; he had encountered a traveler from some other place who had allegedly possessed great insight into these matters.

A few days later, this particular family could be found out on a boat out in the middle of the ocean, destined to seek out the land that would hold the power to save their daughter.

A young ill teenager lay on a comfortable bed in the boat's cabin. Her eyes fluttered slowly and tiredly. It was then that the girl noticed something seemed off. She was staring at the sky, which ended as her mother stepped into her field of view.

"Where…?" the 17-year-old named Femi asked weakly. "Where… are we… mother?"

It truly broke her mother's heart to see how weak the girl had become recently, the vibrant teenager now barely able to speak due to her life-threatening sickness.

Her father and mother turned to give her a sad look but one that was resolute. What they planned to do would be risky, but it would be worth it to restore their daughter's health.

"We are on our way to the land of the Greek kingdoms to pray to one of their gods," explained her worrying mother as she tended to her sick eldest daughter. "We heard from a traveler that one of their godly entities can help bring your health back to normal."

Looking around, Femi didn't notice her brother and sister, worried about their safety she asked for their whereabouts. In response her mother put a wet towel on her head, whispering assurances that her siblings were safe with her mother's sister, which at least made her feel better for the moment…

"I see land," her father suddenly called out, voice raised as he addressed the rest of the ship. "If I am correct then this must be the island of Crete, and inland for about two miles should be an old temple, dedicated to the Goddess Alala, a goddess who is said to have been a myth even among these Greek kingdoms."

"W-why…" Femi was interrupted by a cough. Her mother prepared a cup of water for her to drink before the young teen was able to speak again. "Why are we g-going to the Greek kingdoms? If we're spotted… they won't like us around...?"

"Are we a militaristic force, daughter?" her father questioned her as the ship neared the beach they would settle on, curious to see what his beloved daughter's answer would be regarding their expedition to this land. As far as Femi was concerned, if visitors weren't invited to foreign lands, then they would run the risk of being attacked, even if they were just simple civilian vessels.

"Well no… but papa… people traveling to other kingdoms…"

"Nothing will happen to us my dear. We are simply travelers in need of help for you."

About thirty minutes passed before the boat reached the shoreline and Femi, carried on a small bed by her parents, was carried through the hot forest of this large island, all three unaware that they were being watched from the bushes.

The path wasn't what Femi thought it would be. In her mind she thought it would have been filled with traps or bandits, but there was nothing here particularly out of the ordinary. The only true threat they encountered was in the form of a bear, and her father easily managed to kill the beast with his spear before they continued along the route.

Femi began to cough violently as they reached a large building that had to be the temple of the goddess, missing her parents' worried exchange of glances at this new evidence of her worsening condition. Her father nearly wanted to scream to the heavens for doing the trip at the last minute, but his wife assured him that they made it just in time as they set their daughter up on the ritual table, before they stepped down to the bottom of the ritual podium and began to pray.

A violent storm began to ensue five minutes later to the surprise of the parents, while Femi, seemingly unconscious again, was in reality seeing a vision in her mind of the person her parents had summoned.

For her part, Femi experienced a sense of sudden cold and her eyes snapped open in shock. She was standing in a dark void with shelves stacked to the brim with scrolls and texts, the floor covered in stone and ankle high water. What was supposed to be the sky was a perfect image of the night sky, but at closer inspection they looked to be windows back into the real world.

There was no sound in this place but the sound of the water crashing against the barriers of this strange place. Femi reached down with her hand, collected some water, brought it to her lips and gulped it down to discover the water was indeed real and drinkable.

"Where am I?" Femi asked more in fear than wonder. "Am I... dead?"

"No."

Femi spun around, eyes wide in shock that someone else was here, and took a defensive stance from what her father taught her when she was a little girl. Standing before her was a beautiful woman in what appeared to be the armor of a Greek warrior, the clothing she wore underneath the armor a mix of black and green cloth, with dark purple trims and a knee-length skirt around her waist. Her helmet was spiky on the top, and while little of her face was covered, it would be enough to protect her in a fight.

The warrior woman smiled at her guest. "Welcome my child. I am the Greek goddess Alala. I am pleased to be in the presence of an Egyptian. I hear your people are quite brave and stubborn in battle." Femi was stunned speechless, allowing Alala to continue speaking. "It is very unfortunate to hear of your ailing health. But, with my powers I am here to correct that issue and save your life before you go into the great beyond."

"Y-you can save me?" Femi asked, looking uncertainly at the woman, only to jump back in surprise as the woman held out her bare hands and suddenly produced weapons out of thin air. It might not be proof of an ability to heal, but anyone capable of that certainly had unusual powers.

"I can," the self-identified Alala confirmed, banishing the weapons as suddenly as they had appeared before holding out her hand to the young Egyptian. "If you take my hand, young one, I shall give you the power that will save your life... But I should warn you, if you accept my offer, you will cease to age once you reach the age of twenty, and will gain new powers and strength beyond what you possessed even before your illness."

"So… I-I'd be like… you?" Femi asked, looking uncertainly at the woman.

"Is that acceptable?" Alala asked, looking curiously at Femi. "Would you wish to be immortal?"

"If it saves my life…" Femi began, trailing off as she tried to consider it. The idea of outliving her family and friends was disheartening, but the thought of dying like this, so young, with so much of life still to experience…

Her mind made up, Femi stepped forward and grasped the hand of the Greek goddess.

"What an excellent choice." Alala praised the dark skinned female as she closed her eyes and breathed in, guiding Femi to the top of the stairs that just appeared.

Back in reality, Femi's parents were watching with unease as their daughter laid still and supposedly lifeless, the two not even daring to approach in case they somehow enraged the goddess hard at work. The storm was becoming very violent, but Femi's parents didn't seek shelter. Her father did feel the need to head back to the ship to see if it and their crew were alright, but a bolt of lightning struck the nearby ground almost as soon as he proposed that idea, prompting him to remain in the temple instead...

In her mind, Femi watched with her eyes wide as Alala spoke in her own made up language, performing a ritual the likes of which she could never have imagined was possible…

"Kurka arma tookala mon carse Femi zendqa coursoro illnessa."

(Mighty power of Kurka, please unleash your power, save Femi of Egypt from her illness...)

Golden towers of light erupted around the ritual stand, rising to who knows where, sparks of green electricity swimming around the lights wrapping up to wherever the lights were going and the whole ritual temple began to shift.

Femi was scared out of her mind as the platform began to float within this void, never before has she seen anything like this. This was far beyond anything she had seen before; what was this goddess doing to her?

