Minoru Mineta was one of the oddest boys in Class 1-A.
Even removing his all-over-the-place personality, the word 'odd' would always come to mind.
That's what Mina Ashido thought of him, whenever their paths happened to cross. It wasn't a particularly good thing to think of someone all the time, after all, she was a girl with pink skin, but she did have her reasons.
His face was incredibly round, sprouting equally round cheeks. His round eyes of deep black; his tiny nose and mouth; the shining, purple balls protruding from his head; and his most apparent trait, his petite stature—only managing standing up to her waist.
It made Mineta quite a stand-out person, infamous in the school, though not in a way many regarded as positive. She was one of those people, being the unfortunate victim of his lecherous antics.
However, the bubbly girl began to think something else one day…
Those things about Mineta, were they really that bad?
His face was incredibly round, sprouting equally round cheeks—making the boy look unusually cute to her. And when she poked his cheeks, to Mineta's speedy submission, Mina found herself thinking they were incredibly soft. They felt great, and when they lit up red at her touch, her beating heart couldn't help but jump.
His round eyes were a deep black colour—but the more she looked into them, she realised it wasn't true. Instead, they were more like a very, dark purple. Looking into them, as he talked hopefully about his new dreams to improve…not being captivated was easier said than done. It was her cheeks' turn to brighten up in pink.
Mineta's nose and mouth were small, yeah, yet…when they shared their first kiss—the most delightful sensation rushed through Mina's body. The feeling of the force of his soft lips against hers, and Mineta's clumsy efforts throughout it, made her wish this moment could last forever. Unlike before, pressing his nose would cause him to giggle and smile.
His uniquely-shaped hair led Mina to think hard about something—what would it be like to touch them? She later found out that it was a source of anxiety for him, not wanting to risk having her stuck to him all day if it was possible. Mina would probably say, in a flirty manner, that she'd like that.
Eventually, curiosity got the better of her, and she reached to grab one. He could already put on clothes or a hat without trouble, so why would it be different here? Both of them ended up experiencing one of the greatest feelings ever, perhaps Mineta had been hiding it from her because it was that good.
Being loved like this—Mineta would sometimes sob, asking her how he could be so lucky—after doing everything he had to her and the other girls. Even though he had made up with them, it would still stain his conscience. But time again she would insist that this relationship wasn't something lucky.
Even with those small hands of his, they had reached out to help other people and saved them. Even with that small body, that others labelled as weak, he still gave everything he had to reach what he wanted. Even when he was scared, trembling and hurt—Minoru Mineta didn't ever back down, keeping his ideals at heart.
Sure, he was one of the oddest boys in Class 1-A, perhaps in the school.
But it was that odd boy that, with all those traits, that had captivated her. He was that odd boy she'd fallen head over heels for. Mina would unhesitantly tell him this—cuddling Mineta's crying form and showering him with love.
