Sakura never got to thank him for saving her that day.

A man that went by the name "Laslow", who also happened to be one of Xander's retainers, had arrived only moments after Xander and Leo did.

Sakura remembers it clearly; she was just about to bite the blade when she was knocked off her feet by the armored knight, when Laslow - in his words - "came in clutch" as he blocked the attack meant for her and riposted with a strong attack of his own.

"You know lass, there are better places to rest then on the ground, you know?" Laslow said with a reassuring smile, offering his hand to her. "The name's Laslow, what's yours?"

"Sakura." Was all she said as she lifted herself up with the offered hand, very much shaken by the near death experience.

"Lovely name." Laslow said, taking position in front of Sakura. "I'll stay by your side until you get proper healing, a wound like that still needs attention."

Of course, she wasn't able to get the help she needed until after the battle, thanks to Elise. Laslow, fortunately, kept his word, and stood beside her until then.

Before she could ever get the chance to thank him, Xander had called for his attention, and they hadn't spoken to each other since they hopped into the Bottomless Canyon.

It bothered her to no end, yet Hana seemed to have thought differently.

"Why would you try to speak with him?" Hana asked. "I mean no disrespect to you, but I really think you shouldn't!"

"Why not, Hana?" Sakura asked. "He saved my life! Doesn't that at least warrant a 'thank you'?"

"Then send Subaki with the message, but don't go to him directly!" Hana continued.

"It's not the same, Hana." Sakura spoke calmly. "Why are you so against it?"

"Because he's a flirt!" Hana blirted out. "The moment he see's you, he'll try to bed you by the fortnite!"

Sakura blushed. "I... is that true?"

Subaki chuckled at the comment. "Hana just had a bad first impression, is all."

Sakura then turned to him. "What do you think of him?"

Subaki only smiled. "He's a good man at heart, though it does seem like the only way he talks to others is by flirting."

"Ah... so he just talks differently." Sakura reasoned. "I suppose that's no big deal."

"Ugh..." Hana sighed in defeat. "I can't stop you, but if he tries anything, then may the Dawn Dragon have mercy on his soul."

The conversation did make her think, however. Was he really such a flirt? And if that was the case... well... if she was honest with herself, she was somewhat okay with that, if only she wouldn't freeze up from the embarrassment of such a conversation.

So Sakura simply sat in the empty mess hall, contemplating how she would go about thanking him.

"Ah, so this is where you've been hiding." That familiar voice caught her attention. "I've been looking for you recently."

"Uh... Oh, have you now?" She said, nervously. "Uh, why is that?"

Laslow had pulled something from his pouch. "You've dropped this the last time we met, and I've held on to it, hoping that our paths would cross again."

Sakura took a look at the object in question before her eyes widened. "Oh my, that's... I've been looking for that for so long!"

Grabbing the offered object, she was able to get a closer look at it. It was aplush doll depicting one of her siblings. Specifically, a depiction of Corrin.

"Oh, thank you for returning this." Sakura then realized her opportunity. "And thank you for saving my life that day, I'm very greatful for it."

"No need to thank me, milady. Simply doing my job." Laslow said. "Might I ask the purpose of the plush? If you're okay with that, of course."

"Oh... well..." Sakura took a deep breath. "Please don't laugh, but I make the dolls in order to keep the ones I hold dear close, even when they aren't around."

Laslow, surprisingly, gave a somber look. "I don't see why anyone would laugh at that. If only I had the ability to do something similar. Gods know it would definitely help me." He very quickly recomposed himself. "Erm, that is to say... you do a good thing, princess."

"Oh... uhm..." That caught her off guard, the way his demeanor changed so drastically. He seemed so happy when he came in, too.

"Well! I should be off then! Wouldn't want to give the others any ideas." Laslow said with a bow. "Do keep that close to you, Milady."

"Oh, thank you!" Was all she could say before Laslow had made his exit.

That was... strange, Sakura thought. He was nothing like Hana described. He even seemed... sad...

A short time later, Sakura left the mess hall, and was almost immediately apprehended by Selena.

"Hey. Got a sec?"

"Uhm... yes?" Sakura nearly sputtered. "What do you need?"