"It. Is. Done. Behold your power." Alala screamed into the void as a dark green energy surrounded her, the other woman bending it to her own power before controlling it completely within a second and unleashing it upon her subject.

Alala could see the potential for power and strength within this young woman, brought down before her prime by such a devastating illness, and believed that this young girl from Egypt could have great potential to join the ranks of the other gods and goddesses.

Unfortunately for Alala, she already set herself up for disappointment with her choice of method to imbue Femi with her new powers, choosing the most painful and devastating method possible. Alala could justify it to herself easily enough as the girl would need to shed her mortal ties eventually anyway and the circumstances necessary for a more peaceful transfer were far too complex, but in the end she simply chose the easiest way to save herself time and effort.

Unaware of Alala's dark thoughts, Femi simply screamed in terror as the magical energy enveloped her whole being, transforming her body to account for the massive amounts of magic that would have to be stored and to make her slightly taller.

"Good luck out there kid. I'm not sorry that I had to do this kind of measure. The ritual unfortunately required a certain sacrifice."

'Sacrifice…?'

Even amid the pain of her current change, the teenager didn't like the ominous tone of that message.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?" she called out, her voice regaining strength even as she spoke, only for Alala to shrug and give her a creepy smirk. "There was something I didn't tell you about the deal. Good luck finding out what it was as I assume it'll be quite obvious. Have fun, goddess Femi of Egypt."

"You better not have harmed my parents…" Femi uttered, only to 'pass' out in her strange dream/vision and awaken back in reality.

It was quiet, too quiet for the likes of her. Where were her parents? Why was it so dark with thunderheads raging in the skies above?

"Mama? Papa?" Femi called out as she stepped off the steps to the ritual temple and froze in her tracks seeing two unmoving bodies near the steps…

The bodies were charred by lightning, but as she drew closer, she could see enough of their clothes to identify the deceased as her own parents.

Silence… that was what Femi would describe this moment if anyone were to ask her. The utter silence would upset even a newborn baby. The only sound passing through the temple was that of the wind.

As Femi's eyes began to water with tears all the sounds of the world came back at once in a violent thunder crack as Femi fell to her knees causing a quick earthquake as she screamed in horror and sadness, her tears falling to the ground in a light puddle, blood spilling from her palms as she squeezed her hands into such tight fists that her own nails dug into her skin.

"GODDAMN YOU, GODDESS ALALA. YOU WILL PAY ONE DAY FOR KILLING MY PARENTS!" Femi's voice thundered through the wilderness, muting the natural thunderclaps from the sky. Lightning rained down on the island, a bolt of it striking where she had just been lying, casting her into a dark shadow, the green energy of her powers radiating off her like an erupting volcano.

Her shoulders shook from the immense sorrow that she felt that it just wasn't fair that she became a goddess, but was robbed of being able to be with her parents by the trick of another being...

"I can't turn back time… you are stuck as a goddess, parentless, alone…" Alala spoke from the sky in amusement. That was the moment that Femi remembered faintly hearing that traveler speaking of this goddess, warning people to not head to the island of Crete, to beware the temple of Alala, but did her parents even consider something like this would even happen? They did not, and now they have joined many others in the heavens.

Though her tears still fell, Femi collected herself enough to set to work creating two graves near the edge of the temple. She said nothing as she placed her parents' remains in said graves, not daring to say a word in case she lost her last remaining specks of control and truly broke down.

She placed her mother in the ground first, taking extra care to lay her out as though the older woman was just lying down for a rest while still alive. Her father received similar attention, and with that done, she quickly buried them, shedding more tears than a few moments ago.

After a couple more minutes of mourning, Femi stood, took one last look at the temple that has now taken away a part of her, before turning and storming back down the trail towards the boat.

The bear carcass was still there from when her father stabbed it with his spear, though he never took it back, so Femi dislodged the deadly spear from the head of the bear and continued on walking down the trail.

Something wasn't right. Femi bent down on the ground and noticed footprints, scarred tree trunks and even a helmet lying at the edge of a bush that could be seen if you looked close enough. This sight alone would have just been a curiosity, but the glimpse of smoke rising into the sky from the beach further down prompted the goddess to sprint down the trail in a hurry.

The boat was in flames, sinking to the bottom of the sea, the creaking and snapping of the wooden frame was very apparent as it was still halfway above water. Femi's hand was over her mouth in shock, her only way home, it was gone and every single crew member laid still and bloody on the sand along with a couple of people lying almost still in outfits fit for bandits.

"F-Femi… thank the gods... you're a-alive…" a voice gasped out. Quickly following the voice, Femi could make out one of the crew members leaning against a rock, still alive despite the knife lodged in his stomach. Stumbling down the beach to crouch next to him, Femi took his hand in hers and squeezed, tears leaking down her face as she recognized this lone survivor. This was the man she had practically grown up with, Abasi, her best friend.

Femi choked back on her words as she tried to speak, but no words came out until Abasi groaned as he attempted to move his right arm, a large chunk apparently torn from it by the same weapon now in his stomach.

"Abasi…" Femi whispered, eyes red as the sun setting in the sky. "Don't die... Don't leave me alone." The tears wouldn't cease as she held the hand of her best friend.

"I not only lost my parents, but my best friend and my only way back home too…? I would be better off dead than… than…" Femi's voice broke as she sobbed into his shoulder. For a moment, Abasi just ran his hand through her hair in a tentative, comforting gesture, before he pushed her away lightly to look her in the eyes.

"Run as fast as you can… bandits may return… for salvage," he said, his tone urgent despite his obvious weakness. "If you are well now… you cannot be found here…"

Femi couldn't bring herself to leave until the sounds of shouting and laughter reached their ears from the forest and Abasi grit his teeth in an attempt to push his friend away. "Run Femi… lie low somewhere safe… Get back to Egypt… your last family…"

For a moment, Abasi closed his eyes as the pain and the loss of blood overwhelmed him, but when he opened his eyes, Femi was gone and those bandits were there salvaging whatever they could. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a man with a dagger in hand approaching him, but he simply lay back, resigned to his fate.

Now running through the forest with nobody left to accompany her, Femi ran for days until she stumbled across a small fishing village on the northern end of the island. She hid in a house that she eventually renovated to be her own.

She never did find a boat to take her back to her home country, remaining away from Egypt for years. It wasn't until the year 820 BC, her remaining family bloodline having died out while she was away, that she returned home to Egypt, alone and fatigued from a long life of running, smuggling and making a living in that fishing town to earn whatever money she could bring together.

