1. Not all Demonslayers are invincible.

Severus Snape and Harry Potter have never been ordinary Demonslayers. Ever since they left England with Ron and Hermione when Voldemort died to work for the Demonslayers, they have been looked down upon by his own comrades. Magical unlike the rest of them, they have been through harsh training (as harsh as Harry's life sometimes) to make it to the Final Selection. They had not bothered to learn japanese, but communicated by either English or telepathy, much to people's annoyance. Now ten years has passed since they joined, Muzan Kibutsuji, even crueler than Voldemort was dead for centuries, and their lives were getting boring with no more demons to slay, and Ron and Hermione had been dispatched to different areas. However, today wasn't an ordinary day. Little did Severus know what was in store for him...

Severus was woken by his Kasugai crow, which was squawking and jumping on his face. "Argh-get-OFF!" He grumbled, but the crow was persistent. "Go to tokyo. And kill the demon who has been leaving blood marks over people's houses. Now." It squawked. What? A demon case? B-but Kibutsuji is dead for ages! The Demonslayers were close to disbanding once, but some cautious members had convinced the Demonslayers to stay together, just in case, because there were signs that the Demons were rising...again. He has to get there, now. With Potter too. "POTTER!" he barked into the room next door. "Whasappenin." He mumbled. "Get up NOW! There is a savage Demon in Tokyo and we need to slay it!" "But Kibutsuji has been dead for 100 years. Aren't you dreaming, Severus?" "No I am NOT dreaming!" He barked, causing Potter to get up slowly, grumbling. Severus already had his Demon Slayer uniform on, his black cloak covering the large silver '减' Japanese for DESTROY, that would give him away to may-be Demons. Potter finally got his uniform on, still unkempt and sleepy. "You're in enough strength to Apparate, come on!" pulling Potter outside, they Disapparated to Tokyo.

"Where are they?" Harry wondered aloud to himself. Snape didn't seem to hear him. He kept sniffing the air, like he was checking for something. Well, he has to use his big hooked nose for something, right? "This way." Snape whispered to Harry, and they snuck like foxes into a back alley. Harry almost gagged at the smell...a combination of blood and acid. A Demon smell so strong that even humans with an ordinary sense of smell could detect. Harry DID snicker at the look of Snape coughing and wheezing to get rid of the stench, spittle flying from his mouth. "Seriously? If a Demon were nearby that would give us away." Imitating Snape's own impeccable caution. "It's-not my-fault-this smell is too-strong!" He managed to choke. Snape continued creeping down the alleyway, until they came across a horrible scene.

Blood, bodies. Blood was smeared everywhere on this alley, and a body covered in puncture marks. What Demon eats this way? One bite is enough to kill. This Demon must be a savage. Harry was so shocked he didn't see the figure sneaking behind him, until a heavy black bundle smashed him into a wall. "Severus wha-" but Harry cut himself off. A Demon was sneaking towards them, its skin reddish-black, its large, rolling black eyes with red pupils staring. It was hairless, but instead tentacle-like protrusions covered its head. Snape looked stock-still, instead of taking the chance and attacking like Harry was thinking of doing. He needs to think of a plan. Harry's mind whispered. Target its weaknesses. But what weaknesses were there? Sure, its eyes were big and fragile, but wouldn't they just heal afterwards? The Demon had snuck up to Severus, almost touching its face, when with alarming speed Snape drove his Nichirin sword straight through its eye. The demon gave an inhuman shriek and lunged towards Snape, who dodged. The hunt was on. Snape didn't have to say his move to use it, the battle was completely silent except for bloody noises and the Demon's shrieks. Let Snape get distracted, I'm going to slice its head off-"YEEOWWWW!" Severus' yell of pain broke Harry's concentration. Severus looked like death warmed over- a large scratch mark now ran down the entire left side of his face, crossing one eye, which was closed. His left shoulder and right leg were bleeding heavily-the demon had managed some bites. Snape didn't seem the least bit fazed by this-he was still fighting the demon savagely, cutting and dodging attacks to try and sap it of its energy. Harry had managed to stab it through the neck, but the wound was healing and the Demon scratched Harry on his arm, leaving deep red marks there. Maybe it was time to try some magic. Wizard magic doesn't work as fast on Demons, but Harry did NOT want to leave a bleeding demon and a dead human in an alleyway. This is cleaner. "SECTUMSENPRA!" Harry and Snape shouted at the same time. The Demon gave a yowl that made Harry clamp his ears shut; its head swung clean off and landed with a smack on the ground. Seizing this valuable chance Harry stabbed his sword into the Demon's head, killing it, while Snape chopped its body into bits. The Demon was dead-but so was Severus. He stumbled and slipped in the blood puddles and Harry had to hold him up as he limped, in addition to worrying about his own injuries, including a scratch on his right shoulder that exposed bone, likely made by the Demon's claws. They cast a Disillusionment charm on themselves, as being heavily injured in the middle of a bustling street seemed suspicious. The Demonslayers were just making some decent headway to the nearest hospital when Snape started to alarmingly cough blood. Did Snape get stabbed by the Demon? Waves of it streamed down his front, onto Harry. "T-tergeo." Snape managed to gasp to halt the blood, but the blood only halted a little. They needed help NOW. Well, they could always Apparate...