"You and Laslow seemed to be alone in the mess Hall earlier." Selena stated. "Normally I wouldn't mind, but given his track record... you can see where I'm going with this, right?"

"O-oh, don't misunderstand!" Sakura said nervously. "He just gave me... something important that I lost!"

"Really? Is that all?" Selena raised her brow. "He didn't try to flirt with you, or anything?"

"N-no, he did not." Sakura said.

Selena dropped her scowl. "That's... concerning."

"I'm sorry..." Sakura began. "I didn't realize you two were in a relationship."

Selena looked at her incredulously. "Wha-? Ew!! No!!" Selena shouted. "He's like a brother to me! Gods, why d'you go and say that!?"

"I'm sorry!! I'm sorry!" Sakura shouted frantically. "I just.. well... oh Gods..."

"Geeze..." Selena began. "What gave you that assumption?"

"W-well... when you were with us with Lady Camilla, you... weren't the nicest to everyone." Sakura managed to say without making direct eye contact. "But then, you started treating Laslow, nicer... I just thought there was something between you two."

"Gawds..." Selena raised a hand to her forehead. "Well, first off, I'm sorry for not treating you guys better, I still have to work on that." She then gave a sad expression. "And... well... Laslow is a childhood friend, and one of the few I have left."

Sakura stayed silent. What do you even say to that?

Severa noticed this, and sighed. "Look, I'm gonna go check on him, okay? Sorry for bothering you."

"It's... okay..." Sakura said whilst Selena took her leave.

What was that about?

Laslow had no idea what was going on.

One moment, he was on his way to his quarters after that damnable battle back in Valla. The next, apprehended by both Selena and Odin, only to be asked the strangest questions of his life.

What's gotten into them? He thought.

"Uhm, Sir Laslow?"

"Hmm?" He turned to the source of the voice. "Ah, Lady Sakura, what do you need?"

"W-well..." Sakura began. "I've been trying to be more confident when talking to strangers, and... since I've just met you recently..."

"Ah, I see." Laslow said. "Well, this works out, I guess. I've been meaning to talk with someone about something recent, if that's okay with you?"

Sakura nodded. "What's been bothering you?"

"Recently, my friends began to ask me... ehm... questions." Laslow began. "The thing is, these questions were quite... strange."

"How so?" Sakura asked.

"They've asked about my well being, if I've been poisoned... keep in mind, they've not done this since... well, ever. I'm inclined to believe there's something wrong with them!"

"O-oh..." Sakura came to a realization. "Th-that may have been my fault."

Laslow raised his brow. "Is that so?"

"I'm sorry, it's just..." Sakura took a deep breath. "After you left the other day, Selena approached me and asked what we were doing alone, and after I told her, she said it was nothing like you."

Laslow blinked once, then twice. "Well, I can see where she's coming from, but come on! I'm not always looking to flirt, despite my reputation!"

"You also seemed... sad, that day too." Sakura managed to say.

Laslow sighed. "So you noticed, huh?"

Sakura nodded. "I'm sorry for prying, but it was noticable."

"It's fine, it's nice to know that there are those that care." Laslow then gave pause.

"That day was a day of mourning, for me."

"Oh..." Sakura felt a slight bit of dread. "Who... what happened?"

"My father." Laslow began. "It was the day of his passing, so I would normally take care of... things... and when I saw the doll, it reminded me that I barely have anything to remember him by."

Sakura's eyes widened. "Nothing at all?"

Laslow shook his head. "Nothing but a sword, and a world full of troubles."

Sakura lowered her head. The situation, to her, seemed a lot more serious then she initially thought.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked." Sakura said in apology.

"Oh, it's quite alright, really." Inigo began. "I've needed to air out these troubles for quite some time, if anything, I should be thanking you for taking the time to listen. Most of the others tend to brush me off."

That simply won't do, Sakura thought. "Well, if you ever need to talk to someone, then I'm always available. It'll help the both of us! You can confide in me, while I practice how to not be so nervous around others, and actually talk to people!"

Laslow smile. "Of course, princess, how could I refuse?"

Sakura giggled. "Oh, and you don't have to call me princess, anymore."