If there was one thing she did enjoy about this goddess power, it was the intriguing 'twist' that her parents' murderer had apparently given her the power of hypnosis through her very voice. Not all men or women were affected by it, but Femi had no problem with that knowledge, already observing some interesting possibilities for this power so long as she could work out why some were affected rather than others. She had only been able to use the power in limited ways when she was so far from home in a country that she only just understood, but now...

Looking out at her long-missed home country, Femi vowed to train her power to discover how vast something like this could be and how many could fall under her spell. She smiled to herself as she crouched down to collect a fist full of sand before releasing it, watching the grains trickle back to the ground.

Just like the grains of sand, she was back where she belonged, and she would learn to use what she had been given to its fullest potential...

"Is this where you wished to be dropped off, traveler?" asked a Greek fisherman who had been polite enough to take her back to Egypt. She was secretly pleased that she hadn't needed to use her gifts on him; there was something nice about knowing that there were still good people in the world.

Nodding in confirmation, Femi gave her new friend a final grateful hug for his aid in her journey before setting off on the final leg of her return to her long-ago home.

Fifteen days passed before Femi reached a cliff side and off in the distance could see a small town in the desert, the pyramids visible in the background.

Femi smiled as she breathed in the air of such a familiar place that she had left so many moons ago. When she exhaled, Femi closed her eyes, placing her hand on the ground like she had done when saying goodbye to this ancient land back when she was 17.

"Giza… the home of the pyramids. But most importantly the home of my family. Mother, father, and Abasi, I hope you can see me wherever you are because I have finally made it back home."

A new journey for Femi begins on the very same ground she had once left to start another journey nearly a century ago...

Thursday, August 19th, 1993

After a horrid first year for Ginny Weasley at Hogwarts that resulted in the young girl nearly getting killed by a fragment of Voldemort's essence, her life only just being saved thanks to the intervention of her childhood crush Harry Potter, her family had gotten an excellent opportunity to head over to Egypt for the summer of 1993 to visit the eldest Weasley son and brother, Bill Weasley, who worked for Gringotts as a curse breaker. Unfortunately for Ginny, what had been intended as a fun holiday for everyone was basically just a new environment for everyone else to essentially ignore her.

Out of everyone in the family, Bill seemed to be the only one who was willing to acknowledge that the events that had taken place at Hogwarts this last year had actually happened. Where most of her family avoided discussing the experience for their own reasons, Bill always did his best to comfort Ginny when an occasional nightmare would spring up about her time down in the Chamber of Secrets, particularly if those nightmares focused on the image of her losing Harry to the monstrous basilisk. Because of that, Ginny was closer to him than the rest of her family this summer, and went to him whenever she felt put out with her family not allowing her to do things.

This had become frustratingly common for her as her parents often refused to let her join the rest of them in exploring the pyramids with everyone else. Her mother claimed that she was just afraid something would happen to her like at Hogwarts, even though the wizard guide said the passages were safe and Molly Weasley often seemed to prefer to ignore her daughter's trauma anyway. Her father and brothers tried to assure her that they just wanted her to be safe, but all Ginny saw was them deciding it was easier to hide away from what had happened than seriously help her deal with it, and the worst part was that she could understand why they were 'dealing' that way. Charlie was just elsewhere, she was used to Ron and Percy being different kinds of prats when it came to any kind of situation involving this kind of emotional trauma, and as for the twins… as far as she could tell, they just didn't know how to help so had decided it was easier to avoid her and let someone else do it.

Eight days after Ginny's twelfth birthday, the young pre-teen was really beginning to be annoyed with how her family treated her, even Bill had stopped offering her much comfort due to her mother demanding him to leave her alone. Molly was under the impression that the nightmares will just simply vanish on their own and that comfort will draw them out further, and her father and brothers all seemed to have adopted various levels of willful ignorance about what had happened, as though treating her like a child would help her forget what she had been through.

It also didn't help that Harry had barely attempted to talk to Ginny after the traumatic event in their last few days at Hogwarts. Sure, he stopped by the hospital wing once or twice, shared a few matches of Exploding Snap, and wizarding chess with her but never honestly talked to her outside those moments. What really hurt was that her feelings for him had developed beyond some celebrity crush into a real crush on Harry himself, as opposed to the idealized image of him as some child hero. Ginny was certain that one day he would open up and see who she is as a normal girl, but it seemed as though Ron had gone out of his way to reinforce the idea of her as his 'baby sister' and nothing more whenever she and Harry were in the same room, as though encouraging Harry to only see her as some silly little girl too.

It was late one night in the city of Giza, Egypt, where the Weasleys were sleeping in a small wizarding cottage among a range of similar-looking cottages set up close to the pyramids, this one currently used by Bill and shared with the rest of his family. Despite the late hour, one of the family still happened to be awake. Ginny Weasley held her hands over her ears in annoyance at the sounds of Ron's snoring and light kicks against her right thigh as he was sleeping on her right nearly sprawled out across the floor.

The thing is, Ron fell asleep near the window and now was near the middle of the room after moving around all night in his sleep and his sister was just about to knock him awake to scream at him. Her nightmares made it increasingly hard for her to get some sleep even when she was sleeping on her own, but after waking up from another such dream, Ginny's efforts to find another way to sleep peacefully in the small space between the two of them were constantly ruined by Ron's snores, until he finally flipped over and his hand landed flat against Ginny's face.

"Ugh…" the chocolate eyed girl groaned sitting up, rubbing her temples as a headache was coming on, wishing that they could just have been back at home by now where she could be sleeping in her own bed in her own room, able to spend some time to herself as opposed to being dragged around by brothers who thought that everything bad in her mind would go away if she just tried to ignore it.

Standing up, Ginny carefully and quietly went over to her suitcase, where she managed to pick out a light coat and jeans. If she was going to be forced to stay up this late, she was going to go outside to get some fresh air, and maybe see a couple of the famous pyramids without her mother knowing. A mischievous grin grew on her face as she threw a hood over her head, quietly crept into the small hallway, making her way towards the door.

Her half-formed plan was almost brought to an abrupt halt as she heard noises coming from the kitchen, along with a low hum that she recognized as her father. As his footsteps seemed to come closer Ginny thought fast to side-step into an open room, careful to not bump into anything that might have alerted her dad to the fact that someone was up and about.

"This vacation has been fantastic." Arthur said, a slightly dazed tone to his voice that suggested he wasn't entirely awake yet, stopping outside the door to the horror of his hidden daughter, chugging on a glass of water. "Haven't been this excited to leave England since my trip to Spain when I was young."

Ginny's breath quickened as her father continued to stand, lost in reminiscence, before he turned and looked into the dark room that she happened to be hiding in. Quietly and slowly, Ginny covered her mouth before sliding down the wall to hide behind some of the room's furniture, praying that her father hadn't seen anything too clear...

