Fair warning though: as the summary said this is gonna be VERY OC heavy so if you don't enjoy OCs this might not be the fic for you but still if you are curious read on! With that out of the way, ENJOY!

Threatened by a ruthless demon humanity was on the brink of destruction and all hope for survival seemed lost. That is until a lone mage stepped forth and challenged the demon, after a harrowing battle the mage stood triumphant. Once the dust settled, he stood victorious and was hailed as the first wizard king causing his story to become legend. Five centuries later, the title of wizard had been passed down throughout the strongest mages in the Clover kingdom, the current holder of the title is the 28th wizard king Julius Novachrono. His job is to protect the Clover Kingdom and her people alongside the 9 magic knight squads: The Golden Dawn, The Silver Eagles, The Crimson Lions, The Blue Rose Knights, The Coral Peacocks, The Aqua Deer (formerly known as the Grey Deer), The Green Praying Mantises, The Purple Orca and The Black Bulls. However, Julius was soon about to make a decision that had the power to change the course of the Clover Kingdom.

One Year Ago

Purple Orca's Hideout

Knock knock knock… Knock knock knock… knock..

"Okay okay I hear you!" A young man woke to hearing someone knock on his door, he managed to lift himself out of his bed and grabbed a shirt that was lying on the ground as he shuffled to the door. He opened the door to find a man with dark purple hair shyly standing off to the side, "Digit, what's up?"

"Well.. uh there there is a letter for you Tydus." Digit shakily handed the young man an envelope with the seal of the wizard king holding it close, "They said it was urgent…" Tydus opened it and began reading it after brushing his light grey hair out of his face.

"Wait...this is a summons?" Tydus was confused as he read over it again. He then folded it back up and walked back into his room grabbing his boots and robe.

"A summons? Is everything okay?" Digit shyly asked from the doorway as Tydus finished getting ready. Before he walked out Tydus looked in his mirror making sure his hair was out of his face and making sure that his eyes were still two different colors.

"Good the spell is still active besides I don't think I would look right without a green eye like this." Tydus thought to himself before turning to leave "I don't know, I already gave my last mission report to captain Gueldre," He walked passed Digit on his way to the common room, "Besides this looked like an official summons from the Wizard King himself." The two walked down to the main room where a few of the other members of the squad were lounging about.

"Good morning Tydus," A large man sporting a pretty impressive mustache called out from his chair where he was reading.

"Kaiser." Tydus looked toward him, "Nice to see you, are Xerx and the captain out on missions right now?"

"Xerx yes," Kaiser Granvorka stood up and approached both Tydus and Digit, "As for captain Gueldre I honestly don't know where he went." He stroked his mustache with his eyes closed. "If I may ask Tydus where are you headed? I don't think there are any available jobs that would suit someone of your caliber."

"Well actually," Tydus held up the letter, "I was summoned to capital by the wizard king himself for what I'm not sure." He handed the letter to Kaiser who read it over before handing it back. "So I'm heading to the capital to find out."

"Well, have fun and don't get too in over your head with anything." Kaiser gave a quick salute to Tydus before going back to his book.

"You should go find a job to do Digit," Tydus turned to face the purple haired man and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Might help you not be so skittish and shy." He chuckled as he then turned to leave grabbing his broom on the way out. Once outside Tydus straddled his broom and took off towards the royal capital thinking to himself.

"So what in the hell could this about?" His internal monologue started, "Maybe a secret mission? No that's honestly kinda ridiculous… Besides I'm sure he'd call on either the Golden Dawn or the Silver Eagles before calling on one of us wouldn't he? Or hell I think he'd call on that one guy from the Crimson Lions, what was his name again? Lain… Ironheart? He's jumped through the ranks pretty quickly and if I remember right he's become one of strongest magic knights without being a captain." He recalled how he met him a few missions ago and the sheer strength of the mage from Fuegoleon's squad. "That guy was pretty terrifying to watch, just glad he's on the side of the angels."

Tydus had gotten pretty close to the capital and mentally had to prepare himself for this, "Whatever this is I'm sure the wizard king has a good reason for calling me her," he placed his hand over his green eye (his left for reference). "And I swear if he only wants to know more about my magic I'm never answering a summons from him again." He set down right in front of the castle where a blue haired man met him.

"Ah Tydus we were expecting you." He raised his hand waving at Tydus.

"Marx, looking well." Tydus stepped off his broom, "So can I ask what this is about? Like this was a big surprise."

"Sadly I can't tell you yet," Marx explained, "However all will be explained soon if you'll follow me." Marx began leading Tydus through the castle.

"Really Marx?" Tydus sighed, "Y'know it wasn't exactly easy coming all this way. I think I deserve an explanation."

"Sorry but you'll have to wait to see his majesty to learn why." Marx replied as they got closer to the wizard king's office, "But I will tell you this: I'm surprised he didn't tell you to leave your Purple Orca's robe back at their hideout. Ah here we are." he opened the door for Tydus before he had a chance to ask. Tydus begrudgingly walked into the room before asking any more questions.

