A/N
Hello, my readers. It's me, your friendly neighborhood Darkgamer08. I had promised you a rewrite of my first story, and here it is. I changed the title as I thought it was cool. Like it?
Anyways, this story will have mature themes like lemons, language, blood, gore and dark situations. So, people who do not like this stuff, or are underage should probably leave. (Though I know you won't) Hehehe.
Also, important facts regarding this story. It is going to be a dark! Percy fanfic. I always wanted to try it and after getting motivation from a friend, I decided to go for it. So, Percy isn't gonna be the Noble, virtuous and humble hero he is in other fics. He's gonna be insane, maniacal and unforgiving. But not evil.
To those of you who haven't seen it yet, I have created a discord server where we discuss my stories. So, if you want to join in, then the link is:
https/discord.gg/Zke3568Mds
The first two or three chapters are going to be my version of 'The Last Olympian'. It is necessary for the story. But, don't skip it as it is different from Uncle Rick's version. I have portrayed a more badass Percy. And also, Percy isn't gonna be as oblivious to females as he is in Canon! If I might say, he is somewhat of a confident stud in this story. This is a different approach from other fanfics. So, I decided to go for it.
Hope you like the story. If you do, please vote and comment.
This chapter is for all those Percabeth fans out there.
Again, I remind you people. This story isn't gonna be rainbows and unicorns like the original one. So, if you don't read mature themes, don't like bloodshed, character deaths or abusive language, please do not read this. This is mature rated for a reason.
So, let's start without much delay.
The cold wind blew across his face as he gazed at the beautiful night scene ahead of him. He had known since four years ago that his life wouldn't be easy Yet he had hoped that whatever time he spent amongst the living world, he would be able to enjoy it.
But the three old ladies known as the Fates were cruel. They found humour in the suffering of their playthings. They tortured them rigorously till they broke and 'accepted their fate'. The triplets of Ananke and Chronos found amusement in causing chaos and destruction, and Percy was no exception.
Being in his position would have made any hero, even someone as great as Heracles cower and piss their pants. Yet, he stood tall and proud. Without an ounce of fear on his face. He knew that the weight of the whole Olympian army now rested on his shoulders. He had to lead them the next morning.
One might find it comical that a sixteen year old boy, who had just learnt how to shave his facial hair and drive a car properly, was leading an army. Heck, not even a demigod would be trusted to lead the army if he wasn't over twenty years old.
It would be assumed that the boy would surely fail. Afterall, how could a teenager lead an army, and win the war?
But the name of this teenager would make any person swallow his questions and agree to the situation.
Now, the name of this individual was known by almost every being in the mythological world. Some hated him with every fiber of their being, while some admired the teenager.
Yes, this was none other than Perseus Jackson, or as his comrades called him, Dioikitís. Or as translated to English, Commander.
Perseus Jackson, the son of the Earthshaker Poseidon and Sally Jackson, greatest demigod to have ever walked the Earth. Twice the Slayer of the Minotaur. The Slayer of Medusa, the retriever of the Golden fleece. Bane of the Nemean lion, retriever of the Master bolt of Zeus and Hades' helm of darkness. The Slayer of Procrustes, Antaeus, and the three Furies. Also the slayer of Crommyonian Sow.
The only demigod other than Hades' children, who returned alive from the underworld twice.
The defeater of Ares in single bladed combat, the one who brought the Titan Lord Iapetus to his knees. The bearer of the sky, bane of the Titan Lord Hyperion and destroyer of the 'Princess Andromeda'.
Only male to befriend a hunter of Artemis and gain the approval of the man-hating goddess herself. The bearer of the Curse of Achilles. Greatest swordsman ever. Not second to even Theseus.
The list of his achievements was so long that no one other than Athena could keep complete track of it. Even the heroic deeds of Heracles paled in comparison to what Perseus had accomplished. He wasn't known as the greatest demigod to ever live for no reason.
Here he was, gazing at the night sky, taking a moment of rest and peace in the silence and beauty of nature. The serene surroundings, without the annoying sounds of city and suburb, made the night really calm and tranquil.
He gazed at the various constellations in the sky, before his eyes fixated onto a particular one. The constellation which depicted a girl with a bow and arrow, ready to shoot the arrow at anything which endangered her mistress or sisters.
A lone tear made its way down his cheek before he regained control of his emotions and clamped down on them. The memory of his dead friend brought a bout of pain and sadness to his heart. She had been the one who had opened his eyes about the actual nature of the Greek world. Before that, he had believed that the gods were beings that were the nearest to perfection. Beings that needed to be respected and worshipped without doubt.
But she had shown him that the gods weren't without their faults. In fact, they were as imperfect as humans. This had made him see the world in a completely new light and had played an important role in shaping him into the man he was today. He now knew that the gods weren't the perfect beings that history and culture made them out to be. They depended on demigods to fight for them, they frolicked among the mortals without a care for the consequences left behind in their wake and when the time came to realise their mistakes, their wasn't a hint of compassion or remorse..
And now, the fucking idiots had left their children alone to fight the Titans. While the eleven fuckers flew off to fight a storm giant. A stupid storm giant who couldn't defeat Kronos and the other original Titans. Zeus, being the ever idiotic asshole that he was, thought that Typhon was a bigger threat than Kronos.
The worse thing was that the storm giant had managed to knock out half the council. It seemed that without the help of Poseidon and Hades, the Olympians were useless. Only Zeus, Athena and Ares were able to cause significant damage to the storm giant named Typhon, the father of all monsters.
Percy sighed heavily as his mind raced with thoughts. He knew that he had to be the leader and appear fearless in front of his friends and comrades. He had to be the one to face the Titans head on as no one else from his squad could. Maybe Thalia could engage a second generation Titan like Prometheus for a few seconds, but if the battle was led by someone like Kronos, Iapetus, Koios or Perses, it would be up to Percy to defeat them. Kronos had somehow erased the effect that the Lethe had had on the Titan of mortality. And now, Iapetus was hell-bent on ripping Percy to shreds. It was probably a good thing that Atlas was still trapped under his burden, or the war would have been long since over by now. The Titan general was one of the few people he feared.
Till now, Percy had only defeated the Titan Lord Hyperion. And that too had taken all of his power, and much more. It was the only big victory that they had had since the war had started. It had been an almost equal battle, only because they were fighting on water, his home turf. Thinking of that battle, Percy's hand subconsciously went to the bruises on his stomach and chest. The moment it touched the bruised areas, he cringed in pain and barely suppressed a scream of agony. The Titan Lord had been the toughest opponent he had faced till date. He remembered the fight that had occurred just the day before.
Flashback Start :
Percy had just given the orders to his comrades about the battle plan for the day. He had cleverly divided the Apollo campers and Hunters of Artemis into five parts. The other demigods too had been split into five groups. He had allotted the areas to each group and was about to dismiss them. He himself had taken charge of the smallest group. It consisted of him, Annabeth, Grover and some nature spirits and satyrs.
That is when a voice spoke from behind, "How dare you nature spirits go against the word of the council and follow this upstart outcast Grover Underwood?"
