A/N: Sooo this was supposed to be a one-shot but I decided to make it into a short story instead maybe like (2 or 3 chapters). Also trying out something new here and I'll see if I'll keep it or not. Also, there is some OOC.

"Rrrr" I clenched the joystick tighter. "Come on come on." I rapidly pushed the buttons. "Yess!! come on just one more kick!!.. " I leaned closer, my eyes never leaving the screen. They began to burn. "Ahhh yesss... Nooo!!" my mouth dropped. I reached into my right pocket, then rapidly to the left, and once again back to my right.

"Ten, nine, eight, seven" The game started counting down flashing insert coin to continue.

"I know, I have one more," I said to myself, my eyes widen as I finally feel what I've been searching for, I grin while crouching down in front of the slot.

"Five, four"

"WHAT?! a nickel?" I stared at the silver coin dissatisfy.

"Three, two, one, Game over."

I rise, sighing as my character groans.

"Eren" A hand touched my right shoulder. I turn around to see my best friend Armin. "Another lose?"

I nodded to the question "Do you have a quarter?"

Armin smiled a bit as he pulled out both his pockets nothing but some lint fell out. "Nope. Fresh out used a good amount on the fishing game. Got 2,000 tickets!!"

"Oh yeah! hey, can I have them?" I asked.

"Sure, Mikasa's holding them for me." Armin and I began to go back to our table where our friends are currently at.

"Fucking finally Yeager" Jean rolled his eyes and crossed his arms around his chest. "How can you spend more than ten minutes in this place?!"

"I like it here," Marco said as he ate his burger.

"Of course you do." Jean playfully elbowed him.

"Shut up Jean!" I sat in the booth they were currently in. "You're just jealous I beat your high score on Street Fighter Two." I held up an L sign in front of him.

"Those types of games mean nothing!" He whacked my hand and leaned closer to me. "It's nothing but pushing buttons."

"Oh yeah! Well if I had another quarter! I'll so kick your ass again." I also stood up.

"Jean come on, you didn't mean that" Marco touched his hand.

"Yeah, I did." He turned his head to reply to him then turned back to me, "well at the moment it's all about The House of Death! Which involves intelligence and survival skills which!! you clearly don't have!"

By this point, we were both headbutting each other. "I'll beat your score just like I alwa-"

"Enough."

We both turned to see Mikasa standing over us. "Break it up." She parted us and we sulked into our seats. "This is supposed to be a celebration for all of us, apologize."

"Tch, sorry Eren" Jean turned away. Marco patted his back.

"Yeah, whatever sorry too."

"Mikasa saves the day again." Armin laughs while Marco heartily smiles and nods.

Jean's face softens and grabs hold of Marco's hand "Say where'd you get all the tickets?"

Mikasa sat down placing three thick pink folded-up tickets in the middle of the table.

"Well-" She began.

"Can I tell them please?!" Armin raised his hand.

Mikasa laughed and nodded for him to start the story.

"Aww... OKAY! WELL ME AND MIKASA WERE THROWING SOME HOOPS, WELL MORE LIKE SHE WAS GIVING ME SOME TIPS, BUT ANYWAYS THESE FOUR BIG GUYS CAME UP TO US AND WERE SAYING!." Armin slowed down, then began to drink his soda.

"Seriously..." Jean sighed, while I ate some fries. Mikasa continued to smile.

"AND THEN THOSE guys were saying 'oh I bet a pretty little thing like you can't beat me in the punching game' so she bet them all their tickets and in her FIRST PUNCH SHE BROKE IT!!" Armin cheered.

"Damn really?..." Marco sounded surprised, then began to blush as he realized he just cures. Jean laughs which makes him even redder "umm, you didn't get into trouble?"

"Nah, after I broke it they just gave me the tickets and left. Rico says those guys were a bother, so she's going to let this one go. Just for this time." Mikasa winked.

They kept talking about something but I just occasionally nodded and said uh-huh. Currently, all my attention was staring at the long and thick rolls of the pink tickets. Yes, I just need a little more and it will be perfect. I kept thinking of all different ways and words anything to make sure it's just right. How should I do it? Just come right out and say it or maybe a poem?

Damn, why didn't I pay more attention to my English class!

