Clare heard a knock at her door. She knew it was Eli as she opened it since she texted him about ten minutes earlier and she knew she and Eli had to have a convo and a long overdue one at most. Clare opened up the door at the older boy with whom she had an on and off relationship for the last two almost three years.
Eli stood there with a smile on his face looking at Clare "Hey what's up?" He asked.
"Thanks for coming" The blue-eyed girl replied.
"You okay?" He asked.
Clare stepped aside as she turned back into the living room, "We need some rules here", Don't get Clare wrong she was still in love with Eli and will always be that however there was a baby now so they weren't the old Eli and Clare they used to be.
Eli walked into the house looking at Clare shutting the door behind him "I don't follow".
Clare turned around to face Eli the old Clare would rush over to Eli and kiss him on the lips but she knew they had to be, "We need to set some boundaries". Maybe Alli was right, maybe Clare and Eli are like magnets but that may be true cause every time Eli and Clare get back on good terms they got back together as a couple.
The green-eyed former Degrassi student fully shut the door, he turned to face Clare "I thought we were doing pretty well, birthing class was awesome".
Clare looks at Eli and she knew she had to talk to him "Exactly - too awesome".
"Clare" Eli looks at her.
"Rule one not telling me you love me or how amazing I am or how much you support me" Clare starts.
Eli steps closer towards Clare looking at her, "But I do that, never going to change."
"Two don't look at me the way you do that turns me into a pile of mush" she was already feeling that as he looked at her.
"What I can't even look at you now" he was looking straight at her with a little shrug he knows what he's doing to her "That going to make things pretty difficult" he stepped closer to her.
This boy was making this girl feel things she hadn't in a while with him but she had to be strong "three" she paused trying to avoid eye contact "No saying the exact thing I need to hear at the exact time I need to hear" she stood there Eli was about to touch her hand she quickly pulls away. "And four no physical contact of any kind."
Eli looks at her with a soft smile and he knows that he and Clare can't just be friends "Clare, I obey any rule you want. What are you so scared of?" The soulmates stare at each other; they were obviously in love in those eyes Eli leaned in kissing Clare she kissed back they let go for one second.
"That" Clare admits she loves him since she was 15, their lips met and became more needy and hungry with love. Clare held on to Eli and they fell back, still kissing.
Once on the sofa, Eli moved to her neck she let out a soft moan they missed this, more so now. Clare holds the back of Eli's head; she loves his natural golden locks; she tugs on it as Eli slowly kisses down her neck; he also takes off his shirt thing while leaving love bites on Clare. Clare bit her lips and let go of his hair, taking off her shirt thing, they started to make out and now Eli had a little problem down there and Clare could feel it through the fabric.
That lasted a few minutes now they were both naked Eli asked if she was sure of this Clare gave an assuring smile and a nod and at that, they made beautiful and passionate love with every moan was left, their names were cursed out in vein but they didn't care they were so in love with each other and are soulmates.
Eli gazes at Clare's beautiful body she slides his hand down her body she would arch her back a little too he could roam and get in, he fitted perfectly they could mild their bodies perfectly as she digs her fingers on his back they both scream in pleasure "Fuck Clare I do miss this".
Clare blushes "I missed you" she caresses his face cupping his face with her free hand pulling him in for a kiss.
Every rhythm, every sync of their bodies heated with passion but most importantly love they knew they would spend the rest of their lives together they were going to be parents and now it was just the two with no worries or past to bother them. Right now they were just Eli Goldsworthy and Clare Edwards the loved up couple, the soulmates leaving their roller coaster of past behind far in history.
Now a few minutes later Clare flips Eli over very carefully though since she was pregnant with his child she looks at him with a seductive smile he gave her his famous smirk "What are you gonna do now Edwards?" He teased her.
"Clare blushed bright red "You have to wait and find out," she tells him as she moves down with Eli's eyes widened he couldn't believe what his innocent girlfriend was doing to him but again he did get her pregnant.
He gulped a lump down his throat "You don't have to baby" he assured her.
Clare shakes her head "I want to" She smiles at him he smiles back.
Minutes later they both had pleasured one another they both were satisfied and put their clothes back on Eli was laying on the sofa Clare hover over him as they both just looked at each other knowing they were not going anywhere. "You are so beautiful as always" Eli looks at the woman above him.
Clare looks down at the man she loves "Not bad yourself" she teased giggling and Eli mocks being hurt.
"Hey woman," Eli laughs with him gently pulling her closer to kiss her. She kisses back and stares at him with love. They stayed like that in silence but it was comfortable and they enjoyed being in each other's company.
It took another 10 minutes to sit back on the couch head to toe facing one another giggling and smiling Clare resting her hand on the top of the coach "That not how I planned that to go" she was referring to how she and Eli ended up on this way in the first place.
"Do you regret it?" Eli asks Clare referring to the sweet sex they just had.
"No," Clare, she looks up a little before looking at Eli. She knows they still have things they both have to work things out. "We can't just pretend that things haven't happened. Everything changed."
Eli knows Clare's right everything has changed. He does wish he could go back and change things but he knows that now it is all that matters. He moves closer to Clare so he can talk to her. "I hurt you. I know that '' he looks at Clare, he knows he had hurt Clare in the worst ways possible he always promised he would protect her but this past year he turned into the worst version of himself.
"Do you remember the last time we were happy together" it was true Clare had to ask that because part of the long-distance they had before all of this was making them both miserable and the last time they were truly happy was back in the summer before he left for NYU.
"I'm happy right now. Are you?" He responds to Clare's questions; he reads Clare's face and he knows she needs more reassurance which is valid especially in the situation they had been in weeks before. He thinks for the right thing to say when he looks at her gorgeous face again "Things hadn't been perfect and they never will be but I don't know who to be other than be with you." It was true even back when they first dated they never were the perfect couple but no couple was perfect everyone came with flaws and imperfections. "I want us to spend the rest of our lives together '' Eli adds he could see Clare look at him and she was thinking, "Hey where are you," he asked softly.
She gives him a small smile she knew she wanted to spend her life with him. "I'm right here, with you." she looks at him with the love she has been holding. She leans in with a soft kiss.
Clare then rests her head on Eli's shoulder he rests his head on her, their hands met and intertwined perfectly.
They were true soulmates at last they found their way back to each other despite everything they gone through the love they had for each other was strong and pure and nobody could get in between of that no even a bully turned Jesus lover, a lumberjack tree hugger, quirky whacky dresser, a roommates and a hombo of a president could tear them apart. They weren't the kids that got put as English partners anymore no they were now grown-up and future parents of a life they had created even though timing was wrong but they were ready for this new chapter in the story of them.
"I love you" Clare whispered to Eli softy.
"Forever and Always" Eli repeated he gave her a kiss on her head before moving away so he could wrap his arms around her pulling her close. She sat back on the sofa, her head resting on his chest.
"I know last year I promised we would make it through together but this time I mean it" Eli spoke.
"I know we will I believe you" Clare was genuine she knows her and Eli would always be together no matter what and it was only a short few months to her graduation then summer and she will move in with Eli and start a family with him with their baby and she will go to Columbia or maybe online courses and Eli will be at NYU his second year.
A few moments later Clare peacefully falls asleep with Eli watching "One day I will marry you Clare Diana Edwards" he whispers hoping she never heard him but little did he know she did and had a smile on her face.