All heads turned around to see the fat satyr named Leneus, who was a member of the Council of Cloven Elders. Grover immediately stiffened and started to freak out. The nature spirits behind him also started to shift on their feet and mumble out apologies.
The demigods were getting fed up of the useless fat satyr. But they refrained from acting out in fear of what Dionysus would do.
Percy, on the other hand, had reached his limit. He held up his hand, motioning for the crowd to go quiet. It didn't take even a moment for the chatter to die down. Satisfied, Percy walked towards Leneus. All eyes were on him as he walked towards the old satyr, not once breaking eye contact. His eyes had turned into a shade of violent green, like a thunderstorm about the strike and utterly wreck havoc on someone.
As he reached the satyr, a feral snarl escaped his lips and the next moment, he grabbed the satyr by his neck and lifted him into the air.
Gasps and mutters of shock and awe were heard around the area as they saw the actions of their leader. Many girls let out sighs of pleasure and desire when they saw the perfectly chiselled muscles straining as he lifted the satyr up.
Percy tilted his head sideways, observing the satyr like he was a tool that he was going to enjoy breaking. In an uncharacteristically cold and firm voice, he spoke, "Listen well satyr. I am really not in the mood for your stupid-ass politics and ego, understood? I have had a rough few days now and just come to understand that the fate of the whole world rests on my shoulders. And believe me, that is not fun. Also, I have found out that one of our own is betraying us by spying for Kronos. As you may have guessed, I am in no mood for this shit."
He paused and glared at Leneus so hard that the satyr wet his pants. Yet, no one laughed as they were equally afraid of Percy in this state. He was always the funny, easy-going dude that never got angry. Seeing him on this brink of insanity scared the demigods out of their souls. Even the hunters of Artemis were taken aback by this show of rage.
Thalia Grace, the lieutenant of the hunt remembered the times that she had fought Percy. He had never gotten so angry at her. She let out a sigh of relief and swore to never anger Percy again.
There was only one person who was not affected by Percy's behavior. It was his best friend and long time crush, Annabeth Chase. The daughter of Athena had seen this rage when Percy had first battled Ares. She had never really feared him, as she knew he would rather kill himself than hurt her. She bit her lip in lust at the show of power and rage from him and the muscles that bulged from his arm made her feel extremely hot under the collar.
"Answer this question, satyr. If Kronos defeats us, will he really spare you? Wait. Let me answer that for you. No. , He will not. He will use you as toys. Hunting you down and using you for his personal entertainment." Percy released his grip on the satyr's neck and Leneus fell to the ground, landing on his butt while rubbing the bruises on his neck.
Leneus immediately scooted away from Percy with absolute terror in his eyes. He was shaking with fear. The satyr took deep breaths to calm himself. Percy took this as a sign to continue. "Now I believe that we are on the same page. Time for all good satyrs to listen to me. Otherwise, Kronos will be the least of your worries." Percy spoke icily, before turning his attention to the other satyrs behind Leneus.
The woodland beings cowered under the terrifying gaze of the son of the Earthshaker. They nodded and scrambled to join Grover and the other nature spirits. Leneus, Silenus and Maron were the last to join as they silently made their way to the son of the sea god. Too afraid of angering him even more, they didn't even make eye-contact before joining Grover.
Satisfied with himself, Percy turned back to his comrades and closed his eyes. He took a few deep breaths to calm himself. His comrades were already scared enough. No need to scare them more.
After successfully calming himself, he opened his eyes and gave his comrades a once-over. "Demigods and nature spirits, lend me your ears for a moment." He spoke loudly, demanding attention.
"I know what we are attempting is clearly impossible. I also know that we have barely a man-force of a hundred, whereas the enemy has about two thousand soldiers and five Titans. A force that can make even our parents cower."
He sensed the nervousness and fear oozing from his comrades. He hated himself for putting them in this situation. But he had no option.
"I know you believe that Fate is against us today. Don't you?" He asked the demigods, who nodded slowly. He nodded solemnly, before taking another deep breath.
"To hell with Fate. I don't care what the three old ladies want. I don't care why they want what they want. The reason is that I don't believe that anyone else controls my life. My life is mine to live and my actions are all mine. I don't believe in Fate." He shouted out loudly, startling the crowd.
"So what if the Titan Lord has four other Titans supporting him? So what if he has a force of two thousand? That doesn't deter me. All that does is anger me even more. He thinks that he can take my city as easily as stealing an ice-cream from a child. But I am going to prove that asshole wrong. I am willing to fight till I can breathe no more. I am willing to fight till my head separates from my body. Till all blood escapes my body. I am willing to sacrifice myself to save my city and humanity if I must. Now whether I have to fight his whole army or all five Titans together, I am ready. Those who don't stand with me can leave right now. I do not care what you fight for as long as you kill those fucking bastards. But let me tell you, I fight for my family. For my father, mother and friends. SO, ARE YOU WITH ME?" He bellowed out to his comrades.
The response he got was something that even Zeus would die for. His comrades had a bright fire of hope burning in their eyes. Their heads were high and facing him with confidence. With a mighty roar that could as well be heard from miles
away, the army of Olympus roared, "Aye, Commander."
Percy nodded and placed his hands behind his back and interlocked them. "Immortality." He uttered a single word in a quiet voice. But it was enough to quieten the roaring crowd. Ninety-nine pairs of eyes stared at him with rapt attention.
"When do you become truly immortal?" He asked the crowd. No one answered, knowing that the question was supposed to be rhetorical.
"Is it when you leave your mortality behind and ascend to the status of godhood? To the league of immortals?" He asked them again. Some of them nodded, while the others remained quiet, listening attentively.
Shaking his head, he spoke, "No. Immortality is completely different. When your name is remembered even long after your death, then you are immortal. If people try to live their lives like you did, then you are immortal. If even in death, you brighten the lives of many, then you are immortal. If you live in the hearts of people, then you are immortal." He spoke in a calm voice filled with confidence and empathy.
The demigods' eyes widened in understanding.
Percy continued, "So, today I give you an opportunity to gain this immortality. Let us be remembered as the hundred legends who faced the evil Titan and his army without backing down. Let it be remembered that not one of us gave up. Each one of us kept fighting even when we were severely outnumbered or outclassed. You are the best demigods of the millennium. Follow me to victory."
Suddenly, an arrow came from nowhere and struck Percy in the shoulder. Instead of piercing him, it just bounced off his skin. The curse of Achilles had saved him. All eyes turned to the rooftop of a building where a dracaena stood with a bow. Thalia immediately shot her in the head with her arrow, causing the monster to dissolve in golden dust.
Percy scowled at the place where the dracaena had been before speaking again. "Kronos thinks that he can take my city. I plan to show him how wrong he is. I plan to rip the head off of any monster or Titan that thinks he can invade my city and get away with it. Now, whether you follow me or not, I plan on following my word. SO, WHO IS WITH ME?" He screamed. He was met with a chorus of 'me'.
Smirking confidently, he uncapped Riptide and raised it high in the air. "PREPARE FOR GLORY. HAIL OLYMPUS." He shouted. His comrades repeated his chants as loudly as they could.
Percy closed his eyes and recalled the image of his mother in front of his eyes. She was one of the only two reasons keeping him sane as of now. He recalled the proud smile that Sally gave him whenever he did something good for others. Now, he was going to fight for the entire mankind.