"Is anyone there? S-Severus needs help NOW!" Harry panted, carrying a now unconscious Severus, blood still dripping out of his open mouth. Harry had to risk Apparating to the nearest muggle hospital, as this was tiring but far better than having Severus bleed out. Harry had pretended that Severus had been shot, as muggles didn't kow much about demons, and this was far safer than having some random person know about demons. Harry watched as doctors carried Severus away on a stretcher, leaving him alone. Harry healed his own wounds with his wand, leaving dark purple scars where the scratch marks used to be, and his shoulder scratch still exposed bone. So this is why Severus didn't heal himself. Harry realized. Demon wounds can't be instantly healed by magic. Harry had to pace, waiting for Severus, until he heard a gasp behind him. "Y-you're a Demon slayer?" The girl gasped. Harry had to take a moment to think. Was this girl a Demon? She could be a Demon spy in human form, and it was suspicious that the girl had managed to spot his Demonslayer uniform even if it was hidden under his hoodie. "No." Harry lied. The little girl looked disappointed, skulking away. At that moment Harry was distracted by Severus scrambling out of the hospital, as fast as his limp would carry him. Understanding the look in Severus' eyes, Harry helped him escape; there were disguised Demons here. Scrambling outside into the bustling street, the Demonslayers Apparated to a wild mountain.

"Out of all places, here? That was an incredibly dunderheaded decision, considering you're a Demonslayer." Severus sneered, after Harry had pitched his old tent that he had used with Ron and Hermione. "I didn't have time to look alright? Was too busy saving our NECKS? Pun intended." Harry snapped, referencing Nagini's bite on Snape. Snape can be so ungrateful sometimes. But then again, he's been through worse. "Speaking about near-death experiences, why did you start coughing blood before?" Harry asked. Severus' face turned ashen. "Just tell me. A Demon is going to slay you first if we're fighting with injuries." Harry prompted. "No. I don't need your fussing to slow me down." He hissed darkly, and turned his back on Harry, but he saw that Severus' brows had knitted together in pain. "Severus? Just let me have a look." DON'T-" he protested, but Harry unbuttoned his robes and gasped;

Snape's chest was red and inflamed; because of a small shard of rib sticking through the skin. "Why didn't you tell me? I think I can take this out. Accio rib shard!" Harry muttered. he grimaced at Severus' howl of pain, and almost forgot to do a Blood Halt spell to stop the blood that spurted out. "Maybe a bit less b-blunt next time?" Severus groaned. Harry didn't answer. They had way too many near misses. And with Demons disguised everywhere, Harry didn't know who to trust anymore. "Let's take a break from slaying Demons, alright? We both look like death warmed over and I don't want you dead." Harry finally decided. "How sentimental. You rushing into battle alone for me. I'm just one human, Potter. Think about how many OTHER lives could be lost if we stopped Demon slaying. " Severus snapped. "But-" Severus cut him off. "Don't accept every case we get, Potter. But no, we can't stop." Severus protested. "Ok OK!" Harry accepted, recognising defeat. Don't argue with Snape and get out of it alive. Harry was starting to feel tired...the day was more than tiring...

"Blood. I need blood." Sakura hissed. She is the Red Vampire's friend-a much more powerful Demon. Disappointed at the fact that he was squashed like a fly, she was out to get the Demon slayers to make them pay. She had broken her cover when the black cloaked slayer recognized her disguise when he went to a hospital to get his wounds treated-but he was very weak. If it weren't for the green-eyed Demon slayer he'd be dead. She had tricked many a foolish human with her good looks-her slitted pink eyes on top of her pale skin and silky blond hair, with black streaks. She searched for any sign of the Demon Slayers; they had concealed themselves with some human version of Blood demon art; something she had never seen before. She heard a howl of pain; the Demonslayer is weak! She followed the scent, creeping into the tent.

Severus jerked awake in the middle of the night when he smelled something strange; an alluring scent, something so nice he crept towards its source to take it in-No! His mind shouted. This is clearly the scent of a demon! Drawing his sword, Severus slunk outside. The Demon looked eerily beautiful; silky black-streaked blond hair swirled around her; infact if it wasn't for years of training Severus wouldn't have told this Demon apart from a human, except for the pupil-less pink eyes. "Such a brave human. Bravely going outside only to be eaten? Well, that's a bit sad." Severus shuddered at her voice. Search for weaknesses. Don't let her trick you. "Ooh, a water breather." Sakura suddenly remarked, staring at Severus' navy blue blade. Using a sword isn't going to do the job quickly. "SECTUMSENPRA!" Severus barked. With a shrill scream the Demon's head swung off, with Severus stabbing the head with his sword to deliver the coup d'grace. The demon was dead. But Severus could feel something strange. His body seemed unable to move. Instead it was twitching of its own accord, threatening to walk him to the edge of the mountain. Must. Go. Back. To. Tent. Severus' mind struggled, but he promptly tripped himself, completely out of control. With all his might, he broke into Potter's mind.

" I'm being attacked by a Demon's poison. Come outside, QUICKLY!" Harry heard a thought that wasn't his pop into his mind. Was it Snape? he carefully crept outside, only to see Snape jerking and convulsing, threatening to roll off the mountainside. "SEVERUS!" Harry panicked, running to his former potions professor, who could've cured this in a blink, but something was controlling him. His eyes were pupil-less and blank, and Harry could see his nails sharpening...NO! Severus can't be turning into a Demon! I need Blue Spider Lily! Harry searched in Severus' pockets for the potion, and found a bottle with barely a few drops left. C'mon please work... Harry silently hoped, until Severus' eyes rolled back in, revealing deep black pupils, and his nails slowly shortened. "What was that? I thought Kibutsuji was dead?" Harry blustered after Severus had woken from his trance. "No. Turns out Sakura has a breath weapon which did this. Sneaky bitch." Severus added in a growl. "Umm...who's Sakura?" Harry stuttered, bewildered. "Honestly that was the thickest question you just asked. I slayed her." Severus sneered matter-of-factly as if she was some pesky pest. "Oh. I must be a deep sleeper then." Said Harry thickly, finally coming to his senses. "That was awkward.