"Lumos."

Ginny's eyes widened in fear watching as most of the center of the room began to glow in a bright light from the end of her father's wand, his eyes squinting in each direction attempting to find whoever had made those soft breathing sounds.

"Is anyone there?" whispered the older redhead. "Fred… George… I swear if this is a prank…"

In her head, Ginny giggled, wishing it could have been a prank done by the twins. Unfortunately, right now the situation was only caused by her own carelessness, and she was going to have to ride it out and just hope that she wouldn't be discovered.

"Mind must be playing tricks on me..." her father said at last, breaking Ginny from her thoughts as he stood straighter, focusing his gaze on an opposite corner of the room. With his attention focused on the other side of the room from Ginny, if she were to make a risky run for it...

As Arthur walked to the other end of the room, Ginny crawled out from behind the chair that had been her temporary shelter and crawled into the hallway. She froze briefly when she heard a floorboard creak under her hand, but when her father continued to search the room after a moment's pause, she continued on towards the front door with a desperate smile on her freckled face.

When she reached the door, slowly turning the handle, Ginny winced when she heard her father exit the room. Turning to look, she breathed a sigh of relief noticing him return to the room he and Molly were using, shaking his head as though dismissing his own suspicions, never once looking in her direction. With that brief panic over, Ginny carefully opened the door and quietly crept out onto the small patio.

Taking a massive breath of fresh air, Ginny smirked as she looked out at one of the pyramids off in the distance. She only paused long enough to pull on her shoes, waiting with the rest of her family's footwear outside the door, before she began to sprint excitedly towards them. Her mother wasn't here to stop her from entering now; it was just herself on a night stroll, determined to explore an ancient monument of the past.

Many of the inhabitants of this city have told them that the pyramids hold many great wonders for the eye to see once inside, a saying that had unnerved her mother in the wrong way. Molly had immediately forbidden her only daughter from even stepping foot into the stone block structure despite all the confirmations that the passage that they would be taking was safe.

'You can't act as though nothing happened and try to protect me, Mom; either you want to help me face it or you want me to still be your little girl, and the second option isn't one anymore'.

Rolling her eyes in frustration with her family, Ginny huffed in anger as she jumped into the carved out hole that had a sign talking about a safe entrance. Unfortunately, when she landed on the ground, it created a large echo that attracted the attention of a nearby security guard, who quickly ran to investigate.

Hearing the approaching footsteps, her mind once again racing in the face of being caught, Ginny turned and ran down a dead end covered in shadow, hoping the guard wouldn't bother looking in that direction since it was out of the way of the entrance.

"Hello? Anyone in here?" The man in a dark grey outfit called into the lantern filled passage. With no answer given the dark skinned man shook his head and turned to head back outside thinking he must have just heard things.

"What was it?" asked his partner outside the hole while at the same time pulling him out.

The guy who investigated just shook his head and sighed. "I swear this job is nothing but false alarms." The other guy chuckled and at the same time handed him a bottle of water.

"It wasn't a false alarm last time, remember? A teenager and his friends thought that they could vandalize the Cleopatra statue near the end of the passage. Man, did those kids get an earful from their parents," the bald man said, smiling fondly in amusement.

The first guy chuckled, attempting to hold back a smile. "I do remember. Those teens never came back. When was that? Three? Five years ago?"

"Five months ago, Bomani." Said the guard named Bakari smiling at his friend for forgetting.

"Right my friend. With age, I seem to have forgotten." He shrugged with the excuse.

"Says the man who isn't even 40 yet." Bakari snickered, patting his friend on the back. "What's Bennu cooking in the morning for breakfast? You did remember she invited me over didn't you?"

"My wife is always generous. I have no idea what my sweetheart will be making." Bomani smiled fondly of his wife that he has been married to since they were in their early twenties.

Inside the pyramid, Ginny was growing anxious. When would these men leave? If they both came down here to have a look around, they could easily find her if she tried to make a move to run again. It was very risky.

Wanting to find somewhere better to hide herself, Ginny began to move but slid her hand over a piece of the stone that looked to be pushed out further than the rest. She only leaned on it a little, curious about this minor construction quirk, but that brief pressure was enough to push the stone in, causing Ginny to lose her footing as a small trap door opened below her. Ginny barely had time to register this twist before she fell feet first into a cavern about five feet down from the trap door.

The drop itself was surprisingly soft, as Ginny felt more surprised at the fall than seriously hurt by it, but a confused glance upwards left her shocked and a little scared to see that the trap door had already closed. It was dark in this cavern and Ginny could barely see anything more than six feet in front of her. As she took a step forward, torches lined up along the walls came to life, revealing many pictures of ancient Egyptians tending to whoever ruled over this great country. Even the Romans from the Roman Empire were displayed once or twice along the drawings on the walls.

Ginny was rooted to her spot in fear, her eyes closed as she fought to control her breathing for a few moments; the torches might help her right now, but she didn't need to be Bill to know that such magic still being present in such a supposedly isolated place raised its own set of concerns. Once she was sure that she wasn't just going to start screaming, she looked up in the direction that she'd just fallen, cupping her hands over her mouth. "Hello, can you help me? Hey, guards…"

Her voice echoed on for a short time down the spooky cavern, but there was no sign of a response from the surface. Stuck for any better options, Ginny tried to remember what Bill had told them about these kinds of passages, but eventually decided to just walk slowly down the corridor, making a cautious glance down each fork in the path, or dead end paths that led away from the main one. She tried to just guess her route for the first couple of forks, aided as the torches in each area kicked in as though sensing her progress, but by the time she reached the third such fork it was clear that trying to see down each darkened corridor wouldn't get her anywhere.

"Damn it all. Rules be damned." Ginny said to herself, revealing her wand and grasping it in her hand. No matter what the Ministry always says about underage magic, if anything attacks her down here then spells will be cast; when she was found she could safely point out that she'd been alone after an accident and had only done what she had to do to keep herself safe.

After a few minutes' further walking turned up no sign of a path going upwards or any indication of anything that might be a way out, Ginny was starting to get worried. This was more than just finding an interesting bit of the pyramids to explore; if she was really stuck down here… at night… on her own… with nobody in her family even aware of where she was...

"Hello?" Again all that responded was a creepy echo, calling back to her with no sense of where she could go next. Tired and increasingly scared, Ginny just fell to her knees and huddled against a wall close to hyperventilating, tears beginning to escape her eyes at the thought of just being trapped down here, destined to die in these tunnels, forever separated from civilization in an ancient crypt that nobody else seemed to know anything about.