"Bless me, mother." He mumbled softly to himself before opening his eyes and hardening them.
"Come on friends. To your positions." He spoke coolly. His comrades nodded and started moving to their assigned places.
Percy pressed the hilt of riptide to his forehead and muttered a prayer to Poseidon. He saw the view of a calm ocean.
He opened his eyes again when he felt a hand press his shoulder softly. Turning to see who it was, he was met with the sight of the most beautiful grey orbs he had ever seen.
Annabeth stood beside him, smiling proudly at him. Percy took a moment to study the unbelievably beautiful woman in front of him. He had always found Annabeth cute, but now, she looked seriously beautiful. Her golden-blonde hair, that usually flowed down her face in princess curls, was now tied up in a ponytail. Not that it made her any less attractive.
Her grey eyes were filled with wisdom and liveliness, they were so beautiful that Percy could keep looking into them for hours without getting bored. Her cute button nose complimented her golden skin. His eyes fixated onto her soft, pink lips. They looked so kissable that it took all his willpower to stop himself from pulling her closer and ravishing her lips with his.
She wore a black t-shirt that did nothing to hide her heavenly curves that could make even a daughter of Aphrodite jealous. His eyes travelled southwards to her slim stomach and wide, child-bearing hips. Her legs, that seemed to go on forever, were covered in black camouflage pants. She wore combat boots underneath.
Smirking slightly, he spoke, "Only you can manage to look stunning while fighting, Wise girl."
Annabeth blushed a bright red before retorting, "Don't get distracted too much, Seaweed brain. We have a battle to fight." She leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek. "Best of luck, Percy. Return back alive, or I will somehow resurrect you and kill you again, get it?" She asked him.
Percy gave her a mock salute. "Sir, yes sir!" He spoke seriously before smiling again. "Also, you never gave me that kiss for good luck yesterday." He pouted cutely to her while giving her the most innocent pair of baby seal eyes he could.
Annabeth tried to avoid meeting his eyes. Her face was already burning red and her heart was pumping wildly as she thought, 'He wants to kiss me.'
But before she could react, Grover ran up to them and started speaking frantically. "Percy, Annabeth we need you guys urgently. The army is a lot larger than we estimated. Seems like Kronos wants you dead as soon as possible. Come on."
Percy turned to Annabeth and nodded. He immediately took on his Commander persona. A stoic mask rested on his face as he casually slipped on his armor. Giving Riptide a few test swings, he jogged behind Annabeth and Grover to the location.
As soon as they reached there, the first words that came out of Annabeth's mouth were, "Holy Zeus. That has to be at least five hundred fucking monsters."
Percy remained quiet, surveying the enemy army thoroughly. He saw that though the number of enemies was very high, the army consisted of normal monsters like hellhounds, cyclopes, dracaena and Giants.
Thankfully, he couldn't see any Titan there. Nor any dangerous legendary monster like the Chimera or Manticore.
Turning to Grover, he spoke, "Help the nature spirits defend the block. Do not, I repeat do not let a single enemy pass through. Okay?"
Grover nodded and ran off to the nature spirits. Percy then turned to Annabeth. "Wise girl, I need you to call some backup. Preferably some Apollo campers or Hunters of Artemis. And make it quick, alright?" He asked her.
Annabeth immediately shook her head no. "Not at all. I am not going to leave you alone. If we fight them, we fight them together, okay?" She spoke seriously.
Percy grabbed her shoulders and pulled her in a hug. "Beth. We don't have time. Also, I am mostly invulnerable. You are not. I almost lost you once yesterday. I won't risk losing you again. I can't lose you Annabeth. I... I can't." He spoke miserably.
Annabeth's eyes moistened when she heard the genuine fear in his voice. Despite the stoic attitude he maintained, Annabeth could easily read her Seaweed brain. She also felt her heart beat increase at the close proximity to him. At first, she had been naive enough to think that Luke was the right guy for her. But when he had betrayed her and Thalia, she had understood that he wasn't the perfect person she thought he was.
The only one who supported her at that time was Percy. Even Thalia had chosen the hunt over her. But only Percy had ever chosen her over everything else. She had always had a crush on him. But when she saw the concern in his eyes the previous night when she had been stabbed, she had come to realize that she loved him. That she would do anything to be with him.
Percy pulled back and gave her a meaningful look. She understood him. Without any other words, she turned back and started to sprint towards where the Hunters of Artemis were currently present. She needed to get Thalia and her hunter sisters as fast as she could. She trusted her Seaweed brain, but five hundred monsters was something that not even a god in his right mind would take on. But her Seaweed brain was known for his reckless attitude.
Meanwhile, Percy had surveyed the scenery completely. He knew that he had an advantage because they were fighting near a river.
Turning to Grover, he spoke, "Hey Grover. Assemble your fellow spirits and create as many defenses as you can okay?"
Grover nodded before asking, "Ok. And what about you? What are you planning to do?" The suspicion and worry in his words was sensed by the son of Poseidon.
Percy's lips curled into a feral smile as he turned his attention back to the enemy army. Reaching up, he slowly pulled the visor of his helmet to cover his face. He slowly held out Riptide and got into a stance suitable for running. "Oh. Just the thing I am best at." He said calmly, before taking off towards the enemy army, leaving behind an utterly shocked satyr.
Percy reached the army within no time. Without wasting a moment, he started hacking and slashing at every opponent. To others, it may have seemed like a madman hacking and slashing wildly. But any experienced swordsman would be able to see the deadly precision and accuracy behind his strikes. Each strike was sent with the perfect amount of strength and precision. He didn't waste even one ounce of extra power.
The army's frontline was being demolished like a wrecking ball destroys a building. Just when Percy started feeling that he was being pushed to his limits, he immediately pressed the small button on the watch that he wore on his left wrist.
To the utter shock and terror of the monsters fighting him, the watch made a few clinking noises before it expanded to a shield that was of Greek design. The monsters who had the terrible luck of being in extremely close proximity to the shield, were killed immediately when the sharp ends of the shield sliced them while expanding.
Percy felt another rush of adrenaline run through his viens as he saw the monsters gain a terrified look in their eyes when they saw just who they were dealing with. The shield, which made for him by Tyson, depicted the events of the quests that he had been on in the previous four years.
He smiled a smile that would make Satan himself shiver in his boots. Deciding to increase the terror, he reached up and ripped the visor off his helmet.
Now that it became clear who the monsters were dealing with, they started to stumble upon each other in an attempt to get away. Not a single one of them hadn't heard of the terrifying son of Poseidon. They might be mindless beasts, but it was common sense even among monsters to run away when they saw the most powerful demigod ever.
Percy's smile turned into a full blown grin of sick giddiness as he sniffed the air near him dramatically. Ahh. The fear of his enemies was intoxicating. Addictive, even. As he sheathed his blade and retracted his shield, he heard a dracaena from the army bellow, "Stand your ground and fight, idiots. If he finds out that we ran away, he will skin us alive. And you all know, he is way worse than this demigod."