But wait, words are great but actions and the way I say it that could cost me everything! My eyes widened. Oh, why haven't I thought of this more thoroughly? That's it I won't do it until I know for a fact it will be perfect.

"EREnn-"

"Huh..." Smack. "Oww what the hell was that for?!" I touched my head which hurt.

"Mikasa and Armin were trying to pull you out of your weird daydreams and you weren't answering so I smacked the back of your head" Jean shrugged.

"Well, you didn't have to hit me so damn hard!" I snapped back.

"Fucking answer next time you hot head!"

"You didn't have to hit him, Honey..." Marco looked softly at him.

"Tch didn't even hurt!" I turned.

Armin and Mikasa both signed. "I was asked if you're ready to leave."

"Hmph, Nah not yet. You guys can go through."

"Are you sure Eren?"

"Eh! if the dork wants to stay let him stay." Jean crossed his arms.

"Trust me, I'm good I'll walk home." I touched Marco's shoulder while giving horse face the bird.

Jean grunts as he flicks my hand off his boyfriend's shoulder, Marco was telling him how that's rude or something like that, I'm just here grinning. It's so easy making Jean angry.

They started to have a little argument, so I just got out of the booth and walked away to head towards a game. "Uh damn... I wish I had another quarter."

"Eren"

I turned to see Mikasa and Armin. "You guys gonna head out right now"

"Yeah it's getting late and I have track tomorrow," Mikasa looked at her watch. "Eren if you are really going to stay longer, please at least tell your parents, before they get worried."

"I told them since yesterday that we would be hanging out at the arcade, they know where I am."

"I'm being serious Eren, I'll be calling your house later tonight. AND if I hear that you're not there or got home late. OR if the police had to escort you home for causing a commotion... again. I will kick your ass."

"As funny as that would be to see... again. I'm sure Eren will be fine," Armin said. "And plus..." He grinned "Once it gets too late, I could log into his find my iPhone to make sure he's made it home."

I rolled my eyes at that. "Eh, you guys are taking this crap too far. I'll just do what I always do and message our group chat that I'm home. Also, you're just lucky I'm too lazy to change my password for that."

"You mean you don't know how to change it." He said back.

"Whatever."

"OKAY! Let's go," We turned to see Marco and Jean head our way.

Mikasa signed, "Please be safe Eren."

"I will" I waved them off, then pulled out my phone as I walked away. The time was 9:24 pm. I removed my phone case taking out the backup five bucks I always kept. Enough for a drink and a burger I thought. After I got my order I was about to sit back down at the booth we were all just sitting at, but saw something that looked like a little bag was there. "Well, guess I'll have to find another spot." Someone must have left that there as a spot holder. I searched around and decided to take a seat in the middle of the eating area. While I ate I looked through my phone. Just scrolling through the news.

When I finished I walked around, sadly looking mostly at the floor seeing if anyone dropped a quarter, why out of all times did Rico had to work? She doesn't exchange money for quarters she says just use the coin machine. What? It's broken, oh well better luck tomorrow. Honestly she probably just doesn't like me.

"Excuse me"

"Hmm?" I looked up to see a boy I'd say around my age maybe a little older?

"Hey, If you're not busy... or anything do you want, to play me on Street Fighter?" The boy asked smiling.

"I would but sorry I didn't have any quarters" I shrugged.

He began to talk again but in the corner of my eye, I noticed movement at the prize counter. I turned my head and my heart automatically started beating a lot harder, I swear when it gets like this. I feel like you're able to see it pulsing from the outside of my chest. My mouth felt dry so I shook my drink then drank my soda. The scene that got me feeling this way is I see a really good-looking girl talking to him, and the thing that felt like a punch to the stomach was that he is smiling. I don't think I've ever seen him smile until now, and as beautiful and actually adorable of a sight this was it was actually pretty painful as well.

'damn... Fuck too late? Should have done it sooner? Shit' random thoughts race through my head.

"Um... you know what! you look pretty... Pretty I mean! Pretty tired" He laughed then cleared his throat. "I'll... I'll let you go bye, have a goodnight." The boy waved.

"Bye." I said, not even sure if I said that loud enough for him to hear.
