Ronnie Mercer was a kid with his fair share of problems, who just wanted to get by. Then by chance, he meets John Kreese, and everything changes. He pledges to make him strong, make him respected, make him feared. Kreese, well, he gets to see if his methods still have a place in the world after all, and something he hasn't had in a long time, a protégé. What will Ronnie become?

Hello all! Crusader here to announce this new story. Over the last year or so, Cobra Kai is a series I've really gotten into. As a fan of the Karate Kid franchise, I love everything about it, the characters, the philosophies, the fights ,the themes, the relationships, everything. I didn't think that it would get me back into writing after my hiatus though, but here we are. The idea for this story came from a simple thought. What if during the time period of season 1, John Kreese had his own protégé? Just like Johnny with Miguel, and Daniel with Robby. What if he took a student under his wing and instilled his values and philosophy into a troubled kid? How would it factor into his schemes and ultimate plans and change the story of Cobra Kai as a whole?

That kid, will be Ronnie Mercer, a character I took a great deal of time in fleshing him out and making him feel as canon and true to the series as possible. He won't be the only original character used in this story either. The story will largely follow the story of the series, with a few added storyline and some that play out slightly differently. I will also cover the time between certain points in time in the show and time between episodes. We'll begin some time before the events of the first episode.

With all that said, I can say that I will try and have the actual first chapter up soon, preferably this week. Yet as of now I can't commit to a consistent upload schedule because of college, so it will be on a case by case basis for a while. But I refuse to abandon this story. To all those who decide to read, thank you and I promise that you're in for a ride.

I do not own Cobra Kai or the Karate Kid franchise and I do kit claim to. Those characters were created by Robert Mark Kamen and the writing a be production team of Cobra Kai under Sony Pictures. I own only the characters and storylines created by me.
