Sorami City

That's right. All he wanted was to quietly and quietly live his life. But now with their deadly karate chops, he had these two girls by his side. Moreover, a pervert flying-obsessed and the worst existence in the history of mankind. Not to mention the super touchy-feely number one beauty of the school and a jackass from the private school. Finally, those alien creatures – oh, crap.

There are more of them now. Still, he just wanted his everyday peaceful, ordinary...

.

Everyday…

.

Ordinary…

.

However, it didn't matter to Tomoki Sakurai if his kind of normal is not at some moments. After all, much of the shameless pervert still wanted to be like Eishirō Sugata, his senpai. Deep down, he was a curious boy who wanted his life's adventure. But… he was frightened.

Tomoki once found something in the mountains which he thought was fascinating. He wanted to see it with the rest of his class, but a friend of his was wounded by his failure. Then nobody wanted to go with him again to the mountains. He was all alone, the next thing he knew. He learned that, sometimes, the soul which sees beauty must walk alone.

Fortunately for him, he learned the tranquility of being alone. He also learned how to differ from 'alone' and 'lonely'. Being alone doesn't mean being alone. It's beautiful to be alone. That's why he was alone this evening at long last.

He sat on a hill outside the city, next to the humble 400-year-old Cherry Blossom Tree. He thought about all the insane things that have recently gone down. Chaos - the 2nd-Generation Angeloid, Type ε - absorbed Hiyori Kazane - the Time and Weather Angeloid, type ζ - who enabled her to understand emotions fully at the expense of her life. She understood well and was a little wrong and was led to believe that she should kiss Tomoki by Hiyori. She visits Tomoki and reveals that she was an Angeloid, but Nymph - the Electronic Warfare Angeloid, type β - who had discovered the body of Hiyori and thought she killed her, interrupted her conversation.

Tomoki was impaled in the back after stepping in the way of Chaos' wing in the ensuing battle. She retreated to the Bank of the River in a desire to 'restart it all.' Meeting Sugata, she manipulated him into making a wish with the Rule, a powerful obelisk that grants wishes. The Rule began its goal to start the whole world anew as the world started to break apart and disappear. The world itself would have eventually been destroyed and rebuilt.

The original people, animals, buildings, and whole countries would be completely washed away. Astraea - the Close-Combat Angeloid, type Δ - fought Chaos, her weapons and shield are evolving. After having used too many of her powers, the body of Chaos exploded and took Astraea down with her. Nymph confronted Minos near the end, and she destroyed herself to remove Zeus, the Synapse's most powerful weapon. After taking Tomoki to the Synapse, Ikaros - Tomoki's personal Strategic Battle-Class Angeloid, type α; the frightening entity who shook the Synapse; the Uranus Queen - burned into nothing and showed him, for the first time, her smile.

Finally, Tomoki met Minos, the Synapse Master, at the Acropolis and Tomoki struck the Angel with Ikaros' Variable Wing Core with all his strength. Tomoki advised him to try to come to Earth, just as Minos stabbed himself. Later on, after years of frequently appearing in Tomoki's dreams beforehand, he met Daedalus in person at the Field of the Heavens. Daedalus then revealed to Tomoki that she was the real Sohara Mitsuki - his next-door neighbor and childhood best friend. The other Sohara was one of her Replicas, an artificial copy of a person.

The first Sohara, the child, was Daedalus' sick avatar who died, and the second Sohara who grew up with Tomoki was a healthy replica that watched him from then on. She created the Rule obelisk and the cards with it in addition to creating the Angeloids. Daedalus told him about the Synapse and its people while she took Tomoki to the Rule. Angels were the world's first prevailing civilization. Their technology ultimately provided all their material requirements and enhanced their biology to functional immortality.

Angel technology's greatest products were near-omnipotent, real-working computers, which could be called on remotely to do nearly every job. Each computer was bound to a set of divine rules under the High Council's control to avoid the misuse of this technology. In fear of cultural stagnation, those who remained experimented with human avatars and eventually constructed the Synapse system which, via inducing dreams, would link their minds to avatars. The angels sought to feel mortal fear and joy through these dreams. Thanks to the late Sugata, with the appearance of a new space on the rule, Tomoki relived Ikaros and all those who died wishing to the Rule that they can return to their normal lives.

This included Chaos and Minos, the former Tomoki welcomed into his household when everybody has been resurrected, where she finally learned what love is. For a brief moment, Tomoki smiled to himself softly. Tomoki was a normal teenage boy with disheveled black hair with spiky layers with an ahoge. For his age, he is pretty short, much shorter than most of his schoolmates and friends.

His smile, however, fell when he heard - for the seventh time on this day - that mysterious disincarnated voice. Such a voice confused him. It said the same thing - the same word - to him as it did before.

Keyblade…

.

.

.

Set in the grass, Tomoki held out his palm to the stars, repeating: "Key… blade…" For the past seven days, a week after the Synapse incident, he recently began having these strange dreams that left him questioning whether or not all of this was true. An enigmatic voice would direct Tomoki through a stained-glass vacuum while it tried to forewarn him of something coming. Something he didn't quite understand. Tomoki is eventually swallowed by some kind of monster and awakened by his faithful Ikaros who announce that it was a nightmare. The term 'Keyblade' was repeated every three hours throughout most of the day with that voice in his head - a voice not his own.

Tomoki stood upright, strapped his hair again, and cried out, "Get out of my head!" After he let it out, emotionally drained he collapsed to his knees. The young man looked down at the city which was overseen by the Cherry Blossom Tree. However, he remained in the grass on all fours. Tomoki growled, "What the hell is a 'Keyblade' anyway!"

Suddenly, as a headache started, Tomoki kept his head in his hands. His knees' balance dropped, and he blacked out.

Tomoki dropped back, eyes closed, sinking deeper as he was tracked by bubbles. He was waking up and managed to settle down on a dark platform within the dark abyss. He looked around and made a move to progress. A shimmering light came from the platform as a great flock of doves soared in all directions and dispersed feathers everywhere. When the wind whipped at him, the boy covered his eyes.

He saw them go as the last plumes dropped. The gigantic, illuminated stained-glass column – which rose from unseen depths – was now presumably depicting a young boy around the age of Tomoki. He was a little short, but notoriously higher than Tomoki, for his age. He was a slender young man who looked innocent and had a sleek, round face. His 'baby face' was framed with a peculiar dark-blue hairstyle, its color being similar to the night sky.

His eyes were closed as if he slept. The boy was clad in a silvery-white jacket, with star-motif buttons, drawstring, and sequin details on his pockets. Below him was a black shirt with symbols that look something like a windy eye. He wore silvery-white and black cropped pants and black buckled boots with silver soles. There were black gauntlets on his hands, decorated with silvery-white linings and gray bands, wrapped around his wrist in silver-white humps.

Tomoki turned around and was overwhelmed to see someone who had been dead for a long time. But his similarly perverted grandfather, Tomozō Sakurai, wasn't here this time. In reality, Tomoki's grandmother, Tomomi Sakurai, was here instead. Tomomi was an elderly woman who wore a bun with long silver hair and tanned skin. She was small and seemed to be hunched over, requiring the use of a walking stick.