'What a perfect end to a bad year…' Ginny thought bitterly, even as she kept sobbing.

"Someone… Anyone…" she gasped for breath after crying for a minute or two. "Please… Help me…"

Just then, a sound coming from further away created a soft bang, along with a faint sound that Ginny instinctively thought of as a rusty metal door being opened after a long time left closed.

"Hello?" Ginny called out, wiping her tears away. At this point, she didn't care if she got into trouble for exploring down in these tunnels, just so long as she got out...

There was no clear response, but instead a light hum reached her ears. Ginny would never be able to properly describe it to anyone else, as though she just didn't know the proper words to express her true feelings for it, but the term that immediately came to mind was 'beautiful', even if she couldn't explain why she thought that. She was Ginny Weasley, nothing was beautiful to her, but this song... it put that word into her mind and then refused to get out of her thoughts...

As the humming melody went in one ear and stayed put, it sent a warm feeling through the young redhead's body, a feeling of happiness and... love... 'What's happening?' Ginny asked herself as a grin grew on her face and she got back to her feet to turn in the direction of the noise. When she realized what she was doing, Ginny frowned as she blinked away the last of her tears, puzzled about why she suddenly felt so happy in this terrifying situation...

"Are you trapped?" questioned a very alluring voice from far away down the corridor, accompanied by an unusual echo. If the strange song had made her feel happy, the sound of a clear voice made Ginny feel so loved that the frown disappeared into a tooth bearing smile. Whoever this was, Ginny needed to find that speaker… the speaker whose mere words made Ginny feel happy, joyful, loved and safe in a way that she hadn't felt for months... like the voice itself was wrapping her up in a warm blanket to never let her go, letting her know that nothing will ever hurt her...

"Y-yes." Ginny said in a squeal that would have once embarrassed her, but the youngest Weasley couldn't bring herself to care. Thoughts of her family were suddenly pushed to the back of her mind; whoever this voice belonged to... the way that their song made her feel was just so good, she knew that she had to know more about this person. "Can you help me?"

There was no explicitly verbal response, but instead that previous humming tune suddenly continued. This time, Ginny closed her eyes to hear it better, and a smile grew on her face as she giggled and began to run towards the source. Her previous confusion about what route to take was forgotten as the tune gave her a clearer target, testing each fork in the path she came across until she knew which one gave her the clearest sound. With each successful turn, Ginny became increasingly desperate to see who was singing this delightful tune, a tune that made her heart pound in a way that she'd never experienced even when around Harry.

"I'll find you," she called out after a few minutes, wanting to let the voice know that she was still searching. "Just keep singing… this tune is so beautiful…"

"Yes… Come find me. I will take care of you… I will help you." said the most beautiful voice Ginny had ever heard. Just hearing that promise of help and protection brought more tears to Ginny's eyes at the thought of the feelings it inspired, as well as inspiring her to run that bit faster. Without knowing how, she knew that the source of this voice was someone she belonged with, someone who would give her the love and support she'd been craving for months… the support even her family couldn't give her…

A part of her felt briefly ashamed at that thought, but the rest of her put it aside, caught up in her delight at the promise of help over her brief shame at this semi-rejection of her family. As she turned down the largest corridor she'd found to date, Ginny didn't even fully register the ancient skeletons now lying against the walls with spikes sticking out of them; all that mattered was that the voice sounded clearer than ever before. A vague part of her mind guessed that these men and women were killed far in the past for attempting to come after whoever, or whatever, lived within this buried crypt, but Ginny knew that she was in no such danger. Whatever the intentions of these other visitors, just as the voice would protect her, she already knew that she would never do anything that would harm the singer.

"Come to me… come to me… follow the sound of my voice." Ginny turned to the left following the voice as instructed. She couldn't explain why even to herself, but the more she followed the instructions of this mystery person, the more right everything felt to her. As though she had finally come close enough to hear it properly, she suddenly realized the source of the voice was female, and the brown eyed girl sighed happily knowing her growing feelings must be for an amazing girl. The Egyptian accent that accompanied this voice just sounded so wonderfully exotic to Ginny's ears as well, prompting another sigh of contentment as she ran through the murky, ever-expanding corridor. She had never felt this way about another girl before, but the more she searched these chambers the more she felt a need to find the person who had inspired such intense feelings in her.

"Where are you?" Ginny asked in desperation, her heart thundering in her chest, suddenly anxious at the thought that she may never find this wonderful person, this person who had inspired such a sense of security and comfort from her voice alone… this person she was increasingly sure she belonged with...

"Just follow the sound of my voice. It will lead you to me." the voice replied softly.

"Ok." Ginny replied in a softer tone, suddenly feeling a need to control herself before she started crying from joy at the idea of finding her purpose. A brief part of her mind suddenly panicked at a sudden memory of Riddle's last taunts in his diary, his mocking words about how she was nothing more than the tool of his rebirth, but she immediately pushed them aside. Even at his 'best', when he had presented himself as an enigmatic friend, Tom Riddle had only ever been someone to talk to before she grew suspicious of his true intentions, but even when she had told him her secrets knowing that he couldn't share them, he had certainly never inspired the sense of comfort and belonging that this voice brought to her by its very existence.

As she continued down the corridor, she passed a room that was covered in cobwebs, but upon further inspection it seemed to be an old bath chamber for those who either lived and worked here. Ginny was briefly surprised at this fresh sign of human activity this far down, but otherwise barely paid any attention to it, ignoring that disgusting room in favor of finding the source of the melodious voice.

When she reached the end of the corridor, Ginny entered a small room, pillars lined up along the sides suddenly lighting up as though fires had been ignited from beneath. Based on Bill's descriptions of other tombs they'd visited so far, the part of Ginny's mind that was thinking about something other than the voice wondered if this was a greeting chamber of some sort, but her surprise as she took in the illuminated pillars distracted her from seeing a door open at the other end.

The figure that emerged from the other side of the door was a slender, dark chocolate skinned woman in a white dress with green and gold trim on its edges. Her stomach was bare, as were her arms and legs up to her thighs. She wore ancient sandals that looked very worn down, but she could easily walk barefoot. The dark skinned woman's hair ran down to just below her large breasts hidden under the cloth. The woman looked only a few years older than Ginny, but in reality, this woman was a centuries-old demigoddess, known to her past worshipers by the name Femi.