Apparently, the person they were speaking of was even more scary than Percy was, because the monsters immediately stopped their attempts to escape and slowly, reluctantly turned back to face Percy.
Percy grin widened dramatically and it slowly turned to a snarl as he charged the monsters again. Not one of them was going to escape him, he would make sure of that. These were the vile beasts that had killed his friends. The vile beasts who had killed innumerable innocent humans and would do so again in the future.
Even though Percy had mostly lost his conscience of morality and immorality during his life as a demigod, he knew that if he spared any of these monsters now, he would hold himself guilty whenever he saw a monster killing a human or demigod in the future. And he blamed himself enough without adding this.
Also, returning something missing to where it belongs was good manners. His mom had told him so. He was only following her advice. He was returning this garbage to where it belonged- Tartarus.
Percy felt nothing as he cut through the army of monsters. Not happiness, not disgust, nor satisfaction. He felt absolutely nothing. While this would have scared the old, goody goody Percy Jackson, this was not him now.
The quests, fighting and responsibility had changed him. Made him what he was. And he wouldn't admit it to anyone, not even himself, but it had broken him. He was now nothing like the old Percy. This man was nothing but a machine. A killing machine. Heck, he would have gone insane long ago had it not been for Annabeth and his mom.
'No time to think about this now.' His shattered mind told him as he concentrated his attention back on annihilating the beasts in front of him. But this one moment that he had given to self-reflecting, had distracted him long enough to not notice the club that was heading towards his head in a vertical swing with enough force to make an elephant fall.
In utter desperation, he put his hand up to catch the brunt of the hit. The club hit his vambraces hard and sent him crashing through the monsters. He toppled several dracaena before finally falling to the ground. Unbearable amount of pain filled his left hand as he cursed himself for retracting his shield a while ago. Then he cursed his mind for distracting him.
Slowly, he got to his knees and arms, coughing out a small amount of blood. Ever so slowly, he stood up and spat another spitful of blood. Sharply turning to the monster who hit him he spoke, "Fucking hell, that actually hurt."
Then he did the last thing that anyone could imagine. He grinned madly, showing his teeth painted red with blood. Raising his sword with his left hand, he cut off the shafts of the arrows that had notched themselves in his armor. "I fucking like it." He spoke giddily while licking his blood coated lips.
Immediately, faster than anyone could comprehend, he threw something with his right hand. A sharp gasp was heard from between the monster crowd. All eyes turned to the cyclops who had clubbed Percy. He stood there with his hands stiff and eyes wide. His lips were parted slightly as another choked gasp escaped his mouth. His hands reached up and clutched the handle of the dagger that was sticking out of his throat. The tip of the dagger had pierced the skin of the back of his neck and was peeking out.
Before the cyclops could even understand that his throat had been pierced by a dagger, he fell to the ground, dead. He turned to golden dust in front of his comrades. The monsters near him gulped and stared at the pile of dust.
The sound of maniacal and sinister laughter drew their attention to Percy Jackson, who had brought his hand down to his side. He held riptide in his right hand while he laughed like a madman. "I always wanted to do that. Oh. That was so much fun." Percy spoke childishly. One would have thought that he was speaking about a rollercoaster or some other amusement park ride.
The next moment, he was running back towards the monsters. He jumped over hellhounds, while stabbing them in their heads with Riptide. The beasts disintegrated immediately, freeing his sword for further attacks. Now, he was standing right in the centre of the army of monsters. He was completely surrounded by them. The small, rational part of his mind that was still sane, that had survived, was begging him to get out of there. But the shattered, broken part was laughing giddily at the prospect of killing all these monsters.
His moment was ruined as it suddenly started to rain arrows. He immediately turned, so that the arrows wouldn't strike him in the back, in his mortal point. He spread his arms and closed his eyes. Raising his head, he felt the rush of unfelt excitement, knowing that the arrows won't kill him. Monsters were killed here and there, screaming in pain as they were struck by the arrows.
Finally, after a minute, the arrows stopped. Percy opened his eyes to see the hunters of Artemis standing near Grover and Annabeth. His cousin Thalia and her sisters had their bows in their hands as they stared at him in a mixture of awe and horror. He knew that he was the only male that the Hunters of Artemis didn't hate, because he had saved their leader and befriended their previous lieutenant. But tolerating him didn't mean that they liked him. And he was perfectly fine with it. As if he needed the affection of partially immortal man-hating bitches. Amongst the hunters, he only cared about Thalia.
Annabeth had just arrived with Thalia when she saw that half the monster army was missing and the other half was engaged in a battle. Beside her, Thalia asked, "How many demigods are currently battling that army?"
Annabeth turned to the hunters and held a single finger up. The eyes of the hunters widened dramatically as they turned back to where the battle was raging. Phoebe, a daughter of Ares, who hated males as much as her mistress did, scoffed. "Impossible. No demigod can defeat two hundred monsters at a time and survive. It has to be at least fifty demigods."
Instead of answering, Annabeth fixed her eyes on the battle. Her heart was beating extremely fast due to the worry and fear that coursed through her being. Her Percy was fighting alone over there. What if some monster got a lucky stroke to his back? Or worse, what if he gets captured?
'No. He is Percy fucking Jackson. Not even Ares can suppress him, let alone five hundred monsters. He'll survive. He always does.'
Her eyes widened in shock when she saw Percy being flung after getting clubbed by a cyclops.
Beside her, Atalanta the huntress spoke, "No one can possibly survive that. Surely, he is dead. Stupid male pig."
Thalia shook her head. "No. He isn't dead. He can't be. He is Perseus fucking Jackson. It'll take a lot more than that to take him down." Her sisters turned to her with shocked and confused faces.
Thalia was proved right when Percy stood up slowly and started laughing maniacally. The hunters were now genuinely confused at the reaction of the boy. Phoebe asked, "Did he get hit on the head? Why is he laughing stupidly?"
All colour drained from Thalia's face as she whispered, "No. But the monsters are completely screwed."
Phoebe turned to her lieutenant and asked, "Whatever are you speaking, Thalia? He just got battered away like a doll." The rest of the hunters nodded their agreements.
Thalia shook her head. "No. The same happened last year when Iapetus, the Titan of Mortality slashed at Percy's shoulder. He thought that Percy was defeated. But, Percy rose up and started to laugh the same way he is laughing now. He.. he attacked Iapetus and gave him an even fight. Think about it, sister. He gave one of the twelve original Titans an equal fight. The monsters are completely screwed now."
Even Annabeth's eyes widened in shock at Thalia's information. Percy had never told her the details of how he had managed to subdue Iapetus. He had always said that it was a team effort of him, Thalia and Nico.
Confirming Thalia's point again, Percy threw a dagger towards the cyclops at a speed that Annabeth couldn't believe was possible to achieve by the dagger.
As the cyclops fell dead, Percy ran into the middle of the monster army. At this moment, Thalia ordered, "Sisters, on your marks. Shoot at the enemy. Kelp head won't get hit because of his invulnerability. Come on, let's show these monsters the might of the Hunters of Artemis. For Artemis." She commanded. Her sisters shouted back with "For Artemis" and fired arrows towards the monsters.