"As long as you drop the 'sir', Sakura." Laslow said in jest. "It makes me feel old."

Talking with Laslow had been far more frequent then Sakura realized. It wasn't long before the two found themselves hanging out with each other to simply chat. Things seemed to escalate from there, when Sakura approached Laslow one day in the traditional Nohrian mercenary uniform. Apparently it was Corrin's idea, with the reasoning that Sakura "needed a more active role" - what ever that meant. Corrin had also saw to it that Sakura would train with Laslow, of all people. Laslow, at that point, knew something was up.

"Looks like the two of you are quite the pair."

"Selena..."

Laslow gave an underhanded swing with his practice sword, knocking Sakura's sword from her hand.

"Sometimes, it's better to dodge out the way, instead of trying to block it." Laslow instructed.

Sakura gave a silent nod as she retrieved her sword.

"How are you fairing, Selena?" Laslow asked, turning his attention to her.

"Pretty well, actually." Selena answered, her usual scowl no longer present. "Just came by to check up on you two, and I've gotta say, I didn't believe Corrin at first when she said that the two of you work pretty well as a team, but she was right."

Sakura only gave a smile. "Shall we start as again?"

Laslow shook his head. "I think it's time to take a break for now."

Sakura's face seemed to drop ever so slightly. "O-oh, alright then... I do have other duties to attend to, anyway." Place her practice sword on a weapons' rack, she took her leave, leaving Laslow and Selena behind.

"Why are you here?" Laslow asked, getting a scowl from Selena.

"I've already told you, I'm checking up on you." Selena almost spat. She then took a deep breath, her expression was now a calm one. "You do seem happier, as of late."

Laslow sighed. "Am I really that much of an open book, lately? It's as if I've lost my touch."

Selena knew that he says this half in jest, but she also knew that he ment those words.

"Is it really that bad, though?" Selena asked, raising her brow. "We aren't back home, so it's not like you need to keep up the facade."

"Old habits die hard, I guess."

That was something that Selena agreed with. "You aren't the only one with undying habits."

They both stood there for quite some time, but it soon became apparent that the sun was setting in the Astral Plain.

"Well, I have duties to attend to." Laslow said, placing his practice sword on the weapons rack as well. "I'd rather not have Lord Xander waiting."

Selena sighed. "Lady Camilla is being the usual, today."

"Better hope she doesn't hear you." Laslow said in jest.

"The walls have eyes." Selena responded in the same joking manner.

Never before has Sakura been so violently woken up by such a nightmare before. She didn't scream, but she jolted up from her bed, almost as if she was lunging for something. She was covered in sweat, and her room felt a bit hotter then what she was comfortable with. She looked out her window into the Astral Plain to see that it was indeed still night time, with the moon high up in the sky and clearly visible. She opted to change out of her nightgown and into the mercenary garb she was given, and left her room in search of that patch of trees somewhere in the Astral Plain.

It was strange, how there was a forest withing the castle walls. Sakura never paid too much mind to it though, and decided to enjoy it while it was here. The cold air had long dried the sweat and cooled her off, yet she still felt the need to continue walking.

She wasn't new to nightmare, she had similar ones to the one she had earlier. But this one was different... it hurt her more, far more then anything else she had experienced. Yet she didn't know why. Why her? And why did it hurt so much?

Her train of thought was drawn away when she noticed a figure up ahead of her. The figure was within a clearing of sort, bathed in the moonlight, yet Sakura couldn't see what it was exactly that they were doing. She got closer, being mindful of where she stepped, as to not draw the figures attention. The closer she got, the more she could see, until...

Is that... Laslow?

Indeed it was, Laslow was dancing in the moonlight, and Sakura was mesmerized by the sight. She had only heard in passing that Laslow was indeed a good dancer, but to see it for herself... sufficed to say, what was said about his dancing didn't do it any justice.

Sakura moved closer still, all the way up to the edge of the clearing. At this distance, she could hear Laslow speak just a bit.

"And one, and two, and... Pirouette!"

He was pacing himself, giving himself a rhythm to dance by.

"And three, and four, and... urgh!?"

