Heyo,
Looks like I got a sudden burst of inspiration to write a full on story? Let's hope I can commit to this. Happy reading!

Chapter 1: Gone fishing
"Bro, you can't keep living like this," Nino said as he opened the curtains in his best friend's bedroom one by one.
"Noo, keep them closed. It burnsss," Adrien hissed, burying his face into his pillow.
Once the afternoon sunlight had lit up Adrien's room, Nino was appalled. The bedroom that stood before him was beyond messy. If he hadn't known better he would have assumed a rager had been thrown in it last night.
"Dude! This looks worse than my bedroom. And I thought I was the messy one," Nino exclaimed, running his hands through his short brown hair.
Strewn across the floor were pieces of clothing that looked as if they hadn't been washed in weeks. Boxes of pizza were stacked up in one corner. The trash bin was overfilled and spilling on all sides. Video games were scattered near the TV and sitting area. To top it off, the room had a pungent smell to match. Nino shook his head in both dismay and pity for his best bud.
"Adrien, listen," Adrien looked up at Nino squinting from the sunlight that entered his pupils all at once. He knew this was worth his attention since Nino rarely addressed him by his name in all 10 years of their friendship.
"I know it hasn't been easy since you and she who shall not be named called it quits, but it gets better and I need you to know that," Nino continued, "It's also been several weeks and honestly the boys and I lowkey expected you to bounce back by now. You know we are here for you, but it feels like you've shut us out- including me." By the time Nino finished, he had his hands placed on his hips and a stern look on his face.
Adrien knew Nino was right.
It had been weeks since his break-up with his ex-girlfriend. His mind wandered to how and why it had happened and honestly the whole thing hit him like a speeding bullet train.
One night, they were exchanging "I love you's" promising to be with one another for the rest of eternity and then the next he finds out she had been cheating on him only for her to break up with him first. He was totally going to dump her anyways, or at least eventually...when the time was right.
Needless to say, Adrien was what many called a "hopeless romantic" dreaming of a love that only existed in fantasies. Only those closest to him knew this of course. The rest of the world viewed him only as supermodel, Adrien Agreste.
Not that any of that mattered anymore. In fact, did anything matter anymore?
"Yo, did you even hear a word I said?" Nino asked, interrupting Adrien's ruminating.
"Yeah I heard you, just needed to process everything and let it sink in was all," Adrien responded. He kept his eyes on the floor and avoided making eye contact with Nino as he sunk back into his bed.
"You were thinking about it again weren't you," said Nino as he crossed his arms. Adrien knew there was no point in lying so he nodded in shame.
"Get up," Nino commanded.
"What? Why?" The words came out as if Adrien was offended.
"Because, we are going fishing," Nino flashed him a smile and ripped the blankets off of Adrien in hopes of at least getting him out of his bed and into a shower. So far, it was working.
"AHOY broskis!" Nino greeted as he boarded Adrien's luxury yacht. Well actually, the yacht belonged to Adrien's father who was the famous fashion designer, Gabriel Agreste.
"Well well well, look who made it!" cheered Kim as he came over to pat Adrien on the back. The rest of the boys came over and Adrien finally quit moping to get a good look at all of them. Aside from Kim it appeared that Ivan and Luka had also joined in on the outing.
"You all managed to convince my father to do all this just to cheer me up?" asked Adrien. All his friends nodded in unison.
"Well actually Nino did most of the heavy work," said Luka pointing a finger at him.
Adrien peered over at Nino who had a proud look on his face, "All in a day's work, gentlemen," Nino joked in an English accent before bowing. The others laughed at his gesture, including Adrien. He sure missed having moments like this and was touched that all his friends would go through so much effort, especially with managing to get past his father. He smiled realizing how grateful he was and how much he needed this.
After all, isolating himself at the Agreste mansion never fared well for him.
Truth be told however, Nino would've never gotten this far in a million years. At least not with Gabriel.
The two had tension ever since Nino met the man in high school when Adrien first introduced them. Gabriel believed Nino was a bad influence on Adrien and conversely, Nino believed Gabriel was a terrible father (which Adrien partially agreed more with).
But, after witnessing how drastically Adrien's mood and behavior had deteriorated after his break-up, Gabriel was suddenly desperate to get his only son back on track in the only way he knew how.
Have someone else do it for him.
So, that's where Nino comes in. He pitches an idea to Gabriel of whisking Adrien and some other close friends away to the sunny, western coast of France for the weekend. Liking the idea so long it got Adrien out the house, Gabriel was suddenly generous in terms of offering his private jet, yacht, and more to the men. Not once did he hold back and for a second, Nino thought he might've harshly misjudged the old man for so long.
Anyways, it wasn't like Adrien had to know about all this. The guys' one and only focus now was to let loose, have a good time, and help Adrien forget all about his terrible ex-flame.
"Alright, let's get this party STARTED!" yelled Kim as the rest of the men hollered. Grabbing a couple drinks, Kim went to his cooler and grabbed several more. Each of them grabbed one and popped it open.
"To Agreste, for coming out and not forgetting us geezers," cheered Ivan as he raised his drink to a toast. The others followed suit.
They all toasted in unison, "To Agreste, santé!"
The rest of the day went on smoothly as the men caught up, joked around, and continued to consume large quantities of alcoholic beverages. It did not help that there happened to be a mini bar on the yacht. They could all care less though as the yacht continued to sail through the calm waters of the Bay of Biscay. The sun beat down on them and it felt almost like summer despite the fact that it was actually December and winter break for most.
By the time evening came around, they were all drunk beyond words.
"I think…I'm gonna...retire early...now boys. G'nite," declared Luka in between hiccups. He waved to his friends before descending down to the yacht's lower level where the cabins were.
"G'nite," they all said, too dazed by the liquor coursing through their veins.
"I should follow suit. See ya in the morning," Kim slurred giving everyone else the two finger salute.
Beside Adrien and Nino was Ivan who was completely passed out. His face was cemented on the deck of the yacht and out of context, the guy looked dead. Nino poked at him with his foot, but the man didn't budge. Nino shrugged and let him be.
"Y-you can man the yacht r-right, Nino?" asked Adrien who was as heavily drunk as the rest of them.
Nino laughed hysterically signifying his blood alcohol levels were more than likely through the roof, "Of courseeeee, you can always count on me bro," he slapped a hand on Adrien's shoulder who was now also passed out on the seat bench they had been sitting at.
Slowly, Nino got up and stabilized himself with whatever he could. Every step he took only made things worse however and it appeared as if the yacht, ocean, and everything in his view were swirling around together. He held back the urge to puke as he made his way to the front of the yacht to navigate. He had only made it a few feet before passing out as well.
The yacht continued to sail. Farther from the coast of France and deeper into the Atlantic Ocean.
