Detective Conan Hattori Shots

(A/N: I own nothing and while talking with my bestest friend, and impulse control, I realized that there are very few sightings of Shizuka Hattori or her husband Heizo despite them being Heiji's parents and Heizo being the Chief of Police in Osaka… and the fact that their son seems to adore Conan. I decided to fix this! Mainly by screwing with people. AU OOC)
"How dare you be so disrespectful as to call her 'old lady'!" Kogoro was shaking Heiji slightly after hearing the brat refer to the beautiful Shizuka as 'old lady' just after another of his 'sleeping' episodes where he solved the case.
"I doubt she minds since she's my mom and all." Heiji said and Ran and Conan were just as stunned as Kogoro was while Shizuka merely smiled at them.
Conan didn't even hear what Ran said that had Heiji yelling about how he got his skin tone from his grandfather. He was too busy plotting something. After all Heiji nearly got him busted as Kudo a few times when Ran was nearby and loved to mess with him about being so short now and being a 'kid'.
So Conan promptly decided to use his childlike appearance to be a little shit.
"So what happened to Heiji-nii?" Conan asked drawing everyone's attention to him.
"Huh? What do ya mean what happened ta me?" Heiji asked looking at Conan confused just as everyone else did.
"She's really pretty but you…well Heiji-nii is Heiji-nii." Conan said and Kazuha snorted slightly.
"What's that supposed ta mean ya brat?!" Heiji demanded making Conan blink wide innocent eyes up at him.
"She's your mom right?" Conan asked looking at Shizuka who crouched down to be closer to his eye level and smiled at him.
"Yes. Heiji is my darling son." Shizuka confirmed as she looked at the boy curiously. After all he had been the one who had brought forth the idea of Shunya-san being in a registered kendo competition which would have his address and number on the form. And he had been the one to point out the picture in his hands.
"But you're really pretty. Heiji-nii isn't. So what happened?" Conan asked and he definitely heard Kazuha snickering now while Heiji spluttered.
"C-Conan-kun that's rude!" Ran tried to scold him but Kazuha waved her down.
"Nah let Conan-kun talk. It's what Heiji gets fer callin' Auntie 'old lady' all the time." Kazuha said grinning and making Ran look a bit conflicted while Shizuka was smiling gently at Conan.
"You call him Heiji-nii?" Shizuka asked and Conan nodded his head.
"Mhm. He's annoying and likes to mess with me but he's nice sometimes and keeps me safe when there's bad people trying to hurt me." Conan said making his voice and face as childlike as he could physically stomach. He hated having to act like an actual child like this but if it meant he got to mess with Heiji…well…the other teen had it coming.
"I see." Shizuka said and then held open her arms a little.
"Would it be alright if I hugged you Conan-kun?" Shizuka asked making Conan look confused but nod his head. Immediately he was gathered in Shizuka's arms and held like a child as she stood back up.
"Heiji why didn't you tell your father and I that you adopted a little brother?" Shizuka asked smiling softly as she glanced down at Conan and then over at her son while Conan looked confused and curious and slightly baffled by this. He hadn't expected this to happen at all.
"Eh? What are ya talkin' bout old lady?" Heiji looked just as confused and thrown as he stared at his mother.
"Ne. Ran-neechan how come I'm being rude and get in trouble when I say that she's pretty but Heiji-nii can call her an old lady without getting in trouble? Isn't it rude to call her that?" Conan asked looking at Ran who looked kind of thrown on how to respond. After all Heiji was her son and if Shizuka had something against being called old lady by him she would have said something by now right?
"Heiji-baka stop bein' a bad example fer Conan-kun!" Kazuha said whacking Heiji on the back of the head.
"Wha-?!" Heiji looked so confused and disbelieving that it was actually funny.
"What are ya gettin' mad at me fer Kazuha?" Heiji asked looking at Kazuha in disbelief while Shizuka chuckled slightly and adjusted her grip on Conan a bit.
"Isn't it just like the big brother to set a bad example for his younger brother?" Shizuka asked chuckling and smiling at her son and then down at the boy in her arms.
"You adopted quite the observant and cute little brother Heiji. I'm sure he'll be a detective just like his big brother or maybe he'll work in the police force like Heizo…I'm sure Heizo will love you when you eventually meet him Conan!" Shizuka said smiling brightly at the little boy but it was soft too. It reminded Conan of his mothers smiles sometimes when he was younger.
"H-Heizo?" Conan asked tilting his head slightly confused and making Shizuka hum a bit and nod.
"My husband and Heiji's father. He and I always did want at least two children of our own…we couldn't give Heiji a younger brother the normal way but it looks like he decided to adopt his own brother. I don't expect you to call me 'kaa-san' or anything like that, and I know Heizo won't be expecting you to call him 'tou-san' but that's fine. Just don't call me an 'old lady' like your big brother does okay Conan? And be sure to come and visit us whenever you want, especially if you're in Osaka again." Shizuka said while Conan was obviously confused and thrown since he didn't expect this at all.
"Ah. Okay?" Conan asked more than said while Ran and Kazuha both seemed to be touched that Conan was being adopted in all but deed so quickly.
"What are ye yammerin on bout old lady? Yer actin' like you an' the old man will be 'dopting the runt." Heiji asked staring at his mother confused and in disbelief.
"Looks like you have that little brother you asked me for a few years ago Heiji! Don't be mean to your little brother okay? I can't wait to tell Heizo about Conan!" Shizuka said smiling brightly and Heiji fell silent. He had never seen his mother look anything but calm and sometimes proud and with soft smiles…he couldn't recall when he had seen her smiling so brightly before except for a few times when he was little before something happened when he was around six and her smiles stopped being so bright.
"I'll leave my phone number with Ran-chan. Feel free to call anytime Conan." Shizuka said and she nuzzled the top of Conan's head, giving him another affectionate squeeze before she handed him to her son as she scribbled down her phone number on a loose notepad in the apartment and handed it to Ran.
"I'll be off to head back home now and let Heizo know about Conan. Have fun with your brother Heiji and come visit us soon Conan!" With a happy wave Shizuka vanished from the apartment and was off with a hum.
"Heiji-nii…what just happened?"
"I think she just 'dopted ya."
"Aww that's so cute how she's so happy to adopt Conan-kun immediately."
"She's right 'bout Heiji-baka bein' mean ta Conan-kun though. It'll be up ta us ta keep him from bein' a bad example and being mean ta him."
"Oi what are ya talkin' bout?!"
"Heiji-nii can be pretty rude."
"Who's side are ya on?!"
"Ran-neechan and Kazuha-neechans."
"Conan-kun is smart! 'Lways side with the woman Conan-kun. We're 'lways right even when we're wrong!"
"Now who's teachin' him weird things?"
"She's not wrong. Take it from me."
"See listen ta Detective Mouri! He knows we're 'lways right!"