Sakura covered her mouth as she gasped when Laslow had lost his footing. He was able to regain his footing, yet in the moonlight, he was clearly upset.

"I just... ugh... Damn it all!" He shouted. "Why can't I do it right?!"

"I-I thought you did well."

Instant regret.

"WAH?!?"

"EH?!?"

"AAHH!!!"

"AAAHHHHH!"

Silence followed, with both parties locked in eye contact, and neither willing to say anything.

"S-Sakura!" Laslow stuttered. "Wh-what are you doing out here by yourself?"

"I-I can ask you the same thing!" Sakura responded.

"True, but..." Laslow lowered his voice. "You're a princess, and since we aren't safe from invasions out here, it's dangerous for you to be out here by yourself."

"Y-yes, but the same applies to you." Sakura responded. "You may not be royalty, but it's still just as dangerous."

Funny that you should say that, Laslow thought.

Both of them were silent once again, knowing they couldn't persuade each other.

Sakura thought to break the silence. "D-do you always come out h-here to dance?"

"For the most part." Laslow paused. "I don't really have much time to practice throughout most of the day, so I do so at night." He then sighed. "Although today was different."

"D-dare I ask how..." Sakura muttered, yet Laslow seemed to have heard her.

"My mother... had passed away today." Laslow's shoulders slumped. "That dance was the last that she taught me... most of it at least, she never really got to teach me the end of it."

"Oh... L-Laslow..." Sakura wanted desperately to cry. "H-how do you stay so positive? I a-always worry about "what if's" and such... Y-yet, you've already gone through it."

"Would you be surprised if I told you that I'm not positive in the slightest?" Laslow began. "That whole "helpless flirt" shtick I put up is just a facade... I'm far more "doom and gloom" then what I let out."

Sakura's eyes widened. "W-why hide it?"

"Honestly? It's a habit." Laslow then sighed. "Back home, many of us had lost much... and yet I had to be invincible."

Sakura stayed silent, which meant to Laslow that he should elaborate.

"We were essential fighting a loosing battle... yet through it all, I had to show no weakness, that I wasn't hurting... no matter how much we lost, I had to show that there was still something worth fighting for." Laslow looked at the ground beneath him. "I knew that I was essential for morale, that everyone would rely on me... I had to smile even when I knew I shouldn't..." He went silent once again, taking a deep breath. "It worked, in the end... we were able to pull through and save what we had left, yet I still couldn't bring myself to stop... I barely mustered up the courage to tell Odin and Selena, my closest friends, and when we came to Nohr, I sorta fell back into it... It's as if I might no-?!"

Laslow was taken by surprise when Sakura closed the distance between then and pulled him in to a hug, and was she crying too?

"S-Sakura?"

"Y-you've been through so m-much... and you've had to h-hide it all this time..." She looked up to meet Laslow's eyes. "You d-don't have to hide anything from me, oo-kay? I'll be here for you, e- especially when you think that no one c-can..."

Laslow only stood, but slowly, he returned the hug, giving a smile of his own.

"Don't worry, Sakura... I'll let you in... it's the least that I can do for the amount of care you give me."

The hug was eventually broken, with both parties standing around akwardly.

"So..." Laslow began. "Why are you out here?"

"My turn, i-isn't it?" Sakura said in jest. She then took a deep breath. "I've... had another nightmare, and it w-was... r-really bad, perhaps the worse I've ever had..."

"Gods..." Laslow whispered, giving a pained look. "What happened in this... nightmare of yours?"

"Well..." Sakura began. "It's the r-reason why I have those plush dolls... S-someone that I hold dear would end up hurt, o-or worse... d-dead... all because I was weak, o-or that I couldn't heal them on time..."

"By the Gods..." Laslow said. "What happened during Corrin's stay in Hoshido must've been horrid..."

Sakura nodded. "M-my mother died then... I always feel that... h-had I'd been fast enough, I could've healed her, s-saved her..." She then gave a sad sigh. "B-but that's in the past now... there isn't m-much that I can do..." She smiled. "I've had others to lean on... m-my siblings have helped me grieve, and it's for their sake that I've dedicated myself to h-helping others, be it from healing with my festal, o-or like now... with my sword."

