Hello My lovely readers! Saphira coming to you with a brand new story. Now I'm really not a fan of Twilight. However I got inspired to read this from a YouTube comment from a channel criticing the book. https/youtu.be/w1G_uzyi94g
The commentor named Jessica C. inspired me to write this so she really deserves all the credit. We both collaborated on this yet she deserves all the credit for the awesome idea! She goes by Angel Blood Rose here on if anyone would like to check her out. :-)
Disclaimer. We both don't own Twilight (Not that we would ever want to) So with Plot idea by Angel Blood Rose, OC by me, enjoy! :-)
Chapter 1: This Sucks.
'What a piece of shit.' I thought to myself as Charlie drove me to the "house" I would be staying in from now on. Charlie must have seen my expression in the mirror "It looks better when it's sunny, you'll see." Knowing Forks, I wouldn't. The only thing Forks weather was good for was a funeral. Dark, gloomy, and always looked like it was ready to start pissing rain at any moment. Yup. Perfect for a funeral; Bella's to be exact, my sister couldn't have planned it better herself.
Well, the Bella I knew at least. From sister/best friend to total stranger in under a year, we beat our parents' record. I keep trying to figure out what happened, we had been closer than twins despite taking after different relatives physically.
She took our mum's characteristics and I got our grandmother's wild storm cloud of curly black hair and baby blue eyes to match. I don't think I'd changed enough for her to hate me, an extra year in the sun and a dozen in ballet shouldn't cause such a rift, not when Bella had come to every recital before she moved here…
Before she met him. It started out small, a few less emails, some terse replies, normal reactions to something as exhausting as moving.
The first time he was brought up was relatively normal too, the local weird kid staring at the new girl; you know just plain old high school nonsense. Except she didn't stop talking about him: "Annabelle! He's not that weird! His name is Edward" "Not that weird? You said he looked sick just being in the same room as you." "I know but we talked and he took me to dinner and his sister Alice-" "Alright, I get it! How are your other friends?" "Huh?" "You know? Angela, Jessica, Eric? Didn't that Mike guy ask you out or something?" "Oh, yeah. They're doing okay. I think." "You think?" "I've been busy! Just drop it! Please."
I shouldn't have dropped it. I never should have dropped it but she sounded so tired and she barely called by that point, I just didn't want to lose her.
But i have...and I didn't get to say goodbye. She went missing for a week before being found last month, I was going to give her such a lecture on safety… but there's not much point in lecturing a casket.
But I do have questions for it, mainly who on earth would murder Bella? She was only a threat to herself and anything fragile she might be carrying. There are suspects of course, her body was found right between the Cullens' property and the local Indigenous American reservation. Now "Mr Perfect's" family is getting investigated along with several Indigenous residents.
The police had given me a list of names to see if I recognised anyone, I wasn't much help but I didn't expect to see Jacob Black on the list. It shouldn't have been a surprise, the guy stuck to Bella like glue every summer when we visited Forks as kids, completely forgot about me until I dropped a rat down his shirt. Heh. At least I still had one thing in common with my sister: shit taste in guys. I wish I had visited last summer. The funeral is tomorrow and I'm staying with Charlie for… a while. He's going to be busy with the investigation and Mom doesn't want me traveling without him.
They both want me away from here as soon as possible though. First thing they've agreed upon in years. I agreed with them too especially once I found out I'd be staying in Bella's room, I wondered if the bed was still warm. I sighed, feeling cold and reached for the locket around my neck. It's half of all I have left of her.The locket was shaped like a tear drop and had a bail between the locket and chain that was closed while the top part that opened was dome shaped and a little smaller than the base. The connecting arms between the upper part and the body had a beautiful arch and the gemstone between the bail and the connecting arms was a gorgeous garnet stone. Finally in the back of the locket, three waves could be seen carved in the back.
A tap on my shoulder broke me out of my thoughts to find that we'd arrived. "Annabe-" "Anna. Dad. It's Anna. You're not- Bella's the only one who can-." Damnit! I'm not going to choke up over a name.
"Shoot. I know kid, I'm sorry." Charlie rubbed the back of his head thoughtfully. "Do you want to go sort your room out?" If it weren't for the rain, my glare would have set the house on fire. "Mom's place is better." It's a low blow but it gets the point across. He backs off. I drag my stuff out as slow as possible, one last ditch effort to avoid everything. It's a one person room and it's not mine.
