I do not own Hetalia okay? I've been toying with this idea for awhile and it's honestly more of a comedic series of oneshots with all sorts of pairings and I have a few picked out but you can suggest ones I work with as well. And where these all aren't related, if one person of your ship has already been used, then I can work it with another. But anyway, enough of this A/N, on with the fic!

"Roddy, this is getting boring..." Elizabeta said as she looked at the cake she had ordered with disappointment.

"And disgusting. Why I thought the Olive Garden would be acceptable food is beyond me? It is pretty much just pasta from a can. I can hear Feliciano and Lovino yelling at me." Roderich sighed.

"It's because you were feeling cheap. You had a coupon." Elizabeta sighed.

"I could make you something at home." Roderich offered as the check was placed down in front of him. "Danke..." he waved as he looked down at the prices "57.71! That's outrageous! I could have made this at home myself for a fraction of the price. The wine was not worth what they charged here..."

"I'll put in extra for the tip..." Elizabeta sighed as she pulled out her purse. "

"It is not the waiter's fault this food is subpar." Roderich yelled as he looked around for someone to complain about the price about.

"Do not worry about it." Elizabeta said as she took the check and set aside the tip. "I will pay for this. I just got paid today." Finding the waiter, she quickly paid and took Roderich to the car where she could tell he was feeling his wine, having drunk a little more than she did, took the keys and drove home with her husband. Yes, he did have a right to complain about the prices, for what they charged for the food and the quality did not match what I was expecting? Or am I still out of touch on how much things are these days? Either way, it tasted like the frozen meals I make for lunch in the microwave. As she turned into the driveway of their house, she sighed.

"Is there something wrong my love?" Roderich asked.

"We've been doing this date night thing every Friday for a very long time now. It's not as romantic as when we first started this..." Elizabeta sighed as she sat down on the couch and looked at Roderich's grand piano. One of the requirements of any house we bought, it had to fit his piano in the main room. She laughed slightly as he headed into the kitchen to make them a cup of tea for the evening.

"So you are saying it has become more routine than romance?" Roderich said from the kitchen as he heated the water.

"Quite possibly." Elizabeta said. "And this is the only time we have to each other it seems as our jobs keep demanding more and more of us. I only see you and my coworkers... We have been married so long we are just used to each other..."

"Perhaps maybe next week we can do a double date with another couple?" Roderich asked. "So it doesn't seem like the usual routine. They will pay their way of course."

"Of course. And we can do it more often if we find a couple we like to hang around with. It would be nice to make some friends, couple friends." Elizabeta smiled.

And it was this idea she had come to regret. Roderich had contacted an old friend of his who seemed to have a similar problem. An old couple who had been with each other forever who needed to just meet up with others. Oh how innocent it seemed. That day they had arrived at an upscale restaurant by the riverside. It being late spring, the patio was open for dining and this was where Roderich and Elizabeta had met his old friend, or as best as Roderich could relate the man to to his time in college with, Francis and his husband Arthur. The evening had started out well enough. The restaurant was Francis's recommendation. And after looking at the prices, it was good that they agreed on separate checks for each couple. They had better live up to the hype I had been hearing about this place... She said as she looked at the menu. "It had been awhile since I had been somewhere this fancy!" She said.

"Well did Roddy get cheap since graduation?" Francis laughed.

"Some of us do not have lots of land to profit off of." Roderich said.

Sensing tension, Elizabeta then turned to Francis and figured she should make some small talk. "I met Roderich out of college, and he never mentioned you and Arthur here from those days, how did you two meet?"

"Oh Miss Eliza," Francis said grabbing Elizabeta's hand and kissing it, causing Roderich to look at his old college friend annoyed. "Relax Roddy, I have no interest in your wife like that. I am just being formal."

"You can go easy on the overly romantic attitude Frog." Arthur spoke. "And yes, I met Francis here after we had both graduated from college. Sometimes I do wonder why the hell I married you..."

"Oh nonsense." Francis smiled. "You love me dearly."

"Or maybe I forgot to get a prenup..."Arthur groaned.

"Oh like you would not make off like a bandit if you ever were to convince yourself you didn't love me, no?" Francis laughed.

Roderich had placed his face in his palm while Elizabeta looked at the two awkwardly. "So, I have heard plenty of you from Roderich, Francis but I have not heard much about you Arthur, what do you do?"