Just as he remembered her, she wore an indigo kimono, in particular. Tomomi also wore a pair of red zōri sandals and white tabi socks on her feet. The grandmother of Tomoki walked through the station to her grandson as she said, "So it's time already?"

"Grandma?" Tomoki jumped in surprise as he realized that it truly was Tomomi. The elderly woman just smiled at him before she smacked the boy on the head with her cane. He yelped, "Dammit! What was that for!?"

"Taking the same degree of perversion as your grandfather. Truly disappointing!" Tomomi replied as an exasperated sigh left the elderly Sakurai matriarch. "Honestly! How shall you inherit my Keyblade if all you can think about is tail?" Tomoki's eyes grew wider and wider as she spoke.

"I heard that word before… but, I hadn't heard that term before today," he said.

Tomoki asked, "What is a 'Keyblade'?" Tomomi turned her back to her grandson with a smile and looked up.

"The Keyblade is a mysterious, yet truly wondrous weapon," the elderly Sakurai matriarch answered. "They play a big part in the conflict of light and darkness, Tomoki."

"Light and Darkness?" Tomoki asked.

"There are other worlds within every star up there," she said. As she spoke, Tomoki's eyes widened more and more. "True that it may be difficult to believe, that aside from ours, there are so many other worlds, don't you agree? An infinite World made up of many smaller, interlinked worlds, extending into and beyond the eye. It is full of light and all of us in this vast land are covered by a larger light.

"There is one light in all worlds, one destiny." She stuck her hand out and called her forth her Keyblade in a show of light. Tomomi turned around to face Tomoki to show him the Keyblade. The 'Keyblade' had a round-shaped guard, with a black exterior rim lined with short pinches and a red inner rim. A red fleur-de-lis symbol like the one on the back of his jacket was inside the hilt.

The handle is black and 'wrapped' in dark-blue cloth. The blade consisted of a ruby gemstone with a thin shaft and another fleur-de-lis with prominent wings for teeth. The token was a black fleur-de-lis with a ruby in the middle of it. Tomomi continued, "We who have the Keyblade - built in the χ-blade's image - have been given the task of protecting that light… Infinity Hearts… and the worlds from darkness." She held up the Keyblade and named it, "Valor's Discretion and I have been together for a very long time.

"Yes, before you ask Tomoki, while this Keyblade is precious for me, it is also just precious for me. The Keyblade is answering you now, however, and I look forward to you taking good care of it, young man." For a second Tomoki was silent before he spoke in his turn.

"But… what if I don't want it?" When Tomoki inquired, he was once again smacked on the head, this time with Valor's Discretion.

As a result, it hurt a lot more than before. He rubbed the top of his head with both hands and cried out, "Why does that hurt so bad!?"

"The Master of the Keyblade is chosen by the Keyblade. And you, Tomoki, are the one it picked," Tomomi declared. "You don't want it, do you?

"You're out of luck, then! You could throw away the Keyblade if you like, but like a yo-yo, it's just going to return to you. It's not going to let you go."

"S-So… I cannot live in peace anymore!? Because of THIS!?" Tomoki glared hatefully at the Keyblade. "Th-That's… That's just too unfair!"

"First off, life has never been fair. Secondly, your whole motto on how peace and quiet is the only way to live…" Tomomi said, "sounds like an excuse to hide from your fears that come with the loneliness of the adventurer."

.

.

{🎶 Dive into the Heart -Destati- end 🎶}

Tomoki's eyes grew wide as his grandmother hit a nerve. Tomomi continued, "Tomoki, I am not going to deny that the fate of all great souls is living alone. If you're different, you're bound to be alone; that's exactly how it is. Having said that, deep within one's heart, everyone wants to live an adventure. We travel from one life to the next with the same plan until some ultimate purpose is fulfilled and we no longer need to return."

Tomomi reached out for her grandson only for him to slap her hand away in panic.

"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! You have no idea what you're talking about." Tomoki rushed up to Tomomi and clung to her kimono as if he were a terrified child, sobbing. He begged, "Please, don't make me go through it again. I won't survive it again."

His grandmother began to pet his head softly.

"You have all your time in front of you, and you can use this time to see so many things," said Tomomi. "To live so much more than what you are doing now. Besides… if you stay behind like this, don't you think you will end up alone either way? That is what you fear.

"Yes, everyone must indeed have the bravery to travel alone, to go on their own adventure at times." She summoned Valor's Discretion to her hand once more and spoke, "Tribulation rises with audacity, dread with restraint. This is your violet hour, the hour of wonder when the affections of light and courage re-emerge when the shadows deepen along the edge of darkness and that's our belief is strong. "Listen to your heart, for it's always right, even if it's on your left." Before Tomomi spoke again, there was another beat of silence.

"Fear leads to darkness, Tomoki. Fear breeds wrath, wrath breeds hatred, and hatred breeds agony," she paraphrased. "Don't let fear be your guiding key… Let your heart be that. Great courage in the face of danger is the definition of valor."

.

.

{🎶 Ventus end 🎶}

.

.

Tomomi finished her speech to allow Tomoki to mull over her words. Tomoki looked at his grandmother before directing his gaze to the Keyblade in her hand. Valor - Courage, Bravery, Fearlessness. When was the last time he truly felt valorous? Unfortunately, the answer was seven days ago, the Synapse Incident.

However, at the time, it was a matter of needing to be brave rather than wanting to. After the Harpies were forced to blow up by their master, Tomoki decided to rage against the Heavens, true. He had plenty of Minos and decided to go up the Synapse to kick his ass. The person who beat Minos with Ikaros's core power was Tomoki. By wishing the rule that he could have his normal life back, Tomoki resurrected everyone that died.

Even if it didn't appear so, Tomoki had to look deep down to find a lot of courage to do all of that. Courage that he thought he had lost long ago. He regained the courage he thought he'd lost a long time ago. Now he is being asked to seek that same courage, not because he needed to but because he wanted to. Valor is a rare gift.

Many that have it never know with certainty if they have it before the test arrives. The valor to act is always identical, no matter how large or small the obstacle appears. Nevertheless, what might be like a little act of bravery is bravery. The main thing is that one must be ready to move forward.

Tomoki looked at his hand and clenched it as he came to a final decision, summoning his valor. Tomoki nodded to his grandmother before grabbing the Keyblade. Tomomi nodded in return as she recited the oath of the Bequeathing ceremony.

"In your hand, take this key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking… its wielder, you shall one day be," she said. "And you will find me, friend — no ocean will contain you then.

"No more borders around, or below, or above, so long as you champion the ones you love." Tomoki's chest started to glow brightly, and he fell backward as he closed his eyes. A heart surged from his chest and ascended towards the sky of the Dive to the Heart. Tomomi said, "May your heart be your guiding key." Tomoki and Tomomi erupted into a million points of light that floated through the air before dissipating.