Seeing the young preteen dressed in unfamiliar clothing standing at the other end of the entrance hall, Femi had to smile in delight that she had managed to draw such a person into her company. The spell that had trapped her here so long ago not only banished those who came here by chance or with malicious intentions (as well as being particularly harsh to the more stubborn people who came here for some dark purpose), but also ensured that her siren song would only draw someone to her if they had experienced some traumatic event in their past and needed support from another, or at least resented their current lives and truly sought the kind of escape that she could give them. Taking a brief glance into the mind of the young redhead, the woman's smile faltered, barely restraining a cry of terror at what she had seen in just the first few seconds of that brief surface probe.

This strange Egyptian woman knew that this girl, apparently named Ginny Weasley, truly deserved every bit of protection and care she could give her. Just like Femi herself, the two had suffered a great loss, and now their fundamental desires were a need for love, support, and a greater purpose in this world.

Obviously, it would take a while until their relationship moved beyond simple comfort and verbal affection, but for now, as the girl looked curiously around the chamber that would be her new home, still not looking quite in her direction, the goddess smiled lovingly and began to adjust her hum, shifting to a softer melody than the initial siren call.

Ginny perked up when hearing the melody so close to her, head practically turning all the way around on her neck before she let out a near-scream of happiness at seeing Femi walking towards her.

"YAY… I found you." Ginny squealed, running towards the older woman, her arms wide in a gesture that was easy to understand. Femi crouched down to her height and giggled as she collected Ginny into a warm loving hug, before lifting her up and spinning her around in her arms, continuing the calming hum to lull the other girl into a soothing rest. Even after so many centuries since her transformation, in that moment Femi had reacted to Ginny in a manner that put the mortal-turned-goddess in mind of the games she had once played with her own mother and younger brother and sister, the older family member picking up the younger and swinging them through the air as much as she could without outright magic...

After a few moments, Femi put Ginny back down on the ground, crouching down in front of her so that she and the girl could look each other eye-to-eye. Femi wasn't sure if she should smile or cry as she took in the silly yet hopeful expression on Ginny's face, the confused expression reinforcing in the scale of Ginny's need for comfort and support and her simultaneous inability to express that need, while Ginny looked back into the purple eyes of her new mistress…

'Mistress…' Ginny smiled, feeling a warmth in her body at that term. Once again, a part of her was reminded of how You-Know-Who had always been referred to by his servants as 'Master' in the few reports she'd read of the trials of his arrested followers, but just as before, Ginny rejected that comparison. Tom had won her trust through his words in the diary, but his mere presence had never made her feel as safe as this beautiful woman. Simply by looking at her new Mistress, Ginny knew that this woman would give her the comfort and support she had needed for the last few months, and would never make Ginny do anything to hurt others…

She had become so lost in her thoughts that she was briefly confused to find herself looking at her mistress's bare stomach rather than into her eyes, before she realized that the older woman had stood up, taken her hand and was leading her back towards the door that she must have entered this room by. Shifting her gaze upwards, Ginny was relieved to see the older woman looking down at her with a reassuring smile, taking measured steps backwards so that she and Ginny could maintain eye contact with each other as they moved.

"Come, my darling, you're safe and sound now," the woman chorused, her elated tone spurring Ginny on to follow her. This dark skinned woman's song-like voice was just so incredible; it was like each word wrapped Ginny in a new protective spell, pushing away the bad memories of the last year. "You no longer have to fear and cower within these walls… follow me and begin your new adventure." Releasing her grip on Ginny's hand, the goddess beckoned Ginny with her finger as she backed her way up the small set of stairs leading to the door.

"I-I'm safe?" Ginny asked as she slowly began to follow the woman, once again assured of the difference between this figure and Tom Riddle; where she had never had a choice but to do what Riddle wanted of her, the mere fact that she had been left to follow her new Mistress up these stairs assured her that this figure would always leave the final decision up to her…

'But is it true?'

"Do… do you mean it?" Ginny asked, pausing where she was as she looked anxiously at the dark door beyond the beautiful woman, fears suddenly overriding her comfort and devotion. "I won't... be hurt down here?"

Even as she felt so different in this situation compared to her interaction with Tom, looking at the dark hole in the wall beyond still inspired apprehensive memories of the Chamber, the fear that something terrible may be waiting for her in a dark underground place...

Reading her thoughts about this damn Chamber of Secrets really unnerved the immortal goddess, the woman wishing that she had been able to spare this dear girl such fear as she walked back over to her. Moving back towards Ginny and crouching down slightly once again, Femi lifted Ginny's chin up, brushed her hair out of her face, and placed a soft kiss on her lightly freckled forehead, causing the preteen to blush lightly as she stared at the woman in front of her with a large goofy smile.

"Of course, Ginny." Femi confirmed, reaching out to stroke Ginny's face, as though trying to wipe away the bad memories and leave only comforting ones. "I won't ever let anything bad happen to you. Your new home is a safe one."

"Home…?" Ginny asked, suddenly reminded of the family she'd left behind, before she sighed happily at the thought of what those words offered. "Yeah… my new home..."

She didn't ask how this wondrous young woman knew her name when she never said anything to hint at it, but that formality didn't matter; what did matter was following this apparent goddess to where she desired to go. Thoughts of the family awaiting her 'upstairs' were almost irrelevant as she took in the woman before her; when she had spent the last few weeks unable to shake off her fears and treated as though nothing had happened, wasn't it only natural to seek out the comfort of this amazing woman who accepted her fears and promised to address them directly, instead of the people whose only means of 'supporting' her was to act like nothing had happened?

'They don't want to deal with it anyway… why shouldn't I let my Mistress worry about those things?'

"Follow me… your heart will guide you to the riches of love." Femi sang as she started to back away again and beckoning her new servant to follow her.

Ginny nearly tripped on the stairs, her mind starting to feel groggy from the soft song being sung to her by this amazing woman. "What's y-your name?" Ginny managed to say as she passed under the threshold of the door, staring lovingly at the woman who had promised her help.

Femi smiled at her expression, already certain that this girl would become truly dear to her. "Sweetie, my name is Femi."

Ginny stumbled a bit more as she beamed at her mistress for calling her sweetie. "F-Femi? Th-that's a nice name…" She felt a growing sense of fatigue at the song, but knew that she still had an important question to ask. "Am I g-going t-to s-spend a l-long time w-with you?"

She didn't know where that desire had come from, but the more time she spent in this woman's presence, the more she wanted to be here, to have that dark beauty hold her in her arms and assure her that everything would be safe… that this remarkable figure would let her regain her the sense of belonging and safety she'd lost to the diary...

"Of course, Ginny," Femi nodded her head. She still had a test or two to perform to be sure of her new bond with Ginny or if everything so far had just been a fluke, but looking at Ginny's reaction to her so far, she had a feeling that this red-headed girl was the one she had been waiting down here for...