"I see..." Laslow said, a smile coming to his face. "I guess we are more alike them we thought... the both of us are without parents, yet their deaths only solidified our resolve... we've had those close to us aid us, and in return we dedicated our time to helping others." Laslow looked to the sky. "Selena and Odin, as well as someone else dear to me... they've helped me go through the grieving process on both occasions, and it's because of them that I chose to aid others, smiling against all odds, fighting for them with my sword, and on the rare occasion, easing them with my dance." He then chuckled as he looked back at Sakura. "We're even equally shy when it comes to strangers."

"Y-you? Shy?" Sakura was surprised. "B-but you always flirt with others! How could you possibly be as shy as me?"

"Why do you think?" Laslow asked. "Flirting is the only way that I can approach others, as strange as it sounds. Any other way and I'm a stuttering mess."

"Hehe... I never knew."

Silence once again took over, yet it wasn't as akward anyone. Laslow realized that it was indeed getting late.

"We should head back, I'll escort you to your quarters." Laslow said, offering his hand.

"T-thank you." Sakura said as she took his hand. "I know you always ask others this, but... m- maybe we could go for t-tea together? Tomorrow, o-of course."

Laslow chuckled. "It would be foolish of me to reject an invitation from a princess... Tomorrow, whenever you're free."

Sakura couldn't help but smile.

Laslow was sitting in the Mess Hall for the time being, earlier then usual. This was simply because Xander had also awoken just as early.

"So..." Xander began as he took a seat across from Laslow. "Sakura... when do you plan on courting her?"

Laslow immediately began to cough and choke as the hot tea he was drinking went down the wrong pipe.

"M-milord?! Surely you jest!"

"We all know what happens when I joke, Laslow." Xander said, his expression unchanging.

"By the Gods... you're serious..." Laslow realized, setting his tea down on the table. "I... don't think I should."

"Oh?" Xander raised his brow.

"Milord, you know that... when this is all over, I'll have to return home... I can't possibly think that she would be willing to come with me, away from both her family and her duties." Laslow looked down at his cup of tea, sadness evident on his face.

"Do you really need to go back, Laslow?" Xander asked, earning a sigh from Laslow.

"I've thought about it, but even then... would her family accept?" Laslow looked back at Xander. "Even if I do decide to stay, there's a chance that her family might not accept us being together... and I'd rather not hide it." He gave another sigh. "There's also... would she even love me back?"

Xander scuffed. "It's very clear that the two of you love one another, whether you choose to see it or not."

Laslow only hummed, earning a sigh from Xander.

"I'm only saying, Laslow... don't miss your chance."

"I'll... see..." Was all that Laslow said.

Sakura was just about finished with what she considered her master piece, her magnum opus.

"So do you plan to give it to him, or...?"

"S-Subaki!!" Sakura threw herself into a panic as she tried to hide the plush she finished. "I-uh... y- you saw that?"

Subaki only chuckled. "At this point, it was pretty obvious."

Sakura sighed. "Of c-course, there's nothing getting p-past you..." She then pulled out the plush. "I- I just hope he'll like it."

"Of course he would, he loves you just as much." Subaki said, giving his usual confident smile.

"A-are you sure?" Sakura asked.

"Of course!" Subaki answered. "Again, it's pretty obvious, at least to me, naturally... and I think the two of you are perfect for one another."

Sakura smiled. "Th-thank you, Subaki... for your s-support."

"It's not my support you need, but your siblings." Subaki said, loosing his smile. "I'll help you in that regard, but you should be mindful of this."

Sakura nodded. "I-I'll cross that bridge wh-when I get there."

"Laslow?"

"Huh?" Her voice brought him from his stupor. "Sakura? What do you need?"

"I-I.. would like to speak with you, if you have the time." Sakura was doing her best to control herself.

"Of course! What is it that you need to speak about?" Always so eager, Laslow was.

"H-how about in private?" Sakura hoped her nervousness wasn't visible. "It's... i-important."

"Ah... I see.." Laslow didn't smile, he was most likely worried.

Hidden away from everyone, they stood together behind the Smithy. No one ever comes back here, so it was perfect.