The Sky

.

Ikaros flew through the Sky in search of her master.

.

.

{🎶 Terra 🎶}

.

.

Using her massive pink, angelic wings to soar above the ground, the voluptuous and beautiful Angeloid scanned the environment with her emerald eyes. Earlier, Ikaros' ahoge began to twitch again, indicating that Tomoki was in some form of danger. With only a simple message, Ikaros rushed out of the Sakurai Family Home to go to her master's rescue, the others scrambling to catch up. Ikaros' pink pigtails and long red ribbons waved through the breeze as she flew to the Cherry Blossom Tree.

Finally joining Ikaros was Nymph, Astraea, Chaos, and Hiyori while Sohara, Sugata, and Mikako followed in a white van on the surface below. Despite her wings being the iridescent wings of an insect, the blue twin-tailed Nymph was able to keep up with her 'sisters' and communicate with them.

"Alpha! I'm detecting that Tomoki is over at the Cherry Blossom Tree!" Nymph declared. Hiyori turned around to look at Nymph, her navy-blue hair and bells dancing in the wind.

"Eh? What would he be doing there…?" Hiyori asked.

Hiyori thought about for a moment before her dark blue eyes grew wide with a realization. She asked, "W-Wait, do you think that it's about what happened, do you?" The golden-blonde bombshell Astraea turned to Hiyori with confusion. Astraea, with the least intellectual ability of Angeloids, is somewhat unintelligent. Hiyori continued, "I mean, a lot did happen last week! He may have gone out to take a breather!"

"It doesn't change the fact that Master is in danger now!" Ikaros replied, her ahoge twitching to prove her point.

"Yeah! Onii-chan is away from us! Let's hurry and get Onii-chan back!" Chaos cried over the wind. She doesn't have wings like the other Angeloids. Instead, she sporting a wicked array of bladed, almost organic-like appendages that Astraea had to fly under. The older blonde gave Chaos a pat on her head as she flew next to her.

"Don't worry! He's a dummy," said the hypocrite. "I'm sure he will be just fine. Besides, nothing can happen to him because that would mean no food for me!"

.

.

Down with the van, Daedalus, Sugata, and Sohara were in the back as Mikako and her Angeloid, Oregano, rode shotgun with one of her men. Sohara clutched her skirt with anxiety, so worried for Tomoki. All Ikaros told them was that Tomoki was in trouble before bolting out of the house. Sohara began to tear up as she affectionately called his nickname, "Tomo…" Daedalus turned away from Sugata - who was on his computer - to slightly move to her Replica.

The blue-haired Angel began to pet Sohara's sporting long brown ponytail gently and Sugata worked on his computer to communicate with the Angeloids above. Sugata was thinking of the possibility that the Master of the Synapse had something to do with the current predicament. The bespectacled white-haired boy stared into his computer with his expression remaining neutral. Deep down, Sugata was trying to dismiss the possibility, thinking something greater was at play. His instincts were screaming at him that there was more to this new occurrence.

"You know… when I was a little girl, I remember hearing a story that might interest you, Sugata." The President of the New World Discovery Club turned to the Student Council President. Mikako's ever-present smile remained as she looked in the rear-view mirror and continued to speak. "'The world is whole and full of light,' my nanny used to tell me. Infinity Hearts," Daedalus went tense at the name, "the center of all worlds - is the source of this light.

"But it is not within our reach and, according to this legend, many came to want the light. With this desire, darkness was brought into the world with their greed and envy. I didn't believe in it at first, but then, the… Synapse Incident, I started to wonder if this was real…" Sugata, Sohara, and Daedalus turned to look at Mikako.

Then, Mikako said something shocking: "I bring this up because… well, the nanny who told me this story was none other than Tomoki's grandmother." Sugata's eyes narrowed while Sohara and Daedalus wore expressions of shock.

Cherry Blossom Tree

.

As both groups closed in on their location, Ikaros spotted Tomoki's face first in the grass between the Cherry tree and the small evergreen. The five Angeloids descended from the Sky to the earth below. Ikaros rushed to Tomoki's side and asked with concern, "Master…?" Nymph joined her and the petite Angeloid gently grasped the scruff of Tomoki's neck.

"Initiating Scan!" she activated.

Blue light emitted from where Nymph's hand met Tomoki's neck as her blue eyes electronically began to glow themselves. As the data began to pour into her, she said, "Respiration rate: 99% normal. Body temperature: 72% normal. Brain wave pattern: 100%. Blood pressure: 100%." Suddenly, Nymph gasped in horror, causing the others to grow worried with concern.

"Nymph…?" Ikaros asked cautiously. The surface group finally joined the Angeloids as Nymph was frozen in horror.

"What's wrong?" Sugata asked. Only silence was found for several beats before Nymph finally spoke again.

"Pulse rate… nonexistent," Nymph finished.

Sakurai Family Home: Washitsu

.

Ikaros carried the 'reactor-less' Tomoki to their home. She held him close to her chest like a groom carrying his bride. The group returned to the Sakurai Family Home - a medium-sized house - and laid him to rest in his room. After that, Ikaros sat in front of her watermelon garden and became as motionless as stone. Ikaros had remained silent ever since Nymph told everyone that his heartbeat was missing.

Speaking of, though everyone in the room was upset in one way or another, they were troubled by something else.

"I just don't get it," said Sohara. "If Tomoki's heart has stopped, how is he still alive? All of his other vitals were perfectly normal, weren't they?" No one said anything. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of the keys on Daedalus' computer. The four-winged Angel, of course, was trying to figure out and solve the problem at hand.

Sugata looked at her as she worked and, being the curious intellectual he was, decided to question her. He asked, "Daedalus, do you know anything about what's going on? Has this ever occurred in the past?" Daedalus stopped typing at the question, giving him his answer.

"Not like this. This is rather different from what happened in the past," she explained.

"What do you mean?" Nymph asked. Daedalus was silent for a moment, a few beats passing by. She clenched her hand a bit with hesitation as thought of what to say.

.

.

{🎶 World of Synapse 🎶}

.

.

"On a metaphysical level, the existence of any living thing is made up of three vital components: the body, the soul, and lastly, the heart," Daedalus answered. "The body provides a vessel to the heart and soul, giving the person a physical look and shape.

"The body is a conduit for the heart and emotions of an individual to communicate in the physical world. The soul, also known as the spirit or the mind, gives the body life and is the difference between being alive or dead. It is the energy that motivates and wills the body to live. The primary sense of 'heart' refers to a spiritual animating force rather than a physical organ. Almost everyone is confused as to what exactly makes up a heart.

"However, we were able to understand in the Synapse that the heart regulates the body. We discovered that when a being loses their heart, their body and soul wither to nothing."

"You're saying that Tomoki lost this metaphysical heart?" Mikako asked.

"It is possible." Daedalus returned to typing. "However, if that is the case, then why is his body and soul still here?"

"Maybe because he doesn't want to leave us behind," said Sohara. "He's too sweet and kind for that!"