After a few moments, the firing stopped. As they gazed towards the scene, they saw a lone figure standing. He stood with his arms raised at shoulder level to both sides. His head was turned upwards, with his eyes closed. He looked like the statue of 'Christ the Redeemer', but with his head turned towards the sky and his eyes closed.
His armor had about ten arrows sticking from it. Yet, none had harmed him due to his invulnerability. He truly looked like a warrior. What with the 6'2 height and amazingly toned body that would make even a straight man question his sexuality.
Percy lowered his hands and started to walk towards the hunters. As he neared them, he stopped all of a sudden. Turning back sharply, he marched back to the battlefield. There, he bent down and grabbed a half-dead dracaena by the throat. He lifted her up high into the air.
Scrutinizing her, he spoke, "Tell me, who is the 'he' that you were talking about?"
The snake lady was utterly terrified of him and tried to get away from his chokehold. But her struggles were in vain as he just tightened his grip.
"Now you see, I like snakes. I really do. So, you tell me who it was, and I let you go alive. I promise."
He paused for a moment before speaking again. "Believe me darling, I speak the truth. I will keep my word."
The dracaena contemplated his offer for a moment before squeaking out, "Hyperion, Titan of the East. He was leading us."
Percy nodded before giving her a dazzling smile. He lowered her gently to the ground. The dracaena gazed at him in shock before turning around and starting to dash off. Suddenly, a sword stabbed her in the back as she screamed in pain. Turning back, she saw that it was Percy. "B..but you promised."
Percy rolled his eyes. "Who do you think I am, Gandhi? Of course I was gonna kill you, honey. Say hi to your friends when you reach down there. Hasta la Vista, señorita." He spoke sarcastically as she turned to dust.
As he walked over to Annabeth, Thalia and the hunters, Annabeth walked forward and hugged him tightly. All the malice and anger left his mind as he hugged her back. She was really the one who could keep him grounded.
"That was awesome, Seaweed brain. You were awesome. Though, what did you ask the dracaena before you killed her?" She asked Percy curiously.
Percy smiled softly as he saw her grey eyes get the glint they got when she was curious and interested. But his smile faltered when he remembered what the dracaena had told him just before.
Sighing loudly, he spoke, "I asked her who was leading them, because I didn't see any legendary monster in the army. And I know that dracaena aren't actually leaders. She told me who it was. And I killed her." He spoke quietly.
Thalia nodded understandingly. "And, who is it?" She asked him.
Percy uttered a single name. "Hyperion." This caused Annabeth to gasp loudly.
"Hyperion, Titan of the East. Lord of light. He was the third greatest Titan fighter after Atlas and Kronos. If he is leading this army, we need all the backup we can get."
Percy felt a huge amount of fear creep into him. He had barely been able to defeat Iapetus last year. And that was when he was in perfect condition. How was he supposed to fight a Titan as strong as Hyperion? Hopefully, he wouldn't make an appearance today, Percy thought.
As if Tyche was really mad at him, he felt the power signal of a very powerful being approaching them at a fast pace. Turning back to the area where the golden dust of the monsters lay, he could see a bright golden light make its way towards them. It stopped when it was at the other side of the river.
Percy turned to Thalia. "You got some ambrosia on you, pinecone face?" He asked her. She nodded and handed him a small square of the food of the gods.
Percy popped the square in his mouth and immediately sighed in comfort. He felt his tiredness go away and his energy return to him. He felt the small amount of internal bleeding inside his body stop. Nodding his thanks to Thalia, he moved forward towards the river. Once he reached the river bank, the golden orb stopped glowing and revealed the form of an eight foot tall man.
Percy raised an eyebrow at the man. The man wore pure golden armor that shined so brightly that Percy swore it could blind a normal human. His helmet covered his face, but Percy could make out a pair of golden eyes. The eyes of the man burned with a harsh light. It was like Ares' eyes, but a lot worse. These eyes held pure malicious intent and promised pain. The worst part was that they also held confidence that they could deliver the pain they promised. Percy let out an audible gulp as the man's eyes bore into him.
He recognized the feeling from somewhere. Right, it was the same feeling that he had when he locked eyes with Kronos and Iapetus. The strength of the original Titans trying to invade and shatter his mind. To crush his soul. To break him.
Percy grinned savagely as he stared back at the Titan of Light. His intimidation had zero effect on Percy. The reason, Percy's mind wasn't exactly sane. And he was definitely a broken man. But his soul. Oh it would take much more than a stupid Titan dressed in gold to crush his soul.
He could see the Titan's eyes widen seeing his grin. His grin widened when the Titan's lips curled into a cruel snarl. Hyperion slowly reached up and took off his helmet, revealing his long golden hair that was tied back into an aristocratic ponytail.
"Jackson, I presume." Hyperion spoke solemnly. Something which was totally out of character for a Titan. Percy had expected the son of Gaia and Ouranos to start boasting about himself or taunting Percy immediately.
Percy nodded his head, choosing to not give a verbal reply. Hyperion nodded back before extending his sword. It was massive, standing at six feet. It was a two handed sword, which Hyperion swung with a single hand easily.
In contrast, Percy held Riptide and Tyson's shield. Riptide was a majestic xiphos that could give other weapons look like play toys. But it had a disadvantage of size. It was three feet long, which was half the size of Hyperion's sword.
"Hmm. I can see why those puny monsters are afraid of you, son of Poseidon. Yet, I find it hard to believe that you are capable of defeating a son of Gaia and Ouranos." Hyperion spoke seriously, yet in a calm voice.
Seeing that Percy was still not giving a verbal reply, the Lord of Light continued speaking, "Well, Iapetus was always the weak idiot like Krios, Koios and Oceanus. Only my youngest brother ever had the brains and balls to do something. So, it's not that big a surprise that you managed to defeat my idiotic younger twin. His son, on the other hand, is a true warrior. Won't you agree? Afterall, you did see him beat up your goddess and kill his own daughter without remorse." The last part was meant to be a taunt to Percy. Hyperion's lips curled into an evil smile when he saw that his words had the intended effect on the son of the sea god.
Percy tried to keep his cool. He tried as hard as he could to not let Hyperion's words affect him. But the stupidly insane part of his brain, which unfortunately was most of it, protested and urged him to kill the Titan. To cut his tongue off for speaking about Zoë like this. Percy gritted his teeth and shut his eyes tightly. No, he would not succumb to this asshole's words. This was just another trick of those Titans. Taunting him with low blows to anger him and make him attack them.
"I won't fall for your tricks, Titan. I know you can't attack us without being challenged first. So, I suggest you return to your little brother and lick his feet like the faithful dog that you are." Percy spoke through gritted teeth, with barely hidden anger and disgust.
Hyperion's eyes turned to miniature flaming Suns as he started to radiate bright light. "You do not speak to me that way, measly demigod. Do not test my patience, lest you incur the wrath of the Lord of light. Go back to your little girlfriend and enjoy your time with her. I promise you. After I kill you, I will make her mine. Along with that cousin of yours." The Titan of the East snarled viscously as he stabbed his sword in the ground. A tremor passed through the ground that made everybody but Percy and Hyperion stumble. Percy had managed to use his earthshaker powers to maintain his balance.