"Why thank you for asking Eliza, you do not mind me calling you that do you?" Arthur said. She nodded her approval, "Well then, I am actually a literary critic for the local newspaper and recently started a blog to keep up my reader's thirst for my scathing reviews of all things literature."

"Oh. Sounds lovely." Elizabeta replied being polite.

"It is actually that way I met Francis. I was sent to review the local theater company's performance of Les Miserablesand one thing led to another after being stuck next to him in the seats. Apparently Francis is a fan of Victor Hugo. So much that he sings the songs from the musical in the shower. Badly." Arthur said rubbing his temples.

"Oh I make you sing in other ways than that in the shower mon cher...ohohohoho..." Francis laughed as Arthur blushed.

Elizabeta pulled Roderich close and whispered in his ear. "You didn't tell me Francis and Arthur were like this, constantly bickering. It's killing the mood."

"I did not know myself. I speak with Francis a lot and he did bring up that he was bored with his husband and looking for a few couple friends like you did. He hardly ever complained to me about things Arthur did." Roderich whispered.

"Well I am going to tell them if they keep it up!" Elizabeta huffed.

"Be my guest." Roderich said. "I need to get him back for his essay in college about how Beethoven loved France and was more French than Austrian..."

"Oh you." Elizabeta rolled her eyes and turned back to Arthur and Francis.

Luckily it was at this point that the dinner was brought out, stretching out the time that it would be before someone would make a backhanded remark towards their spouse. I honestly wonder if those two aren't just into arguing, like it is their thing in the bedroom... "The food here is very good. Thank you for the recommendation." Elizabeta replied as she ate some of her salmon.

"Oh yes, Roderich told me of the disappointment of your last date. Well complained more about the price than anything."

"I could have just spent a third of the price for that quality myself and made it at home and not have disappointed Eliza like she was." Roderich huffed.

"Ohohohohoho...is Roddy here disappointing you as a husband?" Francis teased. "I can assure you I do not have that problem with Arthur as much as he would deny it."

"Is this really the place for that?" Arthur blushed. "I mean there was a reason I would rather have just invited them home and cooked."

"Are you any good at cooking?" Elizabeta said.

"NO!" Francis said jumping up. "His concoction catch fire easily or become some sort of monster and you'd never want to see us again."

"Well way you two keep arguing, I should say I hardly think it would be something I am eager to do again." Roderich said as the desert order was placed.

"Honestly I was surprised you were wanting to get with other couples Roddy." Francis teased. "I had never pegged you and Eliza as being into the same things we are..."

Roderich looked at Francis curiously as Elizabeta looked at Arthur who seemed to be looking at her sort of love drunk. Maybe he is a lightweight when it comes to his alcohol but I only saw Arthur have two glasses... "Well I may not like paying a lot for dates, with a place of this quality I am willing to make an exception. The food was excellent. Thank you for the recommendation." He replied.

Francis looked at Arthur who nodded. "Would you like to come back to my place for tea Eliza?"

"And I yours for some?" Francis asked.

"Uhhhhh...what are you proposing?" Elizabeta asked nervously...

"You see Arthur and I have sort of an open marriage..."Francis began as Roderich's face grew red. "And I had thought at least from what Roderich told me you two were bored with each other so we'd do as they call it, swing."

"Well I never!" Elizabeta said as she took her purse and smacked both Francis and Arthur. "Let's go! I wanted another couple to have dinner with, not that! Roddy?"

"I should say so!" He huffed as they got up and left as the waiter came with the checks. "They decided to pay for it all."

"Oh pooo." Francis sighed as Roderich and Elizabeta walked away. "Well there's always Alfred and Ivan I could try talking into this..."

"I would rather be hit with Eliza's purse again than Ivan's 'magic metal pipe of pain'." Arthur moaned as he pulled out his wallet.

"I know, I know," Francis moaned. "Does she have a frying pan in there?"

"Felt like it." Arthur said.

So how was that? Short? Long? Funny? Raunchy? Let me know in a review. This series will have AustriaxHungary as the main couple but I have a few planned for right now and you can suggest which ones I do this with, yaoi, yuri or het. Updates won't be as fast as some of my other works, but this is a fun little side project of mine. That and I am working on a sort of spin off alternate ending fic to The Longing of the Heart so I have a lot of projects (good thing off season is coming up soon...) So remember to read, (well you just did) and review. Ciao for now,