"Even if his personality had anything to with that, there is only one other circumstance I can think of that should have happened in its place," Daedalus denied. "His strength of heart should have produced a Nobody."

"That's a bit rude, don't you think, Daedalus?" Mikako smiled. The blue-haired Angel turned to the purple-haired vixen.

"That's not what I mean, Miss Satsukitane," Daedalus said calmly.

She continued to explain, "The soul will take possession of the now empty body when someone with a strong will loses their heart, and they will begin to function alone to become a 'Nobody.' The name is because these beings are doomed to a state of non-existence. With his strong will and loss of heart, the fact that his body remained should have meant the creation of his Nobody. But now, instead, he is staying in a catatonia-like state. It just doesn't make sense."

"This sounds like a challenge if even you don't know despite your knowledge about the world…" Sugata said.

"I think you mean 'about this world,' Sugata," Daedalus corrected.

"Hmm?" Sugata hummed as Daedalus looked down.

"As I told Tomoki, we remade the world many times in search of the hope that was our desire to reclaim a 'lack of freedom,'" she said. "However, the power of 'Rule' is limited to changing only this world.

"We have no power over the other worlds that exist." Sugata's eyes grew wide with wonder at the two words that made up 'other worlds. Daedalus continued, "Many other worlds, each one different in some way or form, bearing traits that make them unique to others. And they are all just as ancient as the Synapse as well."

"No way…" Sohara said.

"And the heart of this 'World of worlds' is, indeed…" Daedalus paused and finished, "Infinity Hearts." Mikako gasped at that, recalling their conversation from before. Daedalus looked at her and said, "It's true, Satsukitane… Infinity Hearts is more than a fairy tale." Everyone was silent at this information that they were given.

"But wait… If this is real, then…" said Sohara, "does that mean that Tomoki is involved somehow…?"

"W-Well, remember what I told you?" Hiyori spoke up, "Tomoki did not exist, regardless of the alternate universe, I walked in, when I vanished and wandered over the hyper-dimension. Tomoki existed only in this world's time axis."

"Which means Tomoki's existence may be tied to another world," said Mikako.

"Exactly," Daedalus confirmed.

"Hold on… You mean he might be from another world?" Sugata asked, pushing up his glasses, "But… What does that have to do with his heart?"

"The heart is the most complex of the three components that make up one's existence," said Nymph. "Who knows the answer to that, Sugata."

Daedalus went back to typing as everyone was left to ponder this bombshell of information. It left a question on everyone's minds. One only Sohara voiced her question: "But it doesn't make any sense… If Tomoki isn't from this world, then how was he born here?" Mikako then had an epiphany from the bombshell brunette's question.

"Maybe, despite being born here, Tomoki doesn't belong in this world because his ancestry was recent," she said. "One of his ancestors must have come from another world and, as a result..."

Sugata finished, "Tomoki was born an anomaly in this world."

"Ammo Alley? What's that?" Astraea asked. Everyone remembered that Astraea believed one plus one equals either purple or blue and ignored her to continue the important subject.

However, all of their answers would soon be revealed without trying to solve the problem. There was a knock on the front door. Everyone turned to the Genkan - the traditional Japanese entryway area for the house.

.

.

Sakurai Family Home: Genkan

.

The Genkan was right in front of the front door which Sohara was about to open. Usually, greeting guests would have been Ikaros' job. However, she was still in a state of depression in front of her watermelon garden. So, Daedalus' Replica was back to that duty… and she was confused by what she was seeing in front of her as she opened the door. Tomoki's mother, Tomoyo Sakurai was sexually harassing Yoshitsune Hōōin and his sister, Tsukino.

"Ooooh, just look at you, you young little toddlers!" Tomoyo said as she groped the young man and his sister respectively, "You are going to attract so many people! Boys and girls alike! Oh, I just love how they feel!"

"Knock it off, you deviant peasant!" Yoshitsune demanded as he tried to hold on to his pants.

… The pair that Tomoyo was trying to pull down.

"O-Onii-chan! I don't like this, Onii-chan!" Tsukino cried. Sohara gulped, knowing that she had to save them and knew what it would cost.

"M-Mrs. Sakurai…?" Tomoyo stopped and stared at Sohara with a blank expression for a few beats. She let go of the Hōōin and charged at Sohara who panicked.

"Sohara! It's been too long!" Tomoyo cheered. "Here, let me have a feel! I've got to see how big and sensitive they are! Oh, you have grown into such a wonderful woman!"

Sohara stood in place preparing for the worst but it never came as Tsutsumi Sakurai - Tomoki's father and Tomoyo's husband - came to her rescue with his chop signature.

His karate chop was similar to Sohara's: deadly. Tomoyo fell to the ground in pain as her husband yelled, "Don't forget! The reason we are here is for our son!"

Tomoyo's eyes grew wide and then, her expression turned serious as moved from he lay in the ground to her feet. With a pained expression filled with worry, concern, and motherly love, she gazed at Sohara softly.

"Where's Tomoki…? Sohara, where's my baby?" Tomoyo asked, tearing up.

Sakurai Family Home: Washitsu

.

Back in the Washitsu, Sohara, Sugata, Mikako, Nymph, Astraea, Chaos, Daedalus, and Hiyori were joined by Tomoki's parents and the rich, private school siblings. There was a bit of awkward silence as the parents sat in an anxious state of despair. They had been to see Tomoki in his room, Tomoyo crying upon seeing her child. Now, they said that they knew what happened but needed a moment to collect their thoughts. However, Sugata needed a question answered.

Not specifically from Tomoki's parents themselves. The Hōōin would do just as nicely. He turned to Yoshitsune and asked, "How did you hear about Tomoki's condition?"

"You mean that you don't know?" Yoshitsune asked.

"For some reason, the televisions of every person in town turned on mysteriously," Tsukino explained.

"They all broadcasted a message that something was happening to Tomoki that would change him forever," her brother finished.

"Wait, do you think that Tomoki losing his heart is linked to that? But why?" Astraea asked. The rest of the Angeloids gasped in shock at what Astraea said.

"Wow, Delta! You said something smart," said Nymph. "I'm surprised you were able to follow everything from our conversation before." In response, Astraea pouted at her older, yet smaller sister.

Daedalus sighed at the two Angeloids bickerings.

"Back to what Astraea asked, what exactly does she mean in Sakurai losing his heart?" Yoshitsune asked.

"According to Daedalus," said Sugata, who pushed up his glasses, "a person has two hearts and the one we are referring to is a metaphysical animating force."

"It's basically what we call the brain," said Mikako as she leaned back, "given that the heart controls the body. However, for some reason, removing the metaphysical heart seems to have some kind of effect on the organ as well."

"Somehow, how Tomo's heart has been lost," said Sohara, "and the process has left him in a comatose state of some kind." Tomoyo drew out a long sigh, drawing everyone's attention. She looked up with a stoic gaze, much to the contrast of her usual personality. She looked around the room for a moment before looking down at the tea that she made herself earlier.

"He didn't lose his heart… He willingly left his body," she said, dropping the bomb.

