Chapter 1
" Unexpected Anomaly"
" I am so sorry Brooklyn for bringing you into this mess." My younger twin sister Bella said as Alice, Edward, her and I were being escorted toward the leaders of the vampire world known as the Voltori.
I sighed before giving my sister a reassuring smile knowing fully well what our fate will most likely be.
"It's fine Bella, it was my decision to come along, I knew what I was getting into the moment we left Forks."
And I was being truthful, I knew the moment Bella started dating Edward and she learned about the supernatural world there was a possibility it wouldn't end well for us and it seems my visions and dreams were right.
The only thing I was more concern about in the moment than our possible death was our father Charlie.
I couldn't imagine the pain he would go through when we never came back...
He had a hard time when Bella was going through her depression, but losing two daughters it would destroy him.
Renee had Phil so I had no worries for her but Charlie had only us...
Maybe it would have been better if we had stayed back in Forks, but then again if it weren't for Alice and her unreliable visions in seeing Bella jump, getting only half the picture and telling Edward she died things wouldn't have ended up like this.
I could feel Edward gaze at my direction likely trying to attempt to read my mind but I knew it was pointless since Bella and I were the only ones he couldn't read, although the same could be with Alice since out of the two of us she couldn't see my future which was strange since we shared similar abilities.
Although Alice and I share psychic abilities, that ability wasn't the only ability I have in fact I also shared Edwards ability but only a little different.
Unlike Edward who hears nonstop thoughts of countless people my ability only works if I wanted to focus on one particular person and hear their thoughts and when I grew tired I can stop and shut them out, which made him jealous when he found out.
Needless to say the only ability the Cullens knew about was my mind reading and being psychic just like Alice except a little bit different than her, which was how I want to keep things since I don't want them to find out about my other gifts.
We walked through the dark underground tunnel for what seemed like forever as we follow our guides till we finally stop in front of a wooden door which stood open with a lot of lights.
I felt a cold hand grab ahold of me which made me jump a little from the cold but then saw it was Bella who I could tell was nervous as she cling closer to Edward while also gripping my hand and squeezing it in comfort briefly before letting go.
Bella may be strange at times and reckless but out of the two of us I was much braver and never showed much emotion or react to dangerous situations which now that I thought about also made me strange.
I wondered if we got more genetics from Renee now that I thing about it, that would explain a lot on certain aspects.
I loved my mom but she could be a handful at times with her chaotic nature, I mean she is eccentric and has a childish personality but still I loved her.
She may be heartbroken if we die but still I had faith Phil will be there for her that I knew for sure.
And with that train of thought we stepped into through the door and into the light
It was a unremarkable hallway.
The walls were off-white, the floor carpeted in industrial gray. Common rectangular fluorescent lights were spaced evenly along the ceiling.
It was warm at least which I was thankful for.
After the door closed behind us we continue on our way till we came in front of another cloaked figure at the end by the elevator.
I couldn't see his face but I could sense he was powerful as well as the other two.
Once we got inside the Elevator the three cloak figures relaxed and lowered their hoods.
One male had chopped black hair short while the other male had long hair that went to his shoulders.
Felix and Demetri
Those were the names I got from looking briefly into their minds.
Edward meanwhile I saw his eyes fixated on the small girl call Jane as he did his best to keep Bella away from her as best as he could in the elevator.
I may not like Edward personally after he left and Bella was in a state that left her lifeless ,but even I knew he would give his life for her no matter what.
Jacob no doubt will have a bit of competition that's for sure.
Once the elevators open we got out and stepped into a reception area where a woman stood behind a counter.
I knew right away that she was human by her green eyes but couldn't comprehend why she was here in the first place.
She must be aware of the amount of vampires in the building surely...
Curious I decided to look into her mind and found she in fact was aware of what was going on but didn't care since she was hoping she would be changed by the Voltori in the future.
Talk about taking a calculated risk...
And here I thought Bella was the only insane person in wanting to be a vampire but it seems this woman bested Bella given she is surrounded by Vampires who drink human blood and could kill her at any time.
The woman smiled as we stopped in front of her.
"Good afternoon Jane" she greeted politely, no surprise on her face as she gazed at all of us.
Jane nodded. "Gianna"
And with that we continue on our way toward a set of double doors.
We met another person along the way, a pale boy in pearl gray suit who without a doubt was Jane's twin.