In response Ginny hummed her agreement, too tired to form a word as she continued to follow the woman down the ever brightening hallway, lanterns and torches lighting up around them even as Ginny kept her attention on her new Mistress.

Femi continued her light hum to lure Ginny along the corridor, inspiring a growing level of fatigue without ever taking Ginny to the brink of sleep, but she stopped when noticing the room they were passing and peered inside and smirked upon seeing the window to another realm still visible.

Without the humming to guide her emotions and body, Ginny started swaying a little, a bit disoriented with her foggy mind. She felt so tired by now, the only thing the redhead still knew for sure was that she must follow the sound of the melody.

'Just you wait until I get into your forbidden library, Empress Alala,' Femi mused to herself as she tapped a stone near the room's entrance. 'I will not remain imprisoned down here. Your protection spells are quite exquisite. No wonder a Greek goddess like yourself gave me the power to be someone like you in my time of need. Even if you took my parents' lives...'

"M-mistress?" Ginny still swayed, her body incredibly exhausted by her mistress's song, lost for what to do with herself as the dark skinned goddess looked into that room.

Turning back to the girl, Femi giggled at Ginny's fatigue before another thought occurred to her, prompting her to take Ginny's hand and tap her arm twice. Instantly, Ginny's existing clothes shifted into a miniature version of Femi's own outfit, except with red trims on it to match the 12-year-old's hair.

Ginny smiled as she looked down and noticed that the outfit that she wore was similar to that of the woman holding her hand. She didn't say anything directly, but the smile on her face confirmed to the hypnotic goddess that Ginny liked the new change in style, before she continued to lead the younger girl down the hall.

"You are safe within these walls… nothing will harm you… I am your protector and supporter… I will love you so much that it hurts… your new home is with me… it will welcome you like you have lived here all your life…" the beautiful song of the goddess continued, pushing aside the fatigue in Ginny's mind in order to help her properly enjoy the song that her mistress was singing.

True to the Egyptian's word, the moment they passed through another doorway onto a bridge that seemed to have a drop into a chasm, a magical pulse radiated off Ginny, reinforcing her thoughts that she belonged here, with Femi, with the love and support that will inevitably come with serving such a remarkable being.

Every thought that had once taken hold in her mind was being washed out like water from a washcloth. The process was a temporary step to help Ginny move on from the trauma of the chamber, but for the moment, the only thing that would matter to the youngest Weasley was the beautiful woman who had come to her aid earlier when she thought she was trapped.

"No more brothers to irritate you… no more rules from your parents. Down here you listen to me… and I say there are no rules." Ginny smiled hearing that from her mistress, but froze when Femi looked at her over her shoulder. "But that doesn't mean you disobey me."

"I would never disobey you… Mistress… I want to be a good girl..." Ginny said, her tone rushed if a bit tired, suddenly embarrassed that the older woman would think that someone like her would disobey someone so amazing and friendly.

As the duo reached the center of the bridge, Ginny had begun to stare at her Mistress's bare stomach again and had thoughts of reaching out to rub the belly of this goddess, wondering what it felt like.

Femi blushed as she sensed Ginny's thoughts about her belly and made a note to let her do so once the hypnosis had completed its course. At the moment, however, it was time to see if Ginny truly would belong to her, which depended on her reaction to the next test she was about to perform.

Just as Ginny was sighing with happiness, Femi spun on the spot in a flurry of green smoke and vanished. In response, Ginny instantly started to freak out and cry, looking everywhere she could for beautiful Femi.

"Mistress Femi where are you?" Ginny cried out in shock and horror as she began to breathe fast, tears spilling down her cheeks, a sense of being lost and alone filled her mind along with a tad hint of betrayal. Femi said she would never leave her…

"You promised you wouldn't leave me…" Ginny gasped for air as she hugged herself, feeling saddened to be wearing these new clothes when it symbolized the apparent betrayal of the woman she wanted to be with.

"Don't cry sweetie. I'm right here." Ginny gasped in surprise hearing Femi's melody return and Ginny smiled in relief. "Reach out child… there you will find me."

Ginny nodded her head and reached out in front of her, her mistress reappearing before her, but Ginny gasped with a small smile when she realized that she was rubbing her Mistress's smooth stomach. It amazed Ginny that Femi didn't have any body-builder-like muscles, but the way this woman held herself would seem to anyone that she had an air of being one. She just seemed so strong even without any sign of the more obvious physical attributes that would represent such strength...

Femi placed her hand over the hand that Ginny was holding against her stomach, keeping it in place with a loving smile on her face at the look of happiness on the young girl's face, the other clearly grateful to have finally made contact with her mistress.

As Ginny continued to rub the smooth stomach of this amazing woman, her mind came to a decision, utterly unprompted by the hypnotic song that had drawn her here. 'I don't care how I feel about this woman, but I don't want to return to my family. I know that some of them just don't know how to help, but if they can't give me support… all that teasing back at Hogwarts… the way everyone treats me like a little girl who can't handle herself at all…'

Looking up from the smooth stomach into the concerned gaze of her new mistress, Ginny knew that she was about to make the right choice.

As much as she would miss everyone else, she would choose to stay with the person who had explicitly offered her support over the people who paid lip service to the idea without ever really trying to understand what she needed.

Sensing that a decision had been made, Femi placed her free hand on Ginny's stomach but noticed a long brown stick hidden nearly in the skirt of her outfit. Curious, the goddess pulled it out to examine it, not remembering seeing this poking out of Ginny's earlier outfit.

"What's this sweetie?" Femi asked, eyeing the object critically.

"My wand," Ginny replied, smiling at the curious dark skinned female. "I'm a witch."

"A witch?" Femi questioned in amazement. "Fascinating. I've never met a witch before in all my centuries..." Hearing that this woman was centuries old was strange, but it only reinforced to Ginny that Femi was an outstanding woman and couldn't wait to begin living in the presence of such a being. She didn't comment on it, but her smile widened at the idea that the purple eyed woman could produce magic as well on a much higher scale.

Like a lightbulb, Femi suddenly realized that the trauma that she had been looking at inside Ginny's mind must have been magical related, and began to hum a tune that would send Ginny's body to an exhausted state just so she could look into the girl's horribly weakened mind. While Femi's hypnosis could break even the strongest of minds, the goddess promised herself to help Ginny grow her mental barriers to protect against any outside threat seeking to take control of her like Tom Riddle had.

'At least under my control she has a lot of free will left.' Femi thought, a hand lightly placed on Ginny's head as she continued to hum, watching as Ginny swayed back and forth tiredly.