Everyone remained in their places in a state of disbelief. Tomoki left? But for what reasons and why would he leave his friends? Tomoyo turned to Daedalus and asked, "Assume that you have already filled them in on Infinity Hearts and the World of worlds, correct?"

"I have, at least everything that I know about it anyway?" Daedalus replied. Tomoyo quirked an eyebrow.

"Does that include information about the χ-blade?" Tomoyo asked. Daedalus turned to the Sakurai Matriarch in confusion.

"The χ-blade? What is that?" The Angel Inventor asked.

"So, you don't know, huh?" Tomoyo said, closing her eyes. "'χ'… A most ancient letter. Some say 'kye,' but the meaning is the same. Death… A letter that spells endings.

"The χ-blade is a legendary weapon coexisting with the Infinity Heart itself. It is a perfect link to all hearts and worlds. The χ-blade is the equivalent of Infinity Hearts, serving as its protector. The Master of Masters - who was gifted with the power of foresight - studied the χ-blade and thus learned to remove Keyblades from the hearts of others." Sohara raised her hand when Tomoyo mentioned the 'Keyblades'.

"You said he could remove χ-blades from the hearts of other people," she pointed out, "but I thought you were implying that there can only be one χ-blade."

"Keyblades - made from the heart of an individual - refers to the word 'key,' Sohara." Tsutsumi spoke this time, continuing, "As in a small piece of formed metal with cut-out incisions to match the wards of a certain lock. It is the original after which all Keyblades are imperfectly modeled from." Tomoyo took a sip of her while her husband spoke in her place.

"The Keyblade only allows a selected wielder to take it," Tomoyo said, her tone laced with frustration, "but anyone with the strength of heart to hold a Keyblade can give or take it or manipulate it if left. Those who cannot hold a Keyblade - even when a wielder hands it over to them - cannot hold it… My mother was one of these warriors of the Key. I, on the other hand, am not." She took a sip of her tea in annoyance while Tsutsumi sighed and everyone else was confused.

"A Wielder at the level of a Master may also select someone with a heart that is powerful enough for its successor," he explained. "This is mostly accomplished with the Bequeathing, but often when the wielder allows an applicant to tap on the Keyblade or if his heart is linked. The Bequeathing is a ritual where a Keyblade player decides to inherit a Keyblade from one person. It only works if the person doing the Bequeathing is at the master level of a Keyblade and if the person becoming legacy has the heart to hold a Keyblade. Due to her father's perverted influence, unfortunately, Tomoyo failed to get a Keyblade when Tomomi performed the Bequeathing."

Tomoyo huffed and drank her tea more.

"That must mean that the Keyblade must have skipped her and moved on to Tomoki," Nymph speculated. But everyone was thinking the same thing: that made no sense. Tomoki was just as perverted as his mother and grandfather. What made him any different?

"So… What are the powers of the Keyblade?" Sugata moved on and asked, "Is this why Tomoki left in the first place?"

A moment before she spoke, Tomoyo was silent. She sighed, "At best, Keyblades are the representation of the hearts and wishes of its wielders. As such, it's easy to say a Keyblade can manipulate the heart itself. Those who are known as 'Keyblade Masters' have the power to draw their hearts or the hearts of others away. They can also remove part of one's heart."

Everyone's eyes grew wider with each word.

"My old lady must have come back from the dead somehow to perform an early Mark of Mastery exam on Tomoki," said Tomoki's mother.

"A-An exam? B-But why?" Hiyori asked. "Why did he need to do that?"

"The Mark of Mastery exam is an event that serves as a test for those strong of heart that has been selected by the Keyblade to become Keyblade Masters," Tsutsumi said. "The condition for passing is up to the Keyblade Master acting as the examiner."

"Apprentices of Keyblade Masters that pass the exam have two choices," said Tomoyo. "One is that the new Keyblade Master takes on their own trainees and shapes their world into a new one. Or two – the Master of Keyblade may go on their own journey. If the second choice is selected, there are many different routes."

"Okay, so how does this exam work?" Sugata asked.

The President of the New World Discovery Club continued, "Do they test their skills and hearts?" Tsutsumi locked his hands together.

"The exam itself varies in its process," said the Sakurai Patriarch, "with some being simple duels and others being entire journeys to resolve pressing issues. At least from what I have been told. However, the examiner is the one who determines if the applicant still meets the criteria for passing.

"My mother-in-law is the only Keyblade Master we know, and she's been dead for a long time. She can start the exam, but she can't serve as its examiner."

"What you're saying is Tomoki is taking a final exam with no judge," Mikako stated.

"It sounds that way unless he can find another examiner to assess his status," Daedalus theorized.

"Maybe that's why she sent Onii-chan's heart away," said Chaos. "So, he can find someone else to determine his grade."

"But how, though? He doesn't have a body anymore," asked Nymph.

"Hearts removed from the body lose some of the physical shape's limitations." Tomoyo went on to say, "They can travel through time itself as long as there is a version of themselves to welcome them. One can even enter the bodies of other people. In my son's case, however, one may even have the ability to manifest a temporary physical form."

Everyone in the room without this information gasped, and Ikaros twitched in the backyard. Ikaros' eyes were wide as she looked down at her collar. When they found Tomoki's empty vessel earlier, the Imprinting between them had disappeared. Yet, it was only now that she realized that the chain was still connected to something on the other end of her collar. Which meant…

"Master…" Ikaros rose to her feet and spread her wings, prepared to ascend beyond the heavens to find her Master.

"Ikaros…?" Sohara called out as everyone took notice of the Strategic Battle-Class Angeloid.

"I will find my Master, no matter the cost," the Uranus Queen stated.

"It's really hard to travel between worlds," Tomoyo said. "The Ocean Between is large and endless-long before you hit Tomoki, it will take a while and be too late. Furthermore, it would be much easier to let him open a door to summon you.

"In my baby, I've got confidence. As his servant, you should, too." Ikaros turned to Tomoyo as the TV turned on without warning, startling all occupants in the house.

.

.

Throughout the town of Sorami City, everyone was going about their day-to-day lives when their televisions either turned on or changed channels. Everyone was confused by this mysterious phenomenon as each one played a certain rhythm. On each TVs' monitor, the screen was dark with a faint glow and all that could be heard… was a pulse. Several, to be exact. For some reason, each TV was playing the faint sound of several heartbeats.

.

The gang looked to one another before slowly moving to the living area. They all nearly formed a circle around the chabudai as they prepared themselves to watch Tomoki's Mark of Mastery exam. Ikaros raised a hand to her reactor and said, "My… Master…"

.

.

The sound of the beating of the heart was heard when the dark showed a bright, pink, cardiac crystal that flowed in an odd abyss. The lonely heart soon joined another six hearts, totaling seven.

.

.

"Seven hearts…?" Daedalus noted.

"Why is Master's heart along with six others?" Ikaros asked, "Does that mean they are suffering the same fate?" Tomoyo's eyes narrowed as she remembered the number. Seven was a rather sacred number, especially for Keyblade wielders.

