Extermination Day. The day that every single demon in hell knew about. This was the day that most of them feared. Extermination Day happened once every 365 days and lasted for 24 straight hours.
This day was very different from other days in hell. In most days of hell, you would find chaos and bloodshed everywhere you looked. The demons of Hell would stab, shoot, rob, and kill one another daily. These demons would do and sell drugs; they would have sex on the daily with one another; they would sometimes go so far and make weaker demons their slaves.
This was hell after all, where there was little to no law or order.
But as I said, this day was much different. On Extermination Day Exorcists from heaven would come down to hell and slaughter any demon in sight, to deal with hell's overpopulation problem.
Now these Exorcists, or Exterminators as they have been also called, did not give off the look of a heavenly being. Exterminators appear to have a fairly uniform appearance. Each of them being black, white, and grey. They had a type of humanoid figure to themselves. The one place where you could find any color on their bodies was their face. They also possess two large goat-like horns on their heads. Floating above all their heads sits a bright halo. On their backs, you would find a large pair of white wings, which allowed them to take flight when needed.
Even though they had a humanoid look to them their faces looked like they were all wearing masks out of the Purge.
On one side they had a big soulless eye, where they were no pupils or cornea to be found like on a human. Their other eye, wasn't an eye at all as it took upon the shape of an X. And finally, their mouths, where it showed nothing except an ear-to-ear evil-looking grin. Their main weapon of choice was a spear, which looked very similar to the shape of a harpoon.
Now, these Exterminators were no joke. They were fairly strong. These weapons they held were some of the most powerful in the realm. You could try to fight them off on your own. But you would surely get overwhelmed. Even some overlords, who are the strongest demons of Hell, could only take on around 10-15 before being overwhelmed and most likely slaughtered. So the odds are not in your favor.
All of this was on everyone's minds as they looked at the huge clock tower in the center of Pentagram city as it read

Extermination day was officially one day away. For the more powerful demons in Hell, this did not bother them. They had power, money, and fame on their side. They easily had places to be and people to protect them. But for the Hellspawn and the mortals. They're in for one hell of a ride.