She then began to walk towards the doors at the end of the narrow bridge, a leash appearing around Ginny's middle section as a safety precaution to ensure that the girl wouldn't fall off the bridge with the way that she was swaying. The moment they reached the other side, Femi vanished the leash and picked Ginny up in her arms.

"I'm tired Mistress Femi…" Ginny whispered, looking up at her with a lazy smile.

"Then," Femi replied, kissing her cheek before moving to whisper into her ear, "my cute good girl must go to sleep, right?" The voice would have sent shivers down Ginny's spine if she was fully awake, but as it was, Ginny just gave a little giggle at the knowledge that her new mistress thought she was cute and good, before she nodded and closed her eyes, drifting off into a deep hypnotic sleep awaiting the command to awake.

A soft golden energy emanated off of Ginny signalling that the hypnosis was now complete. Femi smiled softly at the sleeping girl in her arms as she began to sing a soft tune, a tune that would push peaceful dreams into Ginny's traumatic mind.

"Sleep my darling you're safe and sound. Let your thoughts about your family and the chamber fade… for now all I need you to do…" Femi trailed off, laying the passed out redhead on their bed. Their bed, the thought made a smile grow on Femi's face. "...Is sleep, sleep, sleep. When morning breaks, you will be safe and sound, in my comforting embrace. Tonight you will not be alone, I will be by your side… always and forever… listen to my tune and drift off to the land of dreams. Dream of me, happiness, and belonging, don't fret you will always find your way back home… sleep my darling… sleep in my arms… sleep with the knowledge of safety, drift off into a silent and peaceful slumber…"

Femi tucked her servant into bed, who by now was in a deeper state of sleep than the dark skinned woman intended, but at least Ginny wouldn't awaken from nightmares tonight.

Before Femi climbed into bed with her, a more pressing matter awaited her back in that one room with the portal. The pleasured smile resting on the centuries old goddesses face fell as she left the bedroom to head back out into the hallway towards that room back across the risky bridge. The torches along the walls were still burning as Femi walked past them all.

She didn't want to leave Ginny alone in bed for too long or the hypnosis would start to make her uncomfortable if she wasn't by her side, and decided to make this quick, hoping for a miracle. Femi pushed in the door to the room open and walked up to the portal that led to the Forbidden Library, the place where she had been transformed into her current state and the place where the two ancient scrolls she sought were kept. If Femi could break in there, it may be exactly what was needed to provoke Alala back into action, allowing Femi to finally confront the one who had taken her family from her...

Unfortunately, it took less than half an hour for Femi to be 'satisfied' that she wasn't going to breach the shield this day. Cursing her lack of progress in this regard, Femi turned and left the room, heading back to the sleeping redhead in her bed.

Ironically, if she had remained a few more seconds, she would have noticed a long, jagged crack appearing on the portal. Femi's powers still needed some effort to properly break the barrier, but she was now closer to that goal than she had ever been.

While Femi made haste to return to her bedroom, once she saw Ginny still resting peacefully in her bed, she softly collected the adorable sleeping girl in her arms, whose face morphed into a massive pleasurable smile at the feel of her Mistress's arms. As Femi laid down on their bed, she made sure to have their stomachs pressed together for maximum comfort. The older woman was briefly unsure about how to position Ginny's head, but soon determined that a careful adjustment of her grip allowed her to position Ginny, so that one ear was against her chest, listening to Femi's heartbeat.

Her mother had often done this to Femi when she had nightmares as a little girl, telling her daughter that the sound of her heartbeat would assure the girl that she was never alone, an idea that she now hoped to properly convey to Ginny in this situation.

Looking down at the snoozing, smiling girl lying on top of her, Femi brought the redhead's hand to her lips and gave it a brief kiss.

"Goodnight sweetheart," she whispered softly into the girl's exposed ear. "Tomorrow I would like to get to know such an adorable little girl like you." Thanks to her slight mental contact, she could feel the little redhead's joy at that idea in her own mind and couldn't help but smile sadly that this has been the first time Ginny had felt so truly excited since her first day at… Hogwarts (Femi wasn't sure what that was, but she'd look into that matter later).

As she closed her eyes to sleep with her newfound servant, Femi couldn't help but think that her life was now perfect…

Meanwhile…

"Excuse me? What do you mean cracked?" ordered Empress Goddess Alala of her sector kingdom of the godly realm.

A stone warrior was bowing at her feet, and seemed to be trembling before Alala's might. "It is as I said my lady, someone, or something, has cracked one of the barriers into the library. We can't see into the room because it's pitch black." Alala made a step forward, prompting the guard to fall silent.

"Keep watch and inform me of any changes. Understand." Alala said rather harshly and punched the wall with her bare hand causing a guard next to her to flinch.

"Of course, my lady, we shall keep watch…" and with that declared, the guardian was gone, leaving Alala to contemplate on the matter at hand.

'No… it couldn't be, could it? I… No, we haven't heard from or seen that hypnotic goddess since 476 AD when we cursed her to that crypt and the people of Egypt sunk it. If it is her then I have a real problem on my hands. I just hope it is some other curious person from anywhere else…'

Alala, from the guards point of view, looked quite shocked and vulnerable. Something has spooked her and the only words going through the warrior goddesses head, still to this day, sent shivers down her spine.

'You will rue the day you killed my parents Alala. I'll make sure of it. This crypt won't keep me imprisoned forever, mark my words…'

To Be Continued

I hope those who read all the way through enjoyed this unique take on a goddess hypnotizing Ginny instead of a snake. I originally thought of having Milikan in this story but at the last second decided to make this story just about Ginny and Femi. I really enjoyed how this story went and focused a lot on how Ginny felt.

I also enjoyed writing my own take on some of the mythology surrounding the Greeks and Egyptians even gods like this weren't ever mentioned in real life.

Also, I decided to look up Egyptian and Greek names to suit Femi and Alala and those two security guards. I hope you all enjoyed that touch.

If you think Femi's voice will attract another person with the same past as Ginny then you would be wrong. I will reveal later on why Femi's hypnosis will no longer work on anyone but Ginny.

In the next chapter, you will see another little insight to Femi's past. This time focusing on the events that led to the gods, most importantly Alala, did to prevent the Earth-bound goddess from leaving this crypt. While in the same chapter you will also learn about Ginny's past within this AU for when Femi wishes to get to know her.

Chapter 2 shall be out by the end of month/early May.

Songs of an Egyptian Goddess will only contain 7 chapters.

Please follow, favorite and review. I hope this story was to your liking.