"There is a world out there that is under the complete control of Keyblade wielders," she said to everyone in the room. "It is… Well, it was… ruled by Seven Keyblade Masters. It may be about that."

"Was?" Sugata caught on.

"One of the Masters who formed the seven was given a role to leave and watch the world from afar," continued Tomoyo. "The one who gave him the role - The Master of Masters - was also one of the seven.

"But, according to my mother, the Master dimmed, faded, and vanished without a trace." Daedalus clenched her hand at the mention of the Master of Masters. She didn't know much about Keyblade and their connection to Kingdom Hearts, but she knew him. He was… a bit of a character.

.

.

As the Seven Hearts fell deeper into the abyss, the empty nothingness became water and bubbles form in the wake of their descent. Soon, the hearts began to manifest humanoid forms, starting with the last two on the left. Dead last to the left was a young man of average height; his eyes were closed as if he was asleep. He had a rather refined face that was framed by a short mess of fluffy, jet black hair with a prominent ahoge. He is a rather muscular young man who is well-built for his age, despite having quite a thin frame.

He wore a midnight blue robe with a high collar sleeveless white shirt, black pants and boots, and midnight blue cloth covering his left leg and arm. The costume also included a pauldron, and the young man's chest was covered by two straps.

.

.

"Hey! That's not the dummy!" Astraea pointed out.

"Please be patient, Astraea," Hiyori tried to smile.

.

.

At his right side was a slightly pale girl, with average chestnut-brown hair. Her hair, which reached just below her shoulder blades, had matching blunt square side-bangs on the left side. A part of it has been tied up on her head into a half ponytail. She wore a large, pointing, navy blue hat. She wore a short marine blue robe with red trim that matched her lining to the chest, which continued in her attire.

The coat also had a hood with designs for the red circle. She had a marine blue crop top and long marine blue trousers, and her hood was low. She appeared to be dormant, too.

.

.

"A witch of some kind?" Mikako noted.

"Hmm… She looks rather dense and foolish," said Yoshitsune. "I mean, what kind of face is that?"

"I think she looks rather adorable, like a rabbit!" Tomoyo chirped before her eyes narrowed. "A shame that she's rather flat like Nymph."

Nymph blushed and covered her A-cups in anger and self-pity. In his frustration, Tsutsumi karate-chopped his wife on her head for her insensitive comment.

.

.

Then another child, last at the right, had short fuzzy, dark-green hair, stuck at strange angles around the head, throwing remarkably dark shadows on itself. He's been a little short for his age like Yukinari and his hair framed his round face. He has four symmetric freckles on each cheek that give him an innocent look in a diamond shape. His cap is mostly gray, and the cap is black and green. His sleeves are gray and have white lines that separate them from the blue border.

He wore a golden U.A. badge on his chest with two crossing straps. The boy with green hair wore dyed beige glovelets with blue stripes on each side. The green hair boy also had two-color pants; his pants legs were beige with many buttons on his body which seemed to be attaching his legs to the rest of the dark-colored fabric. He had two high red tops with black laces and white soils.

.

.

"Huh, not too bad," said Sugata, "though the guy seems like the shy type. I wonder what U.A. stands for, though."

"I could be the kanji for it, Sugata," said Mikako with her smile. "U.A. written in Kanji is yūei (雄英) which is the inverted kanji for 'hero' (英雄)."

.

.

A young beauty that was a picture of delicate and elegant grace floated to the left of the green-haired boy. Her midsize blonde hair was cut into the form of plumb and shoved with a black headband from her bangs. The Blonde wore a silver jacket with a white and indigo hood and a silver jacket. She was dressed in a black and white skirt, black stockings, white boots, and black and white gloves.

.

.

"I don't know why, Sugata," said Yoshitsune. "However, this girl sort of reminds me of you." Sugata made a confused hum, not quite following. Yoshitsune continued, "She has the appearance of one born to high society like us but holds the air of a commoner. As if she was forced to learn how to get her hands dirty.

"Much like you, Sugata." With Yoshitsune's statement finished, Sugata looked away. The world had returned to normal thanks to Tomoki, and with it, his parents' disownment of Sugata. Sugata gave the girl a once-over and noticed that she did hold the description Yoshitsune described.

.

.

Finally, the three hearts in the center took on humanoid shapes as well. Tomoki floated to the right of the central heart. He now wore a carmine jacket with a fur trim collar and a fleur-de-lis emblem in the back. He was wearing a white v-neck shirt underneath. Tomoki also has black trousers and three red belts and black boots and gloves connecting.

.

.

"Master…!" Ikaros called out.

"What is the new wardrobe?" Nymph asked before she backtracked and said, "N-Not that it doesn't suit him, but… is it part of the exam?"

"They may have the power to magically alter his physical appearance in certain worlds to avoid standing out," said Tomoyo. Sugata turned to her in confusion and surprise at the mention of magic.

He voiced his question, "I'm sorry, but did you say magic."

"Yep, as in real magic. Magic is an offensive or supporting skill, and it differs from weapons because it is usually confined to certain factors," Tomoyo explained, "such as the current player's mana, and its potency is determined by the amount of damage that offensive magic assaults, including defaulting magic and magic commands can inflict. It also decides the effectiveness of healing magic, but I'm forgetting myself. The only way to inflict elemental damage is by offensive magic."

"I feel like we got off topic here," Sohara said, having secretly finished her perverted fantasy of her and Tomoki.

'Tomoki looks so handsome,' Hiyori thought.

.

.

Meanwhile, many of the girls in Sorami cried out, "Why does Tomoki suddenly look like a badass!"

.

.

A very thin young man stood on the left side of the central heart. His ash-brown hair had prominent bangs covering half of his brow. He had a short, mild round nose, some smaller strands reached down his eyebrows. He was clothed in a blue and white, long-sleeved coat with a symbol that looks like black flames on the back of its trousers and sleeves. He was wearing a light blue necktie.

The trousers on his left leg, black boots, black and white storage packs, and the jacket's belt are in him.

.

.

"Huh… He doesn't look too bad, I guess," said Mikako. "If he can help kicking ass, that is."

.

.

For his age, the boy in the middle was slightly short. He was a slim, innocent young man known for a sophisticated, round face. His 'baby face' had a distinctive dark-blue, night sky-like hairstyle, which added to his innocent look. He dressed in a silver-white jacket, with star motif buttons, zipper tags, and tiny pocket detail. Under, he is wearing a black shirt with a wind pattern that looks slightly like an eye.

He wears silver-white and black cropped pants and silver-buckled boots. He was also wearing black gauntlets with silver-white linings and gray circles, wrapped around the blue-haired boy's handles by silver-white buckled sleeves.

.

.

There were no comments about the boy in the middle that weren't spoken before. However, it would seem that the TV was portraying him as the leader or Big Good.

.

.