"Tydus, glad you could make it, sorry about the short notice." A tall blonde man with a blue mark on his forehead greeted him. This was Julius Novachrono the wizard king. Standing next to him was a red headed man with a chin strap goatee, however oddly enough he wasn't wearing any recognizable knight's robe. Instead this robe was white with dark grey fur bordering and epaulettes on the shoulders, it didn't appear to have an emblem but that could have easily been on the back of the robe rather than the front.

"Nice to see you again Tydus," The other man stretched out his hand to Tydus.

"Lain, I'm actually surprised to see you here but," Tydus shook his hand, "What's with that robe you're wearing? I thought you were a member of the Crimson Lions."

"Well actually that's why we called you here Tydus." The wizard king answered, "First off I would like to thank you for your continual service to the magic knights. You have consistently been one of the most dependable members of your squad, AND TAROT MAGIC THAT'S SUPER UNIQUE HOW DOES IT WORK? WHAT'S THE LIMIT? IS THE RUMOR ABOUT YOU BEING AB-" Lain coughed to stop Julius from going full magic geek.

"Right sorry got ahead of myself there," Julius composed himself after showing his true colors to the two knights in the room, "You see for awhile now I've considered the possibility that nine magic knight squads might not be enough to keep our kingdom safe so I called Lain Ironheart here to alleviate that concern of mine." He gestured to the red headed man.

"Yes, his majesty here asked me a very important question," Lain stepped forward and looked towards Tydus, "He has asked me to be the captain and founder of a new magic knight squad and I obviously have agreed to this." He turned around showing the emblem on the back of the robe; a white fox in a simple kite shield design. "So starting today I am the captain and founder of the Alabaster Foxes."

"That's amazing," Tydus was honestly in shock, "You deserve this Lain, I'm glad for you."

"However," Julius spoke up again, "He needs members and first he needs a vice captain and I left that up to him and despite being on different squads and having very limited interactions with each other he has chosen you." Tydus stood there unsure of what to say at this offer.

"I know this comes as a shock." Lain puts his hand on Tydus's shoulder, "But if I didn't trust you I wouldn't have asked-"

"I'll do it." Tydus answered. "I will be your vice captain." He looked up at Lain with a determined expression. This slightly caught Lain off guard.

"Hm that was quick I would've thought he wanted to think it over a bit more," Lain thought to himself, "Welcome aboard to the Alabaster Foxes, vice captain Tydus Caesitas." He held out a robe for Tydus. Tydus quickly removed his previous robe and replaced it with the robe of his new squad.

"I never expected this to happen," Tydus looked down at the purple robe that he now held rather than wore "Not exactly gonna miss that squad but I do have some fond memories with a few of the members." He thought wistfully for a moment or two when Marx re-entered the room.

"Excuse the interruption, your majesty," Marx bowed before the wizard king, "But the other's you called for have arrived."

"Excellent, send them in right away." Julius told Marx who quickly left the room.

"Others?" Lain looked towards the wizard king quizzically, "I was under the assumption that Tydus was the only one you sent for?"

"Allow me to explain," Julius turned to the two other men standing there, "I figured that Tydus would accept your invitation, so I thought that you would want a quick boost in membership if that's alright with you." He smiled at the new captain with a mix of mischievousness and genuine helpfulness.

"Here they are sir." Marx returned and stood right outside the door. He then gestured for three more mages to enter the room.

"Excellent, allow me to introduce them," Julius stepped over to them, "First we have Cervantes Petra, a user of tree magic," He gestured to a tall burly man with tied back brown hair and chinstrap beard. "He used to be a member of the Green Praying Mantises but had to retire a few years back, I asked if he would like to rejoin and he lept at the chance."

"Good to meet you all." The large man spoke up with a smile on his face.

"Next up is the amethyst mage Yseult Aes, she failed the last magic knight entrance exam by a hair but she showed amazing mana control." He stepped behind a young lady with dark blue hair cut in a bob.

"Yea the guy that beat me was a meanie about it too." She puffed out her cheeks in frustration, "But I'm super happy to be here now!" She was quickly over that and surprisingly upbeat.

"And finally we have Oriel Sano," he gestured over to the final person that had walked into the room, "She's a surprisingly adept healing mage for just recently turning fifteen with a surprising attribute."

"Yea most people don't expect Jade magic to be healing magic." She stuck her tongue out and smiled at Tydus and Lain. "But I really hope to be useful to this squad!"

"And there you have it, these are three handpicked mages by myself so I'm sure they'll be amazing help to you." Julius walked back over to Lain and Tydus. "Well what do you think?" Lain gave them all a once over glance with his arms crossed in front of his chest and smiled.

"Welcome aboard, Cervantes, Yseult, and Oriel." He addressed all of them individually. Him and Tydus went and stood by the three new members and turned to face Julius.

"Excellent! From this day forth then you five shall be the first members of the Alabaster Foxes, do your kingdom proud knights!" Julius looked at all of them.

"SIR!" All five magic knights put three fingers to their chests to salute the wizard king.
