After Master Po and the Four Constellations helped Empress Xiao defeat the white-boned demon, they were able to spend another night in the palace as a show of gratitude.
In the end, Xiao insisted that Fan Tong sleep with her, under the guise of safety, but mainly because she liked him very much, and wanted to spend the rest of his stay in his arms.

"Thank you Fan Tong, I hope we can see each other again as soon as possible," Xiao said with teary eyes.
"It'll be sooner than you think," Fan Tong said as he carefully hugged the Empress, then continued, "but now it's time to sleep, we have to leave early tomorrow."
"Yes, you're right good night Fan Tong, you're a real hero."
"Sweet dreams, Empress," Fan Tong said as he held Xiao's hand to calm her down.
"You too, Fan Tong," Xiao said as the Empress with a sad smile.
At dawn the next day, when the sun was only half risen, Po and the Four Constellations were soon ready to depart.
In keeping with tradition, the Empress shows her gratitude to the pandas for helping to defeat evil. The pandas, of course, bow to the Empress as a show of respect. While the Four Constellations are having a final conversation with the Empress, Po and Jade Tusk spoke briefly.
"Thanks to you and your students, there is finally peace in the Forbidden City...for now," Jade Tusk said with a small smile.
"We all want peace everywhere," Po said with a small smile as well.
Then, after a little silence, Jade Tusk speaks again.
"Master Po, may I ask you something?"
"Of course, Jade Tusk."
"How can I thank you when Jindiao almost killed me, saved me and gave me another chance, despite my past evils?"
"There is no need to thank me. Since you also helped defeat Jindiao, we gave you another chance. And although you can't change the past, you can still be a good person.
I have faith in you!"
Po told Jade Tusk proudly.
"I shall be =grateful to you for a lifetime, thank you for everything!" Said Jade Tusk.
Although, according to tradition, the masters do not hug, Po and Jade Tusk made an exception.
Everyone outside of them was shocked, yet everyone could understand, since saying farewell is not an easy thing, but no one but them really knows why it happened.
Po was the last to talk to Jade Tusk.
"I would still like to make a request."
"You can ask me anything."
Jade Tusk was curious.
"Please take care of Xiao, help her with everything, take care of her."
"But that's my job," Jade Tusk said with a little chuckle, "but if you really want me to, I'll help her with everything I can."
Smiling, Po just said, "Thank you, Jade Tusk."
The airship slowly lands, allowing the pandas to return home to their panda village.
Fan tong hugs Xiao one last time and then hands over a pendant, a wooden pendant with an FT on it.
Xiao then gives a small token, one bestowed with the Imperial Crest.
They both promise to take care of each other's little pendants.
With the airship leaving soon, Jade Tusk bids farewell to the pandas.
"I will be grateful to you for what you have done for me for a lifetime!"
"Thank you for everything, Jade Tusk." Nu Hai said to Jade Tusk, bowing.
"Not only because of what I have done for Xiao, but because you gave me another chance despite my evil past."
"You can't change the story, but you can change your further actions. We believe you are on the right track!"
"I owe you all eternal gratitude, thank you again."
"You're welcome, Jade Tusk!" Every panda said at once.
As the airship landed, the pandas boarded it.
Everyone waved at each other, then Xiao shouted at Fan Tong.
"Thank you for everything, Fan Tong, you will be my friend forever!"
"Thank you for everything...you'll always be my friend!"
The airship takes off slowly and everyone says goodbye loudly.
When the ship is high enough, Jade Tusk turns to speak to Xiao
"I know you'll miss Fan Tong, but I'll always be here for you."
"Thank you, Jade Tusk...I hope to see you again as soon as possible, as well as the others."
"I also hope so."
Then Empress Xiao and Jade Tusk went into the palace.
It's been 4 years since the inhabitants of the Forbidden City said goodbye to the pandas.
Empress Xiao continues to reign and Jade Tusk supports her in every way she can.

"I know...they are very kind and loyal. But I hope I can see them," Xiao said hopefully.
After a short silence, Jade Tusk speaks.
"I sent Huifang to bring you some little things to make you feel better."
"Thank you, Jade Tusk! I'm glad you're hear to cheer me up."
"It's the least I can do for you."
"I hope she didn't get lost in the busy streets!" Xiao said with a small smile.
"I hope not also," Jade Tusk said with a small chuckle.
Huifang had just bought the little surprises for the Empress, when suddenly a snow leopard female was washing her clothes along the creek with a sad look.
She thought about giving the girl some time to see if she needed any help.
"Hello! My name is Huifang and you?" the water deer asked curiously.
"My name is Lian and I'm currently looking for a place to live, I've come a long way to find one because I can't live anywhere right now. Lian replied sadly.
"I see, if you can give me some time, I'll ask the Empress what we can do about it."
"I don't know, I don't want to disturb the Empress because of such little thing."
"But the Empress is happy to help everyone, even if we can't find the perfect place for you. Come with me, I'll introduce you!"
"All right, but can I pick up my clothes?"
"Sure, I'll help!"

"You're welcome, Lian!"
With that, the two of them headed for the palace.
As they ascend the palace stairs and enter the throne room, Lian stares in shock at the paintings, statues, ornaments, and all the beautiful objects. The Empress is sitting in her throne, smiling upon seeing Huifang and a snow leopard.
Huifang introduces Xiao to Lian, who cannot find a home.
Xiao talks to Lian about what she needs.

The entire Forbidden City celebrated the 24th anniversary of the Empress's birth.
They held a great ceremony, where there were plenty in the palace area.
Many were present at the event, including all the water deer, Lian, and all the residents of the forbidden city.
The feast was surrounded by a huge buffet with all kinds of food and drinks.
Master Po and the Four Constellations also came as guests of honor.
Xiao cried tears of joy to see Fan Tong again, who turned 22.
Respectively, Lian and Po also ran into each other and were very happy to meet each other again.
Xiao is just thanking everyone who is there at the ceremony.

Lian was also pleased to see Po again, although Po asked Lian what had happened to Peng, but Lian didn't want to answer.
He thought of asking her again, but he figured that if she didn't want to say anything about it, he'd rather not ask.
It made him a little sad because of it, but Lian tells him that unfortunately it's very complicated, and since they have to go, she tells Po that she will tell him another time.
Po understood, saying goodbye to Lian before boarding the airship as it was about to take off.
The farewell is less sad now because Xiao believes she can see Fan Tong again.
That morning, Lian felt guilty because she couldn't tell Po what had really happened to Peng, causing her to start crying in her room.
Outside, Huifang hears the cry, looks in and walks over to Lian and asks with a sad look,
"What's wrong Lian, why are you crying?
"I couldn't tell Po what happened to Peng!"