Sinking deeper as bubbles trailed them, the 'Seven Hearts' stirred awake and managed to right themself before settling onto a dark platform. As the seven chosen looked around, flashing between each other in the same spot before the boy in silver took a step forward. There was a flash of blinding light as a large flock of birds rose from the platform, flying in all directions and scattering feathers everywhere. The boy in silver shielded his eyes as the wind whipped at him. He watched them leave while the last feathers fell.

He whirled around to see a mysterious figure in a black coat who walked in slowly. The mysterious figure stopped and extended his hand, beckoning. Yukinari's eyes widen as he stares into the dark and enigmatic hood of the mysterious figure.

.

.

Chaos spoke up and asked, "I wonder who that person is. The one beckoning Mr. Blue Silver."

"That's what we're calling him?" Hiyori sweat-dropped.

"I think it's interesting, honestly. It fits him," said Sohara.

"Be that as it may, I'm wondering the same thing as Chaos," said Sugata.

He asked no one in particular, "Who is that man to Blue Silver, and what is their relation to one another?" No one noticed Daedalus clenching her hand as she recognized that coat.

.

.

The scene switched to Tomoki who was standing in Synapse's Acropolis before a male angel on a throne. The angel had an athletic build with long, blonde hair that conceals his eyes. He was dressed in a white, sleeveless toga.

.

.

Everyone gave Minos' appearance a well-deserved glared and nothing more.

.

.

Minos summoned the powerful spear - Poseidon - to his right hand, slamming it into the ground. Then threw the spear at the boy, only for it to be deflected by a barrier of light emitted from a glowing pink orb in the red jacket's hand. This action surprised the angel as the red jacket glared at the angel with brown eyes of fury and ghostly Angeloids - Ikaros, Nymph, and Astraea - at his sides. Seemingly crushing the pink orb and merging with it, Tomoki rushed the Minos and delivered a right hook to his face, sending him flying.

.

.

Everyone cheered and clapped for Tomoki's victory over Minos. Nymph said, "That just made my day!" Minos still viewed her as pointless waste at all times. Nymph genuinely wanted Tomoki to be her new master and was keen to get Tomoki to give her orders so that she could serve him like Ikaros. She was very miserable with her first master.

"Dummy, dummy!" Astraea called her former master through the screen. After Minos ordered her too much to kill her friends, Astraea decided enough and told him to shut up as she forcefully broke her chain.

"That's what he gets," said Hiyori with a rare sadistic smile. The newly converted 2nd Generation Angeloid was sent by Minos to kill Tomoki, his fellow human friends, and wipe out Ikaros, Nymph, and Astraea after the death and erasure of human form. Hiyori was freed of the power of the Master of Synapse, enabling her to return to Earth after Nymph hacked into Hiyori's system to circumvent it.

Ikaros simply called out, "My Master… Thank you for that."

.

.

"Wow! That was pretty impressive," said a few male students in town.

.

.

The next scene showed Brunette Blue in the center of a rundown classroom. He was surrounded by five other teens about his age who were pointing and jeering at him. As they slowly vanished into the darkness, a spotlight fell upon the brunette in blue who stared at a cooking knife in his hand.

.

.

The joy Tomoki's friends, and family felt from Tomoki punching Minos immediately died. Their feelings were instantly replaced with dread and horror when they saw a sad Brunette Blue with a knife. Sohara, through her shock, asked, "Wh-What was that?! What was he planning to do with that knife?"

"He didn't appear angry, but sad," said Mikako. "So, if I had to wager a guess, I'd say suicide."

"Sensei, what is suicide?" Astraea asked.

"Suicide is the act of deliberately killing oneself," Daedalus sadly said. "Some suicides due to stress are impulsive acts."

"Or, in this instance, due to harassment and bullying," said Tsutsumi. Everyone allowed this concept to sink in on all the Angeloids.

Chaos looked up at Hiyori. She asked, "Is suicide pain?" Hiyori pet her head.

"Suicide is hate and hate is pain," she said. "Hate and pain are the opposite of love, Chaos. Never forget that."

Chaos looked down to ponder her big sister's words.

.

.

The scene changed again to display the green-haired boy, who looked up in awe as he slowly rose to his feet. He slowly reached out for a very large man with a muscular and well-defined physique, dressed in an American-inspired superhero costume. The massive superhero turned his head slightly as if to look at the green-haired boy reaching out for him. Focusing the green-haired boy one last time, the scene swirls behind as he disappeared and was replaced by the witch running through a grassy plane. A broom was on her shoulder and a smile on her face as she chased after another witch dressed in white who was flying on her broom.

The witch girl reached out to grasp a star that was dropped from the older witch's broom with her right hand.

.

.

Nymph sweat-dropped at the scene with slight confusion. Nymph said, "This… This has a regular theme, doesn't it?" Sugata pushed his glasses up.

"The Ascended Fan is the lucky one-in-a-million with an imaginary hobby that does not remain imaginary — it transforms into life and becomes part of it," he says. "They receive the adventure call for those fortunate few and ask: 'How high?'

"Of course, it's never as straightforward or as glamorous as they thought, but they have the right thing to do it and they have a great deal of Beginner's luck to last them to the end of it."

.

.

The current scene was now focused on the blonde girl with celestial blue eyes who had fallen to her knees in defeat. Standing before her was something that would probably be giving Tomoki's group of friends' nightmares for a while. An undead skeleton dressed in elegant scholar's robes, appearing almost like the Grim Reaper. His eye sockets held a blood-red glow within as the scene zoomed in on his right eye, changing from the skeleton to a shiny yet deathly pale girl with red eyes the color of blood. The silver-haired and pale-skinned girl held the blonde close in a lover's embrace before revealing her vampire nature and biting into the unconscious blonde's neck to taste her.

.

.

Once again, the color drained from the faces of Tomoki's family and friends. However, it was not just from the death of that poor girl. The Angeloids and Angel could feel the Aura from the Reaper figure and vampire. It was… powerful.

"Those two… They seem so powerful," Daedalus said with unease. "More than anything imaginable!"

Sohara and Hiyori shed a tear for the Blonde. Sohara whimpered, "That is… That is a horrible way to die! How could they do such a thing?"

"It's like… how we used to treat humans back in the Synapse," said Nymph in shame. "Looking at them as if they are bugs… when they everything we with power don't have.

"We may have power, but it doesn't give us the right to take away the lives of others because it makes us lower than the humans we ridiculed."

.

.

There was a flash of light at the connection of the bite and the scene was once again changed. The second dark-haired boy, this one with blue eyes the color of sapphire, was on his knees with a sword stabbing the ground to hold him up on a hill. Below him was an army from a fantasy novel, ready for war against a single person. He jumped to his feet and charged the army, leaping into the air, and stabbing the ground as he landed, sending out a wave of damaging energy that made his foe fly back. He pulled the blade from the ground as the scene changed to a different battleground.

As it happened, his sword changed into a new weapon that was rather… peculiar…

.

.

Sugata looked to Tomoyo and asked, "Is that one of those Keyblades you mentioned?" Tomoki's Mother nodded in response.

"That is a Keyblade alright," she answered. "No doubt about it."

