The night was dark as they blundered their way to a remote part of the planetoid they were on. Rose was tired. They had been walking all night. Rey was nervous and she could tell Ben was too. If they made it off the planetoid without detection it would be a miracle. There were almost constant patrols looking for them. They knew The First Order would be a different headache than this, but they almost longed for it. It would mean that their first step in their plan was done. Each of them tried in their own heads to come up with a plan. Nothing ever sounded right. The idea of the escape was fantastic, but they didn't have anything after that.

It was near dawn when they stumbled upon an expanse of ruins. They were relieved. It would be a good place to hide as the sky lightened. They entered a crumbling building and sat down. They were about to rest their eyes when something pulled at Rey and Ben. They glanced around the room looking for the source. They spotted a trap door. They shared a glance before regretfully getting to their feet. They opened the trap door to find a staircase leading downwards. The something pulled at them again, this time with more force. They slowly descended the staircase, weary of what might be at the bottom. When they reached the final step, lights erupted around them. This room below seemed to be a shuttle bay. It wasn't any shuttle bay that they had ever seen. It looked like the crafts were supposed to fly straight up.

"What is this place?" Rose asked making them both jump. They hadn't realized she was behind them.

"We don't know," Rey replied. "It just called to us."

"It looks to be exactly what we need. If we can get one of those crafts running, we can get ourselves out of here," Ben added.

"These crafts must be ancient do you think they will fly?" Rose asked.

"We can only hope."

Poe and Finn had tried to delay the news of Ben's escape with Rey and Rose desertion as long as possible. They wanted to give those three as much time as they could. It would make things easier later. It had only taken an hour or two before the entire compound was either finishing up preparations or looking for the three of them.

Poe was the leader of the search party and the few times he saw Rey and the others scrambling in the darkness, he led his team away. It was dawn now and even Poe hadn't seen Rose and the others for hours. He was tired and he knew the pilots that had flown with him were too.

"General Rine, I know this important. I know we need to find them, but we have already stretched ourselves thin trying to get off of this planet. All of us need rest if we are to leave tonight. The First Order doesn't expect Kylo back for another two days after. We have a moment of time." Poe was trying to sound logical. It was true that they all need rest, but he was more worried about Ben and the others being found than the alertness of the other rebels and Rine needed and excuse to call off the search.

General Rine rubbed her face, glad of Poe's quick thinking. "You're right. We can't go on like this. Call off the searches. Rotate the schedule so that everyone has a few hours of rest before tonight. If we have to, we will come back to look for them."

"Of course, General." Poe turned quickly away trying not to smile. He had given them time.

It was midday and Rey and Ben were at a loss. They could not figure out how these crafts worked. Ben was fuming in the center of one the crafts. Rey could feel the dark side of the force rolling off of him. She walked up to him, took a deep breath and placed a hand on his shoulder. She pulled strands of her light from her core and slowly teased them into Ben. As he calmed down and their powers intermixed some of the console lights in front of the pilot's chair lit up. They heard a beep as the ship powered up some of its basic functions. The lights flickered on and the air circulation unit kicked in.

"What did you guys do?" Rose called from the out of the craft.

"We're not sure, well I'm not sure at least," Rey called back. She looked at Ben who had a questioning look on his face.

"It can't be," he muttered to himself. "I didn't think that was possible."

"Didn't think what was possible?" Rey asked placing a hand on his shoulder.

Ben was startled out of his reverie. He shook his head. "There was an old text I found after a raid on an outer rim planet. It wasn't a Jedi text, but it also wasn't a Sith text. It was somewhere in between. It spoke of harnessing the force to power man made things such as ships. I laughed it off when I first read it. I didn't this it was possible." He looked up at her. "But you felt how our powers intermixed just then and how balanced everything felt."

"So can we get this thing flying then?" Rose asked as she poked her head into the craft.

"I think so," Ben responded. He started moving around the ship. "We need to find," he trailed off as he walked away. "Rey!" he called.

Rey walked into the belly of the ship to find him in a room made of what looked like amplifiers. "What is this room?"

"It's how we fill up the tank. Thankfully to power this ship we don't need to be constantly providing force power. This room helps contain and store the force power we generate. It also helps to increase the force power. I'm not sure exactly how it does it. I don't remember to be honest. Alright, now I need us to do what we did before."

They both sank into power. They let it flow through their skin before pushing it out into the world. The ship fueled quickly and soon they were sinking their power back into their own skin.

"We have a way off this planet." Rey said excitedly.

"Really?" Rose poked her head around the corner.

"It should work now," Ben confirmed.

"Alright we leave tonight. In all their plans of escape I doubt they notice one ship leaving a while away from them," Rose commanded.

"Tonight then."
