Chapter 1: The letter

Colin Creevey had just gotten Hogwarts acceptance letter. His brother Dennis was jumping up and down with excitement. 'Colin! You're a wizard! Harry Potter is at Hogwarts! Isn't it so exciting, Colin!' squealed Dennis in excitement. 'It sounds so exciting, doesn't it!' replied Colin, 'and next year, YOU'LL be at Hogwarts with me!' exclaimed Colin. 'Yay!' Dennis replied, his voice going so high up you couldn't hear it. The letter read:

'Wow!' breathed Colin and Dennis. 'I can't believe this! My little Colin a wizard! And I'm just a milkman!,' said Colin's dad proudly. He slapped a hand around Colin's back, 'A wizard, eh?'. Colin simply beamed, 'Dennis is going to be one too? Isn't he?' asked Colin. 'I don't know laddie, the last wizard in our family was 100 years ago, who knows?' replied Colin's dad. 'Awww! My sweet Colin, going off to boarding school in September. He'll be a great wizard Brian, won't he?' simpered Colin's mum. 'Yes Anne dear, he's the first wizard in our family in 100 years!' beamed Brian. 'Mum! Mum! Can I get an owl! Please!' begged Colin. 'We'll see if your father gets a pay rise Colin,' 'By the way, are there instructions on where to get to this 'Diagon Alley'?' Anne questioned. 'Yes! Yes! It's here!' Colin said excitedly. He waved the sheet of parchment around his parent's eyes. 'Calm down Colin, I can't read it!' exclaimed his parents. His parents had quickly read through it. 'Can we go! Can we go!' exclaimed Colin. 'We'll go tomorrow' replied Anne. Colin and Dennis hardly slept that night as they were furiously discussing how great Hogwarts would be and even more, their visit to Diagon Alley the next day. It would be the first step for Colin in becoming a real wizard.

Later in Diagon Alley, Colin was staring in awe at all the wizarding things that he would need. 'Look Dennis! Over here! Look into here!' Colin would shout. 'Wow! Isn't this so exciting, Colin!' Dennis breathed. 'Right Colin, last thing on our list, ah, the caudron' said Brian. 'What about it?' asked Colin. 'Well, to put it simply, we haven't got enough money to afford it, I'm really sorry Colin,' Brian explained. 'Never mind. I bet Hogwarts has got loads of spares. I'll just borrow one then!' said Colin cheerfully. All worries were gone now and Colin and Dennis resumed their frenzied chatter.