"It actually looks just like a key in a way," Astraea pointed out the obvious.

.

.

"What with the big ass key?" The whole town asked themselves.

.

.

It was indeed a mysterious weapon modeled after a pin tumbler lock key. Sapphire Eyes' key was single-edged and black with a series of grooves on the silver side of the key's blade. It was moderately curved like a katana and jutted out and then cut back in just before it connected to the hilt, which was wrapped in black cloth. The guard was asymmetrical, with an opening on the side without the groves. Its pommel and guard were circular and somewhat jagged around its edges.

Half of the guard was black, and the ends were grey. The keychain is made of small, blue, electrum crystals, and the token is a spiked, blue, electrum talisman with a hammer emblem. Sapphire Eyes slashed at two warriors with the same mysterious keys running towards him, causing a blast of dust. Blonde (still alive somehow), Witch Girl, and Greenie ran out of the dust blast and attacked more approaching key warriors. Greenie then blocked with his key as another key warrior attempted to attack him with their key.

The blade, handguard, and tip are like the highly advanced Japanese architecture. The teeth seem to take the form of a prismatic star. The token on the Keychain was the UA emblem from his badge. Witch Girl turned into various animals - starting with a flying elephant before changing into a shark; she then took the form of a phoenix followed by a mouse - before changing into a human again and swinging at a few enemies with her key. Much like the others beforehand except for Sapphire Eyes' key, Witch Girl's seemed to be modeled after lever tumbler lock keys.

The shaft was a beige medium-length staff, with seven crystals that glowed greenish-blue. A golden ornament at the top arced downward from the tip of the blade in the shape of a stylized letter D. Its handle was orange and surrounded by a circular, wooden guard with two leaves near its top. The diamond in its hilt also resembled a four-pointed star; the shape that also appears on the keychain's token, which was inside a blue moon.

.

.

"It would seem that they all have Keyblades," Ikaros noted.

"Hmmm… Perhaps the Keyblade is a part of the heart after all," said Sugata. "That would explain why it would only be used by the one it chooses… But then, that would mean it would have to be a part of him in the first place somehow…"

"Keyblades are especially effective against creatures connected to hearts or the darkness… including the Heartless," said Tomoyo.

Daedalus' blood ran cold as she recognized that name and the monsters that came with it. Everyone else in the Washitsu felt chills for some strange reason as this new term was brought up by Tomoyo. Something about the name 'Heartless' sent a wave of unease through their beings. It was a very unnerved feeling in their hearts. Ikaros looked to the mother of her master and asked, "What is 'Heartless?'"

Tomoyo took a deep breath, so Tsutsumi explained, "The Heartless are dark creatures that are born, ironically, from one's heart. As such, they are manifest hearts in a certain way, just like the Keyblade. They are, however, fully emotion-free and were thus called 'Heartless.' Heartless are created when a heart is overwhelmed by the darkness inside it, or when a Heartless steals a heart. They are born of darkness and act with instinct, so their only aim is to steal more hearts and turn them too Heartless."

Fear was the feeling that took over the room with that description. To think that creatures like that might exist… They sounded like monsters from a fairy tale.

"Okay… That sounds scary. They're kind of like zombies…" Tsukino said.

.

.

Tomoki struck down several key warriors by spinning his key before crouching down. Brunette Blue slid around Tomoki before jumping into the air and slashing down. The Keyblade of the brunette in blue was designed by being reminiscent of cresting waves of flames, both along the shaft and at the teeth. The shaft and teeth appeared to be made of sapphire gemstone, contrasting Tomoki's Keyblade. The Keyblade featured an ivory handle contrasting with a sapphire-blue pommel and guard resembling roaring flames.

The curvature of the guard resembled a harp or lyre. Also, a crescent moon and a star appeared at the top of the shaft within a black circle, surrounded by a cresting wave of blue fire. The keychain's token was a flamed, black talisman with a sapphire gem at its center. The scene zoomed in on Blue Silver who was also on the battlefield with his Keyblade stabbing the ground as his hands rested on the guarded hilt. Various apparitions of people walked past him with gestures of encouragement.

He looked up ahead at a superhero with a bald head and a teddy bear holding a Keyblade.

.

.

"… Was that… a Teddy Bear with a Keyblade?" Astraea asked.

"Holy crap sounds like anything can be possible!" Sohara noted.

.

.

The bald superhero and teddy bear extended their hand, beckoning. Yukinari's eyes widened as they flashed as they changed into the mysterious man. Yukinari fell back, eyes closed, sinking deeper as bubbles trail him down through the darkness and 'Keyblades' drifting around him. He switched between the rest of the Seven Hearts who spun through the water on their descent. Switching back to Yukinari, he opened his eyes and saw a blue platform.

The Keyblades fell before him, and the platform shattered. Yukinari fell through the shards of the platform and light enveloped his body until he became a shooting star. He is followed by six other stars and, all seven stars together, flew into seven other stars.

"It would appear that they have each made it to their first worlds," said Tsutsumi.

"First world, huh? I wonder what kind of worlds they're going to be," said Sugata.

"I just hope Tomo is careful in this new world and he doesn't do anything perverted," said Sohara, unaware of Sorami's entire female population agreeing with her.

"Hey, I wouldn't blame him," said Mikako. "There's got to be interesting people in those worlds."

"Perhaps… Still, I think I recognized the world he went to," said Daedalus.

"You do? Is there anything you can tell us about it, Mother?" Nymph asked. Daedalus looked down as she thought of how to put it.

"Well… You see, that world Tomo has gone to…" the Angel inventor took a breath, "has a peculiar connection to another. It possesses some sort of artificial dimensional gate that can potentially connect between worlds.

"This makes the world unique as it is two worlds in one. Other than that, I don't know much about it."

"Two worlds…" Yoshitsune began.

"… In one?" Tsukino finished for him. Sugata pushed up his glasses to think. A unique world that was actually two worlds?

That sounded incredible and fascinating. Sugata looked at his hands, feeling a bit envious… of Tomoki. Tomoki was currently living Sugata's dream and traveling to new and fascinating worlds. Sugata wished that he, too, had a Keyblade. Meanwhile, Hiyori spoke next while Sugata remained in his thoughts.

"Well, that just got more complicated than it needed to be," said Hiyori, her gear-like wings twitching. Chaos was simply watching the screen, waiting to see what her Onii-chan would do next. Astraea had gone to the kitchen to find snacks to eat. As far as she was concerned, Tomoki may have been a big dummy, but he was also a survivor. Whatever fate had waiting for him, she knew Tomoki would send it flying all away.

Ikaros held her chain close to her reactor as she looked at the screen. She said to the television, "Master… Please be careful out there." Tomoyo and Tsutsumi looked to each other before giving their own wishes of good luck to their son. One that was tradition for all of those who wield the Keyblade…

Astraea finally discovered she had fallen in love with Tomoki as well. Astraea has a good relationship with her senpai sisters.

She said that 1 + 1 = Purple in "Heaven's Lost Property: Forte" (2010).