"You shouldn't have brought her in, Titan. You can taunt me, insult me, even torture me as much as you want. But the moment you bring her into this, you book a one way ticket to Tartarus. And believe me, I will be extremely pleased to do the honours of sending you off." Percy sneered with as much venom and malice he could.
"Let's see then, son of Poseidon. Come and show me that you really are the terrifying warrior that people say you are. I haven't killed any demigod in this war yet. You will be the first. Come and fight me, Jackson." Hyperion's voice boomed loudly and could be heard throughout the battlefield.
Percy could hear his friends shout at him, asking him to not do anything reckless. Shouting at him to return. But Percy's mind had made the decision. He needed to set an example so that no one ever tried to even look at his friends the wrong way. He needed to slay this Titan. And slay him brutally. He pledged to himself that he wouldn't stop until the Titan bled out.
Snarling, Percy used his powers to create a spear out of ice and launched it at the Lord of light. Hyperion smirked widely as he batted away the spear. Percy had attacked him. Now he was free to retaliate with all of his strength, without any repercussions.
Hyperion was the first to make a move as he raised his sword and started to run towards Percy. His feet floated just above the water, not touching it in the slightest. He looked like an angel, what with the bright glow around him.
'Yeah buddy, two can play that game.' Percy thought as he copied the Titan's actions and ran back at him. His feet fell on the water as he charged Hyperion head on. Percy could hear the screams and gasps of shock from his friends as they saw what he was doing.
As they reached the center of the river, their swords met in a loud 'clang'. Just like in those anime, a shockwave was created by the force of the two swords clanging against each other. Hyperion was pushed back about two steps, while Percy was blown back with the sheer power behind the Titan's strike. Hyperion grinned smugly as he saw Percy getting up from the water.
"You think you can match a Titan, boy? We are imperial beings. Children of two primordials. How can a half-human weakling like you even hope to overpower us?" Hyperion asked Percy mockingly.
Percy's mind was now going completely haywire as he gauged the situation he was in. He knew that there was no chance in hell that he could overpower Hyperion. The Titan could literally toss him around like a rag doll. His only hope was to land a few hits and dodge each strike headed his way.
Hyperion again rushed to Percy and tried to hit him in the side. Percy, who had already sensed and predicted the move, leaned backwards, causing the sword to pass from right in front of his face. Taking advantage of Hyperion's surprise, Percy slashed his armour plate with Riptide. The damage wasn't much, but it was significant. The armor plate had been almost cut apart from the force of the blow.
Hyperion took a step back and steadied himself. He raised his head to meet Percy's eyes and grinned wickedly. Suddenly, his body was covered in blinding light, causing everyone near him to avert their eyes. Even Percy wasn't spared by it. Moreover, Hyperion also covered his armour in a sheath of golden flames of fire. Percy had never felt so much heat before. Even lava paled in comparison to this heat that was radiating from the Titan's body.
Taking advantage of Percy's disoriented state, Hyperion surged forward and tried to stab Percy in the stomach with as much force as he could muster up. But the sword wasn't able to penetrate the skin of the raven haired demigod.
That did not mean that Percy didn't feel the pain from the blow. In fact, he had never felt such pain in his entire lifetime. Even holding the sky felt like a better option than enduring this kind of pain. Percy felt like his insides had turned to jelly, just like when he was bathing in the Styx.
Now, Percy wasn't a stranger to pain, but this was simply too much. Frustrated that he couldn't stab the demigod, Hyperion roared and Spartan kicked Percy, sending him flying towards the land.
Percy crashed against a building and fell to the ground. His body remained limp as he struggled to breath. Fortunately, his skin had taken most of the damage, meaning that none of his organs were damaged. Maybe a Little internal bleeding, but nothing else, really.
Groaning in pain, Percy rose to his feet. Turning his head to the side, he coughed out a huge amount of blood. Hyperion was smirking confidently as he saw the effect that a single strike and kick of his had on Percy.
Percy finally regained his bearings and stared straight ahead at the stupid eight foot tall Titan emitting light. He knew that he would have to find some way to neutralize his light. His mind screamed at him to shut the fucking light off. To plunge everything in darkness. He suppressed that idiotic part of his mind and started to think of ways to counter the Titan's light and fire.
Then the answer struck him. It was so obvious that he didn't know whether to be ashamed that he didn't think of it earlier, or to laugh at himself. He started to move forwards. As soon as he got onto the river, he used his powers to their full extent. Winds started to pick pace around him and he felt himself rise up.
Looking down, he saw that he was now standing in the eye of his personal hurricane. He grinned giddily at this and turned to Hyperion. The Titan was shocked to say the least, his eyes wide and the light around him flickering momentarily.
Finally, Hyperion got ahold of himself and he raised his sword and leaped at Percy. Percy immediately willed the water to splash at Hyperion's body. The light emitting from the Titan dimmed down and the fire turned into but small embers.
The two duelists locked swords and performed complex maneuvers and what not. Though Percy was nowhere near Hyperion in terms of raw strength, his skills with the sword surprisingly outclassed Hyperion's. Given the fact that Hyperion was rusty due to spending so many millennia in Tartarus, Percy was bound to be faster and more skilled.
Slash. Stab. Block. Parry. Dodge. Kick. Slash.
It went on for ten whole minutes. Hyperion was continuously trying to reignite and energize his fire, but the water from Percy's hurricane made it nigh impossible for the Titan Lord to do so. Percy could sense that Hyperion was getting frustrated by his failure at overpowering 'a measly demigod'.
It was just a matter of time before the Titan's rage and frustration overtook his thinking process and made him do something stupid. Something that Percy could capitalize on. Percy kept up the defensive game, not letting a single strike slip past his guard and hit him. He was keeping his movements short, but accurate. Not wasting much energy, instead saving it for later. He knew that the Titan had superior stamina and endurance, but not unlimited. And Hyperion's breathing rate had quickened with the passage of time. His strikes weren't as powerful as before. But he was far from done. He could still kill Percy if the demigod let his guard down.
After another five minutes of this, Hyperion finally made a mistake. A decoy from Percy, where the demigod had purposely left an opening in his guard, worked in trapping the Titan Lord of Light.
Hyperion tried to stab Percy in the opening that he saw. He realized his mistake too late.
Quick as lightning, Percy brought riptide down with as much force as he could. A huge amount of pain flooded Hyperion's senses as he looked down. His wrist had been cleanly cut off by Riptide.
The blade had cut through the Titan skin and bone like a knife through butter. Golden ichor started to spew everywhere. Hyperion's sword clattered to the ground along with his amputated wrist.
The Titan Lord's eyes blurred slightly as the pain registered him. This was the first time he had been hurt in five millennia. And it hurt like a son of a bitch. "Aaahhhhhhh" He roared out at the top of his lungs.
He stumbled back while clutching his heavily bleeding stump with his other hand. His eyes held immense amount of pain and anguish. This soon turned to anger and hatred when he heard the sound of maniacal laughter.
Looking up, he saw a sight that would haunt him for eternity. Perseus Jackson stood in front of him, with ichor covering his upper body. His face was completely covered in blood. The demigod had a sinister look in his eyes. A look that Hyperion knew very well. For it was the look that his youngest brother had in his eyes. The look of insanity. Of a madman.