"What is it that you need to talk to me about?" Laslow asked, turning his attention to Sakura.

Sakura hesitated, before handing a small box to him. She was desperately trying to hide her blush.

"H-Here."

Laslow grabbed the small box, wondering what's inside. Upon opening the box, his eyes widened as he pulled out the object inside.

"Is this... me?"

"Y-yes." Sakura answered, now obviously nervous. "D-do you l-like it?"

It was indeed a plush doll version of himself. Laslow couldn't help but admire the craftsmanship.

"It's... honestly adorable, and really well done!" Laslow said as he smiled widely. "I absolutely adore this!... did you make this?

Sakura nodded, her nervousness now replaced with a smile to show her delight.

"But.. why?"

Whether the question caught her off guard or not she didn't show, and instead opted to answer.

"Remember that nightmare that I told you about?" She asked.

"How could I forget?" Laslow answered. "It was quite the moment, between us."

Sakura took a deep breath. "The person in the nightmare... that died because of me... that was you."

Laslow stared at her in shock, dropping the box, but not the plush.

"Oh my... I'm so sorry." Laslow said as his hand met his head.

"D-don't be... please." Sakura sighed. "I-It hurt, so m-much, but o-only because I... realized s- something about you."

"About... me?" Laslow was unsure of what to say.

Sakura nodded, and yet again took another deep breath.

She threw herself into his arms.

"S-Sakura?!"

"I-I love you!"

Laslow froze.

"Wah?"

"I love you, Laslow!" Sakura said, looking up at him with tearful eyes. "I love you so much, I'm afraid my heart would burst... I can't even tell you why it is that I love you, I just do!"

She panted heavily, while Laslow was letting the words sink in.

By the Gods, Xander was right!

"You've no idea how happy this makes me." Laslow began. "I tried so much not to tell you because I was afraid that you might not reciprocate."

"O-of course I reciprocate." Sakura said.

"I know that now... But..."

Sakura give him a questioning look. "Huh?"

"When this is over, I'll have to go back home, away from Nohr and Hoshido..." Laslow sighed. "I can't possibly expect you'd want to come with me."

"Laslow... Wh-what do you mean?" Sakura looked at him incredulously. "O-of course I'd go with you!"

Laslow tried to hide his surprise. "Truly? Would you really leave your family behind, just to stay with me?"

Sakura paused for a moment. "My siblings... I never really told them, b-but it's clear to me that they won't accept you." She then frowned. "I'm not going t-to let them decide for me, a-and if I have to run away with y-you in order to b-be with you, then so be it."

Silence fell as they stayed in each other's embrace, yet Laslow still had a lot on his mind.

"I would gladly run away with you, if only to keep you happy." Laslow began. "But there's so much that I need to tell you, so much that I can't say..."

Sakura gave a worried look. "You can tell me anything, can't you?"

Laslow shook his head. "Not yet, in much the same way Lady Azura and Corrin couldn't say anything about that place."

Sakura only looked at him, not saying anything more.

"I hope that when I do tell you everything, you'd still love me as you do now, and still go with me." Laslow smiled. "There's so many people I want you to meet, so many things to show you..."

"My love for y-you won't change." Sakura began. "A-and I promise you th-that I'll go w-with you, no matter how far, Laslow."

"Thank you." Was all Laslow said, letting silence take over. The both of them stayed for a while, until someone began calling their names.

"I suppose we should see what they want, yes?" Laslow said, breaking off from Sakura.

"I-I suppose." Sakura muttered, staying as close to him as she could.

"Oh, and by the way... I feel that I should tell you this." Laslow barely whispered.

"What is it?" Sakura whispered back.

"My real name... My real name is Inigo." He said, his voice barely audible.

"Inigo..." Sakura repeated. "I-It's a wonderful name."

"My mother gave me that name." Laslow said with a smile. "Don't tell anyone though, I'd rather not have that name in the history books."

"Your s-secret is safe with me, my love." Sakura smiled back.

(Ending)

The war had ended a month prior, with peace mostly established between the three countries of Nohr, Hoshido, and Valla. During this time however, many needed to be separated for the time being, and Sakura absolutely hated being separated from Inigo.

