"Are you sure I don't need an ID for this Josh?" Davina asked anxiously as she adjusted the masked over her face and made sure that no one would recognize her.
Davina had never attended a party before or even went clubbing. So this would be the first time she would experience the nightlife. The only reason she was there was because Davina felt lost and lonely. Her coven had shunned her. Without their support and with no surviving family to take her in, Davina had taken residence in the attic where Marcel had sheltered her last year. If it weren't for Josh, she wouldn't know what to do afterward.
She only grew even more despondent when Davina also failed to resurrect Kaleb - or rather, Kol Mikaelson. Davina still felt furious at Rebekah for tricking her into resurrecting Esther Mikaelson instead of Kol. That had been the last straw and Davina was quite done dealing with Kol's siblings.
Hence, faced with one disaster after another. Davina was just tired and depressed. Josh had tried to cheer her up by other means, but he always failed. Now, they were in a mansion where witches, vampires and other night creatures intermingled to partake in Lucient Castle's Masked Revel.
Davina Claire just wanted to forget everything that happened for the past weeks and it seemed attending one of Lucien Castle's Masked Revel was a perfect place for it.
"You don't have to worry about it, Davina. No one really cares here. That's why all are required to wear masks to hide our identities. It's also an open house, where anyone can join the revel, whether they are witches, werewolves or vampires. We are all here to just have fun," Josh told her and Davina just followed after Josh and hoped that everything would turn out for the better for her that night.
She just wanted to forget everything. She just wanted to feel young and free for once without any obligation to anyone.
She just wanted to have fun.
But perhaps she should have been careful about wishing for that too.
Or she wouldn't have ended up losing her virginity to the enemy at all.