Perseus had lost all traces of sanity now. His tongue slowly darted out of his mouth and licked the ichor around it. He let out a deep chuckle that sent shivers down Hyperion's spine.
But this fear turned into hatred and anger as the Titan Lord of light let go of his amputated limb. He summoned all of his Titanic power and gathered it into a ball of energy. It was burning so brightly that everyone other than Percy had to shut their eyes and turn around. Some hunters even got heat burns on their skins.
Hyperion grinned madly as he spoke venomously,
"I was an idiot to have underestimated you, son of Poseidon. And I paid a heavy price for it. But now that I know what you are capable of, I can't leave you alive, Jackson. You should be honored. I have never used all my power even during the first titanomachy. You shall be the first to face it.
Be prepared, Perseus Jackson, for it is going to get really hot now."
Hyperion closed his eyes and then snapped them open immediately. The ball of energy glowed extremely bright for a moment before it exploded in the Titan's hand.
The exploded ball started to give out light. The rays and beams travelled in all directions around them. Percy felt a strain on his lungs and realized that he was not able to breathe. Seeing around him, he saw small pops of fire burning for a few seconds before dying out. The pressure on his lungs went on increasing as he tried to get in some air.
He turned to the Titan Lord with an expression of shock and fear, to which Hyperion just laughed evilly.
"You see, however strong you are, you need air to breathe. You can't live without oxygen, right? But what if I take away that oxygen from you?" Hyperion asked mockingly.
Percy couldn't answer as he was busy gasping for air.
"Now you see, I used my flames to ignite the oxygen all around you, Jackson. Now, you will die in the worst way. You will die while you are on your home element. On water. You can try to reach it, but you can't. Hahahaha" Hyperion laughed sadistically as he walked towards Percy.
Percy was now unable to keep standing and fell to his knees. As Hyperion reached him, the Titan kicked him hard on the chest, causing him to fall backwards. Percy clutched his chest as he groaned in pain at the powerful kick.
"Haha. Look at you. The 'mighty' Perseus Jackson. Lying pitifully at my feet. Hmm. Maybe I should keep you. You'll make a fine lap dog, you know. What do you say?" He asked before kneeling down to Percy's face.
Percy gathered a spitful of his blood and spat it at Hyperion's face. The Titan growled loudly before punching Percy's chest again. "Fucking brat. Disrespectful to the end, eh? Well, I promise I will break you, boy. Meanwhile, let's pay your friends a visit." He grinned savagely and got up. Hyperion started to walk towards the hunters and Annabeth.
Percy could only watch helplessly as the Titan made his way over to his friends. To his Annabeth. Her face appeared in front of his eyes. Suddenly, he felt a fire within him ignite. He felt a darkness creep up his soul at the thought of Hyperion harming Annabeth or Thalia.
He felt the power of the ocean churn within him. Digging as deep as he could inside his reserves, he accumulated his power together and gathered it. Letting out a feral roar of unmasked rage, Percy launched himself into his feet. The water underneath him rose to a miraculous height of hundred feet before dropping back down. Hyperion turned backwards and his eyes widened in shock to see the son of Poseidon standing.
Percy held Riptide tightly and launched himself at the Titan Lord. Hyperion shot out fireballs at him, but none were able to pass the water shield that covered the son of the seas. Finally reaching the Titan, Percy snarled in hatred and punched the eight foot man in his gut as hard as he could.
Hyperion bent over due to the power behind the hit. The next moment, Riptide was tearing through the Titan's thigh. The sword emerged out of the other side of his thigh. Hyperion let out another loud scream of pain and fell to his knees. He tried to grasp the sword, but Percy ripped it out of his thigh savagely, eliciting a soundless scream of pain.
But Percy wasn't done yet. He slowly took a walk around Hyperion, all the while glaring at him hatefully. Finally, when he reached Hyperion's left side again, he stopped. In a cold, venomous voice, he spoke, "You think just stopping the air supply will keep me down? Well, I don't know how you were killed during the first war, but I promise you, this time, it will be a lot more painful for you. Oh. And enjoyable for me." Percy grinned happily in the end, enjoying the prospect of torturing the Titan.
That is when Percy heard Annabeth speak, "Percy. Seaweed brain. Please. End it now. He's already lost. Don't do something you don't want to. I know you are angry, but I also know that Percy Jackson would never torture anyone, even his opponents. Please, Percy. For me." She pleaded with him.
As Percy turned to her, he expected to see fear and disgust in her eyes. Instead, he was surprised to see a single emotion there - worry. Even when he was a monster, his wise girl was worried about him. Oh. What would he do without her? He promised to tell her how he felt about her later on.
For now, he stared at her for a while before nodding slowly. Annabeth gave him a small smile and winked at him. "Send him to where he belongs, Percy." She told him softly, yet firmly.
Percy grinned at her and gave her a salute. "As the lady says." He then turned to Hyperion and grabbed his hair with his left hand.
Holding his head in place, Percy spoke, "Don't worry. Your brothers are gonna follow you soon. Now I think you need to die. So, nighty night, Hyperion."
In one quick motion, Percy stabbed Riptide through the Titan's neck. The blade emerged out from the other side. Before Hyperion knew it, he was dead.
Without waiting a second, Percy used all his power and pulled his sword upwards. The Titan's head came off his body. The decapitated body of the Titan fell to the floor before dissolving into golden dust.
The same happened to the head that was still resting on Riptide.
Lying on the ground where Hyperion's body disintegrated, was a small vial, the size of a plum. Percy bent down and picked it up. Annabeth gasped as she figured out what the vial was.
"Percy. That is the 'tear of light'. A small drop of it can cure literally any injury and disease. It has only been obtained twice. Both times when Hyperion was killed. You just got two drops of it.
Percy nodded, impressed with the liquid. Uncorking the vial, he drank half of it and handed the other half to Annabeth. He immediately felt a wave of relief pass throughout his body as he heard a broken rib mend itself. He could also feel the bleeding stop.
Annabeth took the vial and drank the other half. They watched in wonder as the wound on her shoulder, where Ethan backstabbing Nakamura had stabbed her, healed completely to leave only a small scar.
"Wow. That thing really is priceless." Annabeth spoke in wonder as she stored the empty vial in her pocket.
Percy nodded his head in agreement and stretched his body. Several pops were heard as he let out a sigh of relief and pleasure.
As Thalia stared at the blood covering Percy's face, she snorted out, "The Titan Lord really did a number on you."
Percy nodded and groaned again. "Tell me about it. Damm, his kicks hurt like a bitch. Stupid annoying asshole." He spoke frustratedly.
"Come on. The Apollo campers are facing some Giants and they need help. We better get there fast." Annabeth spoke tiredly before grabbing Percy's hand and marching towards a nearby Vespa. The rest of the day was spent in fighting, or in Percy's case, demolishing monsters left and right."
Flashback End
Percy was brought out of his thoughts when he heard the sound of light footsteps approaching him. He would have stiffened up and taken his Commander persona, had he not recognized the lemony scent that he knew extremely well.
A small smile made its way onto his face as he asked, "What are you doing up so late in the night, Wise Girl?"