Once Anankos was defeated, Inigo had told her everything, and while at first she felt great sorrow and disbelief, she nonetheless still loved him, and was determined to keep her promise of going with him back to his home. Sakura missed him dearly, with him being in Nohr to help the now King Xander, and her in Hoshido for her brother, now King Ryoma. That made today one of the best days of her life, because now she could see Inigo once again.

"Here to see Corrin become Queen as well?" Inigo said as he approached, catching Sakura by surprise.

"I-Inigo!" Sakura shouted as she ran to meet him in a crushing embrace. "I m-missed you so much, Inigo!"

"You seemed to have taken that name quite well." Inigo jested, returning the crushing hug. "I couldn't bare being without you for so long."

"I-I feel the same way." Sakura responded as she loosened the hug. "I... I think it's time we g-go now, after my s-sister's coronation."

"Truly?" Inigo asked, getting a nod from Sakura.

"Wh-when we got back to Hoshido, I o-over heard my siblings talking about potential s-suitors for me." Sakura began. "I-I don't want to be pushed into a m-marriage that I don't want."

"I see." Inigo responded. "Then I'll just need to let the others know, Severa and Owain... I'm sure they can't wait to go back as well."

"My retainers sh-should come with me." Sakura added. "I-I don't want them in any trouble."

Inigo smiled. "I'm sure they'll be more then happy, especially Severa."

After Corrin's coronation came a large celebration that was slated to go far into the night. During said party, a group of individuals had made a quite exit outside of the castle.

"I guess this is it then." Severa said. "I'm gonna miss this place, and I'll especially miss Lady Camilla."

"I feel the same way about our dear Lord Leo." Owain added, theatrics put aside. "You surely feel the same with King Xander, don't you dear cousin?"

"You know me well Owain." Inigo said with his usual smile. "As much of a hard ass as he was, he's a good friend, and will make a fine king. I wish him only the best."

Sakura only smiled along, with her retainers close behind.

"Aren't you gonna miss your siblings, my leige?" Subaki asked, half in jest.

"Of course I will." Sakura answered. "But I must do this, I-I won't marry a noble."

"Aren't I a noble?" Inigo jested, earning a warm smile from Sakura.

"Y-you're a prince, Inigo. My prince." Sakura corrected. "That's certainly better then a noble, yeah?"

"Can we get going already?" Hana said, constantly looking behind them. "I'm sorry for interrupting you Lady Sakura, but I don't think the others should see us here."

"She's right." Severa stated. "You have the crystal, Owain?"

"I thought you had the crystal." Owain responded.

"What!?" Severa looked at him incredulously. "But you were supposed to grab it! I told you to grab it!"

"Settle down, I have it." Inigo interrupted them, holding a large crystal ball that seemed to give off a light glow. "Gather around everyone... It's time we go back to old ground yet again."

Before anyone could say anything, the crystal bass began to glow brightly, and continued to get brighter until it was almost blinding. Then, in a flash, the light dimmed, and what used to be a group of people remained emptiness.

"Th-this... This is the largest tree I've ever seen!"

They now stood at the roots of the largest tree in the known world, the Mila Tree. Sakura and her retainers looked at the large tree in awe.

"It's the Mila Tree." Severa started. "It's said to grow from the corpse of the divine dragon Mila, after she was slain by Emperor Rudolf of Regel."

"I'm surprised you know that story, not many do." Inigo said.

"Mother told me. She said it has some significance within our family bloodline." Severa then shook her head. "Not like it matters, especially now. We're a long way from Ylisse."

"Yes, indeed." Owain began. "We are currently at the location where our journey through worlds began, from when we tried to change the fate of this world, and the fate of theirs."

"A fitting location, really. If only for the sights." Subaki added.

Inigo looked to Sakura. "There's still a bit of a journey ahead of us... Are you ready, my love?"

"J-just lead the way, my love." Sakura said with a smiled, grabbing a hold of Inigo's hand.

Both Hana and Severa blanched.

"You two need a room as soon as we get home."

"Yeah! So absolutely no funny business until we get there, okay!?"

Inigo only laughed, while Sakura blushed madly.