"Jane"
"Alec" she responded embracing him and each kissed both cheeks.
A sibling bond without a doubt I sensed.
Alec turned to face us.
"They send you out for one and you come back with two and two humans" he noted as he looking at both Bella and I. "Nice work"
Jane laughed.
"Welcome back Edward you seemed to be in a better mood." Alec said.
"Marginally" Edward agreed in a flat voice as I saw the stone face he wore.
Alec chuckled and looked back at Bella and I.
"So the one that is clinging to you was the one that caused all this trouble or should I say the both of them?" He asked both amused but skeptical as well which I wasn't surprise.
I could only imagine how It look to him with our different apprence with Bella shivering slightly with a frighten look while I wore a straight face and had a strangely calm attitude.
I heard Felix call dibs causing Edward to turn around and snarled behind us at Felix, who in turn just grin.
Fortunately Alice managed to calm him down as they exchange a glance.
"Now is not the time" I heard Alice say to Edward before quickly tuning out.
Meanwhile...
"Aro will be pleased to see you again." Alec said as if nothing has happened.
"Yes, let's not keep him waiting..." Jane suggested as we continue on our way.
This is it.
After stopped in front of yet another door Alec held it open and with that we enter into the room in which our fate laid.
We came into a bright cavernous room perfectly rounded like a huge castle turret.
Two stories up, long window slits threw thin rectangles of bright sunlight onto the stone floor below.
And in the middle of the room were 3 wooden chairs like thrones that were spaced unevenly.
The room was not empty.
A handful of people were in a corner of the room in a conversation but stopped when they noticed us.
A man in a long dark robes and long dark hair was the first to speak.
"Jane, dear one you have returned!" He cried in delight as I watched as he drifted forward with slightly more grace than the Cullans if that were possible.
As he came more closer I got a good look at him. He possessed a great deal of beauty like most vampires I came across and I noticed after briefly studying him that the same vampires he was with earlier seem to be positioning themselves in a certain formation around him.
Bodyguards...
He must be one of the 3 kings.
His skin was translucently white and it looked delicate and for a strange reason I wanted to touch his cheek to see if it was soft.
But it wasn't till that I saw his eyes that I changed my mind as I saw the red eyes of a killer.
Unlike the golden eyes of the Cullens, red meant they drank human blood.
But still his eyes were beautiful in their own way as I gazed at him.
The king glided toward Jane and took her face in his hands and kissed her lightly on her lips and then floated back.
"Yes Master" Jane smiled looking like a child who was praised for her work. "I brought him back alive, just as you wished."
"Ah ,Jane." The king smiled. "You are such a comfort to me."
He then turn to look at us with a smile but when he caught my gaze he seemed to freeze slightly as he stared at me which surprised me.
"Felix, be a dear and get my brothers, Im sure they wouldn't want to miss this!" the man said as I saw him flickering his gaze at me again much to my confusion.
"Yes Master" and with that Felix disappeared.
"I see Jane brought along Alice and Bella as well but as for the other young lady whom I presume is Isabella's twin, I wasn't aware of her existence in your memories why is that?" he asked Edward in a slight accusing tone with a hint of restraint anger.
All 5 of us were surprised especially Edward who I focused on to read to see what the man was referring to.
"Huh..that's very unusal..." I heard him say as I saw past images of him coming earlier here as Aro , the man before us had grabbed his hand and watch as his gaze seemed to focus elsewhere and watched as I saw Aro's POV of him seeing Edward whole life story from his birth, transformation, to meeting Bella but what had caught both Edwards and my attention was when I was being introduced to him instead of seeing myself it seem like a blur image of a person and no voice was heard especially when it looked like I was talking.
My head was starting to hurt the more I continued to watch not only Edwards thoughts but Aro's thoughts that Edward had read as well so I had no choice but to shut him out or risk getting a huge headache all day.
Now I remember why I never like to read Edwards thoughts...it always was too confusing since he also read thoughts.
Bella and Alice turn toward Edward for a explanation which judging by his expression he didn't seem to have one.
"Aro has the ability to hear thoughts just like me except he needs physical contact for it to work but unlike me he hears more while I only hear a person current thoughts." Edward explained as I saw his eyes shift towards me.
"But it seems that for some reason my memories of Brooklyn are cloudy in Aro's thoughts almost as if she is being hidden like how she is hidden in not only in my thoughts but Alice visions as well..."