Annabeth Chase reached him and stood beside him, with her hands resting on the railing. Turning her face to him, she shrugged her shoulders. "Couldn't really sleep. My thoughts were distracting me."
"Oh. I thought all you Athena kids are night owls." He laughed out at his humour.
"Yeah. Very funny, Seaweed brain." Annabeth replied dryly, but chuckled nonetheless.
She then continued. "What about you? You can't sleep as well. Any particular reason?"
Percy let out a sigh and spoke softly. "There's just this girl that I like very much. But I don't know how to tell her that. Heck, I don't even know whether I should even tell her that. You see, whether we win or lose this war, I am destined to die. So, even if she does like me, I do not want to leave her heartbroken and distraught. So, I don't know what to do. You are the wise girl, Annabeth. Tell me, what should I do?" He turned to face her and locked eyes with her.
Annabeth felt her heart break when he said the words. She knew that he was speaking of Rachel. That bitch had always tried to take Percy for herself. And now, she had succeeded. Annabeth had lost her Percy to that bitch. She felt her eyes watering slightly and immediately turned away from Percy. Right now, she felt like breaking down right there and crying her heart out. The love of her life has fallen for someone else.
But she couldn't. She wouldn't break down. More than being her crush, Percy was her best friend. The person who knew her best and vice versa. If he wanted advice, she would give him the best advice she could. Even if it broke her heart completely.
"Look here, Percy. Now tell me one thing. If you do die, and the girl likes you, will it still save her from heartbreak? Will she be any less hurt?" She asked him. Percy thought for a moment before shaking his head slowly.
Annabeth nodded and spoke again. "Also, I don't think you should be worried about how you tell her. Heck, even if you ask bluntly, any girl will immediately drop her panties for you." She couldn't stop the jealousy that seeped into that sentence.
Percy laughed wistfully and spoke. "No. She's different. And that's why I love her very much. More than anyone else."
Annabeth's eyes widened when he said the L word.
Percy turned to Annabeth. "So, how should I ask her out? I can't actually ask her to a movie as of now, right?" He asked her with a smile.
Annabeth shook her head. "No. You dummy. Confess to her about your feelings for her. Tell her that you love her. I am sure no girl in her right mind will reject you."
Percy nodded and then took a deep breath. "Ok. So, I am just gonna say it out now. Annabeth Chase, I love you. I love you very much. More so that I love myself. And I hope you feel the same about me. So, will you give me the honor of being your boyfriend?" He asked her hopefully.
Yet again, Annabeth was shell-shocked. She didn't even know how many times she had been shocked that day. But her shock turned to happiness as her heart started to beat faster.
Her heart and mind were squealing together, "He loves me. He loves me. He loves Me. Not that bitch Rachel. Me. Me. Mee."
Percy saw her lack of reaction and decided to try one last thing to get her answer. He slowly leaned forward and placed his lips to hers. A jolt of electricity passed through his body as he felt her soft, pink lips on his. The feeling was magical, simply magical.
Annabeth's brain melted when she felt his lips on hers. She let out a squeak of surprise as she realized that he was kissing her.
Not wasting a moment, she locked her hands behind his neck and began to kiss back excitedly.
Both of them were soon lost into the passionate embrace of their partner's lips.
Percy slowly nibbled her lower lips, making her moan into his mouth.
Annabeth ran her hand through his hair before clutching his silky black hair and tugging onto them.
Percy parted his lips to let out a moan. Taking advantage of this, Annabeth slipped her tongue into his mouth. Percy was surprised by this, but didn't protest in the slightest.
He responded with equal fervor as their tongues clashed against each other in a battle for dominance. Neither of them was ready to give up as they swapped saliva in an attempt to satisfy the hunger they felt for each other.
Percy's hands moved down and gripped her waist as he pulled her flush against his body. He pressed his lips against her hardly and made her head tilt backwards.
It was only when they felt the need to breathe that they finally separated. Percy kept his forehead against Annabeth's as they stared into each other's eyes.
As if an unspoken agreement passed between them, the two of them again locked lips with each other and started to make out wildly and passionately. After a few moments, Percy withdrew his lips from her's, making his Wise girl groan in disappointment at the loss of his lips.
Her groan turned into a squeal of pleasure as Percy latched his lips to her neck. He placed gentle, soft kisses on the tender, smooth skin of her neck. He could taste her slightly salty sweat on her neck, and honestly, it drove him crazy.
Latching on to one specific spot on her neck, Percy began to suck on her skin. Annabeth was now moaning madly, not caring if anyone heard them. She was feeling so good that nothing else mattered to her right now. Her Percy had just confessed that he loved her and was now making her feel pleasure unlike anything she had felt before. She was at the top of the world right now.
Percy felt a surge of carnal fascination inhibit his body as he started to suck harder. He stopped sucking and bit down on her smooth skin. She was his and he was going to mark her as such.
Annabeth let out a squeak of pain and pleasure as she felt him bite her neck. It was definitely going to leave a hickey. But she didn't care. She was going to proudly show it. Her Percy had marked her as his.
Percy pulled back from her and gazed at her intently, his eyes filled with love and lust.
Annabeth blushed when she saw the carnal fascination that she saw in his eyes. She felt heat pool into her loins as she bit her lip to suppress a moan.
Grabbing his hand in hers, she spoke sultrily while biting her lip. "Let's continue this inside."
She turned around and started to walk inside, pulling him behind her.
Percy gazed at her back as she walked ahead of him. She was deliberately swinging her hips, giving him a good show. A goofy grin made its way to Percy's face. The girl that he had a crush on for three years had confessed to loving him back. And now, he had a good idea where things were headed to. He was Lucky enough that Annabeth loved him back, but if his guess was correct, he was going to get luckier tonight.
And wrapp!
12K words!!
That's about one third of the original story. Damn. This story's gonna be long.
A/N
So, how was it? Better than the first book's starting? Or not?
Which part did you like best?
How was the fight scene between Hyperion and Percy? That part itself took two days of thinking. And 2.5k words.
Did I portray an insane, dark! Percy properly?
How was the ending Percabeth scene?
Also, next chapter, I am planning a Percabeth lemon. So, should I do it? Comment your answers.
Also, I have set up a poll for the pairings of this story on my Fanfiction account profile. So, vote your choices. See, there are going to be four females in the pairing. Three will be chosen from your votes. The last one is author's choice. Do vote. And to my readers on Wattpad, comment or P.M me your choices.
So, Percy himself knows that he is broken. His mind is shattered. He is maniacal and a complete demon on the battlefield. He is a being that monsters fear as much as they fear Titans. What more do you need for a perfect dark! protagonist, eh?
Only Annabeth is the one that binds him to sanity and still makes him feel good things. Well, Sally as well, but she is frozen in time.
The next chapter will again be the Last Olympian. The third or fourth chapter will finally start the main plot, the time travel. But this time, I have a special surprise for you guys. A clue about it - The surprise is blue and DESTRUCTIVE.
I personally feel that this chapter came out better than I expected. And as they say, self satisfaction is the most important feeling.
Please favorite, follow and comment. It means a lot to me.
Ok then
Thank you
Until next time
Peace out
