A Moment Of Harmony
The little girl dying in her arms, the one that was as much as a sister to her as Prim was, asked her to sing. Katniss could not deny Rue her last wish.
"Deep in the meadow, under the willow
A bed of grass, a soft green pillow
Lay down your head and close your eyes
And when they open, the sun will rise."
And for a moment, all was still and calm. The forest around them was in silent harmony, allowing this last bittersweet meeting to take place in such an unforgiving place.
But even harmony cannot last forever.
